Kirsten, please don’t ever fear the number 13. When my Mum was dying I got her engagement ring which held 13 little diamonds. She noted the number and said that the ring had only brought her and my Dad good fortune, especially having their seven children. I have held onto that sentiment ever since. Years later when I was about to buy a home, sitting in a cafe mulling over my decision, I was handed a number 13 for my coffee. I took that as a good omen rather than a bad one. We can put whatever meaning we want onto things and block any bad meaning others may put on them. So be at peace, beautiful Kirsten, that all will be well. One of my favorite cottage tours. This cottage is a true testimony to beauty and comfort no matter what size home you have. Just pay attention to what you love, value and what find comfort in and even the smallest spaces can truly be a home.

I live by this. We live in a tiny cottage that’s a bit derelict but one day a picture of an old man polishing his very old car came to mind. I took that to mean to be grateful for what we have by cherishing it, looking after it.

What a cozy little place! The surrounding green hills dotted with daffodils, just breathtaking. The 2 precious lambs, be still my heart. 💗
I could easily live there for a few days. Cooking simple meals, reading a book with a glass of wine, watching the birds. The plus is how lovely the place is decorated with all the amenities one could need! How perfect!
That bed is like a little fairytale nook! I love it! Such perfect coziness on a midweek spring day 😍🌻🐇

I love that name "Puddleduck". The hut is so quaint and cozy. I thought the fabrics looked familiar. She has a way of putting different colors and patterns together and makes them look so good together. And the little babies are so cute and they were trying to talk to you. That's a great getaway. It's fascinating how rustic the cottage is on the outside, then on the inside, it's got beautiful floral fabrics, that cozy bed nook and all of the details within the cottage. The owners didn't leave anything out. Thank you so much for showing it to us!

This cottage may be tiny, but it makes up for it with its charm. The colors and fabrics are tastefully intertwined, and the bed area is out of this world. Simply stunning. Last June we went to Rutland after seeing your video of the beautiful cottages. My husband pushed me about in a wheelchair as I was having a second hip replacement a week later. Lots of laughs bouncing along the narrow pathways ♥️

I also like that tea room on the train - what a great idea! We once had a meal on an ancient train in Sunderland, which was decorared with old suitcases and old hats. It was so much fun.
The lambs were so adorable!! The cottage was perfect for a country getaway withe birds serenading!
You wouldn't expect that luxury and love of detail and splendour on a minitiature scale of the interior when looking at that rough wooden shell of that hut 😃!

From the exterior you would not envision how wonderfully outfitted the Shepherd’s hut is. The fabrics and colors were a joy, and appreciate you showing them and identifying. You appreciate the details, as do I.
The Moses pottery was beautiful. Tea on the train was really novel as well.

K&J, I only discovered your channel a few weeks ago thanks to RUclips putting it in my feed.
Since I am a quarter German, a quarter English and half French, these cultures interest me very much. (I'm American)
I have learned so much about England and almost feel like I have been there! I so love the little country towns especially.
With my mother being 1/2 German we had lots of German dishes from her kitchen. She made us potato pancakes with applesauce (and sometimes pork sausage too), smoked pork butt and cabbage, bratwurst sandwiches on rye bread, sauerkraut, spaetzle, warm potato salad, and several spicy cookies that I don't know how to spell! There were probably others but my memory fails me!
I am mostly disappointed with English cooking. I don't like mushy peas and they seem to include them with every dish! I do love the china and wallpapers and the decorating! The antique shopping is such fun!

The German language is logical and beautiful. I lived (I'm English) in the Heidelberg region for almost 11 years. I still miss aspects of my old German life. I agree, some English words are pronounced quite strangely! Thank you for the lovely videos. So nice seeing visitors/long-term 'visitors' appreciating my country. :) xo 🛖🐑🌳🌦

The Shepherds hut is decorated so beautifully. Such a cosy retreat the wallpaper is awesome. The name sounds glorious too “Lily red”. The fabrics are lovely as well. The blue colour is very pretty. Love the whole interior. They thought of everything when decorating. Haha “ Lush Clamping” perfect words ❤😊

Am 8. Mai geht's wieder los....ich fahre mit meiner Familie ...auf euer Anraten....nach Dorset.....in Winterborne stickland haben wir das finest retreats Manor cottage gebucht, und werden die Küste und Mapperzon erkunden. Im Herzen nehme ich euch mit.....bin schon soooo nervös.....aber hab es letztes Jahr geschafft....so hoffe ich daß es heuer genauso gut gehen wird.
