I rigged up a canopy on the side of my car for a nice relaxing night of #camping in the Pacific Northwest. A wonderful evening, with excellent food. My journey continues! I'm already at my next camping location as I upload this. Cheers everyone!
Happy #Thanksgiving to those of you in the United States 🍻

“I used to cook for two.” Steve, we can all see and hear your grief, and I am so sorry that you have to endure this. The fact that you continue to make videos is a testament to your character and resilience. You are an incredible human being and I wish only the best for you.
I’m confused. Did he get divorced?
@@TheNbc27 No mate, unfortunately his beautiful wife passed away last year...... Poor steve has been a pillar of strength
@@chasetherocknroll5144 I had just found Steve about a few months before that. Truly heartbreaking. He is one hell of a guy!!
Classic Steve. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. ❤
Give me a fucking break bro lol
I know it's not Canadian Thanksgiving, but we here in the US sure are thankful for you Steve. A new video from you always makes the day better!
Agreed! This makes today better..
same... i can smell the turkey cooking and this video will help me take my mind off the food, till it's ready
I am a Canadian in the states at a Texas RV park and they invited me to their big Thanksgiving dinner and it was awesome
Glad you got to get a good meal!@@livinginavwvan207
Yea definitely it does
"Why are my plans so ridiculous?"
I don't know, Steve, but your ridiculous plans are one of the reasons why I watch your channel, so keep them coming!
You should consider making a Hunker Down Camping Cookbook. Always impressed by the meals you put together while camping!
I loved watching him make real bechamel for the mac and cheese from scratch over a camp stove using a piece of firewood as his only kitchen utensil.
My favorite part of Steve's videos is that he doesn't pretend to be an expert camper with all this fancy gear, he is just a normal dude that loves camping.
Authenticity at it's finest! ❤
Nobody can call Steve a poseur
💯
although actually he used to live that way year around. he is probably as good at it as you can get.
I love watching him cook and eat food
I love how Steve can lie down in an abandoned building, or next to a muddy puddle, in the cold and still say, "it doesn't get any better than this". Cracks me up every time.
that’s the best life tho, the simple life. ❤
Just smiling in the dark whispering to himself under a bridge in a wet sleeping bag.
Is the small thing in life, enjoy every little bit of it before you can’t enjoy nothing at all .
It’s incredible you have reached this point Steve with so many subscribers and not taking a single sponsorship! You’ve been through a lot it’s inspiring
Very well said!
"Environmentally Friendly" as he cracks open a road flare to start his fire! Hahaha
I took a break from my U.S. Thanksgiving cooking to hang with Steve. It was a welcome, calming break. I'm grateful you're out there, Steve, whether you are filming or not. You remind me of all that's good in the world. Enjoy your forays.
Dare I say, better than football? It is.
Yes !
Steve just made everyone's Thanksgiving better
Hey Steve, I DO NOT sleep with a rice cooker in a car. I sleep with a crock pot in a minivan!! Lol 😂 Happy ABC Thanksgiving!! 🦃⛺💖
This year I’m thankful that Steve is one of the most resilient humans on the planet, that even after everything this man has been through he still makes sure we have amazing content to watch.! We love you Steve!
Steve, I can't thank you enough for posting today. As a third shift healthcare worker I spend thanksgiving alone every year due to work, and it was really nice spending some time with you on your adventure.
I spend Thanksgiving alone every year too, like you, due to work. I do third shift security for a hospice center. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your sacrifice so people are well cared for.
Thanks for being a healthcare worker and helping others when they need help.
I hope that shift you work doesn't interfere with the care you give to people. My mom was just in a health care facility for the last four months of her life. I was not impressed of the care she got. Breaks my heart.
@@jimengle3178 Jim, I am so sorry that your mom got subpar care. Unfortunately, it is very common in the US healthcare system for many reasons. I am not making excuses for poor workers, because at the end of the day we have a standard to uphold. I personally take that very seriously and I have always and will always give my 100% to my patients/clients, although I can acknowledge not all of us do. I truly am sorry about the quality of your mother's care, it breaks my heart to hear that as well. 🫶
We're thankful for you, Steve. Take care of yourself and know that you have thousands of people who care a great deal about you.
“Hey everybody! Welcome to Camping with Steve.” Two simple sentences that bring a smile to the face of all!
