That was way more effort than they deserved lol between the editing, the traveling, the ability to be so easily entertaining during the whole thing while being prerecorded while most people can’t do that, that was insane.
I'll be honest. As a woman in a corporate, I absolutely do the bare minimum, I use the fact people underestimate me because I'm a woman, and an introvert, and I deliberately hide my actual talents, skills and abilities, so they won't take advantage and make me do more work. I've been doing this for 10 years so far and it's going well for me, I have money, free time, less stress and I don't sweat anytime I need to take a few days off to spend more quality time with my kid. ❤️ Don't hustle, girls, take it easy and enjoy your lives ❤️
This happened to me in my last job. I found out that the new guy that joined my department, was doing less than me, but earning more! When I asked for a raise I got the budget excuse. I got pissed and gave my 2 weeks then and there. Happier at my current job. Misogyny is real in the workplace.
This happens in general, not to minimize your feelings but it happened to my BF too. He was working construction and everyone made 14.50 except the new guy. He had lied and said he had a bunch of experience that he didn't have, and once the foremen realized he had lied for the job AND needed training, he ended up with the worst jobs every time lol
As a female, I had to face adversity in the workplace, too. Not all companies are as bad. But from what I have learned - if they are not giving you credit, start to network out of there. If their attitudes don't change with the threat of losing you, you will always be fighting for the credit you deserve. Not being physically present can hurt. Nepotism is real. Her story is similar to my experience. Sometimes leaving is the best option.
same. Even dudes who are generally nice and kind people still tend to view me as lesser than my male counterparts, despite the fact i work harder than them
I just want to say that it is the addition of the personal content as well as the banter between you guys that makes this channel a stand out in the reddit reading content. Just love it. By allowing us into your personal stories, it makes us feel like we are becoming part of the OKOP family. Love from Australia.
The corporate story about men getting more opportunities was so relatable. I worked at my previous job for 11 years. When I was five years in we relocated and I applied for a promotion and was denied it because they felt like they didn't know how I would work under pressure. Then realized the guy they hired who had ZERO experience in the field would need help so they promoted me. He sucked, he was pretty much a racist and belittled the experience of anyone because he didn't get treated like crap by our racist clients. He fought you on everything. So I would try and make opportunities and created a role I wanted to take on because there was a need for it. This led to me getting special opportunities because I was good at my job. He got jealous so my director told me I couldn't do something since it upset him because he wasn't getting the same chances. It was ridiculous. Eventually I applied to a different department and got it. More money, education and better tittle. This person turned out to be a psycho. Verbal harassment, religious harassment, gender, race, and health discrimination. My mental health took a nose dive. My therapist MADE me take leave for 12 weeks. Then they told me I was not welcome back. So I used all my sick and vacation time and they fired me. Worst work experience of my life.
This happens to women all the time, and it’s definitely misogynistic, although men are not aware of it. They’d rather golf or go to happy hour with their male friends. They expect late nights when women have children to care for. That boss is horrible and backwards and should be sent to retraining or fired.
It’s not always misogyny, maybe the boss is giving another co- worker an opportunity to step up . As a manager, I’ve made decisions like this and it was strictly to going another employee a change to grow and learn.
@user-bz9mz5ft6z OP is clear that the employee given the account did the bare minimum and she was constantly doing his work. If you promoted those people over employees actually doing a fantastic job-- employees who you gave awards to and whose ideas you presented to the company-- then you are an awful manager. Especially if you told said good employee that the opportunity was theirs but then gave it to someone else.
Riley is my fave! My OKOP storytime: At my last job a male coworker with the same title as me would unplug computers and take the power cords so I couldn't use them, disable keyboards so I couldn't log in, and at one point BROKE INTO a locked cabinet that I had my purse in. He was told to leave me alone and then would not even speak to me or acknowledge me. He would also show up to work HOURS early to drive brand new cars at 50+ mph in a 15 mph zone. At one point our manager and our managers manager had a meeting with all of us and he had a mental break and said I was "ruining his character" by saying he broke into a cabinet and said "anyone would have done it"... absolutely not. He would go to coworkers and tell them that other people were talking crap about them for no reason. Now that I've left that job it has been found out that he has been going to another dealership before hours when one of the foremen is there and using his credentials to joyride in 100k+ cars.. and somehow he got employee of the year and hasn't been fired.
