worked on h g v from 1970 to 1990 then drove class 1 for same company till 2005 ,35 years in total . great days ,boom time . shell mex and b p then bp .

Unfortunately it's sad with the death of the British truck builders! Was this due to manufacturers not moving with the times or death by stealth by European competitors taking over brands and then stopping the progress and development and then putting our brands in to liquidation? Many, Many companies where loyal till the end.

Good to see J R Harding Transport. Would often see their Leyland Marathons and fridge boxes on the M5. They used to fly by me in my very tired Ford D Series. They were probably doing around 70 MPH……
