When cutting your hair out of boredom doesn't seem that bad in comparison to what people in tiktok does every Tuesday afternoon
What the point of having hair if not to cut it/dye it at home at 2am when youre bored??? It grows back!!
Ah, the good ol' days of cutting my bangs on the bathroom sink! Wait... That was last night.
😂🤣🤣🤣
I dyed the front part of my hair blue during lockdown because brightly coloured front pieces were A Thing. It looked really good but I found out that manic panic dye can stain virgin dark blonde hair...
@@estherstreet4582 They were? I had no idea! I dyed my bangs purple on lockdown and have been keeping it ever since, but now the entire front part is dyed lol
The scalp popping actually gives me body horror
Me too, it's like low-calorie scalping 😭
Same here. I'm not squeamish at all, but when I am, I know I'm going to fall asleep thinking about it.
@@ForestFire369 low-calorie hahaha 😂
For real!
My face has been frozen like this 😦 for a solid four minutes.
New fear unlocked.
"scalp popping" is like "spa water" its not a tiktok trend. its called hair cracking, im p sure first, and its in Mexican and Peruvian cultures. its to relieve migraines and headaches. I cant believe so many ppl are spreading misinformation about it and saying its ripping your scalp. that shouldn't be happening
Imagine having the gall to say "dentists don't tell me this is wrong damage already done" while spreading the idea of putting strong chemicals directly on your teeth 😂
Hey kids on TikTok, why not find some bleach of some sort and gargle with it?
Omg I just can't with "teeth trends"... Just go to a dentist they'll whiten your teeth in a safe and longlasting manner suited the best for your own situation...
@@shortcake66 you
Omg I used to use hydrogen peroxide on my teeth ..
@@iThiink it‘s fine I do it all the time
James, thank you for mentioning the at home tattoo freckles mishap. I’m a licensed tattoo artist and I believe not enough people are talking enough online about the dangers of at home tattoos/cheap tattoo supplies and equipment. It’s a serious matter that if mishandled can result in various life threatening infections or hepatitis, HIV, MRSA, allergic reactions.. etc. It’s not a light issue to ignore.
Let me just say this I am 5years sober today and suffered MSRA on my arm (almost lost it) and although these folk’s at home aren’t doing what I did in the past. I will state this MSRA is not something anyone wants to have it’s scary as hell and to see the inside of any part of your body part's will leave you feeling ill and fighting for your life so these folk’s unless they want to end up in the ER and having a doctor give them heavy anti biotics while trying to save whatever body part they foolishly affected will leave them scratching their own heads saying damn this wasn’t worth it..
I sometimes wish I had a photo of my arm so I can show folks this could happen to them too and they don’t need to stick a needle in their arm instead it could easily happen to them when they go get those tattoos done at someone’s bedroom or alley way. Yes I knew a few folks in Los Angeles who would do tattoos in the alley oh freaking god🥴🤯🤦🏻♀️
I still don't understand how it's possible to just buy these kits online like it's no big deal. Even at its best (a lifelong commitment to an amateur at-home tattoo) it's not a good option.
@@punchdrunkassassin The only tattoo I have is one I can only see. My brother use to do tattoos (not a pro btw but got pretty good at doing them). One night he wanted to give me one. I refused because I didn't want to suffer through the pain of it. Instead I grabbed a new clean needle, thread and some black ink to do it myself. The plan was to tattoo my husband name inside my middle finger. I got the 1st letter done (saying OUCH after every jab) then bailed out. That shit HURT!! 35 yrs later thankfully it's almost gone. Then again, no one would even know it's there unless I actually showed it to them. To be so young and dumb... 🤦♀️
It doesn't help that Amazon doesn't sort their products by which seller is selling them. They just throw everything labeled as the same thing in the same bin from all sellers. So even if it's a reputable brand, it could be a knock off (which is the case for almost all skincare on Amazon).