"he got employee of the year and hasn't been fired" WAIT WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!??!?!?!??! Good for you, you left that toxic place. Why would someone in the right mind keep and enable that kind of people!!!! he is someone or knows someone or knows something, i don't see any other reason on why he would be there and why was he so obsessed on sabotaging you??? such a small pp energy there
The misogyny story was so triggering. Sam was saying it's not misogyny, it's schmoozing. But this IS misogyny and discrimination. I suffered discrimination like the other mothers in my dept after years of 80 hour weeks and 2 national awards. 3 of us left. They begged us to stay and to come back but when the trust is broken. I took years off and struggled to get back into work. I see my female friends' success and wonder if I would be better off without my experience. But it is what it is.
I mean, let's imagine if OP were the less experienced worker that got picked over her supervisor. It gets revealed that the reason she was offered the job was because her and the boss hang out privately and she mentioned she was excited about traveling. Then they're having hushed conversations when it gets out. I can only imagine how her reputation would be torn apart and the accusations she would get about "sleeping her way to the top" even though that's this exact situation. Being good with people does help but I don't think if she played the social games the same way her coworker did, that she would reap the same benefits and that's what's biased about it
I work in corporate and I have for the past 10 years. I had to quit my last company after 4 years because I was being BULLIED for the last year due to a new manager. I ended up quitting with nothing lined up because I felt like I was close to unaliving myself. I took a break, had a baby, and went back after over two years, thanks to my husband being able to support us. I love my company now and I’m in the same role as before but my department is so chill and understanding. I think having a competent manager is important. She’s been focused and determined to help reverse my anxiety and panic attacks when it comes to work due to my previous company’s abuse.
I understand OP in corporate. I have ADHD too and find myself giving my all to a company that doesn't give a fuck but stress me within inches of my life. But luckily for me I can afford to quit and be jobless for a month or 2. So I quit this January. I refused to carry that baggage into 2024.
Same. I tried so hard for a company that couldn't care less. I had 2 miscarriages while working there. I put in my notice and got pregnant again and now he's 5. I do not miss that job
keep documents. One thing i have learned it is to keep documents of everything and if he is texting you with statements that he can not do tasks that are part of his job....screenshot and keep them with your documents.
when you guys were talking about interviews you made me think of the worst interview I've done. Basically I was applying to an engineering position and also to note I am female. There was so many red flags: - The company didn't have a reception area so I was basically forced to stand outside in the middle of winter. No one told me that I had to buzz or what to do and even after buzzing in I still had to wait out in the cold. - The interviewer had to be called back to the place cause they went out on Lunch even though when they called me for the interview a couple of days before they told me I can schedule whenever. - The interviewer has never seen my CV before and had to look over one of the spares I brought with me. - The guy was surprised that I never worked at a McDonalds before or any fast food restaurant. - They told me they were looking for another position that would work along side me. He kept saying they were looking for a guy but quickly fixed it saying 'though a women could probably do it' and this repeat several times. They never called me back but if they did I would say no.
I think I got incredibly lucky with my "corporate" job. I bartend in the airport and it's corporate in that it's a huge company that we all work for, but it's still working in a bar and restaurant. You would think both of those combined could become the most toxic work environment. You would be right if we hadn't unionized 9 years ago. So we're all protected and we have benefits, insurance, set schedules, and only work 4 days a week as restaurant workers. It's actually pretty great.
He doesn’t want to fire OP he wanted to fire the copywriter. He gave her that nice account to butter her up to be on his team when calling the copywriter incompetent. He sacrificed your comfort to create an environment hostile enough to get the copywriter fired. He underestimated how much stress he was causing and thought you’d put up with the fuckery without needing a break. Source: this happened to me with a coworker so horrible that I tried to demote my self. 3 weeks after I attempted to demote myself the coworker was gone because the company knew I finally had enough and I was the one leading the sales numbers.
