i got my hands on lalaoopsie dolls after coraline came out and me and my sister would base our playtime around coraline and looking back it was HELLA creepy how we'd be sitting in the dark together saying the creepiest shit with those plastic dolls
I have always been terrified of dolls thinking they were out to get me, I hated when people game them until one day someone gave me a Lalaloopsy and something snapped in my brain, I don't know why but they don't scare me like the others, they are like, friend shaped.
I always liked to think the world of Lalaloopsy was created by a Grandma and her Granddaughter and granny would make the dolls from fabric from her travels
What in the world? That’s adorable 😭 I think I only ever had a single doll and never knew about the show (but swear also having watched a few episodes) but this sounds like it could be SO canon!
@@Roeseii I thought so too! There’s no actual clues that it’s canon, but I ran with this idea when I saw each doll had a special fabric they were stitched with and their stitch day. @@SpaceJunk07 That would fit a bit with the lines if you consider the Lala Oopsies line to be sewn from scrap fabrics and/or were from the granddaughter practicing making dolls on her own.
To be honest I thought that too. In my head I thought that the dolls were passed down from grandparent to grandchild and they would tell stories about the adventures they had with their beloved toys
Never had any of the dolls, but I used to watch the original show SO MUCH as a kid. My favourites were always Pillow, Jewel, and Mittens Edit: Glad there's more of y'all out there! I honestly forgot I left this comment, so this is a suprise
I remember having the movie that was about Pillow and I made my class in 1st grade watch them with me. We had a whole "debate" about it. I used to love Pillow, she was cool.
I was obsessed with lalaloopsy from 5th grade to 7th grade. Half of my computer lab time was spent looking at character bios for Lalaloopsy, Monster high and Bratz
Honestly the clothes thing is debatable. A lot of the dolls ARE named after what they are sewn from. Like Candle Slice O' Cake is sewn from a piece of cake, and Storm E. Cloud is sewn from wisps of a rain cloud. Some don't have that like Jewel Sparkles is sewn from a real princess dress. So her name isn't, well, Princess Dress. And Mittens Fluff N Stuff is sewn from a scarf and not mittens. For some reason.
in my opinion, it wasn't uncommon for doll brands to base dolls on irl cultures/ethnicities back then. the problem with dolls like Mango, Yuki, Feather, & Sahara from lalaloopsy is simply the fact that they are heavily stereotyped. the names and in some cases the designs are stereotypes of their respective cultures/ethnicities. ofc this wasn't done maliciously, and these dolls are still some of my favorites to this day! but it's important to acknowledge how designing dolls/characters like this in the future, could be harmful, and isn't the best way to represent those people irl. 🫶
@@KeatonChandelieryes I agree that the main problem wasn’t the name but the stereotyping in the design. Though maybe the names could’ve been a little more creative? I dunno.
@@KeatonChandelier I know that in Mittens’ original backstory she was supposedly sewn from an Inuk’s scarf (the original word is a slur for Inuit, Inuk is the singular term they prefer). Fortunately, they changed it to a cozy scarf and left it at that
They're my favorite doll line! I have over thirty of them retired ones and the ones from the relaunch a couple years back. Sucks that they're so underrated.
I LOVED THOSE DOLLS! I use to think they were called Lalalootsies. I had the ds game, a couple of the minis, these really tiny version of the minis, and one fabric doll that came with a couch and a bunny rabbit (I think I also had a movie but I'm not sure if that was real or just a fever dream). I was OBSESSED with them and I loved them dearly. Great video! I had so much Nostalgia from this,
Dude the Lalaloopsies carried my childhood fr, I swear I had every doll, big, small, babies, minis, pets, I had them all. I watched the movies, the TV show, they were my entire existence. Storm E Sky made me who I am today literally
Storm E was actually introduced in Lalaloopsy Girls, and it was very random because her sister, Cloud E, had a normal doll but she didn't. It felt odd to have her in the Netflix series but hey she's not that bad.
I recently started collecting Lalaloopsies again, and looking back they were such a great part of my childhood. I loved how different they looked at the time.