This wasn’t a hack just a REALLY STUPID thing I did when I was 15. I’m 55 now, not that it matters. I have no idea why I thought it would be a good idea! I decided to mix ALL the facial products we had at home. Some were pore tightening, some cleansers, some acne, toners, etc…
I put on my face for about 3mins before I had to wash off quickly. For the next hour my face got redder and redder. Ended up in ER and diagnosed with a chemical burn. Turned out to be a second degree burn, skin peeled off after 2 days in hospital. To this day I am super careful about mixing even the smallest amount of products.
😟
Holy shit
Oh God.
Oh my God, oh my God!! Damn it, i poured a liquid for wound into my body cream as a child but I was literally fine, I'm glad you are okay. I also would be scared to mixed stuff if I were you.
Oh no, so sorry that happened! Did your skin fully recover?
As a red head I can't stand the thought let alone the reality of not using sunscreen on my face at the very least. Sun burns are so awful and painful that I'd rather not risk it.
thankfully i’ve only been burnt badly once but god that was SO BAD. it was at the back of my thighs too so i would not recommend 😭
@@jaqsre as someone who once burned my knees (sitting down in a canoe all day) and probably got a first/second degree burn on my nose at the same time….. yeah, wouldn’t recommend 🫠
I’m lucky enough to have skin that doesn’t burn easily, tans even in the shade and when wearing sunscreen, etc. But I still put on sunscreen almost every day. Have gotten accidental tan tattoos before though, and had a star on my chest (necklace) and a a ribbon on my back from my favourite bikini 🙈😂
@@doubtingthelimit I've always envied people who have the ability to tan. Eventually I learned it was never going to be me and trying was a waste of time. You're right though, everyone should wear sunscreen no matter their ability to tan or not.
And later in your 40s the skin damage will emerge...
Ex dental nurse here and all I can say is RIP to her teeth. Hydrogen peroxide will cause so much sensitivity as it will burn away your enamel. Do not do this 😭
Just like that charcoal train
That kind of hydrogen peroxide can. I use the regular kind as a rinse, which is what my dentist told me to do
Diluted hydrogen peroxide is perfectly fine for enamel - it's the same ph as saliva and non abrasive. The problem is that it can cause gum recession through irritation. And it may alter the flora of the mouth for the worse since it kills all bacteria and not just plaque.
@@Greydrops it's really good for treating periodontal disease.
i dont heck with hydrogen peroxide. Because I have used it to clean bones. And even with gloves and being careful, my fingerprints are still fuuuuked
The scalp popping is awful, I’m from Mexico and I remember having strep and my grandma doing it to me cause she said it would help break my tonsils apart to release the infection or something like that lol. It didn’t do crap and I still got a penicillin injection the next day cause my throat was on fire.
Yeah but did your scalp recover?
@@sadie9728 it hurt when they first did it but after I didn’t feel or noticed anything. After that I never had my grandma do it again, my mom didn’t let her 😆
I'm from India and this is also a part of my culture and I had this done to me too when I got a cold which never got better with medicine at all and it actually got better when I did it. Can't say with full proof that this works tho
If you want to contour with tan safely, just use a self tanning mousse! Just paint where you want contour, let sit and wash off. Please be safe in the sun, I had melanoma at thirty!
People trying procedures at home that are usually done by professionals makes me think of Dr. Mike's words everytime he reacts to health hacks.
He always says something along the lines of "if amateurs were truly able to fix/do things just like that why would we waste years of our life to learn a certain profession?"
(I hope my point comes across, because I'm to sick to write logical sentences in another language right now ^^')
Exactly, why do people think they would be able to easily do something that take years of learning for others
@sweettea I hope you're. Feeling better x
exactly. medical procedures aren't "DIY." if you don't have access to the real thing, just live without. all of these people getting "fomo" from not being able to afford these procedures so they're trying to do it themselves. to me, the solution is raising minimum wage so we can all access things like professional teeth whitening. not doing it in your bathroom with something you got on eBay!
