Love the build, love the little car too for Ben, What a way to go as a family. You can see Michael will inspire Ben to do his own adult build in years to come and that is so good to see!

Really enjoyable content guys. Love Rod's laid back old-school mechanic's approach with cutting edge modern knowledge. Way too much gear on this one for my likings, but the dad/son/family thing won me over, very down to earth. What better use for any veh? Good stuff. Looking forward to more. Have a great 2023. Cheers PP

OMG, what a build, what a truck and what a family. Will definitely be watching their channel. Dude would have to be in the running for dad of the year for the effort he puts into making sure his son is included in everything. That would have to be one of the most reliable and capable Landrovers ever. Like totally top class. If I was to do a build again and didn't have over 200K invested in my troopy (excluding the spare crate motor, pump, injectors, etc) that Y62 is what I'd be building, just with the addition of a supercharger, coz you can never have too much torque hey. Hell, I might even sell my sporty just so I can make room for a Y62, or extend my garrage coz i really like my sporty?

Us Nissan owners know that Nissans are the best 4x4s on the market it,s just a matter of time when the tojo owners release the error of there ways and buy a real tough 4x4 a Y60,Y61 or a Y62. Patrol.

I’ve got both a gu and a y62, due to the wheel humps and various reasons, the y62 has a way larger boot, I haven’t tried but it’s close to fitting a standard pallet in the boot. This is due to the GU having a longer bonnet, and the y62 has the engine pushed further into the car

As a design . Nissans are outstanding. IFS for ride quality and clearance. Way ahead of Landcruiser. No skull dragging the diff. Just like a hummer. Love the Y62. If if came with a diesel OMG. The only drawback is the thirsty V8.. that being said. It gets similar economy to the 200 series. This is coming from a 200 series owner. I’ve seen the light. Thinking of trading up.

I have nothing but Toyota trucks and lives in Texas. The 300 is not sold into US so the 200 prices are crazy: A 40K miles driven 200 2014 sells around US$ 50 to 60K. I therefore inclined towards an Armada (Y62 in US). A brand new 23 4x4 armada is at $55K. I see TONS of Armada's in my area and no one seems to sell their Armadas! the ratio of 200 to Y62 is about 1 to 60 in my area. You said Y62 transmission is well built: That's good to hear. Armada has more comfortable ride compared to a 200. Also the front brakes on Armada are floating calipers while Y62 has fixed calipers.

Guess whos going to include shit loads of Michaels ideas on his next build, I am.
Brilliant work, thanks so much for letting us in on your design.
Certainly won't be a Toyota, cargo area too small, it may not be Y62-3 either but this truck may sway me there.
I was convinced it would be a Ineous Grenadier, but seeing one in the flesh two days ago, hmm, not so sure no more, cargo area smallish also.
LOL, but I'd look seriously at Defender, a petrol one & all.
Might wait till the pending Y63 appears prior to jumping out of my Y61.
A really good tourer requires a really good storage system to do it in comfort, thats my theory.

85k brand new for a Ti (dealer wanted 140k for a 200 VX at the time) how much for the equivalent 300 at the moment, if you can get one? The price difference alone is a major selling point.
Easy driving, power when you need it. Great value.

Us Nissan owners know that Nissans are Nissans with engines and 4 wheels and they can go forward and backwards and also turn left and right which is a good thing to have and us Nissan owners also love the name Nissan because it’s easy to say and easy to spell and also some Nissans are loud and some are quiet, and Nissans also love to be on the road and can take you to all the places that you need to go, also us Nissans owners also have Nissans which make us Nissans owners to, you can’t call yourself a Nissan owner without owning a Nissan. Don’t forget the fact that with Nissans you can also spend a lot of money on one and actually have nothing change about it, which is good because then you know it still works good
Nissans are also very good at having buttons and stuff so you won’t get bored you can press lots of buttons
    Anyway that’s my take
    Nissans rule guys 🫠
