It's great to see Peter having fun and doing something positive. Good on Rob for giving Peter a few minutes in the spotlight. "Peter Criss on the drums!" Rob is a cool cat.
You can see it in Peter's face how much that he loved being on stage with Rob Zombie and he was playing his heart out.I am a drummer and Peter was and is a big inspiration to me and why I took up playing the drums :-) He is still a great drummer keep rocking Peter.
Funny how the haters claim Pete can't play anymore. Did they n notice how Ginger lays back and plays the basic beat while Peter whips out a good solo for those eight bars? Oh wait, they probably didn't watch more than a minute of the fucking video and didn't get that far. Never mind. Jim, thanks for capturing this. Great angle and nice clear footage!
When did I say the words "smoke and explode"? Thank you for trying to troll everyone here, but it didn't work. Have a nice day - since it's still New Year's Day, it's not too late to resolve to engage your brain first before typing anything else in the future.
That was friggin' awesome! Thank you, Rob Zombie! That performance had me glued to the screen and smiling the whole time! That's a hell of a lot more than I can say of ANY current KISS line up show. Long live the REAL Catman, Peter Criss!
I grew up on the original line-up. This brought back a lot of memories for me air drumming to Double Platinum on my parents Hi-Fi stereo. He's in his 70's and battling cancer. I think he did damn good.
Who ever filmed this is the shit in my book. That was fuckin bad ass. I would say that was one of the coolest things I've watched from any KISS member in over a decade. Its great to see Peter can still play with the younger dude's. Loved it . thanks for showing
You know who's not going to get any credit for this video. The bass player. I'm going to give that guy a shout out. His backup vocals in the chorus were on point.
+Jeremy Fremont He was having fun! He wasn't in the recording studio. So what. He's in the hall of fame. Are you? RELAX life is too short. It was something different and cool. He was being respected by his peers in which he should be. All for fun.
It's just cool to see Peter playing with someone current & doing okay with fighting cancer at his age. No need or point to go into how good or bad or IF he should be with KISS. That's ALL point of veiw & don't change nothing. I enjoyed it ok. The VH1 Rock Honers with Rob & Ace was brutal! But this wz nice to see
To you non drummers: I have played for close to 30 years and know bad drumming. Peter Criss isn't technically good, but he was rock solid in those first five or six Kiss records. His lifestyle may have diminished his chops over the years, but honestly, he sounds great here.
Im a drummer and if you cant tell that the poor drummer behind him wasnt trying to adjust his timing to peters than you must be a fucking shocker to play with yourself..
Totally agree. Imo Eric Carr was their best drummer, tho Eric Singer is not far behind. Both are better technicly, way better. Have seen Criss play some of the 80ies songs and so, and frankly, he can hardly pull it off.
rubbish.. i dont care how skilled any drummer thinks he is or how many years anyones being playing.. if you cant keep time to a song as simple as god of thunder for eg. 2.15-2:16 then you've completely failed your first task.. dont get me wrong, I first picked up sticks playing along with peter.. but i was 10 years old, i felt by age 16 it was time to move on and learn to actually play rather than move my arms around and hit any old tom like peter
Scott Reed I'm sorry to say but id be very disappointed to hear whatever it is you say you've been playing for the last 30 years if you cant clearly see the poor guy in the back pause for a 16th to alter their tempo to match peter slowing down. Don't get me wrong i love the guy and everything he did as well as some of his old grooves.. but as a drummer he cant play for shit anymore, it wouldn't surprise me if they cut his mics right down to avoid a flam effect or worse, after all its not a hard song to play! Dunno if i'm the only one who can hear 2:17
People complaining about Ginger playing behind him.. C'mon. This was probably the gig of a lifetime to jam with one of your heroes. Peter looks healthy and happy. I'm glad to see it .
People, what's with all the hate? Are we all so small it makes us feel superior to bash people who actually did great things in their lives? Peter Criss inspired countless drummers, including myself, yes he's best days are behind him, but give him the respect he's due.