I hate the skalp popping with passion 😣
Ripping your scalp makes it pop? So confused but also grossed out xD
It’s really common in the salon here when you go to wash your hair and I always always tell them not to do it
Just watching it makes me queasy and I'm not someone who gets nauseous easily
@@chhenglangchea 😱 The horror omg
@@KingLizardCountry and the fact that people enjoyed it😵💫 it hurts like hell
I've heard that the scalp popping is fake and it's just people cracking their knuckles behind their own hand but hearing you explain what the popping sound actually is freaked me out so much, that's horrible!! 🤢
And full disclosure: Yes, I'm embarrassed to say I've tried the tanning contour in the past - it used to be a trend to draw little sunscreen hearts or designs on your body and I was so into it 😣
I saw someone say their mom used to do the scalp popping thing to them as a kid and I was quite concerned
If you want the results safely, just use a tanning mousse to contour, let it sit and wash it off. You get the results without the sun.
"scalp popping" is like "spa water" its not a tiktok trend. its called hair cracking, im p sure first, and its in Mexican and Peruvian cultures. its to relieve migraines and headaches. I cant believe so many ppl are spreading misinformation about it and saying its ripping your scalp. that shouldn't be happening.
Hah, the sunbed designs thing used to be so popular in the 2000s! Especially in the hip/tramp stamp area 😆 Live and let live, but as a ghostly pale person I'll never be trying that myself.
it's not fake it's literally mentioned in the trauma section of medical textbooks as it exists along other bigger traumas
So on the hydrogen peroxide thing. I have used hydrogen peroxide as a rinse many times. Not for teeth whitening but because I’m very prone to canker sores. HOWEVER, I’m using it only when I have sores and I’m DILUTING it 1 part peroxide to 2 parts warm water. Twice daily rinses help keep the sores from getting infected and therefore they tend to heal faster, but full strength basically destroys your gums and other mouth tissues even as a rinse. You aren’t going to manage to use it long enough to bleach your teeth without turning your whole mouth into one giant irritated mess.
I used to get made fun for my freckles *all the time.* My mom used to tell me that they were angel kisses. I've always loved my freckles, even when it seemed like everyone else hated them. Mine are perfect, they look just like the filter, they're right under my eyes and across my nose. I'm glad people love freckles now but at the same time, it is kind of hard for me to see people put fake freckles on and get so much praise for the same things I was ridiculed for growing up. Lmao my feelings are complicated on this subject 🥴
I feel this. To me, my freckles always looked like my face was dirty, or I had breakouts. They're not the perfectly placed kind but rather just a bit of a free for all. It's so weird to see other people go to lengths to give themselves freckles of all kinds, while I've always felt like I personally needed to cover mine up.
I have veeery light freckles, they used to be very very noticeable when I was a kid but then I think my teenage acne scars basically destroyed them lol, so because I love them and miss them very much I often use makeup to make the surviving ones pop, and I remember one day my dad noticed it and asked me "Did u just paint freckles on your face? Are they considered pretty now? Oh wow! When I was a kid I was bullied for them, the other kids told me that it looked like I had tried to stop a turd with a strainer!", I SWEAR KIDS ARE SO CREATIVE FOR EVIL LMAO. But it was ADORABLE because u could see in his face the childish happiness he got from knowing now one of his biggest insecurities was something that made him be considered as pretty and special, so much so that his own teenage daughter was painting them on!🤣❤
As a teenager I tried Hydrogen Peroxide to whiten my teeth and the skin it my mouth started peeling off 🙃
Yep, even though hydrogen peroxide is only one oxygen molecule away from water, it is a highly caustic substance than can cause a lot of damage to soft tissues if you aren’t super careful and/or at higher concentrations.
We in vulture culture literally use hydrogen peroxide to dissolve and clean the bones of the icky flesh. :/ So yeaaaa
Uh
😂
I feel like people don't realize just how much the sun ages the skin and how with SPF you can prevent A LOT (most) of wrinkles especially in 20s,30s,40s. Smoking also causes early set and bad wrinkles.
I thought that lady in the video was just talking about how much sun damage she had, but she turned it up a notch.
This is true. I hate the sun and burn easily, so I sunscreen up constantly and avoid being outside as much as possible during super sunny days. I got carded for alcohol up til I was 33, and drinking age here is 19 😅 unfortunately stress caught up with me though and now I'm starting to see some lines.
It's definitely wild how much of a difference keeping your skin safe in the sun can make though!
