It's a real American Made Product it's a great car that I just brought myself. It has so much to offer in a very comfortable smooth riding automobile that have real working features. Before you buy another auto take a test drive of the 2017 it's great. The only thing it need a little more power in sound system at least 400 watts RMS. But my plans to put in a sub bass 200 watts in the car but the sound system is very clean in sound now. I gave up a 2014 Camaro SS Convertible for this car and I don't feel sorry about that at all. Joe Dunmore
fusion layout .all wheel drive is what they're calling it,but the layout is fwd honestly. I'm leaning towards the Cadillacs CT6 because it's rear wheel drive and all wheel drive with rear steering.
I feel the same way I ended up getting lucky i went to the dealership to check out the 2014 mkz but when I got there it was sold but the just got in a 2018 mkz with the new grill for the same price
It really amazes me that a five minute report on a major TV station about a one single car.. And not once did the show the car from it's side or rear.. Not even properly showing the interior.. However.. They did manage to show the rear of some other car.. Because matters more than the car they're talking about ! It's really funny how TV channels with billions in their budget are stacking behind RUclips channels.
+66skate I'm talking about TV stations not RUclips.. I know I can find other videos online.. I'm talking about someone watching this on TV for five minutes, having no idea what the car really looks like.
Frontal aspect is at odds with the rear aspect. Round lines terminating in angular, cut off rear end.. IMO, the rear should have been more in keeping with the very attractive front with styling similar to a Mercedes S class 550 4matic....
I'm sorry but to me, Lincoln just is lost exterior design- wise. Cadillac just kicks their ass. I have bought Lincoln. I owned a '96 Mark 8 but I would go Caddy now.
+thuglifezeem716 you're crazy if you think this thing will sell for the same price as the 3 series. Honestly, people that buy a 3 series bmw are really only paying for the bmw name. overall, the 3 series are a pretty weak car when discussing luxury models. This car will cost more and it isn't designed to compete with the weak ass 3 series. The lincoln mkz is the competition for the 3 series, not the continental. This car is for business peeps to get cruised around in.
So Cadillac and Lincoln release a 3.0 TT v6 awd with 400hp , its virtually the same powertrain .. .. The only difference is the Cadillac also has All wheel steering ...........
Wht pisses me off is the fact that such a expensive luxury vehicle that Lincoln claims to be 1 still cuts cost on interior finish....there is plenty cheap chromed plastic everywhere that just looks like it doesnt belong 2 My 2015 Mkz has been at the service departament atleast 4 times already because something always pealing or falling off
+theylied1776 Not going to happen....it wouldn't work well in a crowded society for a mainstream vechicle. Maybe for a niche vehicle wouldn't be bad but the MKZ is their bread and butter and sells more than any other Lincoln vehicle.
right you just said it....Bentley and Rolls Royce....both of those are uber high luxury vehicles...something you're not going to see parked on the street or in a driveway in Mainstreet USA....they wouldn't work in parking lots, shopping malls, etc. Worked in the 60s when there were less people and they were super expensive then...costing almost as much as a Rolls Royce..
LaQuan Miller Bentley and Rolls Royce are the flagship brands for Volkswagen. And the BMW i3, which has suicide doors, is everywhere? The Mini Clubman, The Toyota FJ Cruiser, the new Ford F-150, Nissan Titan all have suicide doors? These vehicles are parked on the streets and in the driveways in Mainstreet USA. And they're not even close to costing the same as a Rolls or Bentley. Your reasoning is a little weak, because designing a suicide door is no more cost prohibitive than a regular door.
My father worked for GM for 26 years it's very expensive and cost prohibitive to design a suicide door for just one model. The MKZ is on the Fusion Platform and not its own so that means the doors would have to be retooled just for Lincoln. Not going to happen. Again BMW i3 is not really a mainstream vehicle that sells 30+ thousand per year. Its a hybrid electric vehicle which is considered a niche vehicle. BMW's main bread and butter are their 3 series and 5 series. Even their 7 series doesn't have suicide doors. I like suicide doors as well don't get me wrong but they're not practical for the masses and thats not what the clientele that Lincoln currently serves or wants to attract desire. You have a better chance of RWD than suicide doors which is what some luxury buyer prefers. Plus their new biggest market will be China much like Buick so they will do what the Chinese want.....suicide doors have gone the way of the Dodo bird.
U guys r hella confused bout the power of the car....How can a 400hp 2turbo be slow? The power delivery is different in comparison to for example a Nissan GTR is wht the Indian guy is trying to say....The car wasn't made to compete in the same class as gtr or other "sport" cars!!! This is a Luxury vehicle that has plenty power but mostly top end power and not of the line power all tho Im sure its got plenty of that too if ur in a hurry to replace ur brand new tires.
Let's see a real luxury car. 5.0L V8, RWD, room for 5 adults, quiet, large trunk, serviceable.. Can also make the v8 available with a proper transmission... a 6 speed manual!.. Volvo smooth, super duty strong. A drivers car. A BMW slayer. Guess I'll just have to buy a Town Car and drop in a Coyote and 6spd... perfect car then
Nice, but not the "most powerful" Lincoln ever. 1958 had 400 h.p. and 490 ft/lbs torque as an option. No question this is better, but he's the head of the division...a little respect.
If it were RWD slam dunk, right now? Eyyy. I like it, but FWD/AWD is a huge disappointment. I was hoping for a RWD revival first with this and later with a new crown Vic.
no it's not a lot compared to everything else that's out there in that range it should have been five hundred and I would have bought that car now I'm going to have to go and get something else
3l turbo engine for car, maybe, but please don't make people haul and tow with these engines. What sense does it make? There is much more reason in smaller hi torque diesel if you want smaller fuel cheaper supplement.
Lord ,where do I start. Ford still hasn't figured out the eco boost turbochargers failures , and the front of this car is just stolen from the Jaguar lineup of cars. Ford needs to really regroup and get all of the old farts out of the development process.
and lincoln drop the Indian spokesperson..there's plenty of unemployed GOOD LOOKING people (of normal stature, height and BARITONE voice available) enough with the minority, weak assed, "nobody" looking, overall weak people who are not white... key lesson here being that two wrongs don't make a right...
The Lincoln with the suicide doors, and the Mark III are very nice highly sought after vehicles. Although not a Lincoln, the 2003 - 2004 Mercury Marauder prices are going through the roof.
I can't agree with that. My father owned several Town Car's from 1990 to a 1999 Town Car. There were three of them and they were all very dependable and enjoyable vehicles. Their biggest shortcoming was that they were like driving a waterbed. But that's what made them successful. That's what Americans wanted. And towards the late 90's when they redesigned the Town Car in 1998, it became improved in ride and handling, especially with the advent of traction control. But I will say the reliability was good on all of them. During that time Cadillac was building crap. They performed better than Lincoln's, but that was nothing new. During that time if you asked 10 Lincoln owners, 9 of them were totally satisfied. But Cadillac was riddled with many problems, one of the largest being that they were front wheel drive, and it just seemed the front ends didn't hold up appropriately. Cadillac had success with the Northstar engine, but my brother had a '97 Deville with that engine and it needed a tune-up desperately at 85K and it cost $1,250 because they had to take the top of the engine off to get to the spark plugs, that fee was predominately labor. Not only that the Northstar was supposed to not need a tune-up until 100K.

