I really like the new grills of the new Lincoln sedans this year. The large one-piece grills with all that chrome now fit in more with Lincoln's classic image, more luxurious looking and elegant looking, instead of trying to be modern and sporty looking.
I think Ford's new grille design across the board was one of the best things they could have done because those two wing shaped grilles made all of their vehicles hideous.
This car is sexy AF. It's one of the most striking luxury cars around right now. I'd take this over most entry level German or Asian stuff. Also, were you disappointing you had to take it back? I'm pretty sure it beat that mini van x1000 you had in the driveway
Jacob Burrows what ? Mercedes Audi and BMW are (TRUE) LUXURY cars, Lincoln is a rebadged Ford, not saying this as making Cady Infiniti Lincoln Acura Lexus look bad
Looks great with black on black. This car is just as nice looking as the Continental, this car gets better gas mileage which the Continental gets about the same as my Town Car. The MKZ is a very popular car which I see more of these than the Continental where I live. I think if I buy one I'll get one in black with black interior which has the nicer wood trim. Thank you for sharing.
It's a shame Lincoln doesn't make these vehicles anymore. Would have been nice to see a rwd bias version with their new and improved motors like in the Aviator. Perhaps cars will become more popular especially considering suv's and trucks have become overly expensive for what you get. These vehicles were awd too making these vehicles handle exceptionally well in inclement weather. Non the less Lincoln did a great job designing this vehicle and it's a great value for anyone looking for a great comfortable riding car on the used car market ✌🏽🇺🇲
Looks great. Only complaint is that the back end of the car would look so much with a couple of solid blocks as a back light instead of a continous bar of ugliness. The only car that could integrate a light bar on the entire width of the car without looking like ass was the 2011 Saab 95 Aero.
Hey I'm considering renting this exact car for a trip to vegas. I plan on going around Nevada too and want to know if the you had to pay extra for navigation? Do they disable it or something so they can charge you for it?
Things I love: Power of twin-turbo, exterior design crushes anything in this class, low price, you can get it loaded in, before taxes, with discount, for under $45k, on paper, very comparable to a Mercedes E43 for $25k less, but better looking outside, power trunk Things I hate: Interior is a dog turd, half a step behind the others in this class and an eternity behind a new Mercedes, six speed sucks, too heavy, new grille is cheap and cheezy, its a Lincoln, so third-rate dealer network and almost no brand cache Verdict: A great value if you can overlook some glaring shortcomings. A solid buy if it had an 8-speed. You will love and hate this car. Lincoln is almost there with this car.
+ThatGamingMustang Yeah, you're right. Not complaining about the back but since they refreshed it, it would've been nice for the vehicle to have a back end redesign as well y'know? Imo I love the front end. It looks so classy & beautiful all together!
Lincoln gave me a 2016 for the weekend and I requested the more powerful engine. It's a super smooth car with plenty of tech, but I couldn't get past the LCD finger print magnet, small gauge cluster and IMO, small side view mirrors. Also I feel that Lincoln isn't appealing to the younger demographic. I still see it as a "senior citizen" brand no matter how many McConaughey commercials they do.
I'm new to Lincoln / Ford cars and all the newer ones that i have seen and heard recently the engine sounds like that. Does "that" loud, kinda rattling sound of the engine go away? Its not a deal breaker as i have a Black 2017 MKZ hopefully being built as we speak :-) Ordered it about a month ago and cant wait to receive it
