All these years, thinking I know everything about my favorite Pkmn game, and there's still new things being surfaced.. well, I mean, the Pomeg glitch, that is lol
These aren't secrets, these are glitches. There's a difference.
Did you guys know….hold on…get this…that you can CHOOSE YOUR PLAYERS NAME when you begin the game?
Bro's headphones makes his integrated speakers on the gba sound good
The "misses" Johto soundtracks were for testing purposes, they were in the files of Ruby and Sapphire, and went unused.
Another fun thing that reminds ppl of the johto league in emerald is the fact that u can actually copy pokemon the almost exact way u can in gen 2 games
That subtle reference to Vsauce was genius
4:98 If you have watched John’s video on completing the Hoenn deck, you know that its completion is not easy
I never knew the Psy-chic was there near the Cycling road. :0
Man's about to fix emerald.
I think all of the music from GSC was used to test the sounds rather than having had encounters with the beasts planned.
Regarding the cable car, there was also a 1% chance that you'll see a Pokemon, probably Zigzagoon or Poochyena, I think.........
OMG! Thanks for the fisrt secret, I never thought about that
I was scrolling and landed on one of your videis when this popped up in my notifications. Clutch timing
In the remakes you can get a gen 3-5 starter. It’s not really a secret, lots of people rechallenge the elite 4 for xp and money
Yes, we can get one of Johto's starters in theory, but completing the pokédex is an (almost) impossible mission without cheating.
5:40 OMG DUDE I KNEW I SEEN HIM ONCE OR TWICE GROWINNG UP I KNEW I WASINT CRAZY!!
Hey Vsauce, Zigzagoon here
Did you know they were giving around about a 100? Mute in generation one like each time with green red blue and yellow. They gave out a few 1000 each 1 came with a Certificate and the ID number of the pokemon/trainer and there name
I think if you early trade Macho Brace to train your Pokemon before the first badge, after you beat Roxanne and heading out of Rustboro City you meet May for a battle and she has a Torkoal in her team.
Those music tracks were likely done for testing.
Anyone else ever see Latios/Latias while taking the gondola? Saw Latios once as a kid and freaked out. Can’t remember how many times I tried to make it happen again but gave up.
Okay, first time I knew all presented "secret", and almost all of them found myself while playing it... I definitely wouldn't call them obscure
Love the Persona 5 music 👌🏻🔥
Am I smelling an emerald legacy on the horizon?
i wanted to ask you chris, theres one pokemon in the entire pokedex of hoenn i never was able to catch as a kid and that is feebus i had help from a friend from a trade to obtain it but then evolving it was much worse then catching it so do you know how to obtain feebas through fishing? if so can you explain it through a video perhaps?
Route 119 6 random water tiles fish with old rod gives better odds due to mechanics for good and old rod taking longer feebas has a 50% chance to appear in those random spots
Every single square on the route has a small chance of even having the chance for Feebas. It's easy to find info online
I like how with the mew two glitch he was talking about modding in specific Pokémon with specific EV’s giving you a slightly better chance to get mew two… or hear me out… you’re nodding anyways just give yourself a mew two
The legendaries weren't "unnoticed" or anything, they were locked behind events or glitches
I dont understand why it takes so much steps for a mewtwo. Like back then, there was no youtube or enough internet sources to actually know how to get a mewtwo.
Oh yeah Glitzer Popping. Seems legit and not like those ridiculous cheats from 2006 online to get the magic muffler.
"Did you know there is an obsure secret to get Mewtwo in Emerald before E4?"
😲
"Using pomeg berry ACE glitch that everyone knows about"
😐
My god, the attention to detail was just different back then.
"you can get mewtwo before elite 4"
oh wow how do i do that
"you need a pomeg berry"
of course
There is a way to trigger the Johto starter thing without having to complete the Hoenn dex. I never got the opportunity to actually trade Pokémon with anybody when I still played Emerald on my SP and I didn’t have a cable to trade with Ruby on my GBA (and I’ve never had Sapphire)…BUT I still triggered the Johto starter. Considering I only ever took the time to do it once…I think it actually relies on the amount of Pokémon caught NOT that it’s the completed Hoenn dex.
Pokemon Emerald was peak Pokemon 😍
I can turn Seedot into Chikorita which is another Chikorita themed Pokemon Emerald event.
What was the music you used for #1? Sounds like an amazing remix of P5
So much of pain just to steam roll the elite 4 with Mewtwo? Hard pass.
Damn i should've used this back then to catch them all in emerald
Is that Persona music in Pokemon style?
I believe there was also special dialog if the beldum from steven was shiny
Emerald legacy confirmed
A reminder that bad eggs have extremely strong potential to fuck up your game in many unpredictable new and exciting ways
