Here is EXACTLY why I took a disliking to MKBHD's review of the Fisker Ocean, By the way, I do not own an Ocean. I own a 3D Print farm. 5 years ago I got my first 3D Printer called a Dobot Mooz 2. It took me about 6 weeks to get my first "excellent" print. For about 2 weeks I was getting print filament jams, from improper use. I would not heat up the nozzle, not straighten the filament, etc. causing additional issues and failures. I also did not know to heat the bed before doing a leveling, etc. BUT after 2 weeks I got good prints, 4-6 weeks I was getting amazing prints. After about 2 months I found someone that did a RUclips review of the Dobot Mooz 2. She did a live unboxing, assembly, and then a first print live on her channel. Needless to say she did not have the printer time that I had to learn it, adjust, trial and error. She could not get it to print and claimed it was a bad printer. If I had watched this before buying my first printer I would not have bought this printer. So, my point. Watching the MKBHD review or other youtubers who have the Ocean for a short time and then do a review does not provide for an accurate review. I will add this. One big issue is Automotive software inconsistency. For example, windows or Mac OS. You can have full confidence going from Windows 10 to Windows 11, or the Mac OS products. There are slight differences but easily learned. With vehicles. you get into a BMW, then into a Tesla, then into an Ocean and there is no baseline consistency, no standardization. So, for any reviewer to get into a car and review immediately is not an accurate review. Then you go to a dealer with a used car section, there is no way they can accurately present a car. Anyway, that's my take on it. I do believe he damaged the company but more importantly his review damaged the owners of the Ocean that now see massive losses to their depreciation. NOT good, not good at all. Others who have owned their Oceans, learned the product, have newer firmware, many are very satisfied. His lack of knowledge and patience caused, at least partially, a lot of damage to the company and the owners investment.
I own a 2012 Fisker Karma. Great car but plagued with lots of problems. I own a collection of cars, so I deal with it. But if I could only own one or two cars, a Fisker would never be one of them. After the Karma fiasco, and years of money and R&D, Fisker had to nail this one from day one. They failed and it was totally avoidable. Fisker is a great designer and obviously a terrible business man.
I trust the owners of these cars opinions more than somebody who has never touched one's opinion based off another person who didn't really know anything about the car.
yeah they have new owners now over at Fisker. Buy some stock its only 13 cents. I have 7000 shares at 15 cents a share. Might take a few years but the stock will rise 💯

He said he wasn’t going to do the video/review out of courtesy and they should get the car sorted out then he’d try again. Don’t know if that second attempt ever happened. But the fact that they even thought a dumpster fire was ready to go out for media drives, is all I needed to know about Fisker’s umpteenth attempt at becoming a proper automobile company. Gonna fail again, and it certainly looks like this is happening. Investors: Stop throwing capital at this guy. Please.
Karma was definitely a design over form. Where Tesla seems to squeeze as much utility as possible, aero and generally appealing to men and women. Women tend to like a more subdue cute look and men like aggressive beasty look. The hybrid systems in my opinion solve the range anxiety issues where say charger stations aren't available every 150 miles like in California. Making Tesla really the only viable electric company. As much hoopla, hype there is about electric cars. Tesla is the only one with infrastructure and charging stations. NYC has none of that infrastructure but California and China does. NYC could turn parking garages into charging stations they prefer the old horse and carriage ways.
He sure didn't help. His review is very biased and uninformed. He didn't even have the latest software at the time he filmed cause he just picked up a random one at a dealer who didn't update it.