400hp isn't enough??
Beautiful car PERIOD!!!! I happened to own 2015 linonln Mkz and love that thing and this 1 is no doubt a pleasant upgrade frm that!!!
fusion layout .all wheel drive is what they're calling it,but the layout is fwd honestly. I'm leaning towards the Cadillacs CT6 because it's rear wheel drive and all wheel drive with rear steering.
I hated the old Lincoln grills and was the sole reason I never bought one. I love the new look.
I feel the same way I ended up getting lucky i went to the dealership to check out the 2014 mkz but when I got there it was sold but the just got in a 2018 mkz with the new grill for the same price
Talking hands.... :) I like this Lincoln, but also the last year model as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong; but ,what this man said is that even though this car has 400hp is slow because that's what costumers want?

It's really funny how TV channels with billions in their budget are stacking behind RUclips channels.
There are probably 50 videos on this car and most of them show the back and interior in full detail.
+66skate I'm talking about TV stations not RUclips.. I know I can find other videos online..
I'm talking about someone watching this on TV for five minutes, having no idea what the car really looks like.
Bring back fox news car report.

nice car someday I will have one on my garage.
Is this car 3l twin turbo and the Continental is 2.7 twin turbo ???
Amazing, a video of a new Lincoln sedan and all we see is the front end and a little peek inside... what a disappointment from someone like Fox
jaguar called. ..they want their front end back
+weirdshibainu All companies copy eachother. Audi was the first with LED lights, now even Kia's have them, haha.
The 1st led lights were on the deville in 2000.
+Mike it's apart of designing it's funny how when a ford company hits a home run ppl always find a way to down it
montanatru I'm not hating -
I'm sorry but to me, Lincoln just is lost exterior design- wise. Cadillac just kicks their ass. I have bought Lincoln. I owned a '96 Mark 8 but I would go Caddy now.
Also I'm hoping this is cheaper than a bmw 3 series keep the price the same and this thing will be huge
Yes sir!
it better...the back wasnt even updated

'new' front end is a DUD. have seen them on street. looks like buick mixed with old daewoo.
Please do not hold your punches, this is America we just don't want a ride we want an adventure.
If you want to impress me, bring back the suicide doors.
+theylied1776 Not going to happen....it wouldn't work well in a crowded society for a mainstream vechicle. Maybe for a niche vehicle wouldn't be bad but the MKZ is their bread and butter and sells more than any other Lincoln vehicle.

A lot of car for $43k. That's the same as a Toyota 4-runner.
+Bill White 35k for the Tesla Model 3 though...I'd go with that.
Mike
Mmmm....200 mile range would not cut it where I live.

Bye bye bmw 3 series lol
Just bought me one going on two weeks of owning it and I couldn't have chosen any better
FAIL! That crap!! could and will never be a REAL LINCOLN!
Lord ,where do I start. Ford still hasn't figured out the eco boost turbochargers failures , and the front of this car is just stolen from the Jaguar lineup of cars. Ford needs to really regroup and get all of the old farts out of the development process.
that double bow was awful ! and the price as way to high .

what are you saying? you sound so ignorant
Lmao he's the PRESIDENT
something wrong with your head. This guy has earned his spot at the Top post in Lincoln
Lincoln has not made a good car since the 1950's!
The Lincoln with the suicide doors, and the Mark III are very nice highly sought after vehicles. Although not a Lincoln, the 2003 - 2004 Mercury Marauder prices are going through the roof.