It's sad how it gradually became less popular over time. I guess the only good thing about it is that they're on discount in a store that's local to me lol so I don't have to worry about spending too much on the dolls. It is really hard to find the mini ones, where do you usually get yours?
@@IsThisJd I've gotten a few from discount stores, target and walmart, and older ones from swap meets. Secondhand ones are usually very well loved though so I have to fix them up a bit 🥲
I love how Lalaloopsys are so cheap as of now online. No scalpers. One of the best things to collect right now haha! Me myself have started collecting them again too. They were my whole Childhood 😭
at the time literally every doll on the shelf was either a barbie or bratz clone, and then we have lalaloopsy thats so radically different from everything else in the doll isle that they practically flew off the shelves!!! it was beautiful to watch i tell you. i was like 3-5 around the time of lala hysterias peak and i still remember the time when 4 yr old me fought a slightly older girl over a lala doll in a toys r us. pure magic i tell you. and anarchy!
I had one of the dolls as a kid for the sole purpose of chasing my brother around with it whenever he was rude to me. He had Koumpounophobia/a fear of buttons, and I remember trapping him in a room with my LalaLoopsy while LalaLoopsy(the show) was playing for like an hour because he broke my og Abbey Bominable doll. Sadly though, my mom threw my LalaLoopsy away shortly afterwards
Was aged out of the demographic when these came out, but I thought they were cute. They're like glamorous and more feminine ragdolls with swappable clothes. They also kinda remind me of home-made dolls I would make to play with. I think child me would have loved mini versions that had the same proportions as the fullsized dolls. I preferred toys that were easy to bring with me.
I was right within the demographic when these came out, but I always preferred those mini versions that came with tiny playsets to the larger dolls (although looking back my parents probably got them as they were more cost effective). I don’t know why I was surprised I would grow up to love musical theatre when I had the mini sized Tippy Tumblelina’s open-air stage playset as a kid!
I was also aged out of the demographic but my niece had them, I always thought they were super adorable. my mom loved them for the reason they look like raggedy Ann. I do wish I didn't miss those high school dolls cause they're right up my alley.
Lalaloopsy!! I never got why people didn't like them, lol. My earliest memory of halloween is wanting to go as Jewel, but my dad got the baker girl by mistake (I don't remember her name) And I hated it so much that I ended up disliking her as a character lol Looking back it was a good costume, I was just 5 and mad that I didn't get to be my pretty princess girl
10:35 As someone who LOVED Lalaloopsy as a kid, I just wanted to let you know that this thing with the packaging dates all the way bavk to the original Minis line. Each doll would come with a few accessories and a little house. (Other sets would usually have some kind of cardboard piece that also enhanced play. For example, I had this one camping set that had a sleeping bag and a grass texture printed on it.)
i was literally obsessed with Lalaloopsy and so was my mum. we were better off financially when I was younger, so I had a fair number of big dolls, littles and LIKE EVERY MINI. just a stupid number of minis (i had the tree house :3). it was unfortunate that the series didn't take off until later cause i was just a little too old for the demographic they were appealing to. I wish they committed to the high school fashion doll thing so the content could have aged with me :/. still super love them though
I feel like half the reason I was into Lalaloopsy was because it looked SO similar to LittleBigPlanet. Both worlds being made of every-day objects, the characters being made of cloth, etc. Sackboy needs his royalties. Stat.
@@_Pix_ I honestly should, too. It's the one I replayed most when I was younger tbh. I gotta thank y'all for reminding me how much I still love LBP lol
I loved Lalaloopsys as a kid, i loved the dolls, Jewel was always my favorite. I remember having a "collectors guide" book with all the different lalaloopsys it told you how they were "made" in their universe, like Jewel was "stitched using a princess's dress" and other things.
OMG I was a Lalaloopsy SUPERFAN as a kid! I loved their designs and the textures of the dolls--They tapped into my love of hand-sewing/arts and crafts and greatly foreshadowed me liking Coraline/Del Toro's Pinocchio when I grew up. My favorites were the minis because they made really good fidget toys for my tiny neurodivergent hands. My favorite doll was Bee Spells-a-Lot because she had blue eyes when every other doll had black ones, so I thought she was special. My older brother would always make fun of me and call them "creepy voodoo dolls" lol. The first movie was my favorite thing when I was little, and I played the two DS games all the time much to his annoyance. ('pIcK mE I cAn HeLp" XD) I have so many good memories with these dolls! Thanks for the blast from the past X)
There was also a doll with green eyes. I forget her name but I think she is a tropical islander girl. I think she has a pet parrot that looks like a pineapple.