Of course Peter´s better days are long gone (never to return), but I am VERY happy for the recognition he´s getting lately as the true catman and for being a living legend. Kudos for Rob Zombie!! I don´t think Tommy Thayer will EVER get this warm reaction from a non-KISS crowd, no matter how much younger or healthier he is.
Jeremy Fremont I attended the KISS Kruise a few months ago; I will pay for the KK V in a week; I will fly to Santiago de Chile to see KISS live on April 14th (already got my ticket) AND got me a not-very-cheap Meet & Greet ticket for the Madrid show on June 22nd, so I guess I don´t have that much of a problem with the current line-up. But to say that "Tommy´s songs are just as great as Ace´s" is quite a stretch, my friend!! I mean "Parasite", "Shock me", "Dark light"... plus all the great ones he recorded on "Space invader".
Jeremy Fremont I think "Anomaly" was better than "Sonic boom" and "Space invader" is even better than "Anomaly" (and "Monster" better than "Sonic boom"). What songs am I referring to on "Space invader"? Well ALL OF THEM except "Reckless", "Starship" and (yes) the TERRIBLE cover of "The joker". Other than those 3 (the last 3 of the album, ironically), I think the album is great and fresh, with killer solos all over. But hey, that´s just my taste. I DO AGREE with you that Ace should play only HIS stuff when he hits the stage, but we all know his judgement is often hard to understand (not to say plain dumb sometimes), but I also find it sad when Tommy sings that he "will take me out of this world on a midnight rocket". I would be more than happy if Tommy recorded a solo album (like Ace, like Vinnie, like Bruce) where he could deliver his stuff with total freedom, out of the "spaceman character" BS. I would buy it. Yes, I would PAY for a phisical copy.
Jeremy Fremont a) Well, "Monster" sold HALF of "Sonic boom", which did not sell that much. Am I happy about it? Absoulety NOT (and I bought myself THREE different versions: the 3D one, the one with a bonus track and the Japaneses with a bonus disc) www.kissopolis.com/2013/01/monster-2012-us-saleschart-report.html b) Ace at least had a good start. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6236453/ace-frehley-space-invader-rock-charts c) I am not very good at math, but maybe both KISS and Ace would sell more records if ALL fans paid for them, but I guess it´s just the sign of the times...
Jeremy Fremont Yes, (almost) nobody sells millions these days, but I think I have the moral duty to pay for the job done by musicians I respect and admire. Besides, old cd´s can be found very cheap. Only a week into 2.015 and I have bought SMASHING PUMPKINS: "Adore" boxet (6 cd´s & 1 dvd) and "Monuments to an elegy". LIVE "The turn". MOBY "Play. the B sides" and "Ambient". LEONARD COHEN. "Dear Heather". MINISTRY "Houses of the molé". TRIGGER HIPPY "Trigger hippy". CALIFORNIA BREED "California breed". MONSTER MAGNET "Milking the stars" and KISS "You are the best because I say so" boxet (6 cd´s)...even though this one is a bootleg.
Jeremy Fremont Since English is not my mother tongue, I thought maybe I had made a mistake. However, two frieds, One from San Diego and one from Dublin just told me that "A week into 2.015" is perfectly correct. Which leads me to believe you are not as gifted and intelligent as I had thought all along.
I have seen both KISS and Rob Zombie in concert and while they are both unique, I'd have to say I prefer Rob Zombie. I like KISS but find Gene Simmons attitude a bit hard to take at times. He does seem like the kind of guy who wants things done his way or no way. I have met Rob an an Ozzfest in Vancouver years ago and he was totally down to earth and didn't seem to have a bad case of lead singer disease where he thinks he is the band. It was nice to see Peter Criss do what he loves to do best and I am glad that he has his life together.
The current lineup of KISS is currently using a backing track for their End of The Road Tour. Most pop acts couldn't perform live if you dared them. How is this worse? It's not. Give the man his props. He has paid his dues. Long live the Catman!
