What I love most about this film is that it captures what is being lost in the art of marriage. As someone who has been married for over 23years, what you learn is marriage is lived in the dull and mundane moments of life, and if you can master love in those moments, you are on to one of the secrets of marriage.
Who else was waiting for things go bad? The disagreements, fights, separation.... And was glad it did not happen? The music seems appropriate for a "while it was good" mood 😅
Maybe because that’s what social media likes to tell us is normal, when it’s not! Fights are normal, hard times are normal, giving up shouldn’t be. The world likes to tell us if we don’t feel 100% fulfilled and full of dopamine at all times we have a right to leave, when in reality marriage is so much more than just feelings. It’s a great commitment to sticking through the crap.
I was worried about clicking this video thinking it would be one of the usual "haha my partner sucks am I right?" kind of videos... I'm glad this was not the case! This brings back some memories in a great way for me, thanks for sharing.
This positive video made me emotional and so did the comments. Sometimes you get so caught up in things, you forget to stop and smell te roses. Just appreciate the simple stuff and moments you can have with each other. That is what makes a marriage a marriage. Thank you for this reminder.
Well that was refreshing. I was bracing for a sarcastic commentary. And instead I’m almost moved to tears. This felt like a warm hug and a reminder to tell my wife I love her. Just for no reason. Thank you. ❤
Wholesome to the max! So glad you made this. Do another one in a few years. My wife and I are about to hit year eight: three children, two miscarriages, several moves, and lots of lessons learned. It’s a wild ride that looks totally ordinary but is the most fulfilling pursuit of anything we could do with our lives. Many congrats and enjoy the journey.
I love how you used the Up theme song. The shot of the shoes leaving in the hall really reminds me of when Elle put the tie on Carl throughout the years. God bless
Absolutely loved this video! My favourite shots were definitely the ones of you guys looking at the mess left on the ground and then the little face of like, "dang it." And the shot where your wife calls you for dinner - that framing is so nice!
This video makes me so happy. This video shows a true married couple, we're just really in love and we want to be around each other for the ordinary bits of life. Thanks a lot for this wonderful video.
That was really sweet. It shows how married people can be individuals and a team at the same time. I think that's one of the most important things in a marriage. When children come along, it's vital to the success of a marriage to put extra energy into making sure you continue do these things.
Sweet video guys. My husband and I had this only for about a year until baby #1 came. 10 years later, we have 4 and this existence seems like another lifetime. But when all my kids have spouses of their own and are living in their own little places, it'll be me and the old man again. I absolutely LOVE my children, but I'm looking forward to having that back again ♥️
Welll. They may all move back home for five years to pay off school loans and cars, then move back during Covid 17 months, then help seventeen days after surgery this year, then stay overnite regularly to take their dad to ballgames, or visit their sister and her kids. Ummm we only had fourteen and a half months and I thought the same thing after three kids. It’s fine, companionship, but at 42 years, nothing like that young love… so don’t wish this fun time away raising kids.
Beautiful! Even got a little teary-eyed. We are a very tight knit couple and can really relate to this. It's wonderful to see couples still in love with each other no matter how long they've been married. Well done.

In recent years, the institution of marriage seems to be losing its popularity among many people. However, despite this trend, it is heartwarming to witness young couples still expressing great enthusiasm and happiness in tying the knot. It is a beautiful thing to see them embracing the joy in spending their lives together.
This is beautiful. Happy for you guys. Too many people fall into the trap of thinking comfort like this means there is something wrong. Too many people think if it's not forever the honeymoon phase, it's not true love, and will run off to try to find greener grasses over and over. What you have there is true love. Cherish it.
Exactly when the media and the whole world want to show a negative picture of marriage and show only their responsibilities and … you did a great job, man. That’s what many need to see , the actual truth of marriage❤
So sweet! I’ve been married 33 years. I’m glad to see a young couple who sees marriage as a joy and not a burden. Being married is such a joy and blessing in my life. My husband and I have been together through some dark days, but so many more light filled days. ❤
@Matt Byrne I wanted you to know that I just love your film; in fact I have now watched it quite a few times. Your portrayal of “Married Life” is full of the kindness, acceptance and having fun together that all marriages should have. I also appreciated the fact that you both share all the “chores” that make up a modern marriage. So, while this is technically a “short”, it is long in wisdom (that many have, unfortunately, forgotten - or never learned in the first place!) Thanks for making it - you brought a sense of comfort to this 71 year-old’s heart. Btw, I have also watched - and equally enjoyed - your films on the Bread Machine and the RV adventure. All the best and keep making movies!