You’re so right about the minis. I didn’t have them, but I had the older ones with moving legs and arms. I would take it EVERYWHERE because I liked shaking it and fiddling around with it hehe
Fun fact, when I was younger I found a lalaloopsie doll in my country not knowing what they were I begged my dad for one, I didn’t know they couldn't stand on there own so when we unpacked it and mine fail over my mum straight up called it a 'Knock Off doll' and it became a running joke when we saw a commercial of them
I don't remember ever seeing the ads, but I grew up watching the movies on Netflix because I thought the designs were cool, which ended up with me getting a couple of the minis I think? These were one of the few doll-movie things I was into as a child and actually got the dolls for lol
I remember finding a Lalalooppsy movie (I think) on RUclips when I was like 12 (I actually don’t remember) where they had to go on a quest to find one of their friends who went missing. I couldn’t really understand what the characters were saying because I wasn’t that good at English back then. Like Negative said mentioned in the video, the movie was named “The search for Pillow”
I actually remember the Nick Jr show! I watched it before they got sued it seems, because I remember watching it and really enjoying it because of how they set up the issues within the show. I tried looking them up to watch in the past and never figured out why I could never find them, so thanks for making this! Really nice trip down memory lane
I had the very tiny ones as a kid. Not the little sisters, but the miniature ones from 2010-2011! I absolutely adored them and their pets. My favorite ones were “Mittens Fluff N Stuff”, “Pillow featherbed”, and “Patch’s Treasure Hunt”
I loved these as kid, i literally have one of the big ones next to me rn. Me and my friends used to collect the miny versions in elementary school and we'd trade ones we had doubles of.
Lalaloopsy was one of my first big franchise obsessions, and also the gateway franchise to my unending love for all things Coraline! Oh and I guess it also made me start getting into sewing but Coraline is way more important!
I learned Sam Vincent's name yesterday after my brother tried recalling his MLP roles. I was shocked to find out he voiced Flim, shocked yet more that Flim has a last name, and most importantly I've only ever known him as "Hey it's Eli Shane!" From Slugterra
I remember having these dolls as a kid, I even had the little sisters and Lala-Oopsie’s haha these were great dolls and I adored them! I remember tho I really wanted spot splatter splash but never got to get her 😆
Thanks for hitting me with nostalgia, i loved lalaloopsy when i was younger. I even downloaded a few episodes of it on my old tablet using a video downloader
I love coraline and I've always thought lalaloopsies were the cutest things, but I don't think I've ever related one to the other until I saw OTHER PEOPLE doing so in the past couple years. these dolls don't even fall into the general "potentially creepy ragdoll" valley for me since they're so bright and heavily themed.
My mom and I were talking about Lalaloopsies yesterday since we had found the mini sets in our basement! We even one of the babies and crazy hair ones. I do miss the older series, but it was fun while it lasted.
Holy cow. I never made the connection these things were based on a horror concept. I do remember these dolls. Even as a kid I thought they were scary. Once in school we got a creative writing assignment, and I wrote a horror story about them kidnapping people and transforming their victims into new Lalaloopsies. A dad lost his wife and daughter until he found them as Lalaloopsies in the toy store. I'm not kidding.
I remember having one of the dolls as a kid, and my favorite ds game was a lalaloopsy game. I found a copy at the thrift store and I’m looking forward to playing it again.
