I have a 2012 Colorado with a 2.9L I4 2wd regular cab and I love it because it’s so basic manual windows and locks and it’s ok on gas when in the city and it’s great on gas when on the highway. My truck just clicked over to 55,000 miles and I bought it with 43,000 miles
@@LaytonEstates I got the MBRP catback exhaust. Makes my truck sound like an old farm-tractor. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting the 2022 Colorado with the diesel. Hmmmm.
Would you consider this truck to work well for the family? I'm looking towards starting my family and don't know whether the indoor space is going to offer enough space for a rear-facing child seat
Got 307 579 miles on it. Standard cab, 4X4 3,7 5 cylinders GM/Isuzu engine only thing I replaced was a muffler, timing belt and I installed offroad shock absorbers still going valves are little bit warn I fix home appliances for a living.
I bought a 2016 4x4 Chevy Colorado with everything on it based on Consumer Report rating over Toyota Tacoma. I previously owned 3 Tacoma’s and loved them. 3,000 miles into it and I started having transmission problems. It was a 6 speed automatic and between 30 and 40 mph it was lugging down. Took it to dealer and they reprogrammed the computer. 500 more miles and it was doing it again. Went on line and thousands of Chevy Colorado owners were saying the same thing. Chevy had the computer programming set to save gas at those speeds. Long story short... I TRADED it in for a Toyota!
@@reedcarpenter2994 definitely get a true 4 door then, even as a kid the back seats sucked and were super uncomfortable. Pretty sure they made a crew cab
That's basically what I did. Would recommend actually wrapping it if you have the money, I just plasti dipped the chrome and it was fine but sometimes I had to do touch ups.
I think his phone is located close to the a/c vent making it sound that loud because I own the same truck and it sounds similar but is not really that loud but it blows fast and cabin gets cool very quick...
Excellent review.....thinking of getting one myself for when I do landscaping....whats going on with the wind though, did you have a janky window or something?!
I think it was the GoPro picking up the road noise from being setup in the windshield. The Colorado is just like any other truck around that age for noise, not bad!
@@jarodzillinger4731 you got a steal! I’ve been looking on fb market for a crewcab 4x4 colorado and it seems that every one of them is so overpriced. And the ones that aren’t have high miles or something wrong with them. How are you liking the Tacoma? Been considering getting a newer one too.
i just got my first truck, an 08 Colorado, for christmas from my parents, and i couldn’t be more happy, and so far i love it so much
Glad to hear it! It'll treat you well!
do u still like it?

Dang that truck is still brand new!
Thanks for the video brotha, looking into getting myself a Colorado.
Loved that truck, wish I still had it! It was so fun and easy to drive!
So pretty much the only problems that he personally had with it were ones that he made which were mistakes in choosing options while buying it
The on issue I did have was the thermostat being stuck open or close, that job was a pain.
I have a 2011 with the 5-cylinder engine. I love that engine!!
great engines!

I want a extended cab so I don’t have to drive people around. My dad had the 5 cylinder and 4x4. I loved that truck! Very very peppy.
Haha that is true! Not too many people want to ride in the fold down seats in the back.

No

When I sold it the guy said a year later the tranny went out, around 220K miles.
You had the newer body style that’s why. These had 4 speeds.
my dad used to have one of these when i was a kid, i hated that back seat with a passion
Yeah, try sticking a full size adult back there. They will hate you the entire time they're riding haha
I’m looking at buying one of these and that’s what concerns me. The room for kids

I think I might put a black wrap on my truck when I get one. If it’s not already black & black out all the crome.

I think it was the Gopros audio. The truck is what you would expect, not bad at all!
It sounds like you put the microphone in the wheel well.
@@hawkermustang Yeah it actually took me some time to reroute the mic into the wheel well. Glad you can tell
I may have missed - how many miles do you have on the truck

Does the ac have trouble at ideal for long periods of time in hot summer days?
I didn't have any issues with that. My a.c. was always very cold and cooled down quick!
2.9L 4cyl?
Nevermind I just heard you say 5 cyl
Can't hear you to much road noise
Is this the 4cly or 5 cly?