Alright! That was kickass! Peter Criss was the best drummer KISS ever had...that's for damn sure...and he proved it with the first 6 KISS studio albums. KISS peaked and blew the roof off Rock-n-Roll with the 3 albums ROCK-N-ROLL OVER, DESTROYER and LOVE GUN. If you don't know this shit, then you are seriously in need of mental meds...cause I can't help you.
ACCORDING TO ROB ZOMBIE! when Rob posted this on Facebook, he responded to comments & called fans cunts because they were bad mouthing Peter. He's nearly 70 and I can almost guarantee that most of us won't be able to do what Peter can after the life he has had. Go ahead call me names and dispute the facts. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
I know Ace was supposed to jam with Tom Morello at the HoF and didn't happen due to time hogging by the E-Street Band, but this is what Peter would have done if he had played at the HoF since the KISS Reunion performance didn't happen.

They were saving the fans image of what Peter once was.
Jeremy Fremont must be living in his mother's basement and spending every waking moment trying unsuccessfully to bash Ace and Peter. Sadly for him, trolling is not a paying career!
I loved when Rob called out all those idiots to pull out those stupid fuckin phones. Classic. The idiot that filmed this song probably filmed the whole show on his phone as well.
The problem is having the other drummer behind him. It sucks trying to sync up live with another drummer. It doesn't allow for a natural flow. That's why he didn't sound as good. If you invite a drummer onstage, let HIM play the damn song.
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons had a legit beef with the RRHOF, arguing that Ace Frehley and Peter Criss hadn't been with Kiss for decades, while Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer have been members much longer than Ace and Peter had been. Although I love the work Ace and Peter put into the phenomenon that is KISS, There are many others who contributed to the totality of the monster that is KISS. ALL of them should be recognized, not just those who were there in the beginning.
To me Peter Criss drumming style fits Kiss. It's not always about being technically the best. Band chemistry is very important. That's way Neal Peart would be a bad choice for AC/DC.
I'll just say this...If he could still play, he definitely couldn't Play another 12 songs for a full show, and even if he could, which he cant, he definitely wouldn't be able to do it night after night..
The end of the Road Kiss tour from 2019 to 2021 and for god sake don't let Peter Criss play the drums cuz his drumming has become so crappy and he is too old to tour anymore.
It's great to see Peter having fun and doing something positive. Good on Rob for giving Peter a few minutes in the spotlight. "Peter Criss on the drums!" Rob is a cool cat.
Kiss was my favorite band. Love this song. Rob does it justice. His voice was made for this
You can see it in Peter's face how much that he loved being on stage with Rob Zombie and he was playing his heart out.I am a drummer and Peter was and is a big inspiration to me and why I took up playing the drums :-) He is still a great drummer keep rocking Peter.

Peter's mics aren't even on. The only thing you are hearing is the other drummer playing
Except you couldn’t hear it. At all. 😊
My favorite drummer of all time!!!
That was friggin' awesome! Thank you, Rob Zombie! That performance had me glued to the screen and smiling the whole time! That's a hell of a lot more than I can say of ANY current KISS line up show. Long live the REAL Catman, Peter Criss!
Peter wasn't turned up much in the mains but I could see he was feeling it & it's damn cool to watch the Cat throw down with the Zombie!!
I grew up on the original line-up. This brought back a lot of memories for me air drumming to Double Platinum on my parents Hi-Fi stereo. He's in his 70's and battling cancer. I think he did damn good.
Way to go Rob.Peter is a good dude glad you have the right idea all true kiss fans will be pleased..thanks Rob.
Who ever filmed this is the shit in my book. That was fuckin bad ass. I would say that was one of the coolest things I've watched from any KISS member in over a decade. Its great to see Peter can still play with the younger dude's. Loved it . thanks for showing
God Bless you Peter Criss. :)
That is so frickin awesome!! I love his version of the lead part!