I still have that game! I actually had two - one was the main one I assume you’re talking about where you make everyone gifts and befriend them. The other was a weird circus themed platformer
I loved lalaLoospy, I remember having all the mini figures and 1 of the little sisters, even some of the pets. I don't why but I for whatever reason gave the dolls to my grandma and the only time I got to see the dolls when I was allowed to play with the doll house. And even when my grandma gave the doll house for me to have, and some of the unwanted furniture and doll house stuff. She didn't give me the dolls and looking back on it. I regret it. I genuinely miss those little dolls
I remember I had one ever lalaloopsy and she was the one with curly pink hair and I was OBSESSED with it and after getting one I also watched the cartoon that’s on Netflix I think . I remembered watching it while playing with my lalaloopsy at my grandma’s house. I think it’s still there just in a dusty old closet also with my older cousin’s Justin Bieber doll and my old Anna doll💀. I think I also had one of the baby dolls but I think my grandma threw it away
I grew up with the Nick Jr show, the LalaOopsie movie, and I had the one alien girl doll. I didn't like how plasticy it felt. I'm pretty sure we regifted it.
I am pretty sure I had one as a kid. I forgot the name of them for a bit but I have some fond memories of playing on the website. And yeah they are really well made so I have an appreciation for them.
So, I was actually way too "old" for Lalaloopsy when they first came out, but as an adult collector, I really like them BECAUSE they're kinda creepy. But not in the American Girl Uncanny Valley way, but like in the "if I put a little paint on this it can absolutely blend in with my Halloween décor" kind of creepy.
I collected so many of the mini's, i loved how you got so many accessories and had whole story lines and big set ups that took forever to put together with how carefully i had to balance some stuff but god was it satisfying
I'm an odd fan for sure. I'm a man who saw the original Lalaloopsy show when I was 18 for the first time and absolutely loved how well-written it was. Forest Evergreen in particular stood out to me, as he's a super positive character who I've seen endure more suffering than most other cartoon characters and still kept his cool. I officially started watching it regularly about 2 years ago, but now Forest is one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time.
Omg I’ve been wanting you to talk about these dolls. I remember a show which is like a fever dream for me, I remember like only two characters(Bea and Pickles), and I remember watching it on like, Netflix.
Lalaloopsies were LITERALLY my childhood. As an adult toy collector now, I still have like 99% of the ones I collected as a kid. Which is like a hundred or so. Legit, I asked for basically nothing but those mini dolls when I was a kid for holidays, birthdays, etc. I have such fond memories of them (including the commercials, don't sue me lol) and seeing you talk about them was really fun.
I played with lalaloopsy a lot as a kid. I vividly remember getting a lalaloopsy mini for a secret santa at school, watching the show, and my sister even used it to convince me to watch coraline. I think I even played a game, too. It's really cool to see you decided to do a video on this!
This reminds me of how I used to have a bunny named Mipsi, but she was given away and the new owner was a girl who renaimed Mispi to Lalaloopsy. I was so mad 😭
Growing up the only doll brand I was allowed was lalaloopsy, I still have them, and they’re so so special to me, so when I saw that you made this video I got so excited
I remember enjoying the cartoon when I was younger. My brain just understood 2011 since it's 2023. That was a long time ago. I was doing something community College stuff at the time so no wonder I thought I was still a kid because of some down time before class started I could watch nickelodeon.
hearing you talk about how detailed the lalaloopsy dolls are just makes me actually so happy cus i used to play with these as a kid and i loved them so so much
If i do recall, there were multiple mini movies about Lalaloopsy, one where they had that highschool design, the lala-oopsies had a movie about a story book and the depletion of the strawberry milk ocean, the ponies had a movie about peanut, the circus one, having a penpal, and the babies had a movie where it was all a flashback where they were all talking about their family album. And then there was that one where they staged the cheese moon landing. Memories, amirite?
