What impressed me is how clear and understandable your video is about where everything goes and why. That is not always the case, even with other tidy and organized set ups. Plus in under 12 minutes, great job. Sometimes when i see 20 or 30 minute video's of this kind I just don't want to take the time to watch. Oh, and loved your "shot" throwing an Item into the rooftop container.
Hello. I have recently discovered your channel and am enjoying catching up on your adventures. Recently I watched your latest video on your van build which I can appreciate the efforts you have made so far and the journey ahead of you, having just recently completed a Ford transit custom van build myself. I too prior to building my van, built a mini camper unit to fit in my citroen berlingo, an ugly vehicle but I truly loved it for its versatility and practicability. I used it for numerous trip around the UK. A great security feature I learned was when parked up over night, to stop your doors from being opened, pass the seatbelt through the door arm rest and then into the seatbelt restraining mechanism. This prevents the doors from being open from the outside.
Something you may want to consider is a tool roll. It would keep the stuff in the "garage" organized and together in a small package and may even allow for more room for other tools or stuff from the junk drawer area. Pretty impressive set up and good use of space.
Almost identical to me. I have a DC fridge where your clothes storage box is, and I bought a square 3 gallon water jug at WM instead of round. I think it uses space better. I actually bought a car organizer box with a divider and put it on my front seat. The square jug fits perfectly on one side, and I can cram stuff in the other. It’s black and keeps thing looking neat and concealed. Those are my ideas, but I got some good ones from you. Thanks for sharing.
Just subscribed enjoying your channel your fun to watch you don’t give up wishing you the best you’re down to earth and real seams like that’s rare these days your doing awesome
Hola Elisa, thanks for making this Vlog, Ep. 9 from last year. That is a vast contrast, in one year you went from a Toyota RAV4 small SUV to a Large Dodge Promaster Commercial Van, renovated into your traveling RV/Camper on trips to state parks or camp sites in the Eastern or Midwest USA. Please take care. Addios Elisa. 😊👋👋🙏
For someone who has many years experience hiking and camping, your video has covered many aspects of assessories required, many news ones I have never seen and organization. Excellent content. I had subscribed. Thank you A+
Wow I am so impressed with how well organised you keep all your stuff , I have seen quite a few RUclipsrs online who travel and vlog from cars but you are way ahead of the rest .Every single usable space has been used ! , everything you could possibly need you have somewhere in that car , and you seem to know where everything is , very impressive , thanks for sharing with us .
You are a very pretty and efficient young lady. You do an excellent job at using up all the small spaces in your Toyota RAV 4. You have limited space and you’re doing a good job making everything fit to your benefit. Keep up the good work. I’m sure most people watching feel the same as I do. God bless. JP
That is totally amazing. You have everything you can ever need in such a small space. It is giving me incentive to get an SUV or small van like the city transit. I like the idea of remaining stealth and be ready for my weekend getaways. Thx for sharing.
The RUclips algorithm brought me here, thank you for the storage tour! I have a 2017 RAV4, so it's a little different but I still have some new ideas now. Looks like the roof storage is working well, definitely a good investment. Blessings from Phoenix, AZ!
You are a genius. I have a teenager that she stays over night at a friends and works late. Some of your ideas I am going to incorporate for her and suggest to an older son. Oh yes, Living in Maryland, There are times the weather detains us a lot to have, like the dry goods and something to heat water for coffee or noodles. Just came across your channel and I must say young lady you are so on point. Safe travels.
A recent purchase I love for my estate car which I sleep in camping is a tailgate awning.. Especially if you live in a rainy country as I do.. Its cheap and so easy to put on and up and keeps rain out of the trunk when open and a dry space to work under.. and a porch that could link to a tent.. Light and folds into a small bag.. Another ' must have' for me is my pop-up shower tent.. for when not bringing a tent or when no ground to peg a tent down.. I attach it to the side of the car and though a small space, it's a stand up space that can fit my small table and chair, and I've cooked in there in cold or wet weather safely.. It doubles of course as a shower / toilet space.. or wet clothes hanging space.. or just to sit in with a cuppa coffee out of a cold breeze and watch the sunset!
