Such a magical performance this was! You could cut the energy on stage with a knife! I remember seeing this when it aired live and was so blown away and it still blows me away today!
these just can't be real... such great musicians in one stage? Slash, Gilby Clarke, and Ace Frehley blowing your ears with powerful guitars it's just crazy!!
What I have always loved about this video is how they are all into playing the song. Tommy Lee and Scott Ian look like they are going to explode. The Nickelback performance with Ace where they play Highway to Hell is another great video. Everyone, like this one, is into the song. They aren't going through the motions.
I just love Rob Zombie's comment at the beggining! KISS is the greatest supergroup to ever walk this earth. If I ever met any of them, I would bow down and repeatedly say 'I am not worthy! I am not worthy!'
@dacrazyboyz78 actually you're right but Ace wasn't in kiss at the time this was made - 2006 (since 2002) - so its almost like flipping-off Gene and the "impostor" Ace, Tommy...
"What i need is the....Greatest super group that ever was on the face on the earth and in order to do that i need one more guitar player, i need a man who is from out space and that man is mister Ace Frehley!"....10$ prease :3
I think that 3rd guitarist is Gilbert Clarke. The other 2 are obviously Slash and Ace Frehley, and yes Scott Ian is indeed playing the bass. Rob Zombie on vocals and Tommy Lee on the drums.
Yes he does but if you will notice that is Gene Simmons actual bass guitar that he played that night. (very distinctive design...different from the others) Gene lent it to him to play that night. Ian did an interview afterwards where he eluded to such.
@Funkdogg It's call they're all stars.Ever heard the Band Shandi's Addiction on the Kiss My Ass tribute album?I'm not sure who's in the band aside from Maynard James Keenan doing vocals. It was a one shot deal and they did a killer version of Calling Dr.Love.Rob Zombie does have a great voice for this song though.
I need the greatest super group that ever walked the face of the earth! and in order to do that I need one more guitar player! I need the Cowboy From Hell!! Mister Dimebag Darrell!!!
Scott Ian w/ the axe bass = priceless!
