- Welcome to the channel everyone, if you're new here my name's Jake and in this episode, I get a call to salvage and repair a 25 ton Grove all terrain crane that had been sitting in the same spot for over 5 years, when they started it and tried to drive, it became stuck in the waterlogged clay. Along with being bogged the LMI was water damaged not allowing the crane to have its full range of functions.

I enjoyed the videos and wanted to let you know Matty's work shop sent me.
Hey mate thanks for checking the channel out! Hope you enjoy
Loved the "turn it off its lunchtime" from your old man haha. Good work getting that big lump out of the mud mate. That clay can be a nightmare, seems to create a suction around the tyres.
Haha he’d been working hard😂 definitly had a lot of suction on those tires!
Honestly laughed so hard at your dad Jake😂😂 turn it off it’s lunch time! And better switch it off so I can swear🤣🤙🏻 I do miss my old job working for a grab truck company, getting to play with all the big toys in the yard😎 well done on getting the crane out the mud, looked really bogged down. I really rate those little kubota engines, bomb proof little buggers, easy to swap out when they grenade themselves too😂 great video as always Jake😁 keep’em comin mate🤙🏻
Hey mate sorry for the late reply! Been super busy lately, dads funny I want him in them more often everyone would love him😂 you guys love your grab trucks we don’t have anything like that here.
It sure was stuck it took a fair bit of work to get it out, as always thanks for watching mate I really appreciate the support!
Jake what about the four wheel buggy on top of the sea container
You need to take that home as well 😂😂
Something a bit different and interesting
Good eye! It’s actually an 8 wheeler I think! I’m going to try to get it and bring it home as it would be a fun little project so I’ll see how I go it would make a good video for you guys to watch aswell.
Thanks for watching
Good job! It was common on the RT528C to get the cable on backward if the operator scope out 100% and tried lower the hooks to the ground with 4 parts of rope. Change to 3 parts and good to go. Find the out rigger pads ! And all ways put cribbing under them when in dirt. I had 22 years Grove mechanic
Thanks mate good to get some first hand knowledge cause I really don’t know a great deal about them! I’d say that’s what has happened so I’ll sort that out when I go back, and I do have the pads I just need to fix the clamps that hold them on. Thanks for the great advice!
@@dieseldownunder. those clamp suck. I like the style that were half moon and sat flat . Try to down the load charts. And watch " Crane Gang videos " for a laugh.
Mate best yet. Old school with father info. Love it. ))))) grease ha hehe. Yes dash only scale. Don't know if scale can stop the switch in the control unit. ?
For the power plant yes please allways need a back up. 👍 best . Mate young man doing a fantastic job. Appreciate your work. .

And allways thumps up at start of video.
For me being in the out back of wa north in aboriginal community. Thinking out of the box. Is normal to me. What you do I have done before.
But in your eyes allways learning. And people learn to.
Sharing is fantastic. Take care mate. Wait to see old girl done and working. . Mick

Cheers

Good video Jake. There are treasure's amongst the crap.😂
There sure is not much is junk to me😂
Great video, great watching you guys troubleshoot to a solution
Boy that’s a good size crane. All it took to get it out was a little perseverance. You’re halfway to getting it back to working. Little Kubota fired up good like you said who knows how long it sat there. Different video enjoyed it. I’ve got the feeling you work on whatever needs fixing that’s a good thing! Have a good one till next time
Yep it was a good challenge getting it out of there! 1 more day on it and it would be in pretty good working order, that’s it I’ll work on almost anything. Thanks for watching!
Wow, Just a day in the life of Jake and Dad, hook the land cruiser up and yank it out with your yankum rope🤣
Keep up the great work.
Looking forward to more of the adventures you guys get up to.
