Honestly I still have a soft spot for Miranda because in my playthrough...she was the only one who died that wasn't storyline driven.......and when Reflections played with Ori crying and my shep out his head to Miranda I felt that deep and cried too
God, I never cry in games, but this scene with Garrus almost got me there. His cute tryhard-ness, and then him opening up about his regret and loss of hope. "I want something to go right" :'(
If you read his novel. You'll understand why he's saying what he's saying to shepard. He started training as a sniper when he was a child under his father's wing. His father was super strict with garrus often punishing him if he missed a shot. If garrus missed a shot he would force garrus to shoot his rifle for hours without breaks sometimes days without breaks. Theres an art of a kid garrus crying in the novel with a broken arm still shooting his rifle while his dad shouts at him. Garrus is mentally scarred and puts this wall around him. Not even male shep saw this side of garrus. With femshep this is the only time you'll see that dark vulnerable side of him.
Garrus will always be my Shepard's best mate. The one who can crash at any time, raid the fridge and when I call him in the middle of the night with the words "dude, I killed a man" would answer "where do I bring a shovel?". Garrus is the true embodiment of a trrue friend who would have your back no matter what. And I would never have the heart not to miss that last shot at the cans...

Ironic how a fictional turian boyfriend can feel so real. This is beautiful...I jsut finished what is probably my last play through of Mass Effect (3), and actually got a little emotional a few times. I realized I'm actually going to *miss* this game - that I had grown attached to the characters and the world they set Mass Effect in. there are only a very few special games in which the soundtracks actually spur memories and emotions beyond 'that just sounds good.'
I've romanced Tali so many times at one point I thought it was HER theme, namely due to this playing when you so much as begin the relationship (a scene as emotional as the song) and, well, I suppose the name Reflections may have had something to do with it...it's much better than that lame sex baseline in the first game, but I'd be hard-pressed between this and the ME3 love theme.
Holy shit, the feels bro. Reminding me of back when I played ME2. This music always gets me severely depressed nowadays knowing that 99% of the ME3 outcomes end with Shepard dead and Ashley alone. I literally had to replay me3 4 fucking times to get the half good ending where she refuses to put Shepards name in the wall and it is revealed he lives.
+TheHarryHindu Lets hope the indoctrination theory was true.. At least I do believe in it. The ME games are a masterpiece with some of the best music I've ever heard
There is literally no other way than the Indoctrination Theory. I refuse to believe that Bioware writers went from 100 to 10 in the span of one game. I refuse to believe that. Without IT, there are way too many amateur plot holes and out-of-place gameplay mechanics. IT is the one and only true ending.
Fuuuuuuuuuuck the feels...every time I hear this, "siha" pops into my head, and then I think of Thane, and then I think of the Citadel, and then I wanna cry...! Now I wanna play Mass Effect again...should tide me over until the fall semester starts...
I've gone and watched all romance scenes in ME2 and they all make me cry. This game tugs at my emotions more than any other, and will always. Especially the Tali and Garrus romance. I'm a grown, 6'4 man and I weep.
It's insane, I've replayed the trilogy I think 10 times and it still hits you in the feels. Never had games made me feel so attached to characters and story before and after.
Credits to this game helping me grow as a person, seeing what truly matters with these kinds of relationships...simply being there for each other. You don't know what you have...until the day it may be gone.
I thought of this song when asking a girl out last semester, and I can't even tell you how much better the experience was because of it. I owe you one, Jack Wall.
Kaidan's awesome as a LI, and Thane has the whole tragic badass angle going on, but for the male options I'd have to say that Garrus is the best all-around. He's so cool and funny, and so delightfully awkward during the ME2 scenes. I always laugh at his lines, but I still want to reach into the screen and hug him. ME3 turns him into easily one of the steamiest LIs I've seen in any game in almost 20 years of gaming. It really is a pity he isn't romanceable in ME1.
"We are gathered here, to honor the life of Thane Krios... Thane touched each of our lives in different ways. The councilor knew him as a hero... The Normandy's crew knew him as a brother-in-arms. And others as a father, devoted to his son... Though his life took him to very dark places, Thane cared the better angels of our nature. He once said that he first felt love for his wife, when she stepped in front of an assassin, to save someone she didn't even know... And when he knew his death was close, he chose to die doing nearly the same thing...also for someone he didn't even know...Just as he loved his wife for it...I still love him for it... And I don't think that will ever change...Would anyone else like to speak?"
I absolutely love this theme. It perfectly suits Shepard, the circumstances, the worth of each lover's feelings - a deeply moving tune with a much more somber and sorrowful theme to it than romantic or passionate. It speaks out with a desperately determined tone to win the battles they are waging, there is now so much more to lose.
