is my 4th wall breaking an exception?
I probably should have been more clear on that part. It's not THAT they break the 4th wall that's bad, it's that they do it in a way that is terrible. There is an art to 4th wall breaking and you, Mr. Deadpool sir, are a master artist. That's why when that movie does it in a way that's unfunny, it gets them nowhere
ElectricDragon505 thank you and they just gotta hit me up and i will make the 4th wall breaks gold
This comment chain is awesome. :D
Didn't know you went by JustSydney
I don't know if your 4th wall breaking is an exception, but it sure as hell would be if you talked about--
Wait for it---
The Mongols
"They tried to keep the original spirit of Yogi bear instead of modernizing it for the younger kids."
Oh, believe me. Yogi learned to avoid the massive landmine of modernization long ago.
Yo yogi more like Yo Trash imirite
mister reaper, can you tell me where will the creators of yo yogi go when they all die?
Oh hello there edgelord
イKAONイ I think why some people might not like yogi bear because Anna Farris and tj Miller are in the emoji movie and yogi bear
"I've got a sinking feeling!"
UUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
So what you're saying is that the Squeakquel would make slightly more sense if, instead of attending a normal human high school, the Chipmunks had to attend a special high school with other talking animals? Now that's a movie I want to watch.
Yeah like Alvin and the chipmunks in Zootopia high school now that makes sense
Fuck them
Fuck the Chipettes they insulted Katy perry and Beyoncé
I mean. Yeah. That sounds fun.
yeah that idea sounds really fun, I’d legit watch it
"Breaking the 4th wall will get you nowhere." Unless you're Deadpool or Lobo. :D
or pinkie
GO HOME TWIGHTLIGHT!
+Twilight Sparkle No.
+Fanfiction Scrutinizer I get that response a lot
Or Toby Fox.
"Breaking the fourth wall will get you nowhere."
Say that to Spaceballs, Deadpool, Chowder, House of Cards, Fight Club, Monty Python's Meaning of Life, Wayne's World, Wolf of Wall Street, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
And, by sheer nostalgia, Ed, Edd, n Eddy.
And of Course,the Tom Ruegger's WB Cartoons,you know,Tiny Toons,Animaniacs,and Freakazoid.
Silent Hill 3
Pinkie pie and discord from mlp
Exceptions prove the rule. I say as I necropost. Few articles of media ever break the fourth wall and succeed.
This guy looks like he belongs in Channel Awesome.
I know in fact I wonder if he has ever done ant thing with the 'Nostalgia Critic' before.
He looks like Linkara or The Angry Video Game Nerd.
i think he should be:P
Living Ghost I like the way you think
Dillon Ohlemiller How?
Okay, let me try to explain why they went with CGI for Rocky and Bullwinkle and live-action casting for Natasha, Boris, and Fearless Leader: because CGI for humans back in 2000 was BAD. Very bad. If Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within hasn't dated all too well, then there's no way the movie would date okay had they rendered the cartoon humans as CGI. As for Rocky and Bullwinkle, while they could (and should) have rendered Moose and Squirrel as 2D (so they can justify the gag of the 2D weasel getting killed), they made them CGI in order to give them actual depth when regarding their interactions with humans.
Of course this is all negated with Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but you know...
The CGI on Rocky and Bullwinkle looks incredibly ugly to look at & keep in mind. It was made in 2000! When CGI was still in its infancy, even Titan AE, a film that was made during the same year, has CGI that's dated but still pretty to look at.
This guy reminds me of Josh from Drake and Josh
Yeah.. Didn't realize until now
*SPHERICAL*
Alex Fishman amimat reminds me of josh gad
Megan....
He reminds me more of Jerry, from the drake and Josh episode called drew and Jerry
And then Age of Extinction came out.
DarkSoul712 yeah because the Romeo and Juliet law lecture and optimus prime acting like a human killing asshole was defientely missing from the other two.
It was a fun film to watch.......well at least for me anyway
I hope that film and it's series goes extinct.
Doki Doki Horonigaidesu Gumiworm Z
Well it's getting the "Movie Universe" treatment so lets hope that goes just as well as it did for Spiderman and Dracula....if you know what I mean.
Age of extinction was worse than 2&3
Is it sad I bought an Alvin and the Chipmunks cd when it came out in 2007? I was 7 years old don't judge.
i don't judge you
I won't judge you, when I was 6 years old I used to like the cat in the hat mike Myers movie.
PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME!!!!
