Great, clear explanation, thank you. One nit: the three black clips on the bottom are bumper retainers and don't need to be removed. The fasteners for the grille are the 2 10mm bolts, the two black clips on the top at each end, and the three white clips along the bottom.
Thank you clear and simple. Well done job.
I followed your directions to remove the grille on my 2007 FJ. Great instructions, other than the part where you removed the 3 black push clips (not the white ones) from where the bottom of the grille is located. The two push clips on the top of the grille definitely have to be removed, but the 3 bottom clips have nothing to do with the grille at all. They don't even touch it. The bummer is, because I was led to believe that I needed to remove them, I did, and they fell apart in the process. So I suppose they'd have failed eventually, and I would've needed to replace them. Instead I get to replace them now. Can you tell me what the part number is so I can replace them? There are a billion parts out there that look like it.
Nice job Man. Way to explain & show it step by step

cool video could you tell me if the letters on the grill that say toyota are removal?
Thanks man.
What if I dont have the prying tool that you used for the white clips?
What options do I have?
A flat head screwdriver will work just fine.
If you need to ask this you should probably just pay Toyota an hour of labor.