I used to work in an large Architectural firm as a graduate architect. That corporate story... Sounded exactly like my experience there. I burnt the candle at both ends, and was so sick by the end. I also have ADHD and ASD, but I also have a genetic disorder, EDS, which was progressing at the time. Working at that place definitely progressed my illness way faster than if I wasn't working. I now live off of a disability pension and can't think of anything worse than going back to that job. It destroyed me. I was on call 24/7 basically, doing unpaid overtime every night and on the weekends, for entry level pay, coming home to my abusive bf at the time. They really do destroy your spirit. I'm so thankful I've had the chance to rest and find myself, leave my relationship, get proper medical help, etc. I'm so much happier now.
*_AN ENTIRE EPISODE OF THESE GOOFBALLS WITH SOCK PUPPETS_* Actually, everyone gets a sock for this specific sock puppet episode, Sophia, Sam, John, Carrie, *BIG PROTEIN.* I need all 4 sock puppets lol
I work in a hospital laboratory and my story mirrors that woman’s so much it’s crazy. It’s not sexism that’s causing my work stress, my boss just hates me and micromanages me to death. I’ve been there just shy of 16 years and she’s been there 3. I had to take 6 weeks off for mental health leave. My boss’s response to getting the email about my FMLA was “you better hope nothing happens to that machine while you’re gone”. Thanks for the vague threat and concern for my wellbeing. My counselor told me just 2 days into my leave that I looked like a completely different person. My dr commented on how much more relaxed I looked and even my friends mentioned the difference in me. I only went back at 6 weeks because I have a deadbeat baby daddy too. My ex stopped helping with our twins last year so I am paying for everything and their insurance alone. I couldn’t afford to take anymore time off, but I started having panic attacks just thinking about going back to work despite all of the medications they put me on during my time off and the extra counseling sessions. I still can’t find a job anywhere within an hr that isn’t a $5+ /hr pay cut to go to or I would have already left that place by now.
I work in an office job, but I sell life insurance over the phone. This job is honestly the best one I have ever had. Best coworkers/bosses I could have asked for.
I was literally cornered by one of those charity workers at a train station. He had me trapped against a fence and would not let me go until I signed up to donate, which I promptly cancelled that night. Glad Sam got away from that.
As a woman in a corporation that it’s very difficult to climb the ladder in, if I was treated like this, I would have went straight to HR. Accounts and advancements are not something to be withheld and an argument and retaliation like her managers would have gotten him the pink slip and her the account she was originally owed. Sitting there and taking the beating rather than filing a complaint with HR is the WORST thing she could do.
I am a former corporate employee and management. The stories I could tell (would)…lol I worked in Casino Management for over 20 years and now work in higher Ed. Love you guys!!
FYI Trauma Bonding is not when two people bond over having similar trauma! It’s when one person causes trauma for their victim to make the victim grow closer to them. Like, if an abusive boyfriend causes drama with his girlfriend’s group of friends so she’ll lose all her friends, and therefore, only rely on him. Commenting on this episode since it’s been used wrong in a lot of episodes ❤ love you guys!!
@@MizutamariVT A Trauma Bond is defined as “A trauma bond usually involves a victim and a perpetrator in a unidirectional relationship wherein the victim forms an emotional bond with the perpetrator. This can also be conceptualized as a dominated-dominator or an abused-abuser dynamic. Two main factors involved in the establishment of a trauma bond are: a power imbalance and intermittent reinforcement of good and bad treatment, or reward and punishment.”