Ginger kid in pain don't blame yo2
+Nick Coble (Mariofan426) i still like that movie
Same here sadly 😓
Even though it's not being released in theaters, I am scared that the Live Action Kim Possible is going to fail.
Oh it did all right. Many people criticized it for straying too far from its original source material and the character's personality got downplayed to where it doesn't even feel like Kim at all.
The Animated Films based on Cartoons are WAY BETTER THAN THESE, in my eyes. for example The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Abracatastrophe (Fairly Odd Parents), Rugrats Movie and its sequel Rugrats In Paris, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Mr Peabody & Sherman (2014), Wild Thornberrys Movie, Hey Arnold the Movie etc
+Joshua Orro And The Simpsons Movie ;)
the spongebob movies were okay. Maybe because the creators having major involvement (Except the 2nd)
+Joshua Orro Mr. Peabody & Sherman is a pretty good movie. It even slips a few good jokes in all around.
Oh, and The Simpsons Movie & Sou Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut!
Joshua Orro and the peanuts movie
To be entirely fair to Revenge of the Fallen, the “Terminator” was actually rooted in Transformers lore. She’s what’s known as a Pretender. They were introduced near the end of the first generation, and they were known for having humanoid “shells”. Such fan-favorite characters as Bludgeon were actually introduced as Pretenders.
The first alvin and the chipmunks movie was ok. But the other movies are shit. And theres a fourth one on the way.
Jay Sherard No. All of the Chipmunk movies were trash
Filthy Frank Alvin and chipmunks 3 chip wrecked was awful the only thing that is passable is party rock anthem song
@@nn-dz9zj his choice,not yours
Filthy Frank opinion have you heard them
Agreed. At least in the first one the chipmunks origins seemed believable and the film at least attempted to get their personas right. The other ones were just milk machines.
"Breaking the 4th wall will get you nowhere". You might want to tell that to Deadpool.
Being *good* at it helps.
+ElectricMayhem87 (Ashleigh) is right
+RabbitHole20 He probably should have been more clear on that part. It's not THAT they break the 4th wall that's bad, it's that they do it in a way that is terrible. There is an art to 4th wall breaking and Deadpool, is a master artist. That’s why when that movie does it in a way that's unfunny, it gets them nowhere.
My Chemical Escape Did you just copy and paste Animat's response to someone else's comment asking if Deadpool was an exception?
Deadpool is an exception since his whole character is a guy who fucks with the whole marvel universe. Like rick from rick and morty breaks the 4th wall all the time.
actually, i found adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle a great movie adaptation.
That's the only movie adaptation of a cartoon that THEY GOT RIGHT
they put the humor over the actual story and the jokes, like the show, are purposely really good and occasionally really bad. They did the same thing with the movie
Same bruh and also Animat,THE 2D ANIMATION.BAD?!
Gun loads*
Whoever says the 2D animation from the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie is bad shall pay
...am I high right now or are you?
And the episodes barely cared about the main plot. It only cared to make jokes and create odd scenarios, but that was why it was amazing!
Same
I actually liked the Transformers movies, not the story, not character, but the fight scenes
Transformers is the best
Too bad they get more predictable each movie.
Me too.
*OHHHHHHHH BOY!!!!!!!! WERE GONNA GO ON A SWELL ADVENTURE!!!!!!*
I would love to see the Nostalgia Critic review some of these movies.
So far he has reviewed Masters of the Universe, Inspector Gadget, The Last Airbender, Mr. Magoo...6 more to go :D
MrWildcard531 He review most of them ,i'm not sure if he's going to review Yogi Bear.
And also i want form Nostalgia Critic & AniMat (ElectricDragon505) to review the god awful piece of Sh*t Recess: School's Out (2001).
+Delilah “Lee” Johnson Me too :(
he reveiwed smurf and Garfield
+Delilah “Lee” Johnson It isn't a very good plot the villain just builds a machine to try to get rid of summer and make school go all year round to bring up the kids grades.
Michael Bay can't make movies for shit
+Kimmeh Boo Boo Next Michael Bay production: Explosions: The movie.
*Comment Explodes*
you shouldn't have said th- BOOOOOOM
Not me, thought it was too stupid to even like the explosions anymore. Tarentino's got way better moves in action movies.
+Kimmeh Boo Boo I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERY TF MOVIE SO SUCK IT!
did he just use a clip from the phantom of the opera? you are officially my new favorite critic
Hannah O'Reilly Yes, yes he did.
And he made a Producers reference!!
