    Thank you ,you have inspired me to make these delicious looking doughnuts I've bought the glutenous rice flour that is being delivered today so I'm making these for my son's and myself. I can't normally eat doughnuts but I can eat these being wheat free, I've subscribed as your recipes look delicious,I love in Wales in the UK and want to thank you for sharing your amazing recipes 🙏

    I am so happy you told me not to use the Mochiko brand. So I made these donuts and they turned out exactly like how you described them. I wish other videos told me this in the first place. I’ll definitely try the other kind you suggested next time I make them!

    Made it today and it turned out so good! Took such a short while to make too~ Ahhh thanks for the recipe!
    Btw the dough's texture is supposed to be similar to playdoh. Was kinda worried at first but when I fried it, it turned out awesome! And maybe another tip is to double the amount of cocoa/green tea to the dough to get a stronger flavour :D overall, awesome and a very easy recipe!

    Thanks for the recipe. I will try to replace milk and butter with coconut milk and casein free 'buttery' stick. Also, can we fry these donuts with an air fryer? If so, at what temperature and how long?

    This is really cool recipe. Thank you so much for giving us so many tips :) I am form Poland and I have my own culinary blog. Unfortunately it is really hard to find glutinous rice flour here. I could only buy online, but I want to give my subscribers recipe for donuts which doesnt require buying unavailable ingredients in my country. But... :) I actually realized that we have here some kind of rice meal (which is usually for kids). It is very sticky and well, I might try with it, even though is sounds super crazy :)
    Thanks a lot for sharing this recipe and fingers crossed with growing your channel! Keep up the good work

      Thank you so much for your amazing words! Please tell me how it goes with the rice meal, I would love to know if there are other ingredients people could use. By the way, your channel is so cool! Love the style! (even though I can't understand Polish). Thank you again for checking my video! Cheers!

    Thanks for the recipe! Looks amazing. Sounds yummy too if it's crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. Very keen to try this out :-D

      Modest Motley Try my video, try with coconut milk and tiny bit of water and it will not be dry. Also when you roll it have your hands damp with water.

    This is really cool! I've never thought to use glutinous rice flour before even though I use a lot of it to make dango and mochi all the time! I have celiac so I've been trying to get a good recipe for soft donuts for a long time. I'm gonna try this recipe sometime this week and see how it goes! Thank you so much for the recipe!

      I'm glad I could help you on your donut search! Please come back and tell me how it goes! Just a heads up that they don't keep that well. They're definetly best after cooling for a couple minutes!

    Could you substitute the milk/butter with soy milk or dairy-free alternatives, or would that change the texture too much? Celiac and dairy allergic, so I'd love to try to make these if I can. :) Very creative recipe.

  • @Momzie808

    Thank you for that bit of information on the rice flour, yeah I know there many kinds of rice flour and I've made some using other rice flours and it doesn't come out right. Thanks again!! I will have to try made this. Have you used a lower heat to fry them, like 200??

    • @ModestMotleyFood
      @ModestMotleyFood  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for checking out my video! I haven't tried frying them at a lower heat, but I think the results will be very similar at 350F. But you would be able to cook them more evenly. The only issue I see is that it might take a while to cook the whole batch since it would take longer for the oil to reach back to temp, when you add the dougnuts to fry. Tell me how it goes!

    I made your recipe!! It's really good, but I found mine really chewy (not rubbery!). I think I added too much rice flour,,, could this be the reason for it being too chewy? Or the size? I shaped mine into 1 inch balls

    • @TracyThuyTran
      @TracyThuyTran 6 лет назад

      Ayiana Romero well glutinous rice flour is the main ingredient for mochi, which is also very chewy so I think it’s just because of the flour itself, not anything you did.

    can I use glutinous rice powder

    • @ModestMotleyFood
      @ModestMotleyFood  8 лет назад

      Hmm I've never come across rice powder before. It sounds like it could be the same thing. Just make sure the flour is made from "sticky rice" and not normal rice, or else you're going to have a very dry donut!

    • @Ligaya318
      @Ligaya318 6 лет назад +2

      Non stick pan (or any pan you have available) on low heat and stir stir stir until you get the doughy consistency. Keep watching so you won't burn or overcoom it.