Imagine reading an excellent fanfiction (Unbreakable Bond) extending the relationship between Shepard and Tali, and it spans over the 3 games That soundtrack plays itself very often
I couldn't decide between Garrus and Thane... I was a goddamn fool, because I chose Thane. Go ahead and insult me, but spoiler alert, Thane died of his sickness in the third game. It would have never worked out. Garrus, on the other hand. He had actually gone through so much, with Sidonis' betrayal, his entire crew dying, how he thought everything he did was bad and that all the bad times were his fault. "I just want something to go right." We Garrus Vakarian lovers know exactly what that had meant in the second game. If anything, if Shepard hadn't come back to life, Garrus would have died. Garrus would have died along with his crew. He'd been through one big hell while Shepard was dead. And then in the third game after not hearing from his family, being worried sick, thinking that every day could have been his last dying breath and carrying that heavy burden on his shoulders. If anything, he had gone through much, MUCH more than Thane. Thane suffered a loss, his wife, and his son, but at least his son was alive and finally there for him when he needed him most. Garrus had no one, he didn't talk at all with his family in any of the games, we didn't get to even SEE his family. Being in the army, you can't see family. At least Thane got to see his son. Garrus went through hell and back, if anything I feel like he was the most developed and meaningful character in the game. I would die a million times for that Turian, in real life or something as simple as that game.
Honestly, that's a tough choice between Garrus and thane I don't blame you, to be honest. I do wish Thane continued the romance it was his last moment in the 3rd game and it would have been a really sad moment if you were there loving him until he dies. Loving thane until the end.
I can't describe how much I love this game. It's been a long time since I last played the trilogy and I miss everything in it. Maybe I should start this adventure again...
Kevin Ndema-Marchais Oh trust me, I have payed a lot of attention to the music, is one of the most important aspects I check in a video game, I didn't say they weren't good at all, just not memorable. For example, Zelda's Lullaby on the Zeldas games, or One Winged Angel from FF7, those are memorable themes.
Tali in one of my playthroughs (no romance on ME1, Engineer, Destroy High EMS). It was not my first playthrough, but it was probably the playthrough I remember the best. I had her in the final mission on ME1 in my squad, then on ME2's finale. I was sad I couldn't get her on ME3's finale as well :< Other playthrough was Ashley (ME1 into ME3, nothing in between) ended in Synthesis. But... I just couldn't NOT come back to Tali :
People who are worried if Clint Mansell can't pull off the music for the romance needs listen to more of his music. Clint Mansell is a master at making beutiful melancholy/romantic music like this.
Lonely Dreamer It got my through Highschool and I love the story and the music will always have a place in my heart no matter how far ahead. I'll always love the original trilogy.
“It’s just...my team...Sidonis...just once. Just *once* I want something to go right...” Shepard: I was there for you Jack. You’re the one that kept turning me away. Jack: I know...! But...I’m here...and I want you to know...that I’m trying, okay...? Shepard: It’s okay. No more questions. Thane’s Funeral Garrus: It’s strange...but the last word I would use to describe Thane is ‘assassin’. We would cover each other in firefights, so that makes him a ‘partner’. EDI: When Thane first boarded the Normandy, I tried getting him to laugh. He didn’t, but what I mistook as a lack of humor was instead a deep reservoir of confidence. Thane was turning his life around in ways few organics do.
Shields was a great hero who sought to protect us from the endings, he died in vain and will be remembered for his heroic sacrifice. Damn you Mac walters!
MAN....I FLIPPING LOVE THIS SERIES. I haven't been so addicted to a game in such a looong time. ME2 is probably one of the best games ever (in my opinion) cause you get so attached to the characters. Oh and I romanced Kaidan :D
This might just be my favourite OST in Mass Effect... It has better associations than An End Once and for All, which always reminds me of the rubbish ending, even though it's such a beautiful OST. Reflections makes me think of Garrus and Thane. :3
@HyperKnuckles888 Clint Mansell composed the scores for Requiem For A Dream, Pi, and The Fountain. Requiem For A Dream is responsible for one of the most famous compositions in history. It's sad that Jack's gone, but don't worry. Bioware was sure to pick the one composer that could live up to his work. :)

That music and hugging crying Jack. Right in the feels ^_^
The only theme I can actually remember from the trilogy, there wasn't so many memorable themes but this and the suicide mission.
I think you haven't paid enought attention. They are a lot of really good soundtrack in the trilogy man
Kevin Ndema-Marchais
Oh trust me, I have payed a lot of attention to the music, is one of the most important aspects I check in a video game, I didn't say they weren't good at all, just not memorable. For example, Zelda's Lullaby on the Zeldas games, or One Winged Angel from FF7, those are memorable themes.
Tom Mckay Well i guess it's a matter of personnal taste ! Have a good day sephiroth sama
Tom Mckay Zelda? FF7? AHAHAhahahaha oh wait you were serious
Solaxe Solaxowski I have no idea about FF7 but in Zelda there are loads of memorable themes. Mass Effect just has a couple of really really good ones.
* shakes head *
"The difference was you."
Still listening in 2014.
