      About 2 weeks ago a snow plow truck hit it. Now the car is most likely in a junkyard. The fix was still holding

    I have a 2007 civic. I installed a float switch in the reservoir. With a light inside dash to let me know if it gets low. I have 195000 miles on the car and it runs like the day I bought it. Bought the float on Amazon. I think it was for a BMW. All cars hould have this.

    I just bought a 2006 Civic with 125k miles on it. The seller told me the engine block leaks. I’m wonder how your fix has been holding up now that it’s been 6 years? My hope is for this to be my kids high school car, so it’s only going to be used around town close to home.

    JB Weld is great product. But your up against a osmosis type of leak in aluminum. When they cast the block something went wrong but not all 2006 blocks weeped and then cracked. So is it the type of Aluminum used or a bad mold that will destroy your engine???🐒

      My civic engine block cracked as well, I filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration , if they receive enough complaints they can force honda to recall the engines and fix it.

    Hello sir. I am a student and found out my car has a cracked engine block yesterday. I can't afford to replace the engine block as the mechanic suggested or buy a new car. I would be grateful if you could please give me any contact information of an auto-shop that does this (like you did in one of your videos using JB products) to fix a cracked engine block (even if it is temporary). It would be of great help in this tough time.....

      apparently Blue Devil engine block and radiator sealer works for many people.. just pour into engine coolant

  • @timrossi5991
    @timrossi5991 5 лет назад +3

    How did you drain the fluid from the block?

    • @victorvillasana3409
      @victorvillasana3409 5 лет назад

      Tim Rossi There should be a petcock (plastic bolt) at the bottom of the radiator, this will drain most of the coolant. Or if it's easier just undo the lower radiator hose .
