Wow, Paulie, now I cannot decide where I want to settle yet! After seeing & hearing the great stories and viewpoints of Danny, Rick and that "Finger Guy" (joke lang)!! I just might have to spend more than a week there to get the feel of the Duma community. I have seen the other vloggers coming to Dumaguete to me you, Mark T. & Justin, but they all seem to just come & go for a few days without looking into the relationship dynamics of the Expat community living there. I truly regret that we have not spent as much time getting to know each other over the past 3 years, but touching on Rick's comments about feeling alone... In the late 90's when I married my 2nd wife (the baliw Russian girl), I bought a new home in a new development. For the 8 years I lived there, I only met 5 of my neighbors and NONE OF THEM were very sociable. I remember as a kid in the 60's & 70's visiting my relatives in Kentucky & North Carolina how neighbors would sit on the porch and have conversations across the street from each other. Things are so divisive in the U.S. that neighbors seem to be afraid to meet other people. Even now, I look outside in this townhouse community and I see no neighbors outside socializing. I look forward to making my way down to Duma. Thanks again, for all the great content & sage advice, Paul. Thanks also to Rick, Danny & Goldfinger for sharing their stories, perspectives and thoughts on Dumaguete City.
I didn't change...this generation changed...I don't even bother getting to know new neighbors... would wave and try to have a conversation and they looked miserable to see me...just run in the house... I don't even acknowledge them anymore.

And I think, finally, it makes me happy to see other men my age discovered what I discovered and - even though I don't live there and won't be visiting ever again - I'm happy you guys found your happiness too - because I am very happy. And it feels good to know I'm not alone. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU. Thanks for a wonderful interview. I wish ALL OF YOU wonderful years ahead. With your attitude I'm sure you will enjoy them. JOE
I’m so curious what happened?
Made a small donation to your paypal! Thank you for your videos! We are from Canada and We have tickets to come in October to Dumaguete! We are planning to retire there. You seem like you are a humble kind person. Thank you. Dennis and Janna
Great video once again Paul… Tons of respect for Goldfinger and what he does over there… The helmets. Not too familiar with the other two but glad they love it over there. But yes you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Carnivore diet or time restricted eating and maybe these gentlemen can Live strong and long life in Paradise.
these guys are the reason why i subbed because they are possibly the best group that got interviewed... they are not here to find girls to become their toys.. instead they found a true partner for life. some guys are just salty i think ...
Hi @drincastronero5296 Thanks for your kind words! We're humbled by your support.
Can you picture any of these guys with a tiny filipina gal? I am trying hard not to! Haha
Ouch, stop diverting thoughts. Leave that to your imagination and keep it.
@@Sana_Balik_Pinas I think I may need some serious therapy. Yikes!
And they said what you see here is AFTER losing weight from all the island cooking. Wow, oh and riding around on mopeds.
Hi @daviddixon9207 Not my concern, but I appreciate your perspective!
2 questions it would be great to ask you and the other guys in another interview:
1. Health care and how they go about it, along with the quality, and recommendations.
2. Have they bothered learning the local language/dialect there and do they think it might be worthwhile to do.
Thank You Paul and guys for a great chat - video. Sharing your own outlook in life, what you have exsperienced along with providing lots of other great info for individuals like minded who know Networking is the BEST - sharing is Learning. Have a great day!
Hi @CanadaPhilippinesAdventures Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the chat and found it informative.
I’m a new subscriber. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you very much for the time to bring folks knowledge of being a responsible expat in the Philippines. Keep up the great work! Guyz are cool. You’re definitely gonna have more fun in the Philippines.
I wish and pray I’ll be retired like you all soon and living it up in paradise.
There is no secret anymore. People here in the US are not happy like they use to be. Folks are always angry here for whatever reason. I am jealous of you guys. Take care y’all
Thanks 👌
I always enjoy conversations with these guys. They tell it like it is and demonstrate how life can be improved. Great Video.
OMG i think those guys are taking heavy risk. When i see their body shape, and knowing that in the Philipinnes sugar in foods, fries foods and heath care are Issues.... I think that Diabet and heart attack are at the next street corner.
Exactly, not to mention the nightmare health care that Paul himself made a video about just weeks ago.
No one at all, can say these three guys are leading a healthy lifestyle.
Hi @christozen6305 We understand concerns about health risks, but many expats here prioritize lifestyle over medical risks. It's a personal choice.
I lost a cousin who was their size, she was only in her early 50s when she passed. Had obesity-related diabetes which led to needing both her legs being amputated. Complications from that led to early death. These guys seem like pleasant blokes. I hope they don't end up like my cousin.
Life is what you make it. Three guys in Dumaguete are happy with life.
Once again, Bunch of fine fella's. Glad you all found a great place to live. I met my filipina woman online when she was working in Hong Kong. I am 51 and she is 53. Love her to death, but haven't been with her in person yet. She lives in Lal-lo in Cagayan Valley in Northern Philippines. I have been with her for almost 5 yrs already and she still awaits me. LOL. I still have to get through the last couple years of my business before I am able to get there. We thought about bringing her back here to USA, but not sure yet. :) I like these guys in your video. There are too many disrespectful people commenting on this video. You people making these bad comments, watch out for your future. Karma is a b*tch.