I remember having two of the dolls, I had a doll that had like- stretchy hair and a baby doll that uh you would put diapers on it then give the doll water and it would pee into the diaper then you would find a hidden charm inside- I think this is a lil wacky-
10:26 in 2017 when the new show came out they released new dolls. These dolls had real nylon hair,no floppy limbs, no sew on cheeks. And did not look like Lalaloopsy. It was stupid and ugly
I loved these so much when I was a kid I had like 7 of the full sized ones and a whole bunch of the minis that was until I watched coraline…. I threw them all in the shed the next day
I got a lalaloopsie doll after a arm surgery. I was so disappointed about the head being so heavy especially since I was a very clumsy kid and kept hitting my cast with its head 💀
Man, I never thought Lalaloopsies were creepy, I’ve always thought they looked cute and always wanted one and my favorite was Mittens Fluff n’ Stuff. I never got an actual one, sadly.. Only a soft plush version of her which wasn’t fun to play with at all for me as a kid :( Either way, I’ve always missed this franchise, I always thought the concept was super unique and cool. It made me think of Kirby’s epic yarn and I loved playing their online game too
the way I still have my collection of them…the moment I saw the ad as a kid was when I instantly fell in love with them. Out of all the dolls I’ve gotten as a kid and up to now, lalaloopsys holds a special place in my heart. Maybe because some people found them creepy, but I personally always found them cute lol
i agree that the highschool variation was weird and deviated too far from the original idea, i liked lalaloopsy because it was one of the few doll lines where fashion wasn't the main focus (it did play a part but the characters weren't all fashion obsessed like a lot of dolls were), and the characters were a bit younger like i was when i was into them, and then they just kinda went "what if we did the thing everyone else does?" and then yassified the ragdolls lmao also it's so weird they changed dot to just be the smart one who spouts big science words when they already had bea spells-a-lot for that role (i am way too invested in this lol) when i was younger my favorites were mittens (i'm pretty sure just because her hair was blue which was my favorite color at the time lmao) and crumbs, but now i think my favorites would be pillow (she's such a mood), spot and storm e. also there were two characters who were farmers named sunny side up and berry jars n jam and i think either of them could be the equivalent of applejack, and i know way too much about this doll series i haven't thought about in ages lmao
I had these as a kid!! I remember having other children coming over at my house and calling them creepy. I couldn’t figure out why they were so creeped out by them lmao.
Thank you, your esseys are my comfort videos. I have been having a bad month, you're helping me a lot with my anxiety. Love you and hope you're doing well.
I always loved the look of them and considered getting them but was so much of the "I'm not like other girls I don't like dolls" with literally everything but Monster High that I never actually bought one

They didn't end in 2014 they went on a hiatus in 2016 and then the reboot came out, storm E didn't come out in 2017 she was released alongside the lalaloopsy girls dolls, also your comparison of lalaloopsy to my little pony is inaccurate seeing as both lalaloopsy and my little pony friendship is magic were both released it 2010, although most of the video was pretty good plases do your research and maybe talk to some of the fans next time if you cover lalaloopsy again 💕
OH MY GOD WE HAD TWO OF THE ORIGINAL DOLLS AND I LOVED THEM, WE GOT THEM FROM A THRIFT STORE WHEN I WAS A LOT YOUNGER, AND WE ALSO HAD A PLUSHIE AND I THINK IT WAS ALSO A LALA LOOPSY? IT HAD A PULLY THING ON THE BACK THAT MADE IT TALK, APPARENTLY SHE HAD A BIRD AND LOVED BOOKS
The dolls were honestly really great, they have so many dolls and there all unique. I collect the mini ones and I have over 100. The little ones have sculpted on clothes but there so pretty, I also love the amount of details on each dolls hair like the Fruit collection where each hair resembles the fruit the dolls represents, or the jewelry collection where their outfits looks like gemstones and they have earrings, and the fairy collection where there each from a different season. It’s actually really sad because the doll community never talks about these dolls, like they talk so much about franchises like Ever After High, Monster High (before g3), Bratts, Winx Dolls, and so many other discontinued doll lines but never Lalaloopsy even though the dolls were adorable, super high quality, and their entire world building is so interesting
This video legit made me start my collection again. Had them when I was 7 don’t even remember what happened to them but this time I’ll make sure the are loved and cared for.
