    I remember most if not all of these transport companys from my time on the road.the Mitsubishi trucks were under powered but sounded great.pity none survived.the Galway transport Mack I has survived.i saw it a few years ago at a show.great pictures great times......

    Those old Mitsubishi 6x2 Twin Steer artics sounded great with their V8 engines but I think they only put out about 250 bhp.
    None of these lorries had an easy time. Those Scania 113s and 143s, Volvo F12s and Leyland Daf 95s were all pushed to the limit off power and weight day in day out. Proper working wagons.
    Those Murphy International Ford Transcontinentals were still pounding the motorways in 1988/89 , great trucks.
