Thank you for sharing this recipe! These look so yummy! It’s definitely impossible to find poi mochi donuts here on the mainland so I’m excited to try your recipe since it seems easy enough.
She could probably give a better answer but poi powder is the same as taro powder so that would probably be the easiest thing to look for in the store. I haven’t looked for taro powder before but I have seen ube powder before in the Asian grocery stores. I know ube is a sweet potato so it’s not the same as taro but I feel like they would give off similar tastes if you can’t find taro powder in store.

Thank you! Can't wait to make these and be reminded of Liliha Bakery!
Hello, What’s a substitute powder for poi powder?
Ohh I can’t wait to try this recipe…Where can I find poi powder? What brand did you use?

You can look up Taro Brand and order it online. I like using their poi powder 😉
Can you use fresh poi in this recipe if we can't find the powder?
I find it at Foodland. Just picked up a package the other day.