I love it. I just realized today that the RAV 4 is bigger than I thought it was and glanced at a new hybrid while at the dealership getting a new tire puiit on my Camry. I realized it is big enough for my wife and I to sleep in, and it can pull my small utility trailer. We live near a free camping area where we swim every summer but never camp because we dop not want to tent camp. The RAV 4 is looking pretty good.
I subscribed after watching the episode where you funished the Van and now im going backwards to learn the step by step. Im so impressed with your "can do" attitude and your zest for life and its adventures Looking forward to new episodes and never stop enjoying life
Elisa, you are absolutely stunning. That part about the yoga mat and then the pause and I don’t use it was so funny to me. Thanks for another vid, be safe.
First-time visitor. Liked and subscribed. You've done a very impressive job with the organization and functionality of your RAV4 camper and the gear that you have. Thank you for running through all of the details - I have a comparable Subaru SUV that we've been increasingly using for road trips and visits to national parks. You have such very cute personality and present so naturally that this really enlivens your videos - it makes your videos enjoyable to watch because you're very engaging. I look forward to viewing more of your informative vids! Thanks and cheers!
0:58 Backpackers and campers use those titanium cups, but add rubber tubing to the handles (cut them along their length and slide them on) and rubber ‘lips’ to the rims so that you can hold and drink from them respectively.
Impressive! Good job. I am wondering about the space commitment for the closet. There's no way to break up that space if you wanted to re-engineer your system. And everything in it is soft, squishable cubes. I'd almost think an oblong bin (or 2) like for the kitchen wares bin would create a more modular option. However, if the closet box has another purpose.. could be terrific. 25+ yrs car camping. Started in an Altima sedan with two 80 lb shepherds in 1998. Then wagons. Then the big change was getting a Runaway Cool camp. The a/c.. life changing. Most anything can tow it Happy camping.
The ottoman as a storage box is brilliant in its simplicity, and I just might implement its use too! I'm clumsy and an aggressive sleeper, so the corner of that would be much less unpleasant to regularly run into than something not cushioned!
Hi!I did car life for over two years. Great job at being organized. I was too! I never understood how ppl could have so much stuff & be disorganized. Disorganiztion drives me nuts 😅. It’s just much more peaceful to have a system and you e done a great job! I recommend that you keep the yeti but put the dry goods bag inside of it. It seems big enough to fit it😊
Fun video with some interesting ideas for organizing the RAV4. I have a new Toyota RAV4 Adventure model and developed a similar but more streamlined set-up with slightly different layout for my road trips. I’ve done 12 overnight sessions so far with my set-up, all of them quite restful and event-free. My RAV4 interior is a creamy white color with mocha-coffee leather-tex seating with orange dash accents. My Bed is in the same location as your bed but has custom-cut 3-part foam 7 inch mattress to compensate for the lack of fold-flat seat. It is a 3 part mattress so that I can stack cushions in very back if I need to lift rear seat up for temporary passengers. I just use the width of the right-side folding seat so that the left side seat can stay upright. Mattress is super comfortable with unzip-able machine-washable covers. I sleep with my head to the back with feet up towards the front seats. I didn’t want to use plywood that splinters in vehicle in the event of a major collision. Fridge cooler is an electric cooler (tall & narrow, 70 watts) that fits in footwell behind front seat and plugs into my dual plug AC & DC plug (or my 550 watt power station) in very back right side wall. The cooler is tall enough to act as foot support area. My 550 watt power station (with separate 240 watt briefcase solar panels) usually stays at the very back on left side, so that I can plug it in to recharge it while driving during the day. Front passenger seat is generally kept clear so that I can hang my 14” iPad on dash and turn the seat into comfy “home theater” area at night, or use it as a work area (with small folding table surface) during the day. I have custom-cut weather-tech window panels for all my windows, similar to your panels. I have a small fan which I clip to driver-side headrest which runs off the power station at the back. Also a wonderful 14” tall drum-shaped air purifier that runs at night and creates quite a flow of ventilation. I have similar window screens that you have. I have tall & narrow expandable 5 gallon water container that is kept in back seat floor area. My Thule 17 cu.ft roof top carrier (which opens on both sides) fits sleeping bag, custom foam pillow, instant-up gazelle gazebo, camp stove, kitchen gear, a smaller “decoy tent”, extra clothing, etc. I have a 2” Toyota OEM hitch receiver at back for future E-Bike carrier or simply tow up to 3,500 lb trailer, which is the tow rating of the RAV4 Adventure. Anyway, great to finally come across a video on RUclips showing how someone they SUV-camp and road-trip with their Gen-5 RAV4. At some point I’ll do a video tour of my RAV4 camp set and create a channel to post it on.