Damn right
2015
No sé Te hamo yeeeeees
No sé Te hamo The feels never fails throughout the years. lol
still listening in 2015
Tali in one of my playthroughs (no romance on ME1, Engineer, Destroy High EMS). It was not my first playthrough, but it was probably the playthrough I remember the best. I had her in the final mission on ME1 in my squad, then on ME2's finale. I was sad I couldn't get her on ME3's finale as well :<
Other playthrough was Ashley (ME1 into ME3, nothing in between) ended in Synthesis. But... I just couldn't NOT come back to Tali :
People who are worried if Clint Mansell can't pull off the music for the romance needs listen to more of his music. Clint Mansell is a master at making beutiful melancholy/romantic music like this.
I prefer the "I Was Lost Without You" theme better
When Jack begins to cry... :'(
Thane made me cry like noone else
2019 and i still find myself back to the old mass effect games...they don't make them like this anymore
I always come back to this song.
"Thane...be alive with me tonight."
miranda, it's amazing to see how she changes and how she evolves with this romance in me2 and me3
So beautiful, I could go to sleep listening to that song, I could see stars and planets above me, I need to bathe in holy water it's so beautiful. :')
*glances at photograph of Kaidan.*
Amazing romance theme. I love Mass Effect trilogy. Most of my happiest gaming memories happened because of it.
Tali will always be my romance. Even if Shepards story is done. No one can replace Tali for me. Sorry Vetra...But you'll never be good enough.
This music fully describes my whole attitude to this game.
I’ll never have an RPG experience like I had with Mass Effect.
Garrus!!!
I completely forgot about this track... maybe it was because I chose to not romance anyone in the second game and just be with Kaiden...
+People_And_Me same, except for Ashley.
+People_And_Me Don't you remember? It also plays in the background when you look at your ME1 love interest's picture before the suicide mission.
+phantommangagirl you are completely right!
"I want something to go right. Just once..."
I see, Well. Time to do some calibrations.
Anyone else feel so strongly about this game in 2018??? :D
Me
Niice, It brings joy to see there's still people loving this game so much till the end of humanity-or the universe in Shepard's case. Ha!
Lonely Dreamer It got my through Highschool and I love the story and the music will always have a place in my heart no matter how far ahead. I'll always love the original trilogy.
It's my favorite romance track of any Bioware game :D So I'll be enjoying this for years to come.
How about 2019?
And also me, but I romance Kaidan every time
"Are you saying you could die if we're together?"
The Love Theme and Reflections always get me with the drum beat sounding like a heartbeat. Shepard and your romance partner beating in unision ❤❤
The most beautiful song in the whole galaxy...
thank you for uploading this :)
these songs are making me fucking cry ugly tears
Garus
st fu 💚
“It’s just...my team...Sidonis...just once. Just *once* I want something to go right...”
Shepard: I was there for you Jack. You’re the one that kept turning me away.
Jack: I know...! But...I’m here...and I want you to know...that I’m trying, okay...?
Shepard: It’s okay. No more questions.
Thane’s Funeral
Garrus: It’s strange...but the last word I would use to describe Thane is ‘assassin’.
When I first played mass effect 2 and romanced Tali, and this song started playing, I just melted to her sweetness.
@pricture Normally I would agree, but the new guy is Clint Mansell, the guy who did Requiem for a Dream. Mass Effect 3's soundtrack is in good hands.
He was a romance option in ME1, he just rocked your world so hard that you don't remember anything about it.
We'll bang okay
I love you Garrus!!!
I get goosebumps every single time I hear this.
Don't know why but I love this track, I really love the deep cello in it.
WHY couldn't there be a scene betwen Shepard and Liara with this soundtrack? :(
there is in the dlc, she go back in her cab and watch the liara picture on her desk
Minouchtik and proceeds to fap furiously
Well mine (femshep) must have
Minouchtik what do you call it when a woman faps? "shlick"?
This might just be my favourite OST in Mass Effect... It has better associations than An End Once and for All, which always reminds me of the rubbish ending, even though it's such a beautiful OST. Reflections makes me think of Garrus and Thane. :3
For me, this theme is Thane's funeral..
:( rest well, friend.
Two savegames, Miranda on one, Jack on the other, only romances my Sheps ever had
This may be an indication that you are a psychopath.
Yes, I'm sorry I didn't fully read through your comment when I made mine. I also think her design is pretty neat, even though I wish it could have been more alien.
brings back so many memories....
"i cleared the engine room"
"you do know that it was cleared already because the ship was abducted"
damn it Shepard come to the engine room
we'll bang ok
thats how it went for me anyway
Just wish there was someone to be with.
This picture is perfect
Amazing truly a miracle of Sound
Tali ❤️❤️❤️🙏
Mi trilogía de videojuegos favorita
I just noticed that the outfit Garrus is wearing in the pic isn't the same color as the one he wears in ME2, but is the same color as what he wears in ME3, yet this vid was made a year before ME3 :S
Um yes it does cross over. You still get to meet them and interact with them during the main game you know.
I always go with tali if I’m male Shepard and Garrus if I’m female.
