You are very welcome dear Mona, the idea is to make it tasty and appetizing, and after all it is one pot meal easy to make and clean up afterwards. The key is to soak the lentils the night before and get rid of all the skins that cause gas. Have a great day😍

I can't wait to make it. I would have never thought to add mint but it makes so much sense especially now in summer. I like the way you chopped the onions and garlic, not to fine so they have shape and texture left at the end for the garnish. Lovely, thank you. Also thank you for the tip on soaking and getting the skins off. ❤

Thank you so very much, I learnt Persian and even a few Turkish recipes from my mother (her ancestors were Farsi/Turkish Cossacks from Azarbijan)!! In fact my great Uncle was Commander Bagher Khan.
Twice, my mother, was asked to teach cooking on National T.V. in the Capital, but she was too busy!!
I've taught many of the authentic recipes to my wife.
I in no way, intend to be rude, however the name was just Soopeh Adas!! Moreover, both my wife and I paid close attention, and what you Show definitely look like YELLOW SPLIT PEAS, not Lentils!!!
Lentils come in 2 Colors, one is a Greenish Gray, and they other type (not common in IRAN), are "Red"!

If you can't handle lentils, then you need to eat some yogurt or something. The skins have vitamins. They are one of the least gas producing legumes I know of. Still, that's a nice tip for a formal meal. 😂 Bon Apatute! I once found a rock that was an exact duplicate of the pinto beans I was sifting through. I've found dirt clods that can do the same thing, until they get wet. You never know unless you get your hands in there.

I would use sheep's tail oil, clarified butter, or lard to sauté the onions in and pour in a little extra virgin olive oil in the adasi at the very end of cooking.