Thanks for the reply. That was very informative. I thought it just because one or all of the belts are new and the sound would possibly go away once they wore down, lol. I don't kno or pay much attention to engine stuff so this does help. Would u kno much about the Revel System? Like do both the 14 and the 20 speakers have the 3 speakers on each door, with the top tweeter having the circle cover? Or better yet, do u kno the speaker placement for both? Thanks again man
was kinda bummed out that my car didnt have navigation on it already thought it was standard on 2017 mkz, i was trying to use the app navigation but wouldnt connect anyone know what i can do to get navi on the screen kinda annoying
Beautiful car but I still don't like the backup camera on newer cars. I've hit curbs backing up and according to the view on the camera I didn't seem close but the window was located so high you couldn't simply turn around and look out. Just a creature of habit.
I really like this car and considered buying it until I saw a "feature" that is a deal breaker. At 10:42, Why does the powered-trunk lid close like that? It comes down about halfway and just drops like a rock, clunk..bounce. Make sure no fingers are in the way, or you might get the nickname Four-finger Fred. ROTFL Or worst, no-finger Larry. They should take a look at how a 2004 Lexus RX330 SUV close/open its huge and heavy trunk door. Why is this such a big deal to me? Same reason they have a trunk release inside the trunk. LOL
I still think the interior look very similar to a Ford Fusion! Different on the out side which I like Ford Fusion on the inside. I already own a Fusion!
Ford Fusion have no style though, they get lost in the see of cars that look the same on the road. The MKZ is on the opposite spectrum, being sexy af, and one of the most striking looking vehicles. Every time an MKZ is anywhere, it gets looks from everyone, especially the newer ones and or washed and waxed. Platform != same car. This is a entry luxury sedan, Lexus ES fighter. The Ford Fusion is a economy family car lol.
i'm sorry...my family are huge Lincoln buyers, but this interior is not luxurious to me. Its actually a step down from the the last iteration of the MKZ. Its not even to par to the other vehicles in its class outside its refresh.
I tend to be a Cadillac partisan, but this is easily the best MKZ ever, Opinions are subjective, sure, but I have no idea how you could say the past interiors in this model were more luxurious. The older ones were slightly restyled Fusions with rubbery, absurdly large buttons and goofy ergonomics because Lincoln was trying to recapture their 1960s styling as a renaissance move.
+SurelyYewJest The CTS blows this thing out of the water. Even the new Fusion Platinum has a nicer interior than this. The only car of note that Lincoln makes is the new Continental. Everything else is just Ford with a fancy badge.
Um, the CTS bare-bones base is about the same price of this fully loaded. Compare this to the Lexus ES, which is at a similar price point. I'd pick the MKZ.
The MkZ is based on Fusion's platform. I believe they're even made in the same assembly plant, but am not 100% sure. However, the MkZ is supposed to be a lot more luxurious than the Fusion. I think it looks very nice.
Basically, just like how the Town Car was a clone of the Crown Victoria and the Mercury Grand Marquis (not sure how to write that) All car companies do that, even the chevy HHR and the PT cruiser.
same platform and transmisions, some engines too. built on the same platform but obviously the exterior and some interior is upgraded for luxury customers
How the hell is this a Ford Fusion clone? Platform != same car. FFS. The fit, finish and style alone should tell you this. Fusion is a entry level family car, the MKZ is a entry level luxury sedan, ES fighter. Some people's children...
The exterior and interior is everything. Marketing is everything. The cars are not the same, the platform meme needs to die already. I've rode in both, there is no comparison, the only people who say that are Fusion (or similar) owners who couldn't afford something like a brand new MKZ.
