In my opinion, this is the best video game theme in all of gaming anywhere. There are plenty of amazing themes in gaming that fit really well with the game or certain specific situations, however this one is good on its own and fits that. It conveys the feeling of mystery with a space like rhythm to it in a perfect way of making its very good sounding rhythm that is supposed to be the main beat this. Most gaming themes have a base theme then a lot of different background mini themes that add to the theme as a whole. This theme has that, but it conveys the feel of a mystery and space adventure so well that the mystery part blends perfectly with the space feel to make it sound absolutely perfect and make you sit there and ponder maybe through memories. Or perhaps the meaning of life or what you are gonna do when you grow up etc. it makes you wonder while also making you especially have a fun time exploring while in the world of mass effect, while playing the game. It's feel is like mario galaxy, but instead of calm it's mysterious; making it teach a different lesson than Mario Galaxy. Mario Galaxy teaches you sometimes you need to step back and take a breather whether it be stress, arguing, or even working out or dealing with a problem. This theme alone in Mass Effect teaches you how to wonder what the answer to certain questions are in your life while the feel also inspires you to keep going to see what's next like future of human race, future of your favorite game franchise, future of space travel, future of your family, But most importantly, The future of you
this game is so nostalgic, so amazing. everything about it was just perfect. a 10/10. even for farming materials the ost was magic. damn time to replay this gem!!!!!
Ive finished reading Asimov's Foundation recently. Whenever i was in a part where he tried to describe the navigation interface of the various Empire and Foundation ships, this is the map that was coming into mind! So embedded, botht the map and the music. If only he could have seen that game
This absolutely beautiful piece of music reminds me of happier times. My first Mass Effect was 2 and the whole adventure, the story, the hidden gems that could be found were fantastic. In my opinion, possibly one of the best game series ever.
I love the Galaxy Map in ME2. So much excitement - so many new worlds! Where shall we head next? Perhaps Illium or the Citadel, or Tuchanka? So many dreams - glorious dreams of worlds filled with ancient secrets of those who have come before us.... Playing this game for the first time was truly amazing.

Any part of this soundtrack makes me smile and grin like an absolute weirdo 😆 I remember downloading the legendary edition with the mindset of just trying to get the last game asap since these games were “old”, the first Mass Effect is by far my favorite one; EVERYTHING was so alien about the games story and characters, even what was supposed to be taken as the norm - I can’t help but feel like the game developers nailed it by making me, the player, feel an alien visitor in a real life economy, civilization, unique cultures etc, it was like playing a book! Anyways I whipped past the first 3 and found myself upset, not only was I annoyed with myself for not playing the games sooner, but also annoyed I felt like I didn’t savor the story (I had max charisma and didn’t have to shoot Drax). Playing Andromeda now at a snails pace, sometimes not even playing the game just “staring” out the window into deep space, contemplating my next real life jump in life…
Mass Effect gave me so many great memories. I truly love this game with all my heart. Music, Character, Lore, everything about Mass Effect 1 and 2 are amazing. I would literally just listen to this song in game for hours. I remember I would wake up every morning to drink coffee and play Mass Effect. This game is undoubtedly my favorite games of all times.
Play the song while you're looking at Google maps to look for stuff it's kind of feels like Mass effect except you're not harvesting resources except for enjoyment of your mind I guess.
I feel like Mass Effect has a few tunes qualify as the defining themes for the series: galaxy map, Vigil (obvs), and either the Normandy music from ME1 (always annoys me that they didn't have something similar in 2 and 3) or M4, pt. 2 (aka the credits music for ME1)

This theme alone in Mass Effect teaches you how to wonder what the answer to certain questions are in your life while the feel also inspires you to keep going to see what's next like future of human race, future of your favorite game franchise, future of space travel, future of your family,
But most importantly,
The future of you
Who else read the entire thing?
@@Subuzy nah
i'll wait for the game
This is strangely calming for some reason.
When I look at the map I just remember how tiny we are in the universe. just wow
Oh no, why did this have to be the channel trailer... instant involuntary inner contemplation.
Absolute best trilogy ever! I put my heart and soul into this game. Will always be in my top 5
this game is so nostalgic, so amazing. everything about it was just perfect. a 10/10.
even for farming materials the ost was magic.
damn time to replay this gem!!!!!
ME2 is the greatest sequel in video game history!
The build up of great things to come.
Mass Effect 1 brought me a beautiful dream. Mass Effect 2 brought me the companions to experience it with. Mass Effect 3 brought me an alarm clock.
This is what I live for..... ;)
I also.

