Man... nothing like the originals. The moment the curtain dropped at the reunion tour, half the women fainted and half the dudes were crying. What band gets that kind of response anymore??? Watch Peter on the unplugged show... so much joy and excited like a child. Changed the mood for the whole show. I know Eric and Replica Spaceman #2 are good musicians, but they just don't elicit the same kind of response from the fans. The current lineup is cheered. The originals are revered. There's a difference.
2:09-2:56 At first you can see him all overwhelmed, and in 2:52, at the end, you can really feel the goosebumps his getting outta all that audience! Truly beautiful...
If you want to rate Peter Criss, listen to his early solos in Alive and Alive II You can't expect an old man to perform any better than that. I would like to see Tommy Lee at age 50 see if he could play the same as Shout at the Devil concert.
I recently watched a video of Peter Criss sharing some Drumming skills to a few fans. A couple were younger and a couple were much older. Made me weep, happy tears. My Dad was a 'Skins' man; he recently passed and I inherited his 'Kit'. 🥁 🎶
I remember when Kiss's first album came out. Groups like LED zeppelin, rush, Black sabbath, Blue oyster cult is what we listen to. Kiss was considered bubble gum music, and with that drum solo, nothing's changed. Their music was popular with the nerds back then. Most garage bands sounded better than them. But they were known to put on one heck of a show 🤘🔥
You know what constitutes a great drum solo? A full arena that hangs onto every beat. Was Peter a great technical drummer? No, there are many better than him. But there are few that can match his ability to hold an audience in the palm of his hand! And, how many drummers put drum companies on the world stage? Very few.
Love Pete, but let's be realistic--he wasn't the best drummer the band ever had (Eric Carr). In terms of chemistry, however, you can't beat the original 4.
Eric Walker I prefer Peter, I wish Eric Carr was still in the band, Eric Singer is the most technically talented but he’s not as creative as Eric C and Peter.
Dind it does hand ship op just came to say hello to someone admit drake duple o k is mirror dinner pretty please dont cry. If monsieur doesn't silence awfully bizarre dind is not
It's funny, you can see the videos online. Peter couldn't compose a drum solo of his own. Yet another feather in the hat of Gene for him to brag about smh. I'll say it over and over...Peter was only "influencial because of the band he was in. His solos were never anything more than 8th note repetitive single-strokes monotony with a flanger thrown own so people don't fall asleep immediately. If not for DDRUM triggers his drumming in 1996-on would've been inaudible.
@@cjaquilino Ahhh, thanks for clearing that up. Jey, does it matter at all that The guys in The band complain that hé is a shitty drummer? Or is that part of The show? Is that an either or decision for every band or can you put on a show and be good. Thanks for clearing up The fact that Peter Criss is really awesome, my 35 years of drumming was no help there.

I Love the Fact that Eric Singer has performed with Alice Cooper 💀🖤🤘
Underrated drummer, he's great
That is the Kiss i want to see
Love the ‘thick’ tribal sound. Very cool, Pete

Peter's drumming is what made KISS who they are. The others, though good drummers in their own ways, were drummers in a tribute band.
love him !!! my all time favorite DRUMMER !!!
BGJ 66 Totally agree! For me he's the best drummer that Kiss ever had (including Eric Carr, both were truly amazing drummers!🐈🦊)
AWSOME SOLO !!!!!PETER THE GREAT!!!!!!!
Best drum solo long live the catman
I'm reading his autobiography right now. I'm loving it! I've been a fan since 2000!

Neal Peart was older and still good. But that said, what do people expect from a Peter Criss solo, Buddy Guy? It’s pure entertainment.
peter roxx! nice! and a great guy too.! much love

The video is on RUclips;
Former Kiss Drummer Peter Criss Gives Drum Lessons. Most definitely worth the 10+ minutes.
I love this. Go Pete, go Pete, go Pete GO! This is the only Kiss I will accept, the rest are immitations and a cover band.
Maureen Wagg I love the original Line Up but Eric Carr was a fantastic Drummer I would put him up close with Peter but not to take his spot
totally agree on that。。。。i very much likes peter's style
Criss!!! Long live the catman!!
RESPECT, to that comment.
Very well played 👏👏👏
I was there, great concert.
Gotta love peter !
Peter is peter criss
El mejor.
alright Peter yeah
I prefer this more then a 10 min blast beat solo

The catman !
He was sober and on his game. Paul decided to not renew his contract a few years later to save money.
There's a clip of Paul bashing Peter.. he was barely touching the drums blah, blah karma's a bitch Paul 😂😂😂😂
Only one CATMAN PETER CRISS.
The Cat Man is the best!!!
Its Not Peter
Yes it is Peter you doofus.
the crazy cat lady
You call that a drum solo? at the end it is shit, that's why it was needed to get him removed, he done his own thing.
Dind it does hand ship op just came to say hello to someone admit drake duple o k is mirror dinner pretty please dont cry. If monsieur doesn't silence awfully bizarre dind is not
The end finally
seems like they had to rush god of thunder, fucking curfews.

Sucks balls. Bring on the Late Great Eric Carr. Or the Current Eric Singer Anyday !!!!!!
their solos sucked balls
Richard C Autorina Peters solo here did not suck.
thomas Day I know you’re just mad that he said Peters solo sucked but don’t go saying Eric C & Eric S solos sucked.
Give me one example of Eric Singer copying Peter's drum solo. Year/tour/venue?
James Kurker he has done Peters 100,000 years solo before but that’s what he’s paid to do, play the catman
thats a drum solo? lmfao !! peewee herman is more impressive on a fisher price kids set !!!
Banging garbage cans. Sad
Even though Peter was a pretty good drummer especially back in the 70s, but Eric Carr was way better when he played!
Eric, was good and may he RIP. BUT in all fairness he was mostly just speed..peter has more Rhythm 2 is playing without a doubt

That was 80 measures of triplets and crowd milking, I could teach a 12 year old this solo in two days.
Bo Hensley and that makes you feel good?
Do you understand KISS?
@@cjaquilino Clearly I am not advanced enough.
Bo Hensley They’re about showmanship over technical mastery of instruments, virtuosity, and, musical excellence.

The way he's swatting cymbals, he's definitely a cat