Yes! I love this! Not too much stuff, just the essentials! I’d return the cooler and get a console sized fridge and battery. I have these and they fit much better than a cooler. And obviously you can have cold food. You can recharge your battery whilst driving, and get a blanket solar panel. Just an idea for you, it what I did :)
Great video... Thanks. You may want to get an 'Air Horn.' These make for a serious defense tool. One loud blast will frighten any intruder, whether man or beast. Seriously. It'll also alert others, providing for safer travels.
The regret on your face both times you mentioned the yeti cooler was palpable! 😫 You have that all arranged so well. I like the platform you concocted for your bed, that worked out nicely to fit the kitchen supplies underneath.
Checked it out because I too have a Rav4 and plan on taking it out camping. 1 small fyi ~ pretty sure you have a stun gun instead of a taser. Major difference in use and cost. Than you for sharing your set-up. Very concise and informative.
Thank you for this! Considering a RAV4 and appreciate the info on the platform setup. I'd camped many years in a first generation Ford Escape and that worked out great with the flat rear cargo area. Nothing like being in a vehicle for protection from lightning, torrential rain, critters, etc.
That's a good idea with all the problems taking seats out. I rented an Astro van and took the mattress out of the spare bedroom bed and loaded it in the van along with the plywood that was between the box spring and mattress it was comfortable while my wife drove. I was rested up for my turn to drive. The seats in that van were perfectly flat. It's a shame Chevrolet quit making that van. I had the larger mini van. 73
The red paint on the pines looks ike Michigan. I lived there for 9 years tent camping May thru October and cabin living Nov- thru April each year. It ws the best time of my life. Familial commitments brought me back to Indiana. I love being near family but I absolutely hate living here.
I saw many setups for microvaning - you and yours are definitely teh most accurate and cute! Thank you and have a good luck and safe travel and happyness in this life!
Hi. Your video just entered my orbit just now! Your organization skills and how you pack everything is awesome!! I've been living full time in my class c for 1 year April-23. I just love this freedom. I've been thinking really hard about downsizing. I liked your content. Safe travels. Thanks for sharing. Toledo 💙
Hi Elisa-you know, watching this one reminds me of how I was looking at a Rav4 for my next potential vehichle. It was a toss up between that, a Hyundai Tuscon, Kia Sportage and the Nissan Rogue. The kia Sportage was my top choice but with the space that you have shown with your Rav4 you have caused me to take a 2nd look. Sometime in 2024 i will make the choice but it is close-thx for the inspiration.
Well timed vdo, Ive been going through all the sstuff I carry while Ive been house sitting for my daughter.. I have WAY to much stuff, especially for cooking.. Self defense.. take up knitting or pretend to and keep the needles handy, start using a hiking staff and tuck it beside the drivers seat. A bag of salt on the dash absorbs moisture and can be thrown in an attackers face, man or beast... I learned a long time ago about using Dawn dish detergent for clothes and my hair as well as dishes, the concentrate goes a long way and it doesnt have perfumes that attract mosquitoes or other pests like wasps.. conditioner and fabric softener use diluted vinegar.its also good to rinse/sanitize your dishes and clean your windows.... what are the hooks you used for the curtain pole? The "cooler" will also keep dry food dry if you dont need it as a cooler which could free up space from your food bag.