@@punchdrunkassassin it's true, but wrinkles etc has more to do with genes. I have done everything to look 100 by now, that I'm 38, but people still think I'm 25. I started to use sunscreen only now, because the twins told me to 😅and I don't want to get cancer or more sun damage.
I kinda don't give a fuck. I wanna age and have wrinkles and not be judged for it
In Africa without sun , our skins turn dull .
So I know I haven't finished the video, but the scalp popping thing I physically cannot deal with. I've watched videos of literal surgery with no issue. But I accidentally stumbled upon one of those videos of the popping and I immediately felt nauseated. I don't know how anyone can do that to themselves and not freak out. And now that I'm hearing it's a cultural thing that parents did to their kids I have never been so happy to have the parents that I have lol.
Side note. I have some freckles and beauty marks on my face and I love them dearly. So there is one person for your "freckle lover with freckles" count :)
That freckle one has me RAGING. this is why you *don't* buy tattoo equipment online, from amazon or anywhere. Legit equipment sellers will only sell to legit professionals.
Freckles are a sign of sun damage! I’ve grown to love mine but I almost panic when I get new freckles because I feel like I’m in the sun too much when they pop up. I’m also checking to make sure some of them aren’t an unusual color since I’m at an increased risk for melanoma.
I can relate. I live in Australia, and with my freckled complection, I have to wear sun hats, 50spf, and a uva/uvb protective suit when I swim. Even on cloudy days it can be level 8 UB warning. Level 12 sometimes. Protect your skin people, regardless of where you live or what skin colour you have.
I check mine too
Same! I used to use tanning beds and the freckles and sun damage looked the same.
I recognize that this is unkind, but I marvel at the stupidity of some of these behaviors. The freckle tattoo story, for example: I understand that she recognizes her foolishness in retrospect, but what possessed her to do it in the first place? “Anything for views”? The strategic sunscreen placement is another head-scratcher for me. What exactly made these people think that (1) this would work, or (2) this was safe for their skin? I don’t understand why anyone with functioning neurons would think that a Tik Tok trend (a site not known for establishing the qualifications of its contributors) is a reasonable source of body-altering advice.
Personally, I don't think it's for clout or views like a lot of people do -- I think seeing other people do the same thing makes it seem safe. I did the same when I realized people were cutting their own hair during lockdown -- I'd never even thought of it as something I could do before, but suddenly it was accessible. Obviously much safer than trying to tattoo freckles... but also being convinced you're too smart to be manipulated makes you more likely to be manipulated, so I tend to assume that the right words could convince me of anything
@@isabellamorris7902 This is correct, now I’m not a psych professional by any means, but one of the first things you learn when taking any psychology class is that human beings are both extremely social animals, and extremely easy to manipulate no matter how intelligent. When you combine both of these things you can get the answer as to why so many people get wrapped up into stupid trends, it’s because everyone else is doing it and they don’t want to be excluded from the group. Now add pressure from friends talking about it and almost anyone would fold eventually or, even if they don’t, will still feel guilty because they are following the group even if they are ultimately correct for doing so.
That freckles tattoo still marvel me, why her face? She could have tested it at the back of her hand, who the heck test needles on their face🤦, I feel so bad for her but I'm glad she shared her story, that way so many can learn
Well in regards to the sunscreen one, these are people that probably don’t even wear sunscreen to begin with.
I’m not sure how it is in other parts of the world but tanning culture is HUGE in my part of the US. Growing up, I never wanted to tan because I liked my skin and was made aware of the dangers of uv exposure at a young age. I was made fun of a TON for it and my friends always tried to convince me that my skin would go from red to tan if I just laid out there longer and didn’t wear sunscreen.
But the amount of people that will go lay in the sun intentionally without sunscreen (or in a tanning bed for that matter) for hours is shocking.
When I was 21 I was able to tan without a problem and didn't really burn, I had gone my entire life only wearing sunscreen at the beach and had no idea of just how unsafe not wearing it was. At the time I really did make the "tan contouring" work, I did it for like 10 minutes at a time so the results wouldn't be so extreme. Regret it so much now.