Gillian Quigley THAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER!
I'll admit, I still enjoy Inspector Gadget, the Chipmunk films, and Yogi Bear.... but they've got nothing on the original shows. Nothing will ever top the original shows.
I know i love Inspector Gadget, including the movies. But i would rather watch the old cartoons!
"They're all the same film"
That's because Michael bay doesn't know how to make an original work.
Watch the Nostalgia Critic review of Rocky and Bullwinkle. He surprisingly calls it a very faithful adaptation of the cartoon, right down to the fact that the story and characters are just an excuse to make jokes which even then, some are good and some are bad. He says that's what the cartoon is and that's what the movie is.
Ironically Nostalgia Critic reviewed all the movies on this list excluding the number 1 choice.
Jack Laird I know! I've always been thinking about that!
I know everyone hates The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle but man, it's a guilty pleasure for me.
I would've enjoyed it better if it weren't for the unfunny jokes and the unneeded love interest for the girl. He could've been removed from the film and it wouldn't make much of a difference and it wouldn't lose too much plot.
Mr. Duck me too
What's a guilty pleasure?
I actually liked the movie.
My thoughts on these movies:
10. It's too nostalgic for me to hate or dislike it.
9. I thought it was funny. (Oh, and in the scene at 7:08, I think he did it that way on purpose to parody the cliched and overused apology scene.)
8. I've never seen it, not sure if I want to.
7. Michael Bay should just stop.
6. The first one was already way more than enough.
5. Am I the only one here who didn't think it was that bad?
***** Of course it's not wrong! The Speed Racer movie, in my opinion, was freakin' amazing!
+ejl423
At #5....yes, you are. Me?!?! As a true fan of the Inspector Gadget franchise, I found this movie to be very offensive and insulting. They didn't get Gadget's character right, they treated Penny's like she didn't matter at all and they really fucked up Dr. Claw's character in the movie. They got nothing right with this movie. That's why I'd rather stick with the cartoons and the new Netflix TV show instead of re-watching the live-action ever again. Because, I'm still waiting for an actual animated movie reboot of Inspector Gadget to happen. One that's being handled by people who actually did grew up with the cartoons and respect the original material that's being given to them.
Actually my opinion on #5 has changed some. I watched it again a couple times recently, and every single flaw became more and more obvious, but I still like it, albeit only as a guilty pleasure.
ejl423 I just saw this movie weeks ago on Showtime and I honestly didn't think it was that funny to begin with. I mean seriously, I just found the movie to be rather boring. Plus, I don't even get why Andy Dick is even in this movie, because he's just not that good of a comedic actor. So again...why is Andy Dick even in this movie?! He's just boring. I liked him better as the voice of Nuka in The Lion King II. And that's it. But whatever, that's nostalgia for you.
Yeah, I don't like him either.
I feel bad...
The squeakqual was filmed at MY HIGH SCHOOL
my condolences.
Just Monika good job you just found a filming location
So what were you in the movie ? Lol j.k.( sorta)
waaaaaaiiiiit... Alvin and the chipmunks were a CARTOON?! I never knew that.... ._.
omg really?! it was one of the best, you should go watch the old animated movies
I never knew that too
Yes they had a cartoon series in the 50s and the 80s before the nickelodeon cartoon. Even the cartoon version had a movie before the live action ones.
what..?
@@DarkPhoenixSaga it had a couple of movies actually (if u mean the 80-90's cartoons) i remember watching the Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman and Meet Frankenstein and the one where they go around the world (i dunno the name of it Tho) i know two songs from that one like Getting lucky and boys and girls of rock and roll. I'm pretty sure there are more movies tho
"And MUST have a threatical release"
Damn it, I wanted The Shitty FOP movie to be on the list :(
***** Fairly OddParents
Unpopular opinion: I like the Tom and Jerry movie, dark of the moon, and the first Alvin and the chipmunks movie
Eh,DOTM is an underrated movie. It's not as bad as ROTF unlike what many people say.
@@chalkfourtyfive the only thing o don't remember about DOTM is lazerbeak

K.
WROOOONG!!!!
Tom and Jerry: The Movie deserved a place on this list, but that is entirely animated
Although I think it was pretty cool having films based on cartoons made by the creators of the shows for the Honorable Mentions, he could've probably had "Tom and Jerry: The Movie" as a Dishonorable Mention.
But the 2021 live action/CGI hybrid would definitely earn a place on this list if AniMat were to update it.