Basically it's ford fusion a more luxurious version of it though even though I have 2019 ford fusion titanium hybrid I think it's pretty luxurious in itself
I don't know why they slapped a continental face on this car. they should have refreshed the whole exterior. it also makes the continental seem less special.
Fuck, I'm in love. This is most beautiful car I've seen. I'd still get Panamera if money wasn't an object but damn. MKZ looks amazing.
Miguel Angel Medina Rise Trust me there’s nicer cars out there
But it’s still a nice car
The grill reminds me of a Jaguar. A beautiful, and elegant car.
Ford at one point if not still owns Jaguar and or range rover whatever one the new Explorer resembles
I personally love the rear. I know it’s all subjective but I don’t see why so many people dislike it
Good job bro. Beautiful vehicle. So happy to see Lincoln making a strong come back. American Made.
I really like the new grills of the new Lincoln sedans this year. The large one-piece grills with all that chrome now fit in more with Lincoln's classic image, more luxurious looking and elegant looking, instead of trying to be modern and sporty looking.
Really stepped up their game! Glad someone learnt the lessons from 08!
FINALLY! Lincoln presents a spectacular looking vehicle for 2017! I Luv it!
I think Ford's new grille design across the board was one of the best things they could have done because those two wing shaped grilles made all of their vehicles hideous.
DUDE, THE ENTIRE FRONT END STILL DOMINATES all luxury cars.....it is MEAN.
They finally got it right 😍
This car is sexy AF. It's one of the most striking luxury cars around right now. I'd take this over most entry level German or Asian stuff. Also, were you disappointing you had to take it back? I'm pretty sure it beat that mini van x1000 you had in the driveway
Id take one of these over a merc bmw audi or caddy
Jacob Burrows what ? Mercedes Audi and BMW are (TRUE) LUXURY cars, Lincoln is a rebadged Ford, not saying this as making Cady Infiniti Lincoln Acura Lexus look bad
Mercs Audis and BMWs are unreliable as hell and when they break they're expensive as shit
Jacob Burrows
Jaguar > Every other luxurious car.
Jacob Burrows it even Looks Like a Audi a4 in the Front. and how can you say german Cars Like a merc or something Like that are unreliable?
They're too high tech, over complicated. Way too expensive to maintain.
Beautiful car and excellent review sir .. you nailed it well .. will be following
Looks great with black on black. This car is just as nice looking as the Continental, this car gets better gas mileage which the Continental gets about the same as my Town Car. Haven't seen this one yet...Nice review! Keep them coming!
Yeah, I'm glad we were able to get it as our rental! Thanks for watching!
bro hahah hopefully you review one of these :D
I had no idea this got a redo 😭😂. Glad to see you're back.
Neither did I until we rented this. Lol. It's great to be back man! Thanks for watching!
FINALLY!!! Damn that looks good, very sexy.
Looks much better! Maybe Lincoln will actually sell some this go around
I agree! The old design was very "meh" IMO. Thanks for watching bud!
Great review. I learned more from this video then some of the others ive seen in here. Kudos !!
If you show when dark the Lincoln welcome mat could be seen at both front doors which is projected from the mirror housing when mirrors are folded.
I just bought a 2018 Lincoln MKZ Select....and it's gorgeous.....
Picking up a 2017 mkz select this weekend. I’m stoked!
I thought the quality was great man, keep up the good vids!
This is useful, since I might rent an MKZ instead of taking my car on a 3-day out-of-town road trip this fall.
That's one slick MKZ. Nice video B.T.W.
This guy is wearing Sandals with Socks, driving a Lincoln... that's America for you.
And why should that offend me? Actually, that reminds me of a European type of style. Like when I lived in Germany years ago.
Jonathan Edwards True 😂😂
@@tekis0 its typical hipster crap

