Glad to see so many people checking this video out, thank u for watching! But it’s been brought to my attention through the comments that this website isn’t actually a scam but more of a rip-off. And after searching the definitions I agree and wanna apologize since I used those 2 words interchangeably not realizing they had different meanings. Will likely change the title soon.

I'm going to be brutally honest here. You trash them, use them for views, and lie all while hiding your face. That's sad. You knew what you were doing. You made the title and thumbnail calling the business scam when you knew that it isn't? If anything, that makes you a scam. A SCAM is a deceptive scheme or trick used to cheat someone out of something. That's the definition. You deceptively titled your video and thumbnail to scam people into watching it where you benefit from the lie. None of your other videos have anywhere near the number of views this video does, and DKOlides is the only one you can thank for that. Expensive or not, DKOlides hasn't scammed anyone, the price on their website is the price when you add it to the cart, and it's the same price when you click to pay. They didn't price their stuff for $10.00 and then suddenly the price changes to $100.00 when you go to pay. This is why your channel wont grow. You may be able to scam clicks and views by lying in your knowingly lying in your title and thumbnail, but you won't scam long-term subscribers or engagement that way.

Just so you know, the NES' design causes the pins in the connector to bend which leads them to losing contact over time. You either need to bend the pins back into place manually, get a replacement connector, find something like the Blinking Light Win, or just get a top loader.

To be fair, you sound like you've got a good flea market who actually prices stuff right. GTA 5 does go for 9 bucks on PS3.
The worst are the ones who price stuff up. When I have a thrift store that overprices games, it's like "bitch, I'm browing random games here in impulse, you don't get to upcharge!" -- on ebay you get to choose exactly the one you want with a money back guarantee. Brick and mortar stores basing prices on ebay is gross.

Those "Sale" prices have been like that for years. As for their bs excuse for their prices, they always go for "It's because the shop is at the slow season. So they have to up the prices" and if it's not that one you get another along the lines of "We have very little in stock so we don't want to run out of stock". It's either one or the other, You always get different people giving you a different answer. I always went to GameStop at the time (2011) and I thought I’d try this new store. My grandmother took me there after school one day, and the store used to be a boutique, and the old woman kept it looking that way. She had an insane amount games in this store. I got super excited seeing how many games were there. I walked up to one of the rows/aisles and noticed all the games were either og xbox, nes, ps 1 & 2, gameboy, Nintendo 64 or PC games. She had 1 row of 360 games that were all games you’d never see advertising for, like Saw, Naughty Bear, and hunting games. Every single game there was priced at $45, for obviously used games. ALL of them. She had the related systems behind like a jewelry store glass display countertop. All systems were $250-$300. And she told my grandmother that she has a store rule that kids must have a parent with them in order to buy T or M games.
I left super disappointed. The store was open for 5 months and closed. All my friends went there, and no one ever left with a game or system.

So paying a few bucks more for a game you're sure it's going to be in really good condition, is not the end of the world. As far as consoles go, yea they charge way too much for those. This video really does show all my gripes with DKOldies. It's frighteningly easy for someone to get scammed using this website, especially for someone who doesn't know all that much about retro gaming. Just this summer, i was looking into buying one of those old wiis with the GameCube ports since my own childhood one did not and I was really looking for some clean GC controller functionality and another shot at enjoying the Wii's titles. When I searched online, I found that DKOldies had Wiis sailing for far over $80-$100 if you want all the wires and some games included when I ended up just buying a simple lot which came with the console, all the wires, 2 nunchucks (no wiimote unfortunately but I already had that covered) and a copy of Wii Play totaling to only $40. And even then I increased my own value of the Wii way more since I filled it with homebrew so now it's my ultimate retro machine for only $40! Please spread the word of DKOldies and help guide people away from these scammers

DK oldies gives off the same vibes as the game store somewhat near my house. They would sell all the DS games for the exact same price, aside from a few titles that were jacked to around 200 - 300 plus depending on if they had a box or not, or if they were litrally any of the pokemon games, but you could get like barbie princess adventure for the same price as a mariokart ds at around 35 bucks after tax canadian, or 60 - 300 dollars for a nintendo 64/snes/nes ect. game which is absrud. On top of that, the store itself was just was ran kinda sketchily. the workers just kinda intimidated you, the overall atmosphere was just kinda dark, and unsettling almost, and they would practically follow you around the store and were overly nice to you to the point where you felt bad about leaving without anything, and they almost made you feel obligated to pay their arbitrary prices for a crummy game on a near 20 year old console.