Using a piece of wood as a cooking utensil and using the phrase "Camp seasoning" made me laugh. It reminded me of camping with my Dad when we were kids. He was the guy who would use a twig from the fire to light his cigarette when he had a Zippo in his pocket. (Except for camping, I don't have many good memories of my Dad. Thanks Steve for jogging one of the few good ones that I do.)
I love watching your camping with Steve videos ,of course especially the stealthy ones.I saw you said people asked you about a single woman camping..I am a 65 year old woman who now car camps alone in her Honda Pilot.I lost my husband 4 years ago .But I was not going to allow it to stop me doing what I love ,camping is part of that .I drove from Fla. all the way to Yelliwstone ,worked there for almost 8 months and drove all the way back by myself. If you love camping ,or getting out in Nature dont be afraid to just get out and do it ,even by yourself. As a single female I just am careful where I stop at and where I am going ,be aware of whats around you ,follow your gut.And get out and live your life. Thanks Steve for all you do.
I also camp in my Honda Pilot which has a lot of room inside compared to Steves suv. That's what he needs, more room! I live only a few miles from his campsite, this is a great area to camp year-round with mild winters for Canada.
And always stay armed. Nothing beats having an equalizer.
Happy thanksgiving everyone and hope you all have a great day!
lol. we had Thanksgiving last month.
US or Canada, the love of camping unites us all
Happy Thanksgiving Skylar and your family hope you have a wonderful day
𝐆𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞
You too Sunshine
Steve is just a genuine human being and it’s incredibly comforting knowing he’s around. Steve, I’m sure I speak for most of us when I say you make the world a little brighter. Thank you for the videos.
Feeling comfortable in someone’s presence is rare nowadays, we are all on edge around each other and have trust issues but with Steve I feel at peace lol.
I’m sorry you can’t cook for two anymore Steve, but know how grateful we are for you and you cooking for us million + subscribers. All the love to you man. ❤❤❤
I love knowing on some nights while I’m laying in bed, Steve is out in the wilderness doing his thing. Hope you’re finding peace these days Steve, happy thanksgiving
I work at canadian tire and the parade of things you pull out every video that I walk past every day is epic. Haha. Keep it up steve ❤
Steve is out in the wilderness executing legit culinary techniques. That roux was spot on.
Roux? It looked more like a bechamel to me. 😂
@@5roundsrapid263 I might have gotten a little carried away with the culinary talk 🤣
sure looked tasty
I have basically zero intention of actually going out and trying this stuff, mostly due to not having the time - this hits the spot, it scratches that itch like you wouldnt believe. You wouldnt think you could feel this vicarious about being camping through a screen but I do.
Btw - I know its an old ass vehicle, but I have a 2003 Grand Caravan that with the back seats removed holds a shit ton.
Admittedly I haven’t watched more than a few minutes but thank you Steve for doing what you do wether it’s weekly or monthly, it is always worth the wait.
I hope your thanksgiving is going well & that you know we all love and appreciate what you’ve done for the camping/hiking community.
Happy Thanksgiving! :)
Thanksgiving is in October in Canada...
I think I speak for all of us when I say that I'm incredibly thankful that you are who you are Steve. Hope you're doing great, because you make all of our lives better.
I just laughed my step 2'd arse off when you said "not quite roundabout material", that was the first video of yours I ever watched and I was thinking of it when I was watching this 😅
We love you Steve! This video was amazing
That was my first video, too!
The first video I watched was behind the Home Depot, it looked so much like my local but not 😅😊❤🎉
You know you’ve made it as a youtuber when people are counterfeiting your merch. Cheers, Steve, I love your videos!😊
You can see the actual moment where Steve realized he said the Ranger's name and was going to have to edit it out. There is so much emotion packed into that tiny sideways glance and I absolutely love it.
Thanks for everything you do Steve. I have been following you for years and I love everything you do.
It’s not that deep 😂
Haha yep, the flare and fluid underhanded gouge at being told to respect the environment 🤣
Steve's camping adventures are always worth viewing !
1:57 "no way, is this going to work" is one of many great lines in this one! Love it when a plan comes together!
"We like to keep things as eco friendly as possible." Proceeds to light fire with road flare. I love it.
