Merry Christmas my friend. I very much enjoy watching your videos about the Autel drone. I have one myself and I also make many videos about it on my channel.
Usually hand landing will do that when the distance to what it thinks is ground would require a hover. Holding the L stick down after catching generally stops quickest. You can also press the land button. Since it usually lands at the 1m or so height to ground if not at that height it may fight during a hand catch.
One issue with Smart Controller (I fly with it, and the Enterprise comes with it, but he doesn't like it) There is no take off/land button - even if they say so in the tiny quick start that comes with it. The SC is completely undocumented and has gotten little development; a shame really. It also has a 3 SECOND delay on pause/brake button. That's a ridiculous safety breach and I have told Autel this in every way I know how, but no fix to date and I doubt they ever will. try and stop a precision landing that is off and about to land on a car, sand, a child's head... 3 seconds is an eternity when it is about to have a collision.
Good Video. Finally a comprehensive video with out getting to technical and you beat me to it. Was going to make on as well. Still might when the new one arrives. The more the better since the YT verse is flooded with DJI videos.
Go for it no reason not to I’ll be curious to hear another take on some of this too. DJI getting old to me. I love the newness factor to Autel. It’s funny because now I’ll get tagged as Autel fanboy or something and been flying DJI for 5 plus years now and Autel for only a year plus. People can’t stand you actually like another product more than DJI like it’s unthinkable or something. 😂 To me image quality means SO much and also not having to fart around with DJI telling me what I can do with their overprotective geofencing. After my Cine experience I know DJI is not my drone of choice ever again. Every ounce of my soul points to Autel. 🧡
@@AtortAerialsI'll take the time to make a video this weekend if the Bird shows up this week ( hopefully by mid week). I'll figure out what all I want to include in the video so that it offers the same but a little different. So you can't be an Autel Fanboy on here? Guess I had better re-think my purchase then😂. Has to be DJI only? Not buying it. Use the tools your comfortable with and know. If it's DJI , then use DJI. But, if you want to be different, step out and make a path for yourself and never let others shame you about your choices. You can fly both! How many comments in groups have we seen that DJI flyers are leaving due to the geofencing issues and I think it's only going to get worse. Why buy a drone that you then have to turn around and spend more money on having it unlocked so you can fly anywhere you want. I will not judge anyone who fly's DJI, it's their choice, hell it's the drone I started with and the Mini 2 is an excellent bird and would love to own another one. Bu the DJI flyers who bash Autel users need to look around at themselves. what happens if the GOV agencies enforce rules saying no DJI products for drone jobs. What will they do then? To keep their business will they then have to purchase an Autel?
Why don't you have the strobe that it comes with installed on it? I realize its a single LED, but that's the whole point of the Enterprise. What are you doing with the Smart Controller? Thought you didn't like it? I absolutely love the V2 Smart Controller, just wish they cached video to it during flight for quick review. I had the E2P and my Mavic 3 out last night. The 2 killer prosumer drones!
I opted to not have them ship the smart controller for now they customized my bundle with the version 2 standard controller instead. I put the Firehouse strobe on just because I can. I’ll use the one of course too that came with the Enterprise I just slapped on because I could.
I believe Startpoint means the drone and remote have good connection and the craft is ready to fly pretty much in Atti mode, you will notice starpoint will come on first then ready to fly once it has enough satellites..
@@AtortAerials This is how Autel described Starpoint: "Starpoint Positioning System measures flying height and optically tracks position in situations where GPS satellites are out of reach" - Per Autel from 2017 with the X-Star page.
One annoyance. Try finding spare props for the Enterprise. I was this close to swapping my V2 E2P and V2 Smart controller, but support is pretty lame so far for a device selling to commercial/Gov't customers.
I can see the difference between DJI and Autel. DJI keeps messing up in a big time. I like the way this footage app looks so professional and I'm pretty sure that you're happily satisfied with your new drone over the M3C.
I’m SO stoked over this enterprise you have no idea! Even if the Mavic 3 didn’t F up and crash I still wouldn’t have been that excited about it I know.
You did well here but my experience with Autel has been disappointing. Remote control on the Lite + wont stay connected and there is apparently no such thing as customer support in that company.
