But by the fifth month of studying, my brain started signaling that it’s all taking too long and feels boring, and the results seem so far away. The way you start your day is literally a 90% indication of how your day is gonna go. I’ve laid awake in bed before my alarm went off, sometimes quite depressed with bad thoughts, but as soon as I hopped out of bed and took a cold shower, my day became amazing. Whereas the days when I listened to those depressive thoughts and skipped my alarm, those days ended up horrible. Harnessing all your energy and willpower to JUST own that ONE moment you know you should get up and GO, can change everything.

    such an amazing short film. It's really inspiring, thank you very much! I'm sure many understand my situation, I know how bad scrolling is both for my mental and physical health, but I am addicted. It's that simple. Like a substance or alcohol or sugar. You can get addicted. But thanks to you and your amazing inspiring videos, I can put the phone down and live in the moment. Thank you Anna, I love you very much!!!❤️❤️❤️

    This short film motivated me I struggle with depression some days I feel motivated and determined to accomplish my goals and some days I feel unmotivated fill with doubt but what I had to realize is even when I dont want to even get out my bed to start my day I encourage myself to do it and instead of me trying to put alot on myself when it come to accomplishing life goals I choose to take on small tasks to accomplish so that I will not feel overwhelm I realize when I do this I feel uplifted motivated to keep going to keep moving forward staying positive minded that everything will work out for the best. I am glad that I came across this youtube video today was one of those days where I felt overwhelm this video just encourage and motivated me . Amen.

    I'm so glad I'm now less of the personality on the right. I try to wake up early every morning, and I've made a mandatory rule for myself not to browse through my phone for atleast the first hour. Eating healthier, moving my body every single day even if it's just for 15 minutes, are small habits that add up to bigger benefits eventually. ❤ Thank you for the inspiration, helps all of us keep going! 😻

    One personal trainer said that if you want to wait for motivation to do things you will only accomplish your goals on those days when you actually feel motivated, which is not ideal. It does help me to stop overthinking and get up and do stuff instead of sinking into my feelings or thoughts about it. Also, what helps me often is to say to myself "I don't fee like doing this but I'm going to do this regardless of my feelings". I know we are all different and different things help different people. Just wanted to share what helps me.

    This is very true. It doesn’t matter if you wasted one day like this. But I’ve spent more than hundred days like this. I was at university and I was going to all lectures and everything, but when I came home, I needed a break from everyone and university so I played games, watched showes etc. I started being so careless for university, it is actually unbelievable. No wonder I lost my friends. I said I have time, I’ll do it later… But let me tell you one fact. You don’t have later. Do it right now when you already have time. I switched universities cuz I thought I didn’t deserve to repeat the year how bad I was. Honestly I don’t know what I’m doing with my life and what my goals are. I do have dreams, but I have no motivation to chase them. I also realised I made a very bad mistake. I was fixing everyone, but myself. I gave everyone love, except myself. And that is the worst thing ever. I am going through depressing episode right now, cuz of everything. I am so sorry for venting, but I just wanted to make an advice for all people who need it. You need yourself the most! And don’t listen to other people, listen to what you really want!

    It's not always about motivation or choice, I understand what you're trying to portrait here but I have ADHD and I don't chose to spend hours procrastinating. I try to force myself to focus but it's not that easy, even if I'm not on my phone and I sit in front of my pc to get work done, my brain just won't let me focus doesn't matter how much I want to.

    • @Jaci4k
      @Jaci4k 3 дня назад +1

      I feel you. In the end it's just not all about willpower, it's about neurochemical reactions and if they can lead to a successful transmission of stimuli. When I try to get out of bed, and my adhd brain REALLY won't let me, like in a neuroscientific proven way, because of my neurochemical imbalance compared to a neurotypical brain, - this just sucks. so hard. BUT I have trick up my sleeve for situations like this. When I know that I am in such a "freeze"-like situation, even if I can't stand up, I can think "well, but eventually, you will need to go get out of bed". And then I count down from 10, or from 3, depends on the severity of the situation. And then I stand up. - And THAT'S ~pure determination~ if your body, even if your brain doesn't want you to succeed, you can do it!

    Let me start by saying I enjoyed this short film & I believe it's an honest perspective. And, I honestly wish this was motivating for a mind like mine, but unfortunately it isn't. It's a truthful viewpoint, however, and there are also people outside of this target group who have ADHD and/or depression and/or overwhelm, like myself; I often start as the girl on the left but end like the one on the right. I know theoretically what I should be doing, but oftentimes negative self talk will have me overthink, or, a certain task seems so daunting that avoidance just seems the better option. I sometimes start great, but like a dog that sees a squirrel, my attn goes into so many directions at the drop of a dime; I may start a task but don't finish. There are so many variables but not a cookie cutter approach. I truly wish it were this simple for a divergent, depressed, negative mindset 😅 like so many who may come across this vid. With all honesty, there are so many YT gurus with great advice, it's just doesn't always work for everyone's situation; it's never foolproof.

    • @embaggins
      @embaggins 10 дней назад +3

      agree tbh, this video is good and i totally understand what she's trying to portray - it will absolutely work for some people. but unfortunately it's definitely more in line with neurotypical people, and not necessarily those with depression/anxiety/adhd etc
      alas it's kinda impossible to make something that caters to everyone, and she's done a great job with portraying the things that work for her - plus it will def work for many others too, so at least there is that 😌

    Amazing video Anna!! I have been in a rut for about two months. I have been doing less than the bare minimum every day and I feel the stress on my body. I don’t eat breakfast I skip lunch and then binge at dinner. At night I haven’t been washing my face and maybe brush my teeth but in the morning I take a shower and do my skin care and come to work fresh and looking put together but with no breakfast or lunch. Sometimes I forget a jacket on purpose because I feel like I deserve to be cold walking from my car into work. I don’t like these feelings and feeling like I am destroying myself. I have a great job I just got a new promotion I’ve always wanted in July so I don’t know why I am declining in taking care of myself. I am a clean freak but I don’t have the want to clean my spaces and then I don’t feel like washing my face cause my bathroom is dirty. I don’t know how to get out of this cycle. Tonight I created a night routine on a super cute piece of paper with designs and cute stuff and I printed it out and laminated it I hope it helps me has anyone else felt this way?

    • @Kaymitlit
      @Kaymitlit 13 дней назад

      Maybe try to clean one tiny thing at the time and then the motivation will build up. For your coat maybe put it directly in the car and try to journal why you could have the want to « punish » yourself by getting in the cold maybe because you know you can do better and you are not happy about that ? Hope this help wishing you the best ✌🏾💖