i loved everything about this franchise when i was a kid. i owned a “search for pillow” dvd, i had a bunch of the minis, i had 13 inch dolls, i had a silly hair doll, i had littles, i had the blind bag toys, i even had 2 ds games. i watched all of the movies as they came out on netflix. gonna be honest, i think youre underestimating the power of a 10 year old kid bc i made those things stand up all the time, it just requires finding the right angle to prop their head against a wall and plant their shoes on the ground. also: the original dolls came out the very same year as mlp fim, so theyre actually entirely unrelated when it comes to character archetypes? which was fun to look into actually. i think its really telling of me that they managed to convince me that my doll was alive and would move while i was asleep, and i still played with her every day. great video tho!! i love seeing you talk about things that formed memories in my brain i didnt know i still had. sorry if this comment made no sense, i am passionate about these things and just wanted to ramble
tried to give mine to my little cousin and my grandma asked if she could have a few to sell cause i had so many and then she preceded to take all the dolls except about 12 that all were missing clothes or had marker stains on the face, and im definitely not still salty
I only ever had blossom flowerpot but I adored her. I loved how heavy she was, it made her feel more 'real' when I held her and carried her around, and she was much easier to keep clean than any cloth doll
I had the biggest lalaloopsy obsession as a kid and I still do now!! I wish they brought back more of the dolls or even released new ones, these dolls bring me so much joy I still have all the ones from my childhood :)

I enjoyed watching the cartoon as a child, strangely the buttons didn't freak me out although I had nightmares about Coraline.
SAME
I was the same, except I loved coralline. Now-a-days I can’t watch it anymore though-
Yessss I actually thought the buttons were very cute
Me too when I used to watch the show. I was scared of the buttons in Coraline, but not in Lalaloopsy. Maybe it's the different aesthetic and tone 😅
Same!!! Coralline freaked me out but I watched EVERYTHING Lalaloopsie that I could find and loved it
I LOVED THOSE DOLLS! I had so much Nostalgia from this,
OK SO THERE WERE MOVIES, you brought them up. I had the magical tale one. Loved that movie. I have no clue what happened in it at all.
Dude the Lalaloopsies carried my childhood fr, I swear I had every doll, big, small, babies, minis, pets, I had them all. I watched the movies, the TV show, they were my entire existence. Storm E Sky made me who I am today literally
same here😭
Storm E was actually introduced in Lalaloopsy Girls, and it was very random because her sister, Cloud E, had a normal doll but she didn't.
@@LongLighti had completely forgotten about them until I found this video! And because of that, I found my old dolls in the attic :]
at the time literally every doll on the shelf was either a barbie or bratz clone, and then we have lalaloopsy thats so radically different from everything else in the doll isle that they practically flew off the shelves!!! it was beautiful to watch i tell you. i was like 3-5 around the time of lala hysterias peak and i still remember the time when 4 yr old me fought a slightly older girl over a lala doll in a toys r us. pure magic i tell you. and anarchy!
😟
I remember I got into Lala Loopsies only after watching Coraline. The somewhat creepy look was what drew me to them
Lalaloopsy!! I never got why people didn't like them, lol. My earliest memory of halloween is wanting to go as Jewel, but my dad got the baker girl by mistake (I don't remember her name) And I hated it so much that I ended up disliking her as a character lol
Looking back it was a good costume, I was just 5 and mad that I didn't get to be my pretty princess girl
I believe you mean Crumbs Sugar Cookie.
@@HerbertEnterprises Yup!! She's very cute and pretty, I don't hold a violent grudge against her anymore, lol
@@Zbot8577_ Great lol, I honestly love her, she's just- _chefs kiss_
@@HerbertEnterprises her and pinkie pie would be best buds if they ever met tbh
Yo the opposite happened to me I wanted to dress as Crumbs for my birthday but my mom already went and got a jewel dress
I wanted these as a kid for YEARS but I was always too embarrassed to ask for toys. Thanks for bringing back that nostalgia!
ME TOO! Forest Evergreen was my favorite 🤩
i was literally obsessed with Lalaloopsy and so was my mum. we were better off financially when I was younger, so I had a fair number of big dolls, littles and LIKE EVERY MINI. just a stupid number of minis (i had the tree house :3). it was unfortunate that the series didn't take off until later cause i was just a little too old for the demographic they were appealing to.
Stat.
YES!! This was it exactly, I always loved little big planet!
@@_Pix_ I knew someone would get it! From one LBP fan to another!
WAIT YOURE RIGHT- THE VIBES OF THEIR WORLDS ARE SOOO SIMILAR 💀
@@tymeforspiace7705 was actually thinking about replaying the third one recently :D
('pIcK mE I cAn HeLp" XD)
I have so many good memories with these dolls! Thanks for the blast from the past X)
There was also a doll with green eyes. I forget her name but I think she is a tropical islander girl. I think she has a pet parrot that looks like a pineapple.