Very nice demo! Waiting for mine, hopefully ready this week. First time owner
I have seen this car in a lighter color, and it looks much better than the black. The lighter color shows off it lines better.
Welcome back!
Thanks Dave!
Wow nice vid and car!
Idk what's with all of these people, in my opinion long backlights that connect look really modern and fresh
Looks like a spaceship in my opinion
Great review! Even when you loose the flip flop ✌🏼️
Insane look car, nice review!
Thanks!
The MKZ I bought has heated steering wheel, also at night when you unlock the car it displays the logo.
Best car ever, I just love my LincolnMKZ!!
That looks awesome!
It really does! It was nice to have it for the week!
All auto-hold does is let you take your foot of the brake while at a stop light, it will keep your brake lights illuminated until you press the gas.
Beautiful. I like this car A Lot. I want one

Aye I’m new to cars but are the new Lincoln’s reliable? Also what kind of gas they take?
Hey I'm considering renting this exact car for a trip to vegas. I plan on going around Nevada too and want to know if the you had to pay extra for navigation? Do they disable it or something so they can charge you for it?

2.0 engine.. single turbo
well done mainnn !
Why they not redesign the back end?
The back end already looks phenomenal, but the front end in the earlier models of the mkz's didn't fit very well
+ThatGamingMustang Yeah, you're right. Not complaining about the back but since they refreshed it, it would've been nice for the vehicle to have a back end redesign as well y'know? Imo I love the front end. It looks so classy & beautiful all together!
The back end is fuckin cool though. It harkins back to late 80s American car industrial design, which is p. cool IMO>
Carlos Flores what do you mean?😮?
Carlos Flores they did has some other things my mom has one
you don’t have the revel sound system usually they have a silver Grill with 20 speakers
Nice looking ride
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Nice review my man
This one doesn't have 20-speakers, because it clearly isn't the Revel speakers.
Lincoln gave me a 2016 for the weekend and I requested the more powerful engine. I would take this any day over the Chrysler 200
Beautiful Lincoln
For sure! Much improved over the last generation!
this car reminds me of the AUDI A7 ... however Lincoln is trying with there design on all there cars so ... 👍👍 .. cool review ...
Best thing is used they are only about a grand more than a titanium. That's with a v6. Definitely worth the tiny bit of extra dough for what you get
Nice review! What's the price for the 2.0T?
Nice Review.....beautiful car by the way....
What are the repair costs on the 2.0 hybrid. Is this the same engine that is in a Fusion?
I'm new to Lincoln / Ford cars and all the newer ones that i have seen and heard recently the engine sounds like that. Does "that" loud, kinda rattling sound of the engine go away? Nice review!
How can you completely redesign the front and leave the rear the same? Just seems half assed to me.
I want it looks fucking nice
Gorgeous
was kinda bummed out that my car didnt have navigation on it already thought it was standard on 2017 mkz, i was trying to use the app navigation but wouldnt connect anyone know what i can do to get navi on the screen kinda annoying
Is the tone due to the car door being open?
Beautiful car but I still don't like the backup camera on newer cars. I've hit curbs backing up and according to the view on the camera I didn't seem close but the window was located so high you couldn't simply turn around and look out. Just a creature of habit.

I'm gonna buy this beast

wow. how much did you pay for that? i want to buy me one.
Does it have android auto/ Apple car play??
ALDI in the USA?
What rental car company is this from?
beautiful car
Is the warranty 50k bumper to bumper?
Really nice car, but I’m not sure I like the “button gear shifter.” May have to stick to Cadillac.
Looks good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got a proved for one at my local carlot 26 k . Drive off today 725$ a month what y'all think ?
Sounds like a high interest rate, especially if the loan is over 4yrs.
Lincoln/ford are the best
That's debatable lol
No the hell they are not lol this car does look nice though.
+1uhot426 it's just my opinion
how much does this car cost? the one you rented?
probably under $40k....as it didn't have the upgraded turbo 6 or all the features so this is basic especially if from a rental car agency
And that slick panoramic moonroof. Lexus is copying it all of a sudden.
What a beautiful looking car that
makes you lose one foot’s flip-flops and walk barefoot!
A nicely done review, but incomplete. How does the car DRIVE? That is the most important part of an automobile review, yet it wasn't part of this one.
Does anyone know if this car has the same backseat legroom as the Fusion?
Moore roomier. Who the hell wants a fusion, when you can step up to the real thing, the MKZ.
This shit is clean bro I admit I’d take one of these
Same interior as Ford Fusion...isn't it ?
Sweet ride
Aaand it looks like one of my flip flops came off hahahah
This is reserve ?
Very nice car.
I do love the front.
i'm sorry...my family are huge Lincoln buyers, but this interior is not luxurious to me. Its actually a step down from the the last iteration of the MKZ. Its not even to par to the other vehicles in its class outside its refresh.

wheel caps? is it 1998?
You right Carlos it's still luxury though but that's odd
tbh i felt like the MKZ front grill copied off Kia K900 front or the Bentley Flying Spur a bit
My Next 🚗
Is it a clone of the Fusion?

Those are HID headlights not LED, those come in the luxury package.

I don't know why they slapped a continental face on this car. they should have refreshed the whole exterior. it also makes the continental seem less special.
The front looks so nice, then u have the back...
I personally like the back end