I’m gonna do a video on some of this stuff today. I had such a miserable experiences with DJI and also not so pleasant experiences with Autel as well. I think it’s just part of the deal with anything drone company related unfortunately. I have probably 10 grand into DJI and $7k into Autel and my most favorite drone I fly is my mini 2! The disconnect thing is so frustrating regardless of the manufacturer!
Finally! Been waiting for an Enterprise video like this. Looking forward to the follow-up. Just curious though does it have a buffer for camera shots so that it slows to a soft stop instead of abruptly? Thanks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you also
Glenn what do you mean by slows yo a soft stop? Are you talking about for burst mode or something meaning will it hit a buffer? Let me know I’ll try to answer. Merry Christmas too!
Have you ever enabled the the defog tick,? curious... I believe it is an in camera de-noise feature. I am not completely sure but I never used it. Just was wondering your thoughts on it.
I use it on occasion actually. It’s kind of like a dehaze in post being applied to your shots or footage. Kind of cool at times just gives it a bit more punch.
@@AtortAerials It actually cranks up contrast, saturation and tweaks white balance. I use it all the time, in combination with the manual camera controls to pre-grade the video since my editing skills suck. I was expert with Adobe Premiere... 20 years ago, lol. I am trying to decide which app to spend hours/days/weeks of learning on, and I haven't settled yet. Oh - and Defog has 10 levels of intensity, so just a "1" or "2" can subtly add that punch without stepping all over it.
Hey, what is your impression of Enterprise vs E2P? I have a V2 E2P and V2 Smart Controller, that because of timing (I waited 2 MONTHS for my Pre order SC to come in, and the Enterprise arrived 1st, for $150 more than my setup) What do you think of flight characteristics and the bigger props/motors/longer CF arms? Is it a notable improvement? Is battery life nearly 10% longer as they claim? (44 mins vs 40) and is it worth taking a hit to fly the big boy on the E2 lineup?
Honestly I haven’t had enough time with it yet. It’s a beautiful drone….it has the accessories which if that would help you of course a plus. But honestly I love my regular Evo 2 Pro just as much even with no carbon arms. I haven’t been able to test battery life yet the weather has been absolute crap here. They say it’s longer of course and that would help with mapping missions, etc. but I almost thought about just returning the enterprise and having two regular Evo 2 Pro’s too. I love the fact they have that case that holds two bodies too…the enterprise won’t fit in that case because longer arms. So not sure it’s a badass drone but really they both are.
@@AtortAerials Yeah. Agree the Enterprise is badass for sure, but there's only that one big case that it fits- kind of a one-off, like a custom hot rod that no one makes stuff for! 😉 The Dual case is cool, assuming you have 2 Evo 2's. I love their small shoulder bag for quick trips..The Rugged case is a freaking suitcase, lol. Look at the bag. Perfect for you walking around. ruclips.net/user/shortsFu-r75TtkhU?feature=share
@@BlairAir I agree that case kind of annoying big which I’m not a huge fan. Since I didn’t opt for the smart controller I think I’m going to mod the case to for my standard controller and Skyfire rig by slicing into it with a big blade and making space for it….then I just have that one case for everything to at least consolidate. I guess once things go more commercial/professional it’s part of the game carrying more heavier things.

honestly i don't see the upside to hand catching especially when you have a nice clean hard surface to land on. we should be teaching the new flyers how to do this; it's just popping a wheelie on your sportbike so unnecessary. if those props attack your face, you're going to be sorry. maybe i just don't trust the drone but take off or landing, i would never put my face and hands near the autel rotating blades like i would for a mini, for example. otherwise, great video! :)
Yeah I kind of agree to a point. I mentioned Autel doesn’t suggest it or to do it. I have just always hand caught my drones even when I first started because I was taught that way. Many times I hate the dust and stuff that gets kicked up onto the drone that’s a main reason why. I do land on ground more than I did in past though especially with Inspire 2 which is scary to hand launch and land! 😬
Autel Evo 2 series drones fail to shut down all the time. It does not know it has landed. I have had it happen a half dozen times on each one I have. Make sure you cover/block bottom sensors when hand catching.
More than likely it could still see the ground and thought it was still in the air
Normally like you saw the second attempt it shut down perfectly. Do I need bigger hands?!? 😝✋🏽✋🏽✋🏽✋🏽
