kiss is mostly hard rock but this song and a few others could be considered metal. scott ian is not a poser he just believes in putting on a good show. this video is awesome! all the guys in this supergroup are awesome
the 7 dislikes are from Gene Simmons,Paul Stanley,Peter Criss,Tommy Thayer,Eric Singer,Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick....way way better than the original
Wow this is awesome, no offense to Rob Zombie, I like him a lot.....I'm just going to say, this is one of the rare time's I've seen live footage of Rob not out of breath. comments on the performance................................WOW
I like Ace, I like rock, but all over I like the Musica. Thanks por all the metal/rock band in the world.... Sorry for my english... I´m Tarzán.. Charly House, come from Berazategui, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
They get all this star power together, but because they were playing "God of Thunder" Ace magically appeared because it's not a Kiss guitar solo unless he's playing it! (Ya here that Tommy?)
Kiss influenced every rock band on this planet in one way or an other...Helloween,Pearl Jam,Lenny Kravitz,Pretty Maids,Hammerfall,The Donnas,Pantera,Skid Row,Motley Crue,Twisted Sister,White Zombie,Guns & Roses, Stryper,Megadeath,Metallica,Godsmack,Anthrax,Death Angel,Nirvana...You can name them all!!!
It's funny that without Kiss the thrash metal scene would be really different or maybe just would not exist. Same for the corpse paint among black metal artists and enjoyers. Kiss influenced Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Mortification, Deicide, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Watain, Dissection, Evildead, Death, Bloodbath, Demolition Hammer, Morbid Saint... and it is a little funny.
You can also look at the bands that opened for them... Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, WASP, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Guns'n'Roses, Bon Jovi, Rammstein...
Ace Frehley is not by any means the most technically gifted guitarist ever, like a Slash as seen here. But by god Ace sure as HELL plays with more soul, groove, and sense of fun than anyone I have ever heard. In the 70's kids like Slash and Scott Ian picked up there instuments after hearing Ace play "Let Me Go, Rock n' Roll" on Alive!, because his guitar style will never be repaced. Ace is a TRUE inspiration, the kind of guitarist that'll make you wanna tap your feet and snap your fingers.
@Herpsteen They played it when I saw them a few weeks back at the venue previously known as Nissan Pavilion in Northern Virginia. Complete with Gene spitting blood and flying into the rafters
Wanna do something fun? Watch this video of Tommy Lee's drumming; then, watch Peter Criss drumming the same song live during the Farewell Tour in 2000. Lee would be better with no arms than Criss with 4. Oh, good to see Ace sober for a change. Good thing he had the world's best guitarist to cover up his mistakes.
Rob Zombie killed it. Fucking amazing. Imagine if these guys did a record together and toured. Holy shit
Rob Zombie + Ace frehley + slash + Tommy lee + scott Ian + Gilby Clarke + playing God of Thunder= Masterpiece
Seeing Ace and Slash together playing.... Priceless man priceless!
I love collaborations like this. Look at the energy and how much fun they're having

Superband needs to either go on tour or release a CD with some covers of rock's greatest songs.

They were already named by Jamie Kennedy, "Gods of Thunder" not Superband.. kick ass song for sure!

KISS NEEDS(x1000) to bring this song back to the set list. "I love it Loud" doesn't match Gene's personality like "God of Thunder"