@@samanthajade0024 I remember that one! I liked her too, for her green eyes of course. I had the mini version of her.
You’re so right about the minis. I didn’t have them, but I had the older ones with moving legs and arms. I would take it EVERYWHERE because I liked shaking it and fiddling around with it hehe
As someone who has more tinies than the actual dolls and minis, that speaks volumes
Oh my god I loved that movie!! I used to watch it all the time!
I HAD THAT MOVIE ON DVD LOLLL j was a huuuge fan ive watched it so many times jts unreal
THE SEARCH FOR PILLOW! i actually have that movie on dvd
I had a Alice in wonderland lalaloopsey and some girl called it creepy. Still brings back a lot of nostalgia
I actually remember the Nick Jr show! I watched it before they got sued it seems, because I remember watching it and really enjoying it because of how they set up the issues within the show. I tried looking them up to watch in the past and never figured out why I could never find them, so thanks for making this! Really nice trip down memory lane
I was OBSESSED with this doll line as a child. I’m 90% sure I had almost every doll and play set at one point.
I still remember the day they bought me my first, and only, Lalalopsy doll. Mittens fluff 'N stuff 5:31. I still have her, and i still love her
I loved these as kid, i literally have one of the big ones next to me rn.
FLIM HAS A LAST NAME????
Vermes aplicativo meu deputado do meu nome
Omg, glad you mentioned the ds game, cause I emulated it and played it, it's kind of fun!
Every time I see those button eyes of the Lalaloopsie dolls, this reminds me of the The Beldam/Other Mother from _Coraline_ movie.
When I was a child I was terrified of these dolls, because I had just seen coraline and that movie scared me as a kid.
OMG, I remember I met you on Lalaloopsy Amino
@@taffy8186 I am Night Cap. Remember that? 😎
@@lordkinesis4432Yes, you were obsessed with Forest Evergreen character
@@taffy8186 What do you mean "were?" I still am! XD
Omg I’ve been wanting you to talk about these dolls.
I remember a show which is like a fever dream for me, I remember like only two characters(Bea and Pickles), and I remember watching it on like, Netflix.
Why don’t anyone talk about them like they do with monster high or bratz?
@@oliviaurquizu8897 idk, they need to
Lalaloopsies were LITERALLY my childhood.
It's funny you brought up something so accurate to my life. These dolls creeped the crap out of me,all I could think of was Coraline
I wish you'd talked about Lalaloopsy Diaper Surprise, the baby toys that shat out plastic charms when you gave them water
Sounds Better than other baby toys I’ve seen
Omg, I’m pretty sure I had one of those when I was a kid. 💀
This reminds me of how I used to have a bunny named Mipsi, but she was given away and the new owner was a girl who renaimed Mispi to Lalaloopsy. I was so mad 😭
Hadn't had a doll till last year, but I was OBSESSED with the movie where they were babies as a kid
Growing up the only doll brand I was allowed was lalaloopsy, I still have them, and they’re so so special to me, so when I saw that you made this video I got so excited
I always wanted one cause they were why i got really into ragdolls and the whole aesthetic of them.
I had several of these things. I need to unpack the rest of my moving boxes so I can find them tbh
I remember enjoying the cartoon when I was younger. My brain just understood 2011 since it's 2023. That was a long time ago. I was doing something community College stuff at the time so no wonder I thought I was still a kid because of some down time before class started I could watch nickelodeon.
My favorite toys will always be Monster High Dolls, but I used to have a Crumbs Sugar Cookie doll. She was awesome.
I remember seeing these toys on adverts when I was young, but never got one myself.
hearing you talk about how detailed the lalaloopsy dolls are just makes me actually so happy cus i used to play with these as a kid and i loved them so so much
If i do recall, there were multiple mini movies about Lalaloopsy, one where they had that highschool design, the lala-oopsies had a movie about a story book and the depletion of the strawberry milk ocean, the ponies had a movie about peanut, the circus one, having a penpal, and the babies had a movie where it was all a flashback where they were all talking about their family album.