@@MizutamariVT and its clear you just made up a definition from the top of your head.Go look it up or you could keep doing what you are doing and stay ignorant
This episode made me look back on my jobs, and I realized that I was never truly in a "corporate" setting. My first job was as an elevator operator, not kidding at all. Feel free to ask any questions about that because that was wild. Next, I was a filing clerk in a small law office. That was the closest I got to corporate, but I didn't have my own desk, and I was up and about a lot. My most recent job was a lab technician in a cancer hospital, which was both my favorite job and the busiest, most stressful job.
Yeah so... I'm gonna make some sock puppets. 😂 Worked a corporate job and hated it so much. Also... omfg you two are so cute. YES to the reddit. Do itttt
I had two full time management positions. One district. One in finance. I worked 100 hours a week. One day, i handed in my notice to both, took my severance and spent the next year traveling and writing for a magazine
I had 2 projects in a row which drained me completely and i took a month long sick leave since was also diagnosed with AuDHD at the same time... my bf living in another country and my projects in another one than my work, made me juggle between 4 countries where my cost would be covered only if i travelled from the city of my office. Trying to get pregnant for 2 years without success was also not helping to the overall situation. I guess the break helped cause i am currently pregnant without any medical help. Slowly learning to set boundaries and say no to requests.
Both I went through something similar when I worked for a retail/grocery store in the deli department. For years I worked hard and even with five other co-workers at any one time I worked circles around them. They even had me as a trainer (without trainer pay) so I was hoping that I would make manager someday. We had a male coworker who was more interested in making out with other employees (I caught him multiple times) even though he had a pregnant girlfriend. He did absolutely the least amount of work, spread rumors about employees (myself included) and kissed the butt of every manager while taking credit for things I had done. He was a manager within a year of employment and we ended up getting a new manager within the same year that made working at that store so unbearable that I just ended up quiting.
@csipes2524 someone else's... I got wrongfully terminated and they took forever to fix it. When I came back, HR told me I shouldn't be openly gay and they moved me away from my partner. I got the HR to quit but not how you think lol... I just schemed and came between her and her bestie (the facility manager) and caused a huge rift. She ended up quitting and thinking we were friends lol
I've had more experiences like this in small, privately owned companies than in corporations. But I also am not generally considered a woman in most workplaces so maybe that's part of it?
I just wanna jump in the Riley appreciation train for a hot second. THIS DUDE! How can you be so adorable and so manly at the same time! I.WANT.MORE.RILEY! XD
I actually adhd, though im not going through the same exact problems as that lady. The job i work is where i have to be partnered with someone and last year i had the issue of having a partner who imo did the minimum and it did stress me out. I had also lost someone not long ago around that time so not only did i have the issues of still trying to manage since i dont take meds anymore but my emotions were scattered. What i did was took the opportunity to move to a different partner who not only did meet me in the middle but helps me when im having a hard time with my adhd.
This is so common and completely ignorant. My boss is completely inept and we keep thinking “time will tell”… but it’s been a year and a half and corporate is still clueless as to how much work we do FOR him. He’s the worst.
When you are a server or bartender in this country, you basically get paid $2.80 an hour (before tax) to run the owner’s establishment for them. You prep, clean, serve, etc, all for the PRIVILEGE of getting to serve the customer… simply in the hope of POSSIBLY getting a tip. Pretty crazy. What’s crazier is how many restaurant/bar owners have NEVER even worked in the restaurant industry before deciding to open a place of their own.