Hi, A good way to clean your pot, Pour an inch of cola or coke in the bottom and boil for a few Minuets and then clean, works for me on any burnt residue ? on the handle of your pot use A "heat shrink rubber" that an Electrician uses Hope this helps.
Very organized, Elise. So cute when throwing stuff into your carriage. Thanks for sharing. I'm getting close to finishing all your videos...🎥😃👍👌👊🙏❤️❤️❤️
Wow, we’re you watching me when I setup my RAV4. Our setup is so similar. Even the frying pan with a removable handle and the hating the medal coffee cup 😂.
Waooouhhh !!! Great the way you can pack it all up ! I'm planning to make a road trip with the same kind of car...Many ideas to get from You !! Thanks ! 🙏
I am planning a trip I may have to camp in my vehicle for and I just happen to have a rav4!! All I need is to organize my painting/jewelry tools & make room for my guitar … this is so perfect! Made me super excited to go for it! Thank you!
You'll be pretty comfortable in your RAV4. Of course there are day when it gets tiring so it's always good to take a break here and there. Good luck! 💕
That's pretty nice! I have a minivan and even though I say "I'm not taking too much stuff" I almost always end up taking too much. I also have the window covers from weathertech and they are awesome! Sadly right now it is way too hot to be camping in Texas.
I watched this and one of your videos. You it all together, live life like you want. I am 78+ and ready want to fix my truck/cap into a minimum build camper. I will watch more of your videos. Stay strong.
Very well thought out girl, simple no fuss yet very tidy, 2 things you might consider, 1/ a multi tool, a bit like foldable pliers/ grippy thingy with many other tools on it, been using one for years whilst motorcycle camping here in Europe, and I would never be without it, real handy for fixing things around the car, 2/ it’s an ‘L’ shaped bar step that fits into the shiny small bar that the door latch latches to ( just looks like a little bent bar) Banggood and Temu do them for a couple of bucks, would really help you reach the top box with ease (drops in, lifts out) thanks for sharing, stay safe. 😃👍
WOW! What a treat! I just sat down after dinner and flipped open my iPad to find you just posted up 30 minutes ago! Hey! You’re heading in my direction…Michigan..keep coming north? Come on up further I got a plush 5 star! Lol. I know kinda defeats the purpose of your channel. Seriously tho, glad you got away from the coast and heat! You have that car set up great! Nice job on the curtain rod too! Curious what you carry as far as first aid and road hazard equipment. For me, 2 military grade tourniquets, Stop Bleed, Benadryl, non-stick gauze, medical tape, and either Gorilla or regular duct tape are a MUST, and then of course regular normal stuff, Aleve, Tums, bandaids, etc. On my bike I carry a quick jump too and also a small powerful air compressor that can pump up a large truck tire, and a tire plug kit.All very very small stuff but so important! A couple reflective triangles to set up behind your vehicle and of course a small fire extinguisher! Just my tips and ideas! Need names of stuff HMU! Great vid! And Looking beautiful as usual! Stay safe ☮ Dingus
Thank you! Yes I have some fist aid supplies but not much , so far I’ve been staying pretty close to small towns but if I get too far into the woods I’ll definitely need to improve my setup
@@soloelisa Sounds good. The items I mentioned such as a tourniquet and stuff, can be used anywhere, at anytime. Chances are you may never need to use any of them, but, then…if you ever do and don’t have…. Take it from me as a retired police officer and motorcyclist, having a tourniquet and never needing it is waaaaay better than needing one and not having it. I have seen them literally save lives with car accidents to simple crazy accidents around the house. Years ago, a guy tripped in his living room and fell hands first into his large aquarium. One hand went through the glass cutting his radial artery. He was alone and managed to use a dish rag and tie it around his forearm just enough to slow the spurting blood until I got there. It doesn’t take much to learn how to use a tourniquet and where to apply them. Just a suggestion beautiful. Stuff like that, and “stop bleed” powder etc doesn’t take up much room. Like I say, I have this on my Harley! Hope you are well out there! ☮ Dingus
Wow, first time visitor, from UK, you are awesome, you have got everything in there, and what fantastic use of all of the little spaces. Happy camping.