It made me think of Kirby’s epic yarn and I loved playing their online game too
saw lalaloopsy in the title and clicked immediately ^__^
I'm starting to see lalaloopsies in stores again and it feels like I've gone back in time to my childhood every time I do
Can we all stop and appreciate how NegativeLegend looks amazing in this video, like their hair is so pretty???
the way I still have my collection of them…the moment I saw the ad as a kid was when I instantly fell in love with them. Out of all the dolls I’ve gotten as a kid and up to now, lalaloopsys holds a special place in my heart. Maybe because some people found them creepy, but I personally always found them cute lol
i agree that the highschool variation was weird and deviated too far from the original idea, i liked lalaloopsy because it was one of the few doll lines where fashion wasn't the main focus (it did play a part but the characters weren't all fashion obsessed like a lot of dolls were), and the characters were a bit younger like i was when i was into them, and then they just kinda went "what if we did the thing everyone else does?" and then yassified the ragdolls lmao
also it's so weird they changed dot to just be the smart one who spouts big science words when they already had bea spells-a-lot for that role (i am way too invested in this lol)
when i was younger my favorites were mittens (i'm pretty sure just because her hair was blue which was my favorite color at the time lmao) and crumbs, but now i think my favorites would be pillow (she's such a mood), spot and storm e.
also there were two characters who were farmers named sunny side up and berry jars n jam and i think either of them could be the equivalent of applejack, and i know way too much about this doll series i haven't thought about in ages lmao
I had these as a kid!! I remember having other children coming over at my house and calling them creepy. I couldn’t figure out why they were so creeped out by them lmao.
Lalaloopsy Girls was essentially MGA's attempt at Equestria Girls.

I remember being OBSESSED with this show. And I sometimes randomly thought about it,and am happy someone finally made a vid about it
0:18 I had that exact doll!
The mini dolls and the original Lalaloopsy plush was my childhood
I have 10 of them from my sister-
The dolls were honestly really great, they have so many dolls and there all unique.
I remember the episode where they go to a different dimension, and someone wanting sugar cubes? I liked the show growing up, 7/10
I used to love these dolls as a kid and occasionally I go watch the show again
I had a dollhouse and toys of a few of them when i was little. I think I still have the dollhouse.
This video legit made me start my collection again. Had them when I was 7 don’t even remember what happened to them but this time I’ll make sure the are loved and cared for.
Lol i forgot about lalaloopsies -
I think i still have a couple lalaloopsy things 💀
I remember having a pink slightly transparent haired one
i loved everything about this franchise when i was a kid. i owned a “search for pillow” dvd, i had a bunch of the minis, i had 13 inch dolls, i had a silly hair doll, i had littles, i had the blind bag toys, i even had 2 ds games. i watched all of the movies as they came out on netflix. gonna be honest, i think youre underestimating the power of a 10 year old kid bc i made those things stand up all the time, it just requires finding the right angle to prop their head against a wall and plant their shoes on the ground. also: the original dolls came out the very same year as mlp fim, so theyre actually entirely unrelated when it comes to character archetypes? which was fun to look into actually. i think its really telling of me that they managed to convince me that my doll was alive and would move while i was asleep, and i still played with her every day. great video tho!! i love seeing you talk about things that formed memories in my brain i didnt know i still had. sorry if this comment made no sense, i am passionate about these things and just wanted to ramble
I literally just realized that I used to have one of these dolls.
tried to give mine to my little cousin and my grandma asked if she could have a few to sell cause i had so many and then she preceded to take all the dolls except about 12 that all were missing clothes or had marker stains on the face, and im definitely not still salty
I only ever had blossom flowerpot but I adored her. I loved how heavy she was, it made her feel more 'real' when I held her and carried her around, and she was much easier to keep clean than any cloth doll
0:47 Ahhh yes, my first “Lalaloopsy” doll, behind Dot Starlight. I picked it up from the teacher’s treasure box in 1st grade
I had the biggest lalaloopsy obsession as a kid and I still do now!! I wish they brought back more of the dolls or even released new ones, these dolls bring me so much joy I still have all the ones from my childhood :)
Loving the cat break!! Also, me and my sister had a Loopsie, this gives me SO MUCH nostalgia!
