Don't pry the control panel up from the rear. It breaks the clip that holds it down. Note at 36 seconds into the video the white/broken mount point for the tab that used to be there. He probably heard the piece fall down inside the door the first time he popped it up. Proper way to remove is to pry from the front side. Once the front side is loose, slide the unit forward and then lift it out. I was able to glue the piece back on with CA glue.