Not only does EBay typically have lower prices, sometimes actual steals from people underselling the market - they also have fucking pictures so I can gauge the quality more easily. If I order from DK - I just have to take them on face value that the product will not suck ass. If you are going to spend hundreds of dollars on a product not worth that - you'd at least expect the quality to be out of this world or at least have PICTURES TO SHOWCASE IT. Yeah it’s not an actual scam. Scams are illegal. It’s extremely expensive and unfair though. They’re artificially inflating the prices of retro games in order to sell games to people who don’t know any better. That’s not illegal, but it’s definitely unethical and immoral. It’s bad for the entire industry to be selling items at such unfair prices. It gives people unrealistic and unreasonable expectations for how much their own products are worth, causing them to to attempt to sell at the same prices online, driving up prices even further. Now sure, if there’s so much demand for certain products that people are actually paying that much, then the market is what the market is. But if you look at eBay then you’ll see that it’s not a fair market price at all. So yeah, it’s not a scam, they’re just ripping people off

Yes the sale is perpetual. I've worked at walmart hq, best buy hq, and another major retailers hq I won't name cause I currently work there and value paying my bills. They all employ that strategy. They have a revolving list of things they keep marked down then take it off sale for one week then put it back on sale for 6 months so they can say it's marked down. They fit just inside the regulations to keep it from being "fraudulent marketing". The one I work at currently only does it with some things and isn't nearly as bad as walmart and best buy and other retailers I've studied but in my experience this is something a lot of retailers do.

Ah. It's actually not that bad. I still collect alot of older games and have built up a pretty large collection over the last few years. I can tell you right now, either get into emulation or start collecting because the prices have steadily increased over the last 20 years. In 2001 you could buy NES games complete with a box and manual for about 30 bucks, now its around 100 bucks. Pretty much any GOOD games you can think of will go for atleast 100 bucks in very good condition. Ebay is the best bet. You need to haggle too. If you see a dude with ALOT of sales and has some classic games in nearly new condition, haggle with him. He'll drop down maybe 20-40 bucks, even offer to buy two, bite the bullet and spend the extra money and see if he'll cut you a deal. If he's got alot of stock chances are he'll do it. But you also gotta recognize the other types of ebay folks; older folks selling off old stuff they kept in good condition for years. I like to honor these people's prices because they don't have several games, typically they have one game in really good condition that's hard to find. You also can't be afraid to email folks. I've found alot of CDs that are out of print, some bootlegs from other countries, etc. just from asking around. You gotta get into the community and really dig in. Always look for a cheaper price. I personally always look for sealed copies of... anything but sometimes you gotta realize it's just not worth it. 200 bucks for Oracle of Ages complete with box and manual in mint condition... perfect. 120 bucks for Pilot Wings same condition... well... maybe pass.

You can still find NES consoles on eBay for only $80-100, and despite the 1 year returns from DK Oldies, on most eBay listings, eBay offers 1- and 2-year Allstate protection plans for only 15 bucks or so.
They're just looking to convert the 0.01% of viewers who don't know any better. To give an example, on my tiny little eBay page, I get the same clickthrough rate (0.3% of impressions turned into actual page views) and the same conversion rate (1.5% of clicks result in 1 unit sold), regardless of me having 1, 3, or 5 *_million_* impressions. It's all a numbers game. It doesn't matter if you're overpriced, so long as you get the traffic. This is why dropshipping sites and Amazon scams work. It doesn't matter that you can find that Bulbasaur plushie on eBay for 5 bucks. The single-item Shopify store that just sells that one Bulbasaur plush for $25 just paid Facebook/Instagram for ad placement, and the rest is history.