Thanks for the videos, Steve! We really enjoy coming along. 🇨🇦 ❤
I’m not Canadian and I know it’s not Canadian thanksgiving but wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!!! You are an amazing person and hide your pain very well. But I can see it and sense it. I love your videos and you are a great soul.
I hope you are finding some peace in life. I have always went long time camping. In fact , I'd love to live just like that. You do find peace in this beautiful place ...God gives us the courage to keep going and knowing that we heal but in different ways, After losing my husband and 3rd son , I hated waking up without them, but I always keep front and center , what would they want me to do.. I think that daily. I have the hurt and angry about that and lots of why's . I've learned how to navigate around that , and like I said, feelings will never go away, but you just learn how to live around it. I love watching you, makes me feel peaceful inside.. Love Teresa..
Steve your strength is awesome loss like you’ve experienced is life changing. I’ve experienced that same loss with 2 very special people in just a few months. You’re a inspiration you’ve helped me through my grief so thank you. Stay strong brother you are in my prayers.
It's always a good day when Steve gives us a new video. Thanks Steve.
I've been dealing with loss and feeling like life isnt fair. I also never had a father figure. That being said I've learned some really important life lessons watching Steve. Especially lately with the loss of a loved one and how to continue on. Thank you Steve for just being you 🙏
Life isn’t fair. 100% unfortunately. Hang in there. I think anyone who has any good qualities in them, is suffering a great deal right now. Hang in there. I believe that things are about to get more difficult here real soon. Whatever you do, never let the devil win!! Keep going and know that you are NOT the only one.
I know from experience where you are I am living that day by day just pray and take care of you
Yay! Steve Vid! 😃😃😃 Gorgeous area! 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Around 15 minutes you mentioned the best vehicle that would allow you to do what you want, and I would recommend you get the next size up Toyota 4runner. I purchased one myself a few years back with the main purpose being to use it for camping/excursions and it has been absolutely perfect. Not too big that it can't be maneuvered driving everywhere but plenty big enough to comfortably sleep in/hold all my gear on all my trips. Gas mileage wouldn't be as good but you'd definitely get the room and utility out of it.
5:36 As someone who owns a summer cottage next to the ocean (in NS, Steve!) I can confirm that it IS the best sound to fall asleep to.
Another excellent video Steve.
And to all Americans watching, happy thanksgiving from Denmark!
Thank you Denmark !
"Next stop: adventure!" Love you, Steve. And I feel your pain on cooking for 1 on the road. Be well, brother. You bring joy into many people's lives! Thankful there is a Steve Wallis in the world generating positive energy.
yeah the overnight timelapse is always one of my favorite parts
“He didn’t want to be film. He didn’t want to…*realization*…to say his name.” 😂 never change Steve
“As long it remains perfectly calm, this will do just fine.” 😂
That’s real experience camping talking right there.
YAY Steve! I'm 72 and all alone and was having a bad Thanksgiving. Glad that you posted.
I'm sorry your thanksgiving isn't the best. I hope tomorrow is a better day.
We got your back Steve and will always support you. The King of Stealth Camping. Often replicated; never duplicated.
Well, I used to save camping with Steve for when things in my life were stable and good... Right now though, for now... certain things in my life have gone suddenly and devastatingly downhill... When they weren't great to begin with... And right now watching these videos is one of few things I have left getting me through and helping me barely cope. My grief I'm sure doesn't compare to yours Steve, but I can relate to your grief in ways I never wanted to be able to... And it's awful. I know it's not news to you that there are people out there going through stuff and being helped by your work and your strength... But I want to thank you for being there and doing what you do. I hope you are coping better than I would be. And indeed better than I am. Things really aren't all fair in the world at this time. Let's hope for genuinely happier times to return, somehow. Gosh, I hope somehow they can for us. Sending brotherly love, buddy
Thanks Steve! I’ve been in a pretty deep depression lately where I’ve been stuck in a work/sleep loop for years. Your videos have given me a new hobby and something to look forward to doing at the end of the week
I had to go 3 months without watching a camping with Steve video and it feels so good to be back
why would you do that to yourself
Jail?
You can still bindge watch what you missed
@@livinginavwvan207nah
@@illegalwidget267I just bought a pack of beer for that
I like your idea of a minivan. A minivan gives you the flexibility of using it for those big trips to the hardware store (if you fold down/take out seats), room for camping gear and ubiquitous enough to not be out of place parked on a city street. An AWD version would be helpful too.