I worked with a manager who literally got to where he is by being weaponised incompetent. He did the bare min, departments hated him, but he walked the fine line of breaking rules or being just unable to fire him. Then he applied for jobs slightly higher in other departments. His current dept gave him glowing reviews and hoped they'd take him off their hands. It kept working. He got to management that way, when I left they were in deep regret & hoping another company would tempt him. He also make himself look better by making others look bad. He got one colleague yelled at by breaking the bosses mug in front of her then walking out. He passed the boss and was all "hey is your mug the shark week one? Ohhh damn... looks like X broke it, she was just picking up the pieces in the kitchen" When X claimed innocence she was told "but why would he do that?" He took one of the very nice pens from the boss and left it on someone else's desk, knowing the boss was going there for a meeting. After losing both my parents in two consecutive years I had a nervous breakdown... When I got back he joked about my "nerves" and talked to me baby voice saying "ooohhh is it to hawf for your pickle newves?" But he only targeted women, cos the male bosses never took a woman's word over that of another guy. I honestly don't think they realised they were being misogynists, it's just unconsciously in them to think a guy is more honest. My registration was like a book, I listed EVERYTHING he'd done to me and colleagues, but only incidents I'd witnessed. I advised they ask all the women in private what he'd done to them. I then copied my resignation to the CEO, Chairman, entire board, his direct boss, HR and every woman in the building. Did I go nuclear? Probably. Do I regret it?? Ohhhh HELL NO! Nor do I feel guilty about leaving his arse stranded when I saw him broken down at the side of the road. I saw it was him & pulled over, he looked shocked it was me and was suuuuuper nice. Mentioned his car crapped out and his phone was flat, could I lend him my phone... Hand already outreached cos obviously I was going to say yes... Stupid f*cker... It was a really bad night, super cold & pissing it down with wicked rain. I just replied (in a baby voice) "ohhh I'm sowwy, my phone is only for grown ups, likkle boys like him can't use growed up stuff, he might hurted himself and we can't have that can we?" I drove off leaving him, I did stop at the service station down the rd and as usual a cop car was parked there. I only helped cos the conditions were bad & if he died his family would be hurt... He could spin in hell on a pitchfork without lube for all I cared, but even he had people who'd mourn.
I got myself in similar position being UNDIAGNOSED Audhd and an LMSW (clinical social worker) working for a predatory residential mental health facility in TN and several other states
I am 8 minutes in and this sounds like a classic case of doing such a good job they can’t find a good replacement for you (especially if you’re doing 3 jobs) if a promotion was given. OP is so good they’re afraid to move her.
It’s possible to have a federal job with way fewer of the social games OP was experiencing. I know multiple women who’ve been burnt out in corporate environments resulting in some of the same mental/physical symptoms but then go on to thrive in federal jobs.
I had way too much fun watching that application. P.S: Pretty sure that letter was just corporate speak for "What the hell, that video was dope as fuck, goddamn! Too bad we already hired that nerd with the recommendation. Shit. Really hope he finds another way into the company, I'll point him that way."
I got one office job before, they fired me cause I knew how to stand up for myself.. I then searched for remote jobs cause bosses are abusive when they see you face to face.. Search for a remote job
Corporate sexism is a documented thing, and it sucks how women who do a lot aren’t promoted or paid for the work they do compared to men. Especially if you’re a wife and mother, where corporations are known to explicitly offer you less pay and expect to give you the shaft.
One thing I saw and it may have been a podcast it could have been a tick tock I don't know lol. Was that after you have these kinds of conversations to make sure that the same day, the sooner the better, email them with a follow-up. So in this case she should have emailed hi thank you for the opportunity and giving me the choice between accounts a and b. Just to clarify you are giving me until next date when I return from my week off to make my decision on which account I would like to take over
I just spent 4 years working as a dj for a company and I quit this week. This girl came in about a year ago and decided she was my boss and while I was DJing a New Years Eve kids dance party she told my boss she was going to quit bc I did drive across town to get a light we didnt need because we used it last year. I tried everything to navigate working with this chick but some people just want to be in charge! She doesnt dj though so theyre out a dj and Ive started to make a name for myself and get requested for weddings so my bosses are stuck dealing with that but they refuse to acknowledge that this employee is a problem so I just have to leave. I cant deal with it its like tolerating a bully in hish school and its honestly killed my self esteem the last year or so. Anyways, you guys triggered me thus morning lol 😅
The accounts lady needs to threaten to quit if they dont give her the position, and she ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NEVER help this guy on another ccount, he needs to talk to his direct super and expose his points of weakness.
I had a really crappy boss during COVID and it impacted my performance/ mental health. I just asked for a demotion and a transfer to get out of that. Thats actually an ADA that can be accommodated.