Me and my husband got married just under a month ago, we’ve been dating and living together for 6 years already, but this video beautifully captures our day to day life! Especially the faces that are made at the laundry on the floor and the bathroom sink! We make those together everyday! ❤️
Nothing from the other world, this feature is simply showing two people living together (into a very special, but common bonding known as marriage) to get through... The only difference? They are cooperating... now, in the beginning. Let's hope they continue unchanged the whole trip... until the end. Greetings to all of those that are into a nice couple, even with new family members since you had grown, and you do everything to keep it up the best way always, because you love and respect each other so much! Sincerely Angel T Novelo Barrera
Ahh married life before kids, aka newlywed stage. Enjoy every moment of it! So cool to see how much having kids enhances and transforms marriage. It’s like fulfilling your purpose as a human. Indescribable. Beautiful video! Reminds me to be kind to the man I chose and the man who chose ME ❤❤
I was terrified of marriage as our society always shits on it. My wife is my best friend, and after 13 years, I couldn’t imagine a day without her. Marriage and children saved my life and brought me the deepest joy and meaning I’ve ever known.
Great video I love to see people make the simple things the most important things. Praying before we eat, being kind to each other, saying where you are going because you know they care.
A sweet, happy couple that are happy together, even with the daily routines. Life is good, thanks for a fun film. I liked it and it felt good to watch. People strive to find someone they love this much and are so in tune and comfortable with each other❤
That was incredibly sweet. This is what i hope for with marriage. I appreciate you including the frustrations (the makeup on the counter and the clothes on the floor being examples of frustrations that come up a lot in marriage) but you highlight the blessings. Really sweet video and well made!
At almost 28 years of age, I've never experienced a lasting relationship. This video summarizes what I've longed for throughout all these years. Always felt ashamed that I strive for almost nothing except this. I wish I'd find my special someone soon. I cannot wait any longer.

I think that part Takes a few more years to come to the big Screen. 😉 Maybe they already start writing the Script. 🤰🏼
We have 4 children. Apart from there being less time to exercise and a lot more noise in the house, the video is still pretty accurate. :)
I wasn't going to say it
Not everyone has to have kids though
@@sl3848 I agree!
1:36 Thank you for including praying together.
Couples who pray together, stay together ❤ nothing better than Christ centered marriages
Married life without kids is entertainment)
Positivity on the whole marriage concept. I see buddies supporting each other around the clock. I love this movie.
Exactly when the media and the whole world want to show a negative picture of marriage and show only their responsibilities and … you did a great job, man. That’s what many need to see , the actual truth of marriage❤
May it always be that way.
As this is why I love being married. Sure there are some stressful times as no couple is perfect, but if you’ve chosen right, it makes it all worth it
that was SO wholesome 🥹 absolutely loved it
So, while this is technically a “short”, it is long in wisdom (that many have, unfortunately, forgotten - or never learned in the first place!)
Thanks for making it - you brought a sense of comfort to this 71 year-old’s heart.
Great video
I love to see people make the simple things the most important things. Praying before we eat, being kind to each other, saying where you are going because you know they care.
I enjoyed watching this short and I didn't feel the time passed. The point is that they're doing most things together. I admire this harmony ❤
I love this- finally another person who also has their alarm with the minute on a prime number, thank you for setting your alarm on 7:31!!
This is the most amazing adaptation of that song ever! The realness really sells it. Makes me look forward to marriage.
I love that they prayed together.
Broo the sensibility of the scenes are absolutely amazing, I love it
A sweet, happy couple that are happy together, even with the daily routines. Life is good, thanks for a fun film. I liked it and it felt good to watch. People strive to find someone they love this much and are so in tune and comfortable with each other❤
Love that you prayed together before eating ❤❤❤
Great video.
My wife and I are 32 years married, and I still love praying with my wife, serving her, and sharing the daily aspects of life.
That was incredibly sweet. This is what i hope for with marriage. I appreciate you including the frustrations (the makeup on the counter and the clothes on the floor being examples of frustrations that come up a lot in marriage) but you highlight the blessings. Really sweet video and well made!
At the end of the day, her head resting on your shoulder; one of the most meaningful moment for a man
At almost 28 years of age, I've never experienced a lasting relationship.
This video summarizes what I've longed for throughout all these years.
Always felt ashamed that I strive for almost nothing except this.
I wish I'd find my special someone soon.
I cannot wait any longer.
your marriage partner is like your lifetime comfort friend ❤
This was such a great watch. Well done❤
Finally a short film without any intentional or unintentional ambiguity that tries too hard to be extraordinarily meaningful or, even worse, intellectual. 👍👍👍
You kept this short film as we should keep our marriages - simple.
Kudos! 🎉
The best video I have ever watched! ❤ guys… listen… the best thing is fr this: married life
This video is literally: goals. I wish you both the best 🫶