What you said about having to buy everything portioned for families is something I struggle with too. It's hard finding stuff that's portioned for one person and usually when you find something it's pretty expensive.
Hey Steve, my wife and I got some potentially bad news about our unborn baby this week. I told her I needed a pick me up with one of your videos. Your work is impactful and brings us a lot of joy! Thank you for sharing these moments with us.
Wish you and wife the best with your baby Adam
Best of wishes to you and your family.
Love your content mate. Your loss is something that is not measurable. I was heart broken for you. You do you and I will continue loving your content mate 👌🏻😎
Toyota Sienna. Perfect minivan for sleeping, towing, hauling all your stuff and a solid vehicle overall.
I"m a 78 year old woman who camps, but I take my big dog, and a gun, and experience being around dangerous people. I retired from the department of corrections, and one thing that has kept me safe is - - - I TRUST NO ONE OUT ON THAT ROAD - - - NO ONE!!! And neither does my dog. Some of the serial killers I worked with, were the nicest men you would ever want to meet. Kemper that lopped off about 14 heads, is a very nice gentleman with a good personality.
I love that you just make do with what most people can find at a gas station. No fancy product placement of equipment that us normal Joes can't afford anyway.
You are the best Steve. Keep it up
I think Steve must be the coolest bloke ever. People try so hard to appear cool but Steve is just sooo natural. What a dude.
Steve ... thank you thank you for hours of happiness and joy. You're respected and loved by many. 🇨🇦 thank for entertaining us
After a hard day’s work, nothing more relaxing than a new camping video from Steve! Thanks for that and cheers Steve. Keep it up 🍻
Happy Thanksgiving, Steve. I can speak for 1.43 million subscribers of yours that are very gratefully for you. Carry on brother....
I love seeing the Canadian parks, and agree that the best sound to sleep to is the sound of waves on the beach
This is what I miss. Steve cooking outside. Thank you Steve, wish you all the best.
8:30 I always love seeing what Steve's "bushcraft" fire starting will be each video. 😄
It's always a joy seeing a new video ! Steve always find a new and creative way to make camping exciting 🎉
I’d go for a Ford Transit Steve. Get a black one, stick some false plumber signs on it for stealth, all the creature comforts in the front and loads of room in t’back. Drives like a car too👍🏻 Love from UK x
No you get a Chevy Express 2500 HD with a 6.6L LS v8!
😊😂
Steve mate! Love your work. I have a suggestion for a stealth camping vehicle. So hear me out, there are some really good reasons to consider this. A 2013 Tesla model S RWD. Stay with me. Its cheap. Mid $20K. Deceptive large head room. Rear lift gate easy access. Stupid amounts of storage with an extra large Front trunk or frunk and below trunk space. Rear seats fold flat for almost 6ft. Insane Traction control, torque, combined with winter tires will get you through most things an AWD can. Its electric, plenty of power for charging and running small appliances. The big selling point is that it has camp mode. Heat or A/C runs all night. Sleep in relative comfort. Bonus, Tesla supercharger network is all across Canada. Willing to bet someone in the Stealth Camping community would lend you a Tesla to test.Anyway just a thought. Looking forward to your next few stealth camps. Cheers.
“No way! This is gonna work?” Loved it. Beautiful site, amazing trees and views. Super glad the pot didn’t fall and that you didn’t get a splinter from the stir stick. 😂Thanks for sharing! Happy All American Holiday Thanksgiving !
Hi Steve. I just got home from camping in the desert near Moab, Utah. I drove 3500 km from Ontario to met up with an old camping friend from Vancouver, who I haven't seen in 34 years. I can tell you the 4wheeling, soaring red rock messas and steep canyons along the Colorado River are mind blowing, which would make great video content for your channel. Early Spring and late Fall have the most temperate conditions. Always enjoy your videos. Cheers!
Improvisation is a natural skill. I find the sound of crashing waves quite eerie when its evening.
Thankyou for sharing, love your stories
I have been watching since 2021 when Covid quarantine came for round 2. That was a terrible time in my life and Steve your videos were one of the only things that could make me laugh or smile. I’ve seen your journey these past years and despite the grief you live life to the fullest. As American tradition goes I’m thankful for you Steve and the selflessness that your personality shows. Happy holidays 🎉
This. It was as if Jess was sitting across from you, Steve when you were cooking and showing the finished meal.