Even if it is more of the social games it is still also misogyny because she stated that the reason she can't play the game is that she is a mom. Being a mother loses women all kinds of opportunities because of misogyny
I can relate to the corporate shift blame perfectly. First job I worked for that's basically all they did. Kind of makes me wonder if they do that to save themselves, or so they can dismiss it as a in a way self made loophole
OP should have gone to HR. I left my jobs without having another job available. I always plan for a 3 month break but I could live off my savings for at least 1-2 years. Never live above your means. I've been very lucky to get another job immediately. I usually ask to start the job a month late. Always leave your company on good terms no matter how crap it was for you working there. When I resign, they always ask me to stay but they've had their chance to make things better as I'm very vocal about what I want and need. Once I make up my mind to leave, I leave.
HR are the horror residents who are there to support the COMPANY not the HUMANS that are working for the company. IMO HR are the people who you don't want to have on an abrupt call as that means you are about to be gone. 2nd Story - I would walk out on the SPOT.
I just got screwed for promotion, i was burning to quit. A week of indeed searching told me that I'm handcuffed to my job because of salary. Have to bite my tongue and suck it up. my manager was scared to tell me, wasnt her call.
This happened to me right after I had my first baby. I stopped getting promotions and bonuses. This is the true Glass ceiling for women. I didn't because I couldn't go to all the after work activities. I was asked "why can't your Husband take care of the baby?" Well desperate divorced Monica, because he doesn't have breasts to nurse the baby. This story sounds like its in my field of work as well. Event Marketing. It's extremely misogynistic.
I don’t know if it’s considered a corporate job but it was a govt contractor job that’s basically office work. It was horrible. So much sexual harassment, discrimination, cheating on spouses, bullying/hazing that intentionally pushes people to suicide. I would never recommend that unless you’re an asshole with no morals and don’t mind having blood on your hands.
Fun fact! You can sue for this ki d of discrimination! Its a protected class. Or field. I cant remember the word. But its like being discriminated for your race or age or orientation.
Bruh I understand Sam on saying "fk the game" and not wanting to play it. After some years doing medical billing and coding. I quit. Boss lashed out and became 🔥 and ❄️ . Employer abuse came to be and I left before my 2 weeks was up. I don't like the fact people have to act all buddy buddy then when hanging up the phone and talk mad poop then say that behavior is "professionalism" Edit: Warehouses are like this as well except they're a lot more sloppy and less educated. It's definitely isolating working on the floor as the only female and when reporting sexual harassment everyone avoids you. Rumors spread around to ruin my reputation. Constantly being written up for even the dumbest things and being set up. Having things with my name on it get ruined and the HR lady got fired and replaced. Edit. I'm continuously traumatized by all the different places I've worked at except for Auntie Ann's. I caused the trauma to this poor girl. I didn't know how to be more patient with people who don't know how to cook / bake. :I Definitely learned how to approach those situations better. I understand people are people but there's so much hurt. I'm so tired of it lol Best time I've had is working in festivals/clubs/conventions/general commissions and whatever I just sell online. *Cries in my equipment was in my car that caught fire*
So…the boys’ club IS the misogyny. If she’s got the seniority, she’s trained that guy, and she’s still pulling him along to get all the work done then a plum assignment getting plucked away is so uncool.
*BRO WTF SAM’S INTERVIEW VIDEO WAS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!* I deadass was left with my jaw dropped, wtf that was crazy good lol
Edit: Leni, you fucked up.
hahaha thank you!
Right?? That was legit awesome! Can’t believe they didn’t give him a position
That was way more effort than they deserved lol between the editing, the traveling, the ability to be so easily entertaining during the whole thing while being prerecorded while most people can’t do that, that was insane.

Yeah I was disappointed with Sam's take. "It's not misogyny because the manager just socializes more with his male coworker." Like dude, c'mon.

Especially if you told said good employee that the opportunity was theirs but then gave it to someone else.
Yeah I feel like the social games that are played are often misogynistic -- fuk corporate
Riley is my fave!
