    Idk about the s10 but the 80-96 ford's summit racing is manufacturing new visors like this. Hated looking at prices people are gouging for the old lund visors. So glad Summitt has decided it was time to bring them back.

    To each their own on this visor. This was part of an era of customization I really didn't like living through, really reminds me of the overdone conversion vans of that era.

    My interest in this project was non existent but I warmed up to it with each episode, and now I think it's probably one of the coolest projects you've had yet!

    Thanks for the video on the Lunar Visor, I had an 86 Suburban for many many years and had always wanted to install a Lunar Visor... just recently got an 87 S10 Base Model *No AC* pickup truck that I'm restoring with my 3 young sons... hopefully I can get my hands on a Lunar Visor for it, then will be watching this video again. Thanks!

    Gonna do the same headlights as the Jimmy? I might suggest an LED conversion on the taillights and interior if you ever get to that point. Otherwise good progress so far!

    I personally never liked the visors on s10s, but being that this is a resto mod that tons of people have done, that being said I can really appreciate the idea of you doing things different from the regular cookies cutter s10 build, on the bright side most of the resto mods other guys do, aren’t to this level of detail or quality

    Unless you like redoing wiring I would strongly advise against using that red crimp connector, they will end up causing issues in the future.

      Well that’s not what came in the kit...I suppose it can be redone that way later. I installed it as it was originally intended.

    My younger cousin has a 1991 s10 that his mom is giving him to drive and he’s painting it primer gray he also wants to put bucket seats in with a sub between the two seats, it’s a regular cab 2.8 5 speed and it definitely is a fun truck and has taken a lot of abuse from him, hopefully he takes better care of it once it’s done with the paint.

    I used to have an A.R.E. bed cover on my pickup truck before I sold the truck. Make sure you don't stand on it, it doesn't sound good lol. Mine also had the clearcoat peeling...

    Looks awesome, My biggest concern would be rusting from the drilled areas, eventually causing a leak too im sure. how has yours held up? is there anything that can be done to prevent that ?

    Growing up, the most common car back home was the Hindustan Ambassador, and that one had the sun visor in the front, and usually, the sun visor was something that signified elegance. I really love the moon visor and must admit, that's super tasteful, and perfectly in line with the hood, that makes the hood look very muscular.
    Love this! Will you be keeping this truck, Kyle?

    I can’t find this instructions anywhere online, is there any resource to look at them? I have one for my fist Gen Dakota, and I want to make sure that my numbers are accurate, especially when I have to drill into the cab.

    Personally I've never liked those quick splices, machine I'm working on I've gotten rid of them all and replaced them with butt connectors covered in heat shrink (granted its questionable how much better those are really).
    I also feel like that S-10 needs the smoothie rear bumper on it.

      I will be doing a blazer bumper at some point and probably soldering that wire connection, but I wanted to film and install the visor as it was intended since it was a NOS part 👍🏻

    You should do the spring loaded hinges that came on older cars, they'll go a lot better with the sbc

    My 91 s10 blazer my stepdad gave me in high school had the moon visor on it. I always said if I get another, it has to have one. I down know how it was wired, but the dimmer switch for the interior lights would dim it, and it would *kinda* blink with the hazards.

    You should move the tailgate handle to the inside of the tailgate and smooth over the hole left on the outside.

    Looks great! Maybe should have used a rubber grommet to pass through the wires on the top though so the wires avoid rubbing on metal. Loving the old school look!

    I know the duct tape is kind of funny as a gag but I would never actually use it for any mock-up. Even if it's only stuck on the truck for a short time, it will leave nasty, hard to remove residue on the paint. I assume you are painting the whole truck?! lol You still don't need the added headache of duct tape goo removal. Blue painters tape is definitely the way to go for a mock up like this. Love the project, keep up the good work!

      Thank you! It wasn’t a funny gag lol, I knew it would hold the visor in place and I didn’t care about the residue since the paint is trash already haha. I was afraid the painters tape wouldn’t be strong enough, I appreciate the insight!!

    you can even rent cars off of turo to do reviews on besides getting press cars, which is so cheaper than regular rental car places, and instead of going to get the car they give you the option of getting the car deliver straight to you and you can reserve a car in any city any time you want