I think scalp popping is going to haunt me way past Halloween
I love that you mentioned that only dental professionals can do whitening! It’s basically illegal in the UK for nail techs, places that do facials or anyone that’s not dentally trained to do whitening. It’s so dangerous for people gums/teeth/soft tissues.
A friend who used to be in cosmetology school told me that the lash stuff is similar to perm solution. I used to get hair perms as a kid and the chemicals made your eyes water. I can't imagine putting anything like that anywhere near eyes! My lash curler does the job without risk of blindness!!
Yeah, I can't imagine putting that stuff near the eyes either. Back when spiral perms were in (remember those? lol) I got so many of them. Yep, that solution use to make my eyes water too. It's making my eyes itch just thinking about it... 🤦♀️
Remember when we'd take a lighter to the eyelash curler? Do people still do that? I always tested it on my palm to make sure I didn't burn my eyelid but it doesn't sit right with me anymore.
@@katrinascarlet5637 ooh I never did that because my lashes have always had a great curl to them but I do remember taking a lighter to a Maybelline liner to create our version of a "gel liner", lol. One of my sister's use to put her mascara on then take a sewing needle to separate ea lash 😬 We both have long, thick, curly lashes but getting that separation was hard for her to achieve. Me? I was just fine with how mine looked. No way in hell was I going to put a needle near my eyes, lol
@@katrinascarlet5637 they make heated eyelash curlers now!!! much safer and mine holds a curl for days. i also use argan oil on my lashes just to undo any of the potential "heat damage"- although the tool i have barely gets warm enough to justify concern. :)
A PSA for anyone who insists on using otc hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth: you need to dilute it with water first before using it like a mouthwash. You also shouldn’t be doing this everyday because it can damage your enamel and lead to tooth sensitivity.
When I was in school, tanning beds were super popular. The tanning salons would sell stickers that you could put on yourself so you’d had a design in your tan. I’m embarrassed to admit I used to do the playboy bunny logo on my hip.
Yup! I used tanning beds daily from about 2005-2008. I always had a stupid heart on my ass. Lol.
I did a heart in the same place :)
I’m embarrassed to say that I also got the playboy bunny logon my hip. I thought it was “cool” with my low rise jeans 🫣😣, not everything from the 90’s should come back lol
@@EvelynSanchez463 the lower the better! I’m horrified at some of the jeans I wore. Like you literally couldn’t sit in them.
Thanks for letting me know about the hydrogen peroxide thing! It makes sense why it’s dangerous now that I really sit and think about it, but it was something my mom taught me to do so I never really thought about it until now. I’ll make sure to let her know about this too!
as an esthetician i am so glad to hear you finally go back on your at home lamination recommendations ♥️
As a child, I genuinely believed that I could bleach off my freckles. So whenever you want to damage your skin to get them, just remember that you always want what you can’t have. Work on loving yourself first and foremost.
Scalp popping makes my skin crawl 😭 I started shaving my head again because I couldn't handle the tension of even having my hair loosely braided, idk why I thought I could watch someone pop their scalp without feeling ill lol
Omg its making me want to go bald again so bad
Story about fake tattoo ink is horrible 😢 I wish for this girl a fully recovery ❤️🩹
TikTok is a mess🥺
I agree, it's a hot mess
I really can’t overstate how stupid I used to be when I was younger- I bleached and ironed my hair, I pierced my own belly button once (no it did not work, don’t ever try that!) but somehow when I thought of the idea of using sunscreen to create highlight and shadows (I was an art-girl so it made sense even a couple decades before contouring was a thing) that seemed too reckless even for me 🫢
I have tried the laminating kits and here’s the thing- it’s extremely hard to do anything like that to *your own* eyelashes. For it to have a hope of working your eyes need to be closed throughout, but to see what you’re doing you have to keep opening your eyes. Even if you know you have a kit that’s safe it’s just such a hassle and so unlikely to work, it’s not worth trying, honestly.
We really need to normalize appreciating the beauty of others as well as ourselves. This is the only way to fully combat these ridiculous trends. We are all beautifully unique
One of my favorite shirts James! Love it! And love you! 💜💜
Videos like yours are so important for safety and I hope prevents many injuries!