I hope all these guys can lose weight and get healthy like youve done Paul!
Always a fun video when goldfinher is around 😂
This video really helped me! I’ve been thinking a lot about the Philippines! Please do more videos like this! It helps me with the process of coming over! Jim from Minnesota😎
Some of the West's finest figures.
Thanks for sharing guys 👍
There’s a happy place for everyone somewhere if you’re willing to take the time to find it no matter the circumstances
Hi @grumpydudebryant Thanks for your kind words! We're glad you're considering spending more time in Dumaguete and getting to know our community.
I have been 20-30 pounds overweight. But this is just not right if they really want to enjoy their lives.
The 'don't talk about their weight' posters remind me of Cheech talking about his cousin Strawberry to Chong in "Up in Smoke": "Don't stare at his birthmark"...Chong meets him & half his face is a birthmark. 🤣
UFDA... geez.... poor girls I hope they hit a large pay day.
Hi @mcalleyboy5820 Thanks for watching and sharing our story!
i see the food is good in Dumaguete
Thanks Paul for the interview with the Three Stooges.. lol 😂. They have so many good pionts and opinions .Just another great video my friend ❤
Hi @herbwitt7710 Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank your for informing fellas. Live well and be happy 😊
Paul , you need to have a pic with these gentlemen, you would look like Twiggy next to them !!
Love this!! Awesome hearing there story's. Then hearing how you helping some these guys have better future.
I hope when I get in my retirement age I come meet some you guys when im there full time!!
I really like the concluding messages. 🙂
I'll be in town from January 30th 2024 until February 5th 2024.. I would LOVE to have lunch or coffee with you guys... I'm not an expat YET. Waiting for my kids to stabilize in their adult lives...
I might have to move to Dumagete alot of good foreigners
OMG these guys have to change to a healthier lifestyle.
No doubt these guys live the life of leisure. But a bit of exercise would probably do them well.
Hi @itchymoche Appreciate your concern, we try to stay active despite the laid-back lifestyle!
Screw all the haters in the comment section, Paul, that's a really good crew you interviewed right there. Would love to see the 3 of them together more times in the future.
Hi @whatever_it_takes6691 Thanks for the support! We're glad you enjoyed the video.
Goldfinger feels skinny in this line up.
Haha, Goldfinger definitely looks different in this lineup! What do you think of the change?
@@paulinthephilippinesolddog9234 honestly he’s so much happier and more relaxed, just as you have become over the years. Your other guests are all on the right road too. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. As I sit here in -15° Chicago, I’m sure you’ve all made great decisions.
Filipinas must be lining up to get one of these studs.
They all have young girlfriends.
@@tombkk1322 Desperate without morals girlfriends
@@suzzieq1914
The fact is, both sides are absolutely desperate.
Grounded, logical & independent working Filipinas say & non of them would date a foreigner more than double their age, or/& not healthy.
They also say when they see such couples, they think 'desperate'
This is the facts, that no foreigner with a very young Filipina wants to know...or is in denial about.
Hi @rayjuneau1120 Appreciate your enthusiasm, thanks for watching!
What a cool bunch of guys
Paul its really hard to hear you on this video
Good discussion of what works in Duma....
The 3 potatoes. Next to these guys I'm James Bond.
Maybe they'll eat better foods. Seem friendly enough, though. Paul, get them on your system, quick.
There in superb shape,
Wouldn't think that will be there to much longer.😂
Hi @mattbraban8637 Glad we're loving life here!
Mama mia! Tummies galore!
Hi @genevievedioneda3258 Thanks for enjoying our foodie adventures!
There goes the neighborhood 😂
Hi @brent2438 Fair point! I get it. Thanks for watching!
speechless
Those guts are photoshopped by Jenny Craig to promote their products 🤣
I am from Dumaguete and watching these guys makes me question why I am here in Canada stressed out when I do actually have a home where I can live slowly and simply and being close to family and friends. Duma will always be home and where I will retire someday. Cheers for this lovely interview!
Hi @poyotski Thanks, glad we could make you feel nostalgic for Dumaguete!
@@paulinthephilippinesolddog9234 absolutely! One day I will be an expat of my own hometown haha! Cheers to you and your channel!
Happy for you guys! Goldfinger you make me laugh, like your honesty about the women. Im the same way, no point in being in denial, the ladies are great.
my first trip to the Philippines is when I observe roosters in the morning from my hotel room and I said to myself I have found a home.
I'm Flying salute sir . God blessed
Hi @mariawatin1062 Thank you, sir!
If you have to learn one thing from this video, it is that famine does not exist in the Philippines.
Hi @ellvtv2314 Thank you for watching! Indeed, food security is a major advantage here.
Hey Paul nice interview of these three guys and I have never been to Dumaguete but I did live in Dalaguete the very southern tip of Cebu for one year back in 1990. I was the one and only foreigner and I am a retired US Army Veteran that has now lived in the Philippines over 32 years and one day I might pay a visit to your area, thanks for your videos
Hi @wildbill7081 Thanks for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoy our vids and hope you can make it to Dumaguete someday.
What are those red stamps on the guys hands from? Nightclubs?
Where we are stamp when you pay to get in to forest camp