I could listen to this all day long so peaceful
I love the Galaxy Map in ME2. So much excitement - so many new worlds! Where shall we head next? Perhaps Illium or the Citadel, or Tuchanka? So many dreams - glorious dreams of worlds filled with ancient secrets of those who have come before us.... Playing this game for the first time was truly amazing.
The new remastered is coming out soon so hyped to play through all 3 games again!!
yeah boiiiiiiiiii
How was it friend?
@@sheparedcomanderN7 pretty good. They’re just as good as I remembered them when I played them originally!
@@thereclaimer2945 I just got LE myself. It’s good to see them looking better than ever. Especially ME1. I’m still sad that pinnacle station isn’t here though
Just play the originals. If you like, you can get mods on the Nexus for free that look and play better than the ME:LE, which is a cheap and pathetic cash grab.
I came to this video just for nostalgia and forgot it was on in another tab for 10 minutes, it just fits as a sleek audio background so well
Any part of this soundtrack makes me smile and grin like an absolute weirdo 😆 I remember downloading the legendary edition with the mindset of just trying to get the last game asap since these games were “old”, the first Mass Effect is by far my favorite one; EVERYTHING was so alien about the games story and characters, even what was supposed to be taken as the norm - I can’t help but feel like the game developers nailed it by making me, the player, feel an alien visitor in a real life economy, civilization, unique cultures etc, it was like playing a book! Anyways I whipped past the first 3 and found myself upset, not only was I annoyed with myself for not playing the games sooner, but also annoyed I felt like I didn’t savor the story (I had max charisma and didn’t have to shoot Drax). Playing Andromeda now at a snails pace, sometimes not even playing the game just “staring” out the window into deep space, contemplating my next real life jump in life…
Therapist: your not supposed to hear pictures
me: sees any picture of space, this song starts in my head
Man this really puts me on a nostalgic trip
currently writing my final to this, very relaxing.
I cant believe it took me till the trilogy remasters to play this masterpiece
I love the Normandys. They have such great setting ambiance.
I love this so much. Great for work/study. Mass Effect 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
Ahh the nostalgia, the memories of a much simpler time. Like a warm blanket for my soul, nothing calms me down more than this
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
Literally my soul is singing this ❤️❤️
This game was a chunk of my childhood. I snuck into my older brother’s room to play it 😂
Play the song while you're looking at Google maps to look for stuff it's kind of feels like Mass effect except you're not harvesting resources except for enjoyment of your mind I guess.
😆
ME2 even had the best galaxy map, it's insane how perfect this game is.
Can't comment enough. So thankful you post this content, it's all I listen to at work. Keeps me focused
I love this game. Simple is.
Biiiiiig Tangerine Dream vibes. They absolutely nailed the sci-fi synth tones. Brilliant.
Would have done better myself. ;)
I can hear Edi saying “Probe Away”
hell yeah
It's amazing how the Mass Effect holds up as a coherent trilogy with good writing
Welllllll, until the ending(s) - but we can ignore those, right?
This is the main theme of the game as far as I'm concerned.
I feel like Mass Effect has a few tunes qualify as the defining themes for the series: galaxy map, Vigil (obvs), and either the Normandy music from ME1 (always annoys me that they didn't have something similar in 2 and 3) or M4, pt. 2 (aka the credits music for ME1)
@@aceshighdueceslow Let us not forget The Citadel: Upper Wards, CSEC: Atrium, Noveria: Port Hanshan Plaza, Mass Effect: Uncharted Worlds, and I am sure there are more.