Cartoons should not have live action adaptations, PERIOD!
pytko3 Agreed!!!
***** The only problem with this movie is that it's a Wachowskis movie. You know, the "M. Night Shyamalan siblings"?!?!?
***** I guess. Well, I wonder how long it's gonna be until there is an announcement for an upcoming movie or a TV series reboot of Speed Racer in the near-future?!?!?!
+pytko3 To be fair, The Last Airbender could have worked if Nick hadn't screwed it up it. Seriously, look for Shyamalan's original script. It's the reason he was given the OK to make the movie.
Though, the recent Peanuts Movie didn't make the original creator want to jump out his grave.
"If it can kill the reputation of Mario and Zelda, then surely it can kill the reputation of a cartoon moose and squirrel."
Leslie Nielsen: It sure can all right. And don't call me Shirley.
Thank you for that.
#6- Brace yourselves. ANOTHER movie of the Chipmunks (Chipshits) is coming out in Christmas of this very year.
Don't you meant early 2016?
No.... Christmas of 2015.
+24AMPER on the same day as The Force Awakens
+anthonyca1000 im glad the person that wanted to take me to watch the new chopshits movie so my dad toke me to watch star wars the day after chrismas
The only really bad chipmunk movie is the 3 one
Fun Fact: Inspector Gadget was supposed to be Lupin the 8th. Glad that wasn't a thing.
well get ready for the fourth alvin and the chipmunks movie which at this point is really only being made just to cash in on more pop culture and make money
And they're now making a tv show on nick.......May God help us all
+Stephen Aderanti belive it or not it's not that bad
I Am Waffluz REALLY!?
However, David Cross will Not return to reprise his role as Ian. Guess he knows better at this point.
The worst part is that it's a road trip movie
11: Jem and the Holograms (2015)
MaxV2 1. Jem
My responses to the list:
10. I actually barely remember seeing this movie when it first came to theaters. I was only 6 and didn't get what was going on. A couple of years later, I saw the actual show and adored it, laughed uncontrollably, and so on. I still love it - though I hate cliffhangers. When I remembered that a movie was made about it I thought, surely it wasn't that good. I wasn't invested when I saw the trailer, and the movie certainly didn't grab my attention as a kid.
9. Even though I liked this one a bit, I really hated the squeezed in environmental message that got rushed. I don't hate the message itself, but it was done in the most cliched, predictable, and loudly unsubtly in your face way that I couldn't help but hate it. I enjoyed the bears and laughed at the species lady, but the rest was………….eh or ugh!
8. Haven't seen the cartoon, but good grief, did it really have to teleport to our world? Thanks to other movies "based" on cartoons, I can already count all the cliches that come from that! Someone stop making crappy movies based off of more original cartoons!
7. Also haven't seen either movie or cartoons, but my sister keeps telling me that at least the first movie was really good. From what everyone else says it seems like if the rest of the movie was fast forwarded to the action scenes nobody would miss the story. Am I right? And doesn't Optomis Prime die in the cartoons?
6. THANK YOU!! AND INCLUDE THE OTHER MOVIES TOO!!!!! I tolerated the first movie, second kinda tolerated (hopefully the other sequels will be mentioned for how horrendous they are). I don't care if these guys are so cute and adorable I despise them! Even Papa, who grew up with the cartoon, said that this movie makes them so unrecognizable from what they originally were. Way to go, movies!
5. I eventually saw some episodes from the show and was having fun, though I still would like to know why Penny couldn't get gadgets, and I could listen to Dr. Claw's voice all day! This movie……………….Matthew Broderick, why? I know can be great and he's trying, but good grief I don't know if the writer is to blame, the director, or him. And I'm going to go with what the Nostalgia Critic said and say that Rupert Everret is not Dr. Claw! Oh and here's one more spit in the face on the cartoon: Brain in the end credits actually gets voiced by the original Inspector Gadget. Though I actually heard the sequel (though very panned by critics) is actually closer to the original cartoon than this movie was, like Dr. Claw is not revealed.
The only real issue I had with Gadget 2, was Penny was a redhead. In the first movie, she sort of had the right shade. I actually liked G2, the full android... Although she'd not be my first choice to be Penny's aunt. Friend (although "adult") yes, but not aunt.
Am i the only one who thought Age of Extintion was worse than Revange of the Fallen

Brendan Greene I saw that "movie", it's terrible and has nothing to do with elf bowling.
Yep and ivan drago is the main character
And his transportation is a Pink Cadillac like that Springsteen song!