I live in the US, the 3 percent hydrogen peroxide bottle in my bathroom cabinet says right on it, “to use as a mouth rinse, simply dilute half hydrogen peroxide and half water, rinse, and spit”.. lol… I’ve used it that way as long as I’ve had teeth (I’m 33) lol … so far so good, but I guess if it’s illegal in the UK, maybe I shouldn’t..? It’s weird because I’ve literally had some (not all) dental professionals recommend it to me and my mom. Yikes.

Diluted it's not as bad, medicalnewstoday said “To avoid irritating the gums, consider limiting use to a few times a week.”, mostly it seems recommended for specific issues, if you have a cold, sore throat and thick mucous, wounds or sores in your mouth, not for daily mouth wash. Some Utah dentist I googled said “you should only use it a few times a month” and “Consider switching to saltwater rinses” for the same benefits without the negative side effects.
Ah! You've re-released this video 💙 I've never done scalp popping but I do notice that whenever I have a bad headache that pulling my hair in certain places does help ease the pain and make the headache pass faster for me. Then again... If my baby hairs annoy me and get in my ears and tickle them when blown about by the wind, then I often rip then out in clumps without flinching too 😳 (which is why I try to keep them trimmed short)
Do you have Trichotillomania I do and so I have to keep my head shaved and take medication other wise I’ll pull my hair out and my eyelashes eyebrows and any body hair

Love your channel just discovered it😉
It’s the fact that these people see stuff and just believe it without asking any questions. The complete lack of analytical thinking skills is depressing
I laminated my brows during lockdown and didn’t bother reading the info properly, and instead of waiting 6 weeks before re-doing them, I waited 2 weeks. Totally frazzled my brows, they looked like I’d set fire to them. Sooo yeah, that happened
I think the weirdest part about the freckles “trend” is I remember being picked on like all of early school years because of them, to the point I was lookin for diy things to lighten them lmao but I’m glad people don’t have to go through that anymore.
even if you have tattoo quality ink you can still be allergic and have your skin just dissove and slough off, happened to me. tattoo artist dont allergy test, its probably a good idea to insist on one if you havent used that brand/color before. i stopped getting tattoos years ago, so im sure there are new formulations, but at the time turns out i could only use intenze.
loved this vid!!
Your shirt 😍😍😍😍😍😍!!!! Thank you for your informative video. The scalp popping and the tattoo freckles, contour with sunscreen 😱😱😱.
The girl who dows my brows professionally told me this story:
She trained someone who wanted to learn laminating. This person hardly paid attention and then started booking her own clients, thinking she knew it all. Welp, cut to doing a client's brows - she left that stuff on the brows way too long... the client's brows turned into what looked like curly pubic hair. The "trained" girl asked how to fix it while freaking out via text. My brow gal said sorry you can't, give the client her money back.
I will never do any DIY stuff at home lol. I refuse. 😂

The scalp popping thing freaks me out. 🤢
Love the Pokémon shirt btw 😉
I've used 3% hydrogen peroxide as mouthwash for a few weeks. It's quite cheap and easy to buy in the US. $1-3/bottle at drugstores. While it did work to noticeably whiten, it made my teeth noticeably sensitive, so I immediately stopped. 😟
Oh the last couple of years made us all try to do things at home. I did lash perming & extensions, my nails, hair cut & color. It got me by, but the salon is definately better!
What annoys me the most with the sunscreen thing is that is is litteraly SO EASY to make it work and being safe at the same time, just put the appropriate amount of sunscreen everywhere and then on top of that put the big layer on where you want the "highlight" and redo that every couple hours just like you should do normally..... but since people can't think for two seconds
Thank you for this! My teen granddaughter loves Tiktok and believes everything she sees there. I shared this video with her.
the king returns ❤
My dad actually got me a cheap tattoo kit from alliexpress, it has a bunch of ink, needles, a pen. But the difference is that I got them to practice to get an apprenticeship. I have fake skin for it and I will NEVER use it on a person. Thats so unsafe. Only get these kits to practice on fake skin, please omg.
