R1/9 “ROCKAWAY HERE WE COME” FULL RFW RIDE 96 St Second Ave To Rockaway Park beach 116 St

Part of the rockaway here we come trip the r1/9s were brought out as a special train going straight to the rockaways non stop. The train went via the Q line and than it went backwards on the r line to queens plaza where it could go via 8th avenue and finish via the E and A line. Note around the 31:00 minute mark the audio cuts off not really sure why but it does but comes back later on. WARNING there may be some cursing in this video if you don’t want to hear that click off the video. Definitely a different routing. Used my NYC track map to see how it got pulled off at Queens Plaza. I decided it's better with the sound off; I like the train sounds but not so much the people sounds. We got a glimpse around 50th St of what you had to go through to even make the video. Thanks for your effort.

I think one of the wheels has a flat spot. As a kid going over Cross Bay to Rockaway was one of my favorite joy rides.

One of the very few times you'll ever see a s/b train from Queens switch to the express track before 42nd St. Rush hour E trains used to do it back in the day.

Rush Hour E’s stopped at the lower level 42st platform which was used for the xtra fare Aqueduct racetrack station special now its all blocked by the 7 extension tunnel.

Yeah I agree at times the train and people could get annoying especially the people shoving to get to the window but hey I couldn’t do anything about it so there’s really no trying.