I actually loved the Alvin and the chipmunks movies
They were part of my childhood

Funny thing about ranger jones is that he’s played by TJ Miller, who would give one of his better performances 4 years later as Fred in Big Hero 6
10 extra points to Animat for the phantom of the opera reference!
“Breaking the 4th wall will get you nowhere”
*deadpool would like to know your location*
I know almost nothing about Deadpool
Honestly I didn't mind The Adventures of Rocky and Bulwinkul maybe because it was based off one of my favorite shows or because of that cameo from Kennen and Kel
Jem and the holograms would have been on the list if it was out when he made this
To reference Animat's question of this movie, why were Rocky and Bullwinkle CGI-based, the weasel was hand-drawn animated, and Fearless Leader, Boris and Natasha live-action? I know that they were trying out computer animation back at the time it was released, and the humans were meant to be played in live-action, but it doesn't make sense.
T.J. Miller IS a good actor half the time. In Yogi Bear, he just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible and didn't try to emote properly because the studio forced him at gunpoint to star in this movie and they'd give him $3 million.
And that's why he was phoning it in.
He was also dealing with some serious health problems at the time, he wasn’t all there during filming.
I just noticed that Shia labouf was in transformers
When he said he didn't know there was a spy version of Sex in the City apparently doesn't know about Charlie's Angels
Breaking the fourth wall will get you nowhere
Tell that to Pinkie Pie and Deadpool
I'd tell the bronie that breaking the fourthwall is pointless.
I know you are you and you have your opinions, but don't try and hate on fandoms. I bet once you saw the words "Pinkie Pie", you didn't think and just assumed it was something about MLP.
+Carly Oshawott there was a fat man dressed as pinkie pie (bronies sicken me)
not all bronies are like that.
+Carly Oshawott bronies cheered him on like it was a normal thing
I actually liked the first Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! However, I hated 2 and 3. They were just....bad. I HATE THE CHIPETTES!!!! Grrr, they make me mad.
ajzeg01 My thoughts exactly :)
Hey bro
ajzeg01 Oh just wait, there getting another this December.
I thought it was okay. Dave was a very memorable character. He made the film. The other 2 have no redeeming qualities however.
kaiju kun64 Yeah, making Ian a "good guy" in the third one was a dick move. What's going to be the plot of the fourth one without him as a villan anyway??? I mean, even that female from the third one can't be the villan for the fourth one, because SHE TOO changed her mind about being evil at the end. It would have been awesome if the fourth one was about her plotting her revenge, but NOPE!
I actually like "Inspector Gadget" a whole bunch. It has all the components I find attractive in a movie and I still remember scenes from it to this day that make me laugh, and I even think it balances trying to be its own thing while still faithful to the spirit of the cartoon, albeit slightly more "local." I don't know. I just really like it.
"YOU WILL SING FOR ME NYEH" maybe inspiration for papyrus saying nyeh heh heh
Well to be fair, it was supposed to depict Gadget's first days on the job. The awkwardness is probably a testament to the fact he's not used to his new body yet.
You my friend have earned yourself a subscriber! You're hilarious man!
"So do their appearance depend on how they came into the real world?"
That is actually an interesting theory.
Man, I'm glad this video showed up in my recommended. I have quite a bit of nostalgia for this video, even though it's not that old.
minor note: Alvin and the chipmunks started as a novelty music 'group' in 1958. (and already had a (less known) cartoon in the 1960's)
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has amazing potential as a movie series. Its comic book roots portray it as an intriguing sorcery/science mishmash adventure, combining barbarism with technology and boasting a wide range of unique characters, from aliens to cyborgs to wizards. If writers took this one step further and introduced modern CGI and a darker, more serious tone, the results on the big screen could be simply amazing.
"but no hemans gay he es nacked lol" - Internet
*The internet has the best spelling ever.
This list should be updated with Jem and the Holograms somewhere.
I will say this about the Transformers movies. Say what you will about whether they're good or bad, you have to admit that the scores for them done by Steve Jablonsky are really well done.
Good Music can't save a film.
+Human Toy Freddy (Freddu) Case and point: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
+Human Toy Freddy (Freddu) Does it matter? As long as the music survives. Just ask Quest For Camelot.
It's odd that the host thinks it's ludicrous that The Chipmunks are attending school. In the cartoons they attend school only it's grade school.
This is one of the first videos I ever watched from you. Such nostalgia!