You know who's not going to get any credit for this video. The bass player. I'm going to give that guy a shout out. His backup vocals in the chorus were on point.
I LOVE you Peter! Ignore all the assholes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a great tribute to kisses song.hes got the voice and power.
That was very very cool.Peter Criss ..the best!!!
“Stupid fucking phones.” Love it.
Awesome. Couldn't imagine how cool it would to play alongside one of your idols.
Hes in his 70s and is recovering from cancer, cut him some slack he kept the beat
My point still stands that hes old, no need to be anal retentive
+Jeremy Fremont He was having fun! He wasn't in the recording studio. So what. He's in the hall of fame. Are you? RELAX life is too short. It was something different and cool. He was being respected by his peers in which he should be. All for fun.
youre a prime example of a waste of skin bones and life hes old and just having fun
But this wz nice to see
Peter Criss, you are the man. 👍👍👍1978 first concert,1983,1988 KISS Hell to the Yeah
So happy to see Peter playing a little bit again!
To you non drummers:

I love KISS... nice to see Peter Criss playing to a crowd.
They're are the best!😁👍
Awesome seeing Peter behind the drums !! \m/ \m/
He's almost 70 and he still rocks, bad ass in my book
Great rendition done by Rob Zombie..love it!
Long live the " CATMAN ".!!!!!!!!

Good and solid.Peter did great! He was into it!Had fun. Can't go wrong with loud and heavy!
Rock bands rarely have four great musicians so it doesn't matter that Peter isn't Neil Peart, he fit in perfect for the
kiss sound.
I am not a "Peter" only fan. So take this for what it is...Peter looks good here. He looks like he's having a good time.
The current lineup of KISS is currently using a backing track for their End of The Road Tour. Most pop acts couldn't perform live if you dared them. How is this worse? It's not. Give the man his props. He has paid his dues. Long live the Catman!
I do remember this!!!!!
4:20 God thats so good
AWESOME JAM!
OMG !!!! Thanks !!
Alright! That was kickass! Peter Criss was the best drummer KISS ever had...that's for damn sure...and he proved it with the first 6 KISS studio albums. Jeremy Fremont You again? Don't you ever quit? lol
Eric Carr was a more powerful and talented drummer. But Peter fits that era of KISS. Love them both. Rest in peace Eric
I wish Peter well. It IS obvious WHY he is NOT in KISS any longer, However….good to see him Looking healthy and TRYING!!
Ginger is awesomely humble here :) great!!!
You can tell that Peter was enjoying himself.
Rob zombie understands everything
This is fucking incredible!!
Zombie & Criss - what's not to LOVE about this shit?!
Words can not describe how much I fucking love this.
Peter kicked a** on that song!!!!
I love Rob Zombie.
PETER!!!!
For a man in his 60s that was great
Really classy of Rob. Would love for Ace to join
Peter Criss
IsraelDecoy
ACCORDING TO ROB ZOMBIE! when Rob posted this on Facebook, he responded to comments & called fans cunts because they were bad mouthing Peter. Jeremy Fremont Peter brought his drums with him. it was last minute. You don't think Peter still plays drums at home?
peter is lucky he had Rob's drummer helping him out he needed it.
Peter is the best !!!!!!
peter ....the best
Should have just let Peter play, the other guy messed things up.
love it.
The one & only "The Man" for KISS
Peter is so happy
Well now that was really fucking cool.
Zombie rocking that fuckin shit. U rock dude.
So Damn Kool.
Peters drum break at 4:05 ...
Drums mics weren't even up.
I love the fact the lead guitarist followed Ace's lead solo here. You can do too much in a lead solo and Ace made this solo simple. And that is how it should have been.
"The lead guitarist" are you referring to THE John 5?!
@@mattbroughton750 The guitarist doing the solo.
John5 is a huge kiss and particularly Ace Frehley fan so you would expect him to nail the solo
John 5 is a class act and on a level all his own .
