      @@FerreTrip Because the HMs for Flash and Fly are not mandatory for clearing roadblocks and there are no events scripted for when their respective gyms are beaten, both Brawly (Gym 2) and Winona (Gym 6) can be done out of order.
      You must defeat Brawly before you can face Norman, so Brawly can be your 2nd (after Roxeanne), 3rd (after Watson), or 4th (after Flannery) gym fight.
      You must defeat Winona before you can enter the Elite Four, so she can be your 6th (after Norman), 7th (after Lisa & Tate), or 8th (after Wallace) battle.
      That means that one possible order to defeat the gyms would be Roxeanne, Watson, Flannery, Brawly, Norman, Lisa & Tate, Wallace, and lastly Winona, with only Roxeanne and Norman in their correct position.

Everytime you enter the hall of fame there's a small chance that one of the gym leaders will call you for a rematch, they'll all have full teams with kanto and johto pokemon, and they'll all be double battles. Side note, Wally can also be rematched, but I'm not sure if he'll call you the same way the gym leaders do, or if he'll act like a regular trainer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Also, the gym leaders pokémon's level will varie depending on how many times you've rematched them.

    I did the glitzerpop thing for Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Jirachi, Mew and Deoxys. I was kind of annoyed I couldn’t trade over the last 2 because they weren’t “fateful encounters”. I got the GBA operator to just unlock the events to catch them normally lol

      What’s the GBA operator?

    • @joemck85
      @joemck85 9 месяцев назад

      @@eriklopez1234 GB Operator. It's a USB dock for plugging GB and GBA cartridges into a PC, which can read the ROM and read or write the save file. For GBA games you can also do the same tasks with a DS Lite, an R4 card and the "GBA Backup Manager" DS homebrew, which is the way I've been doing it.
      GB games are more complex to deal with though, with the most straightforward method I know of for getting at the save requiring a GBC Gameshark, the PC link cable it came with, and an old PC that has a parallel port. Though to avoid setting up an old PC just for doing that occasionally, I've been using a Gameshark to snapshot the game save, restore it onto a USB-compatible GB flashcart (EZFlash Junior does *not* work, I use a GB USB Smart Card), and then read the save off it over USB, or reverse the process to write it. It's just roundabout and annoying enough to make me consider getting a GB Operator.

Also allows you to create backups of the needed Pokemon in case you fuck up somewhere during the process. Also, the rabbit hole keeps going down when you look at the list of things you can do with corrupted Seedots.

  • @Peelster1
    @Peelster1 10 месяцев назад +7

    Leading off with Glitzer Popping. While technically you do not need to make backup clones of Dots and Pluses for the glitch to work, it would be extremely foolish not to do so. If you have your EVs of the only copy of Dots and/or Pluses set up do execute the code for one glitch, you will not be able to do the many, many other glitches which require different EVs on those pokemon. You also may make it not possible to use them to get the Egg to use Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE). ACE in Emerald allows you to use PC box names basically like a GameShark code but also uses the EVs on Dots and/or Pluses as a requirement. If you didn't make backup clones of Dots and Pluses when getting Mewtwo, you "might" be locked out of ACE. Papa Jefe has a couple of really good tutorial videos where he links pastebins created by a couple of other people that go more in depth about ACE. The method of obtaining ACE is the same as obtaining Mewtwo, but instead of hatching a Mewtwo you get a glitch that executes your ACE code.
    I'd also argue it's a glitch and not a secret. When I think of a game secret, I think of something hidden but intended, such as out of the way signs or devs names hidden in the game and not being discovered for decades.

But for Emerald, it might be harder for them to set their mod apart from others already out there.

    In the remakes you can get a gen 3-5 starter. It’s not really a secret, lots of people rechallenge the elite 4 for xp and money

    Yes, we can get one of Johto's starters in theory, but completing the pokédex is an (almost) impossible mission without cheating.

    I think if you early trade Macho Brace to train your Pokemon before the first badge, after you beat Roxanne and heading out of Rustboro City you meet May for a battle and she has a Torkoal in her team.

    i wanted to ask you chris, theres one pokemon in the entire pokedex of hoenn i never was able to catch as a kid and that is feebus i had help from a friend from a trade to obtain it but then evolving it was much worse then catching it so do you know how to obtain feebas through fishing? if so can you explain it through a video perhaps?

      Route 119 6 random water tiles fish with old rod gives better odds due to mechanics for good and old rod taking longer feebas has a 50% chance to appear in those random spots

      Every single square on the route has a small chance of even having the chance for Feebas. It's easy to find info online

    There is a way to trigger the Johto starter thing without having to complete the Hoenn dex. I never got the opportunity to actually trade Pokémon with anybody when I still played Emerald on my SP and I didn’t have a cable to trade with Ruby on my GBA (and I’ve never had Sapphire)…BUT I still triggered the Johto starter. Considering I only ever took the time to do it once…I think it actually relies on the amount of Pokémon caught NOT that it’s the completed Hoenn dex.