I will personally vouch for the rocky and bullwinkle movie. It was a very faithful adaptation that kept true to its nonsensical story material it had to begin with. The cartoon had a very simple premise - fearless leader had an evil scheme which Boris and Natasha would try to carry out, and while they are mostly oblivious to all of the schemes in some of the deadly plans, rocky and bullwinkle end up saving the day. It was heavily vocally based with very little action but it was made up for in sharp wit. The movie was pretty close, upping both the intense wordplay and some of the action. It even took a jab at itself for knowing that roger rabbit came out before it, and they know the live action/animation movie idea has been done before. Overall the movie had a very dedicated cast and crew that knew what rocky and bullwinkle source material deserved in order to make the movie greater as a result.
Transformers 2 suffered from the writers strike. And Michael Bay had apologized about the movie and tried to fix the mistakes with the third movie. But he did not learn any of the mistakes when he made Transformers 4 & 5. And I hope to never experience those movies ever again. But Steve Jablonsky's music in those movies were on fire.
I think they did two major flaws with Inspector Gadget. What made Claw work as a villain....what made him scary....was YOU NEVER SAW HIM. You just see the arm and hear the creepy threatening voice and that was enough. In this one, he's just clearly seen and he acts ridiculous so you don't take him seriously as a villain. And they couldn't even get a blonde girl to play Penny.
So basically The Peanuts movie is the only movie (as far as I know) that is actually appreciating it's original source material and successfully tried.
...Harrison Wells was in Yogi Bear?!?!?!
+Michael Iv MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jayblade2000 I wish he'd just squeeze Yogi's heart

Lukas Paskalskis That is dumb
What are you thoughts on that cgi Gadget cartoon?
did you know that the main decepticon, Fallen, is voiced by Tony Todd, the Candyman himself
What’s the song that plays in the number segments? I’m sure I’ve heard it before somewhere, but I can’t pin point it.
Wait, Justin Timberlake was in the Yogi Bear movie!?

When I was watching the 25th anniversary concert of The Phantom of the Opera with my dad, and the part in 11:43 came up, I stg I nearly started dying of laughter because it made me think of this video
You know you have a shitty and forgettable movie if I ACTUALLY wonder if I've seen it or not. (Yogi Bear)
yeah same.
I hope to God that we don't get a live action Danny Phantom movie.
***** Those shows are garbage any way.
I like Danny Phantom but I definitely cannot stand Kim Possible as much as Animat can't stand Hotel Transylvania or the Meatball movies.
Masters of the Universe is one of those movies "thats so bad its good". Delicious 80's cheese. Same with Flash Gordon.
Optimus Prime's death in the original animated film was done so much better. Great score that went along with the scene that made me feel like a friend dying in front of me
Transformers aminated movies is for kids
have you seen what nickelodian did to the chipmunks recently look it up its a fucking tragedy
Does anyone know who He-Man is with at 9.09? I have no idea who those guys are and I just want to know so I can get the job Animat is doing
*get the joke Animat is doing
Been watching some of your videos, and I hope The Breadwinner will be in a video soon. It is an amazing film.
To be fair the chipmunks do attend school in the original animated series. Although, I think they were in elementary in that one. And we see them attend school in their animated film, Alvin & the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman. But, I do agree that Alvin should not have been trying so hard to be popular and fit in with the football team because like you said they're freakin famous and you'd think those football players would want to be seen hanging out with international famous pop stars and asking for their autographs instead of making fun of Simon and Theodore all the time.
Also while I have admittedly never seen the Inspector Gadget cartoon even I could tell the live action movie was bad and I think I know why it was so bad and apologies ahead of time for the trite answer. The main reason I believe the live action Inspector Gadget movie is so bad is simply because it is live action. Face it, there are reasons why certain special effects only look right when done in animated format. This is also why when those same effects are transferred into a live action movie that they come off as cheesy. We need only to look at all those cheesy live action superhero/wizard shows Disney and Nick throws at us as further evidence of this fact. Also you can get away with a heck a lot more in cartoons than you do in live action. These reasons among others are the reasons why 90% of the time live action film adaptations of cartoons and videogames will never work out right and why fully animated movie adaptations have a higher chance at succeeding. Bottom line: if you attempt to recreate a popular animated show especially one that is old in live action format you will fail 90% of the time and that is me being nice. This move is also almost as bad and as stupid as transforming a popular, highly acclaimed action show into a watered down comedy. Almost.
I thought the first Alvin and the chipmunks movie was decent.
Just a little but the other movie are shit