This is a beautiful, fun ending of a Thanksgiving Day hunkered down. Thank you Steve 💯🤍🕊
So great to see Steve continuing to do what he loves.
my folks have modded their toyota minivan to have a queen bed on milk crates. plenty of under bed storage. Wife and I took a trip to Niagara in a 2012 Rav4. Slept in the back wish i'd have put a better pillow material over the hinge in the back seats, but live and learn. Way to rock out steve. Inspiration man.
I love the view of the Olympic mountains from your camp. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in the PNW and I’m grateful for the time you share with us! 🌲🍄🐿 🏔️
I'd be camping all the time there if its free
Hey Steve as a fellow Canadian camper myself, also solo camp,so many great ideas from all of your adventures. I admire what you do,humble and kind ,true to who u are. After everything you have gone through, keep pushing on my friend.we will be there tuning in.
Thanks Steve for your knowledge sharing, this is what we love, not like other camper youtubers who use super expensive camping gears. You show us to use something that can find easily and cheap
Thanks for letting me camp with you Steve! Always good. Really liking the party lights on this mission too. Cheers Brother!
Steve it doesn’t matter to me what you’re doing or filming I just like to see you every week like you’re checking in with us so we know you’re ok.
Thx ❤
HEY Hello Steve! Great to see you, thumbs UP!!
I could really do going camping with Steve right now. Wish I wasn't so far away. Bless you Steve
It's been a pretty rough week, I'm not gonna lie. So seeing this upload really put a smile on my face and I just wanted to say thanks
Well, this is happy Thanksgiving day for me then working outside in upper Michigan starting to get cool up here and I went into my camp room working on and my phone said camping with Steve video I jumped on it and it was only a few people watching and it's amazing how many people comment and give us thumbs up I'm so grateful you made my day Steve Wallace thank you brother may God bless you in your travels and stay strong in the name of Jesus. Amen.
I came as quick as possible Steve 🏃🏃💨
I own a 7 seater Land rover Discovery 3 HSE and when the back 5 seats are folded down I get 75 inches in length of bed space which is brilliant for even 2 people to sleep in and I can carry as much gear as I want without even a roof rack and with the split tailgate open it makes a great seat to sit on as well. Plus it has a small internal storage box either side at the rear and an electric socket there too ( as well as other sockets in the front and middle of the vehicle). Along with 3 sunroofs, tailgate tent , headline video player, heated 5 seats, several cup holders and a mini fridge at the front it really is the perfect camping vehicle.
The realization that you weren't supposed to say the guys name, followed by the knowledge that you can beep it out happening in real time cracked me up.. great video as always steve
Gracias Steve for bringing us all together!! Much love from Puerto Rico, wishing that one day you can do a camping video in El Yunke or anywhere in this beautiful island. 🇵🇷🇺🇲
did you use a one star "U.S." flag? that's a different country. You know we live in Canada.
@linebrunelle1004 Its the flags that I use to represent my countries😅 Does Canada get snow all across in these winter times?
Hi Steve! One of my favorite things about your videos is when you do the morning breakfast as you're heading out of your camp spot. I hope you'll consider adding more of these, even if it's fast food or something basic. Can't wait to see the next few vids!
I love this too. It’s so weird but I love when he orders his coffee and hash brown thing at the drive in. This is a very niche like I admit! Something so cosy and relaxing about it.
I like to watch these videos before i go to sleep because they are just so comforting, thank you for making these :D
The realization on his face when he said "he didn't want me to say his name" 😂 that was all to real! ❤
I’m not American but I’m thankful for this video. (I don’t get out so the sight & sound of the waves was wonderful) 👌🏻
It's Canada
@@camac360 I know! but Steve referenced the American Thanksgiving, hence my thankful comment. Try to keep up 😂😂😂

Stirring with kindling!!! Love it and love you Steve! You are so real and fun.

'Anything worth doing is worth over doing.' - Steve Wallis LOL that was awesome! Thanks for the video, Steve. Happy (US) Thanksgiving. We are thankful for you
I love how you always "accurately measure" your ingredients, Steve! Nice to see you eating some veggies as well. Happy travels!