My OKOP storytime:
At my last job a male coworker with the same title as me would unplug computers and take the power cords so I couldn't use them, disable keyboards so I couldn't log in, and at one point BROKE INTO a locked cabinet that I had my purse in.
Why would someone in the right mind keep and enable that kind of people!!!! he is someone or knows someone or knows something, i don't see any other reason on why he would be there
and why was he so obsessed on sabotaging you??? such a small pp energy there
@is_just_diana idk I was the only woman working there so that may have been part of it
@@is_just_dianawhere did they say that
Today is Sam's revenge for being exiled by John and Sofia yesterday lol

Being good with people does help but I don't think if she played the social games the same way her coworker did, that she would reap the same benefits and that's what's biased about it
BRO. The effort you put into that job application video is more than I put into my k-12 life
I work in corporate and I have for the past 10 years.
There was so many red flags:
- The company didn't have a reception area so I was basically forced to stand outside in the middle of winter.
Great episode
*_AN ENTIRE EPISODE OF THESE GOOFBALLS WITH SOCK PUPPETS_*
Actually, everyone gets a sock for this specific sock puppet episode, Sophia, Sam, John, Carrie, *BIG PROTEIN.* I need all 4 sock puppets lol
You guys are just so adorable. Sam, that video was amazing. Riley, you’re so swoon.
This is incorrect.
Trauma bonding is when two people bond over similar trauma or having a similar abuser.
@emilystockhus I feel life you just pulled the first result from Google which is completely wrong, lol.
Aww, the bromances level increasing with every new episode.💚
Yeah so... I'm gonna make some sock puppets. 😂
Worked a corporate job and hated it so much. Also... omfg you two are so cute. YES to the reddit. Do itttt
It's nice hearing Melbourne pronounced the way aussies do. MelBIN.
Dang. Sam had potential in that company. He could have gone from secretary to porm star.
I can sew and would love to make sock puppets of you guys 😂💛 where do I send them?
I KNOW HOW TO MAKE FELT PUPPETS 😂 Now I’m hyperfixating on a John, Sam, and Sophia puppet 😅
I wanna post 3 stories lol they're all revenge on my 3 previous employers lol I destroyed a 10 year career.
Your own career or someone else's? Whats the story?
@csipes2524 someone else's... I got wrongfully terminated and they took forever to fix it. When I came back, HR told me I shouldn't be openly gay and they moved me away from my partner. I got the HR to quit but not how you think lol... I just schemed and came between her and her bestie (the facility manager) and caused a huge rift. She ended up quitting and thinking we were friends lol
Ooooooo tell us everything with our nosy asses!!! 👀 😄 😆 yessssssss
@andresespinosa6910 wow, we're you terminated for being gay? If so, that's illegal. Are you still with the company?
I did a puppetry project as a kid and could probably make puppets for everyone plus a stand in for random guests XD lmk lol
I've had more experiences like this in small, privately owned companies than in corporations. But I also am not generally considered a woman in most workplaces so maybe that's part of it?
That interview video was amazing haha
Protect Riley at all costs lol
That was an amazing interveiw!!
I will literally create a sock puppet right lmfao
OMG the interview video was amazing
We all love Riley!
Omg I want a sock puppet!!
I just wanna jump in the Riley appreciation train for a hot second.
THIS DUDE! How can you be so adorable and so manly at the same time!
I.WANT.MORE.RILEY! XD
Hi okop fam🎉❤❤love this show🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Now I wanna see sock puppets of everyone😂
I actually adhd, though im not going through the same exact problems as that lady. The job i work is where i have to be partnered with someone and last year i had the issue of having a partner who imo did the minimum and it did stress me out. I had also lost someone not long ago around that time so not only did i have the issues of still trying to manage since i dont take meds anymore but my emotions were scattered. What i did was took the opportunity to move to a different partner who not only did meet me in the middle but helps me when im having a hard time with my adhd.