There are cosmetic tattoo artists who could've done great looking professional freckle tattoos for a fraction of the cost she's ending up having to pay to get rid of the damage she did
god i’m sometimes so glad i’m into alternative fashion when it comes to bs about suncream. if i’m going out and there’s a sunburn risk (aka summer), im coating myself to factor 50 in a desperate bid to keep my violently pale skin violently pale and to not burn (….if i go outside at all, which is rare). why? cos with my general skin tone variance, paler = looking more dead (like vampire dead, not zombie dead), which is my aim with it. just clarifying because i do not want to come across like i’m saying darker skin tones can’t be goth or emo or alternative (poc absolutely can and absolutely can look it too, you don’t need ti look like a sheet of paper), it’s just with MY skin (running very much on the paler side), i prefer the paler look and like wearing stuff that washes me out even more. i don’t want to look “glowy” - i wanna look pasty, and not tanning helps me do this.
it also means that whilst my sunburn risk is naturally higher (pale as fuck = more likely to get burnt) i have a very very very low rate of sunburns (because fuck going outside). but even with my like…2 or 3 sunburns, i’m at increased risk of skin cancer as i get older. the more sunburns you have the worse it is, and you’re more likely to get sunburns if you’re not covered in suncream you’ve applied properly and using the appropriate SPF
My scalp pops in two places on my head semi-frequently accidentally, whenever I turn my head in the "wrong way", and it's agonizingly painful. I cannot ever imagine doing it on purpose because it aches for hours afterwards.
Chiropractor asap
When that happens it feels like a burning metal pole is just shoved through my skull
Okay, I'm just a lowly P. T. How can your scalp by itself "pop"? Could it be your cervical spine, the vertebrae you are hearing pop?
@@carolinesc3615 for me I think it’s a nerve or something getting caught on the bone that sticks out on the back of your head and popping around it. Shit hurts so bad man.
@@OogaBooga69 Yes. That's your cervical vertebrae not the scalp of the head.
Love this top on you!!
New subscriber. I think you are awesome and your skin is beautiful. I love skincare.
YIIIIIKES
I can't handle this scalp-popping shi it makes me physically shiver 😭
The scalp popping thing is actually quite dangerous, it can cause damaging separation of your scalp from your skull.
Omg your shirt ✨
My dentist has me rinse with peroxide for exactly one minute at the start of every appointment 🤔
Omg I can’t ever get over the DIY Tattoo freckles 😮
People doing stupid things to their bodies in the name of beauty is nothing new, unfortunately. Check white lead makeup and belladonna eyedrops for some fun historical "beauty" treatments!
I tried a diy lash lift... it did not work for me at all but I'm glad I didn't have a bad reaction!! I just had some wonky lashes for a few weeks
Side note, love your top!
Ow mah gawd...was that the “I can’t stop me” instrumental, in your intro!?
"it's vital for keeping any of the hair on your face healthy... AND LOOKING NICE more importantly."
Listen, the priorities are skewed, but you're not wrong.
Ex-dental of 7 yrs. Hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse works great for gum injuries, burn, irritation, etc. However you must dilute it with 3 parts water 1 part peroxide and not use it 24/7. Using it for bleaching whether directly or as a rinse as the dentist said is not good.
Well yes James, I tried the at home eye brow lift, not because of tik tok (I do not really look at this type of tik toks) but because of YOU, my skincare favorite Person! 😅😅
Do not worry, no major damage done, but I stopped after 2-3 times because indeed my hair was very stiff and I did loose a few … it grew back though!
How’s that for a progression?! 😂😂😂
I've tried at home lash curling and I honestly loved it 😭
That shirt is incredible!
As someone who is now at high risk for skin cancer because of sun damage, people who don't wear sunscreen and think that tanning regularly at the tanning salon is safe...it really isn't; I grew up in arizona and laying in the sun for hours and now I'm regretting it; being tan is not worth possibly getting cancer
Aww, your Pokemon top is so cute ♡
James! your Pokemon T is so cool!!!