About your coffee mug challenge, years ago I purchased a Snowpeak double wall Ti cup. They come in different sizes, are expensive and mine is still going strong close to a decade later. It is well worth it.
You are so enjoyable to watch and listen to. The electrical system on the new van is first rate. It's coming along very nicely. I would love to pack my apartment up into storage and do the exact same thing. I plan to go land shopping around the eastern seaboard and find a location to build a four garage storage complex for my travel gear and stuff. So need to drive around and find the spot. Sarasota is too built up and land is now priced out. Thinking a little cooler location. Ok loving your show.👍🙃
Totals and Snow Peak both make double walled versions of your cup. You could also try using a buff as a cup holder. You could also just buy a yeti or a thermos cup. They weigh more and are bigger, but not enough that I would think it matters for use in your car. You also need a moki door step to reach into your rooftop box easier. You should also get yourself a Thetford Porta Potti. It’s a nice setup you have built yourself.
I like how organized you are!! I could listen to you talk for days because of your accent!!!! I love it, so sweet!! Who ever the lucky man is that will get your total love better treat you like a goddess!!! You're so beautiful!!! Keep doing videos because I really enjoy them..
The roof carrier and clothes cubes are very good ideas. The cooler is useful all seasons even for groceries. Buy a frozen veg and you have an ice pack.
I only have two words this week. Organizational Ninja......... I'm impressed with how neat it looks given everything you showed
The trunk is a great idea! Much better than a bunch of plastic boxes.
Very efficient use of a nice vehicle! I think the color scheme is cool and classy as it is. And being inconspicuous is probably a great idea anyway.
Thank you so much!!! What a nice surprise 🥹💕

I like that you didn't need to modify the car at all. The bench storage is a nice idea for outdoor seating as well.
Best car camping setup I've seen so far!
Thank you!

Us apartment dwellers can take a lesson from you. Small apartments need organization too. Clutter affects my thinking. Well done.😊
I really love that you have everything so nicely stored, no clutter and clean. Safe travel. Blessings.

Ok, I am impressed! Beauty, brains, talent & organization skills! What more could a man possibly need!🔥
I’ve been doing this since November 5, 2020 (3 years now). I learned sone new things to organize my own car a Dodge Charger. Great video thanks! 👍
For starting the vehicle while in your sleeping bag you could have two sticks close. One for pushing the brake pedal and one for push button start.
GENIUS!!!

Hi Elisa! Can you give more details about how you set up the curtain? That’s such a great idea!

Wow! Everything has a perfect place! Good work!
The junk drawl..... my goodness, didn't miss a thing ! Home away from home. Job well done ma'am
Again.... super adorable lol 😊
Amazing. I would add usb fairy lights, battery jumper, and tire inflator. Camp on. Keep up the videos! 😊
She had battery jumper in rooftop box.

Super well organised, if she ever gets stuck for storage the back seats unbolted and stored free up a ton of space

Cant wait to see Michigan. Yup getting me a gazebo tent and black lights
Wow this was a pleasure to watch. My head usually hurts watching tours of people's set ups as they're so chaotic..this made me feel peaceful 😅
The regret on your face both times you mentioned the yeti cooler was palpable! 😫
You have that all arranged so well.
I absolutely love how organized everything is!
Thank you for sharing, especially the bed. I am getting older and to find myself living in my car again is not great, I also have a RAV4.
The red paint on the pines looks ike Michigan. I lived there for 9 years tent camping May thru October and cabin living Nov- thru April each year. It ws the best time of my life. Familial commitments brought me back to Indiana. I love being near family but I absolutely hate living here.
Wow very good use of space, very impressive.
Thanks for sharing you showed some great ideas. 😀
I saw many setups for microvaning - you and yours are definitely teh most accurate and cute! Thank you and have a good luck and safe travel and happyness in this life!
