  • H.O. scale Ken Kidder Birney completely rebuilt as San Diego Electric Railway #301complete with passengers. Headlights, taillights, destination signs, and route signs all light up. Contains a M1 dcc decoder. And finally a BullAnt mechanism from Hollywood Foundry. A little noisy, Hollywood Foundry now makes the drive with a belt drive, so they are a lot quieter now. See how I built this car at: dan-d-sparks.bl...

The video is nice but the background conversation was too loud and a distraction.

I will have to admit that thing runs noisy did you remoter it?

Yeah it does. Hollywood Foundry has some motors made especially for the Birney. The plan is to remotor this car with one.

I have two HO scale Ken Kidder Burney's just like the one in this video. Both still have their original motors. Some day I will need a new motor for each Birney car. But, I see Hollywood Foundry has closed it's doors. I have no idea who I will need to go to when the time comes to replace their motors. Any suggestions?