Off topic, but where did you get that shirt?
LOVE all the pokémon in your video
I use a crest 5% hydrogen peroxide toothpaste every night but I mix it with another toothpaste at the same time because it gets this weird texture that drives me nuts. I picked this toothpaste up at the pharmacy I had no idea this was illegal in some countries! My teeth hardly get that white from it. I had no idea how unusual a 5% would be in a toothpaste o just randomly grabbed a whitening toothpaste
I did the at-home Amazon lash lifts quite a bit when they first got popular and it was hit or miss. Sometimes, it would turn out looking amazing and other times, the lashes wouldn’t be laying perfectly during the process and it would turn out uneven and messy. I never had irritation problems but after a year or so of doing it, I noticed my lashes appeared thinner and shorter. I decided to stop and let them rest/grow for a bit, but once they looked healthy, I never ended up doing it again. I really loved the look of the lift but it definitely damaged my lashes over time.
did you accidentally publish this one early? i was mid-watching it and it disappeared before and now it’s back!
His shirt!!! 😍😍😍
I use too and evey now and then I use peroxide and baking soda to whiten my teeth when brushing but as time goes by you may damage your enamel and your teeth will be ruined as time goes by but it does work just use once in a blue not every day. It really works. And electric toothbrush is better over all.
Yaay I was looking forward to this video that was accidentally uploaded 😄
Same lol I was so excited
I can’t imagine using an unregulated DIY product near my eyes. How could that risk possibly be worth the cost savings 😳
Not that I would try scalp popping, ouch!, but I do wonder if it also is stretching facial skin. At 52, I can assure you that you want to keep your elasticity as long as possible, don't yank at your head in general!
Yaay now I can comment about freckles! 🤣🤣
I was teased "for having dirt on my face" (my freckles) and so ever since freckles have been popular, Ive hated it so much🤣
People are so weird. Someone told me the shadow in the hollows of my cheeks was dirt. I just have high cheekbones. Another person tried to tell me the mole/beauty mark on my chin was a giant blackhead.
Aaah and the hydrogen peroxide makes me so anxious as someone who has two front fake teeth (Knocked out my adult teeth) I see absoloutely no warning for people who have fake teeth to NOT do this (I know you shouldn't do this in the first place but yeah) as it can quite literally disolve fake teeth not sure if thats 100% true but my mum will no let me use any teeth whitening stuff because of that like omg 😭 why can't people just leave stuff to the professionals
In my teen years I was very insecure about my teeth and used peroxide, but I never swished it, I used to soak cotton rounds in peroxide and tin foil to hold it on
WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR SHIRT❤ I love it so much
i've definitely done my own lash perms using kits but i've been pretty lucky,, i never really noticed my lashes being super crunchy i do recall brushing them with oils i'd use in my hair though LMFAOO that's probably not a good idea
Scalp popping about to make me shave my head fr
The poor girl that tattooed freckle my heart breaks for you.
So when my dentist finally started seeing patients again after the CV started, they actually had me wash my mouth by swishing hydrogen peroxide before they did my check up to kill the germs and bacteria in my mouth apparently. They did a mixture of it with water though so it wasn’t pure hydrogen peroxide.
OK loving that top
Beauty pageant people have been mixing peroxide and baking soda to brush their teeth for decades to whiten quickly.
Nobody said it didn’t work, just that it also causes harm to your teeth. Baking soda is actually worse than hydrogen peroxide, because it can scrub off your enamel over time. People do use 1,5% hydrogen peroxide as mouth wash, so that may not be as bad as baking soda.
@@JasminMiettunen I was just stating it's not a new thing. People have always used peroxide to bleach teeth, including dentists and most toothpaste in my area has baking soda, peroxide or both in it. I know it's terrible for the enamel but idk most people want white teeth at any cost and then once they've ruined them they get veneers or eventually false teeth. Kinda sucks that there's so much pressure around having white teeth. You can be great to your teeth and just naturally be yellow. Yellow teeth is related to dirty or bad tooth care even though that's not true.
Your top is so cute 😭
I am super grateful for my freckles, I think they’re adorable on anyone. 😍