Wow! I love everything you got in your car shell/ wrack, wow, especially the outside tent! You are very organized thank you for sharing. :)
Hi. Your video just entered my orbit just now! Your organization skills and how you pack everything is awesome!! I've been living full time in my class c for 1 year April-23. I just love this freedom. I've been thinking really hard about downsizing. I liked your content. Safe travels. Thanks for sharing. Toledo 💙
So neat and clean, love it,but you are correct,a lovely colourful blanket will certainly make a big difference.
This is a great idea for my 3 day trip to Florida. I have a Rav4 as well. Thank you for the idea on how to set up the bed snd the curtains.
Great idea using the storage bench like that. And it could be used as outside seating if needed. Very organized!
I respect your resourcefulness and perseverance. Be safe. Michigan I knew it!
Amazing for your video of Full Car Camping & Living Setup, RAV4 Tour | Ep 09. I love your video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
I’m impressed beyond words. Great job. My first time in seeing your videos.
I have been looking for a rav 4 so i can car camp. I love your set up, it's neat and tidy. Well done.
Wow, yes, I agree with everyone, a perfect organizer and supplies🎉❤😊
It's Easter Sunday and I'm binge watching your videos from #1 to #26. I really enjoy our channel. I like that you number your videos.
You are very organized!
Thank you! All great advice!
Hi, A good way to clean your pot, Pour an inch of cola or coke in the bottom and boil for a few Minuets and then clean, works for me on any burnt residue ? on the handle of your pot use A "heat shrink rubber" that an Electrician uses Hope this helps.
Great job on organizing! Hopefully you can show us some of the sites in Michigan. Must be a big change weather wise. Be safe and have fun!😊
I love it, it is really organized😊 I have a Rav 4 to... and I needed some Ideas. To sleep on it... thank you
Very organized, Elise. So cute when throwing stuff into your carriage. Thanks for sharing. I'm getting close to finishing all your videos...🎥😃👍👌👊🙏❤️❤️❤️
I must say. I really enjoy watching your videos. You're very amusing and it is very impressive what you have achieved.
I enjoyed your video! Great job.
Wow, we’re you watching me when I setup my RAV4. Our setup is so similar. Even the frying pan with a removable handle and the hating the medal coffee cup 😂.
RAV4 twins?
Haha, yall should meet up❤
Waooouhhh !!!
Good luck! 💕
I really enjoy your videos and you are such a sweet and sensitive soul!
I have those same packing cubes,,, i love them mine came w a shoe bag and small laundry bag, great informative video
That's pretty nice! I have a minivan and even though I say "I'm not taking too much stuff" I almost always end up taking too much. I also have the window covers from weathertech and they are awesome! Sadly right now it is way too hot to be camping in Texas.
Thank you! This gave me a lot of ideas for stuff I still want to get for my setup, and what I thought I needed but would probably not use enough.
You forgot the AK47 😂😂😂😂
I love your organization and the essentials that you have. Love the gazebo!
Stay safe

Your's is similar to my Rav4 setup, only I keep a DC fridge on the seat behind the driver.
Nice set up. Very Zen and you have everything you need. Thank you ~
You are so enjoyable to watch and listen to.
Wow you are amazing lady😊 you are so organized and extremely smart. You thought of everything you need. I am very impressed 😊
This was very helpful! I'm getting ready to set out next week for the first time. I'm very excited! And a little nervous.
Nice clean setup!
Very efficient. You seem to have all the basics covered and you’ve provided for them.
I like how organized you are!! I could listen to you talk for days because of your accent!!!! I love it, so sweet!! Who ever the lucky man is that will get your total love better treat you like a goddess!!! You're so beautiful!!! Keep doing videos because I really enjoy them..
That’s very sweet. Thank you
A 100 watts solar panel, a 2kw battery pack and an induction cooktop will improve the convenience of having hot meals anytime. Nice video.
The roof carrier and clothes cubes are very good ideas. The cooler is useful all seasons even for groceries. Buy a frozen veg and you have an ice pack.