I love you guys so much. Always good for a laugh. 😅😊😊😊
Yes please get a PO Box. just be warned of all the weird sock puppets you may receive.
19:43 yes, indeed. It’s called constructive dismissal and in most places it’s illegal.
Ohhh damn... looks like X broke it, she was just picking up the pieces in the kitchen"
When X claimed innocence she was told "but why would he do that?"
He took one of the very nice pens from the boss and left it on someone else's desk, knowing the boss was going there for a meeting.
After losing both my parents in two consecutive years I had a nervous breakdown... When I got back he joked about my "nerves" and talked to me baby voice saying "ooohhh is it to hawf for your pickle newves?"
But he only targeted women, cos the male bosses never took a woman's word over that of another guy.
I just replied (in a baby voice) "ohhh I'm sowwy, my phone is only for grown ups, likkle boys like him can't use growed up stuff, he might hurted himself and we can't have that can we?"
I drove off leaving him, I did stop at the service station down the rd and as usual a cop car was parked there.
I only helped cos the conditions were bad & if he died his family would be hurt... He could spin in hell on a pitchfork without lube for all I cared, but even he had people who'd mourn.
Hey, great job application. Maybe you have a future in RUclips :)
I got myself in similar position being UNDIAGNOSED Audhd and an LMSW (clinical social worker) working for a predatory residential mental health facility in TN and several other states
You had me at Sock Puppet!
Go team, I’ll send !
Riley is adorable.
Id be down to make some sock puppets~
it sounds like Riley says "We've been together all day togay" and that made me giggle
Standing up to them is a start, and lots of WEED. 😂
I am 8 minutes in and this sounds like a classic case of doing such a good job they can’t find a good replacement for you (especially if you’re doing 3 jobs) if a promotion was given. OP is so good they’re afraid to move her.
Get the PO Box. Do it!!
Confirmed! Sam and Riley are in a relationship 😂😂😂 Riley literally said we have been hanging out all day to gay
icu at 7:20 the coworker made up that she has complained to him that she has too much work
We love Riley ❤️ and everyone at OKOP
GET SICK PUPPETS! BUT MAKE THEM!! 😂 I NEED TO SEE THIS! MAKE THEM HOLDING RED FLAGS!!😂😂😂😂
It’s possible to have a federal job with way fewer of the social games OP was experiencing. I know multiple women who’ve been burnt out in corporate environments resulting in some of the same mental/physical symptoms but then go on to thrive in federal jobs.
We love Riley ❤ Wish I knew him when I lived in Knoxville!!
Riley has the best laugh 😅
I know quite a lot of people who loss hair when they got Covid.
Not to say she probably was stressed too but it’s also a side affect of Covid 😊
If you’ve never scored 4 touchdowns IN A SINGLE GAME, were you ever really a shoe salesman?
OMG Sam is so extra! and I love it!!!!
Yay Sam is back!!!😊
I don’t know if it’s considered a corporate job but it was a govt contractor job that’s basically office work.
I want to make your sock puppets ! Especially Sophia's because she's cute :3 But I live in France and sending them would take time and money.
did I see beer?
I think a lot of people aren’t as great at being employees as they think they are… from my experience competent dedicated employees rise to the top.
Riley needs a green screen too
Bruh I understand Sam on saying "fk the game" and not wanting to play it. After some years doing medical billing and coding. I quit. Boss lashed out and became 🔥 and ❄️ .
Employer abuse came to be and I left before my 2 weeks was up.
I don't like the fact people have to act all buddy buddy then when hanging up the phone and talk mad poop then say that behavior is "professionalism"
Edit: Warehouses are like this as well except they're a lot more sloppy and less educated.
I'm so tired of it lol
Best time I've had is working in festivals/clubs/conventions/general commissions and whatever I just sell online.
*Cries in my equipment was in my car that caught fire*
So…the boys’ club IS the misogyny. If she’s got the seniority, she’s trained that guy, and she’s still pulling him along to get all the work done then a plum assignment getting plucked away is so uncool.
I love Riley