This is as fast as Peter goes nowadays.
I love Peter Criss. He brought you guys KISS along with the other 3 members. He also influenced some drummers that you would not see today. How can you say he can't play anymore?? One, you can't even hear him!! Obviously he's muted. Two, you can tell he was tearing it up!! Three, the guy is a legend. You're not. Quit bashing the guy. He's nearly 70 and I can almost guarantee that most of us won't be able to do what Peter can after the life he has had. Go ahead call me names and dispute the facts. I know Ace was supposed to jam with Tom Morello at the HoF and didn't happen due to time hogging by the E-Street Band, but this is what Peter would have done if he had played at the HoF since the KISS Reunion performance didn't happen.
4:06 makes it all worth it right there! A little hard to hear, but he's there and he looks bad ass!! And again at 5:45 to the end!
one thing i hate is why always the double drummers its Peter Criss man let him drum on his own!
Exactly, a novice can see it. I witnessed it during the Reunion Tour, his ability was basically non existent then, it was sad. Forward wind to this performance 15+ years later and it's even worse. Why does he even want to get on stage anymore, it just detracts from how awesome he was at the height of his career. No wonder Paul and Gene didn't want to play the R&R Induction. They were saving the fans image of what Peter once was.
Listening to this daily will more than double your testosterone
Jeremy Fremont must be living in his mother's basement and spending every waking moment trying unsuccessfully to bash Ace and Peter. Sadly for him, trolling is not a paying career!
Peter Great 4 on floor drumming!!!
I loved when Rob called out all those idiots to pull out those stupid fuckin phones. Classic. The idiot that filmed this song probably filmed the whole show on his phone as well.
And your the idiot that just went to youtube and watched. Hahahah.
Jim Powers shut up show some respect to people
+SCOWLER DARKS - I got your respect right down there
+SCOWLER DARKS Thank you sir. Give him hell.
+Dutch Dude, you are seeing God of Thunder with Peter Criss thanks to one of this people who you call idiots... that makes you hypocrite or idiotX2
John 5, the Catman!!
shoulda let peter play with them without the other drummer.
He couldn't
You mean THE drummer.
Me encanta Peter Criss the Best
The problem is having the other drummer behind him. It sucks trying to sync up live with another drummer. It doesn't allow for a natural flow. That's why he didn't sound as good. If you invite a drummer onstage, let HIM play the damn song.
Ace ans Peter need to tour together
Rob Zombie, you lucky bastard! You got to play this song with both Peter and Ace!?!??
Thank god the soundman turned Peters mics off!!
There is only one Catman - and it ain't Eric Singer!
Rob Zombie totally lucky that he performed with Ace and Peter (Ace performed with the Superband that included Rob)
To me Peter Criss drumming style fits Kiss. It's not always about being technically the best. Band chemistry is very important. That's way Neal Peart would be a bad choice for AC/DC.
Peter Criss has SOUL. Ace has the Groove and KISS ain't nothing but a sorry cover band without them.
Pete was smacking em pretty good. Some drumming juice still left in that tank.
i think ginger fish was playing real well in the back there.
HOLY SHIT !!!
Why didn't they just let Peter play solo with Rob Zombie? Why did Rob's drummer continue to play. He should have given the complete honor to Peter.
The fact that he needs another drummer up there says enough. Kiss of deth ain't going anywhere.
I'll just say this...If he could still play, he definitely couldn't Play another 12 songs for a full show, and even if he could, which he cant, he definitely wouldn't be able to do it night after night..
I dont get the point that of the guy in the back behind peter playing games too
Pretty sure they cut poor Peter out of the mix later in the song. haha
Why 2 drummers?
There will be a KISS REUNION TOIR. WITH ACE, PETER, PAUL, GENE
The end of the Road Kiss tour from 2019 to 2021 and for god sake don't let Peter Criss play the drums cuz his drumming has become so crappy and he is too old to tour anymore.
