Yo dude this was probably my favorite thooorins thoughts I've ever seen. People don't under when someone has a passion they'll throw themselves into until it becomes them. That's how I am with games as a whole and it's sad how people don't understand because they think it's nerdy or a waste of time
Thorin I need a 'Why Forg1ven failed his legacy' video right now and don't you dare pull any punches on ya boy. Here are some title ideas - 'Forg1ving and Forgetting' , 'By Far The Weakest Mental' , 'Rekkles Abandonment - A Unforg1vable Decision'
It would be actually sick if u made a biography of ur life and how u got to the spot u are in now, ive read alot of biographies like Cristiano Ronaldo and Muhammed Ali and its fascinating to read about the drive of someone
I've watched your videos occasionally, not the biggest fan but I think your content has a lot of depth and this particular video showed a lot of that. My question is, how did you get started on learning? Purely watching vods, reading other content creators, or a combination? Where do you find information regarding an individual player, asking them online or researching websites with info? etc. Keep up the good work! -Solomon
You DONT have to do this to have a successful fulfilling life! Yes. If you want to be number one, or top 5, or top 100 in the world, this is one of the few ways you can do it. But for most people that isn’t the way. Take this as a reminder to respect those in ANY PROFESSION who dedicate themselves and make sacrifices to be the best. But don’t take this video as a suggestion for the path of your life.
I feel like I got a different message from this video. The message I got was this: If you really and truly want to achieve something; you have to take a hard look at yourself internally and ask yourself if you really are giving it everything you have. I want to be a novelist some day, and yet all I'm doing is working my 9-5 and using my off time to play games instead of putting my spare time into improving my writing or working on my book. If i cant even put in THAT level of effort, how can I at any point feel bad about not achieving anything meaningful? If I really and truly want to be a writer, I need to continuously focus on my craft, improve at it, and not be afraid of failing. I need to take EVERY opportunity available to me (within reason) and put my best efforts into it. If I dont do that, then I can't claim to be "unlucky" or anything of that sort. Ontop of that, I can't look to external sources as my only source of motivation. Sure, I would like to have a ton of money from being a successful author, but what if my book doesnt pan out? What if I dont feel like I have the energy because in not sleeping well or staying in shape? In order to be successful, you need to have true passion for what you do and that passion needs to come from within. That way, you will ALWAYS have a motivating factor or drive to keep you moving forward. This video was JUST the thing I needed, the very last piece of the puzzle, for me to finally start writing the book i had planned to write for the last 5 years since I graduated from college and dropped out of my post-grad. If I dont truly dedicate myself to it, if im not truly passionate enough to see it through, how can I claim that I really wanted it? This video has multiple useful lessons in it, and I hope that many people besides me were able to take something positive away from it. Thanks Thooorin!
Thorin you always say someone like Faker didn't have to exist and we should appreciate it. But I think someone like you also didn't have to exist and create all these good content for us so consistently.
Love your content man. I remember some of your stuff from 1.6. Any advice to someone who’s interested in many different things? On one hand, it seems like it might help one understand “the way” as you see it in all things, however, spreading oneself too thin obviously has its pitfalls. I guess my problem is that I’m obsessed with like 3 or 4 different things and there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.
loool massive ego comparing yourself to them. either way the term you are looking for is 'secondary source'. it's something that interprets/explains a primary source. like a tldr.
So, I used to be really into speedsolving cubes back when it was still pretty niche (
Wow, thanks alot for taking your time to share your story. Comments like these restore my faith in the youtube comment section.

This is glorious. Love this content.
This episode is absolute fire. I am looking forward to listen to this once more in a couple of months, when I stumble upon it again.
Great video. I loved all the cool concepts and insights. One of my favorite videos in a while.
That's some good content ! Those kind of videos are some of the most motivational videos I have found. I love the way you see the world.
I really enjoy your "general" topics. They tend to be a bit longer in duration and the deep dive is dope on something not CSGO or LOL
Really enjoy hearing about the more general topics. This is one of those gems that will fly under the radar for most.
This video is more useful than most of high school for most people
spiritual enlightenment thorin is best thorin
