The fact that this man let Joker live to be old. Literally let him make a career in killing and retire.
It's such an antiquated idea at this point. Batman's code is treated like it's a good thing most of the time but if it allows someone like the Joker to continue living, along with Batman fighting his own allies to save him, it's a bad thing and should be thrown out.

I think Joker's actions in Endgame deserved to be #1, above the Killing Joke, since it affects so many people in such a negative way.
I accidentally read the Killing Joke as a way too young kid. Wouldn’t recommend it, definitely made a lasting impression.

Wow, you must have been a brilliant or abused kid because the way Moore wrote it would make it really difficult to understand any of the frightening parts. Yah know, since the really dark parts aren't even in the story and intentionally left for the reader to fill it in themselves.
There is also that time he shamed the media by interrupting a reality game show by threat of death which resulted in the show to become popular only to seconds later reveal that no one was in the threat of death in the first place just so that he could basically kink shame the whole media, which resulted in the show getting cancelled and the guy who runs it being under arrest.
We need a real Joker to set up the media like this today.

Worst Joker moments. . . well, Emperor Joker and The Bat Who Laughs exist. Emperor Joker tricked the 5th dimensional imp into giving nearly all his omnipotent power to Joker, allowing him to reshape reality into a madhouse, literally. Even Batman was driven past the breaking point during Emperor Joker's reign, driven mad enough that Superman has to erase Batman's memories of Emperor Joker in order to bring Batman back. Then The Bat Who Laughs, the Batman who was tortured into watching families be murdered exactly like his parents and watching the then orphaned children be turned into Joker zombies. Pushed over the edge, Batman kills Joker and is hit with the Joker toxin in the process which slowly and inevitably turns Batman into The Bat Who Laughs.
7:30 The Man Who Laughs is also an old horror film that inspired Joker's look.

I fell like every joker depiction past the first brings it's own thing to the rule. Mark hamill was great, heath ledger was chilling, Jach nicholson was excellent, and joaquin phoenix was so disturbing
Heath ledgers joker is trash... Its overrated and boring... Joaquins joker was the best one besides the Gotham joker and we only seen Joaquin as joker for like 20 mins lol... But that's the joker we need more of.

I disagree with number 1. That’s not the worst he has done. If anything it seems tame compared to some of the other moments he has had.
Nah I'd say no 1 is deserved, maybe it's because this is RUclips and toy can't say what joker actually did to Batgirl, what Gordon say him doing to his daughter. And he did it all just to prove a point, not for good never ending battle with Batman. S*xual assault as a form of violence instead of depravity is def no 1 for a comic book villain
@@cassellclark4233 no, sexual assault is terrible, yes, but considering the other options... the things joker did in Endgame... it's just... way, way worse. Being turned into a zombie is probably worse than sexual assault because it's effectively just murder. Sexual assault, yes, you get traumatized, but you don't f*cking die. Sure, the gas isn't lethal, but I'd argue it's zombification effects might as well be death. Meanwhile, Batman vs. Superman's events are also completely awful. It was a mass genocide, so many innocent people died. Would you rather 1 man be raped or 10,000 men be murdered? Yeah, it's a pretty obvious choice. The rape is bad, but literal mass genocide is worse.

A person dying in an instant is still better than the person not being able to live any longer with themselves. A trauma can really make a person's life hell. And I believe a hellish life is worse than being killed instantly.
But at the same time, the amount of kills joker has done definitely puts those atrocities on top of killing joke. Those are a LOT of deaths to justify one person's assault

I think there was a story where Joker stole 99% of mxyzptlk's power, and it went about as well as you'd expect.
He killed Batman over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over........ you get it he killed him in every way imaginable and more, He reshapes reality and more he has no limits so he can do anything he even trumatizes batman even after everything is over that deserves at least no 2 in my eyes

One of Joker's most defiable schemes that deserves an honorable mention here is the series of events that unfolded prior to the "Batman Beyond" series, which are displayed in the 2000's feature length film, "Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker." In fact, I was somewhat surprised that it didn't make 10-8 at least, but I suppose the Joke is one of the most despicable evil geniuses of his universe with many horrifying stories to tell.

For me Injustice should go to number one. It's really One Bad Day from The Killing Joke- (putting Superman in the same position his started in with him losing a wife and unborn child) but then what makes it go even further is that it takes that bad day to well, also making Superman being the cause of a nuclear level of death and destruction atop that and with that the Joker successfully (unlike with Gordon) causes Superman to lose his sanity.

The killing joke is certainly horrific but nuking an entire city just to hurt one person seems worse.
I have a few issues with the list.
#1 - Emperor Joker and The Bat Who Laughs should've been on the list, with the former near the end and the latter near the middle.
#2 - Killing Joke is ranked way too high and Citywide Infection way too low. Goddammit, Citywide infection was practically killing an entire city by turning them into zombies, and Killing Joke is one man going insane. Here's my revised version of the top five.
#5 - A Day at the Fair
#4 - Bat Who Laughs
#3 - Emperor Joker
#2 - Joker vs. Superman
#1 - Endgame

That Joker who had his face cut off, terrifying. I think that is the most crazed and psychotic Joker made (I haven’t read a lot of Joker but I know this one is crazy) and I really think the death of the Bat Family is some heavy stuff. Also, Endgame is TRULY the worst because the entire city is mad with no cure. Not Jason, that only hurts Batman, Killing Joke only affects like 5 people, but an entire city is something else. Sure, making Gordon a puppet of madness is bad but all of this stuff is just nothing compared to making an entire city horrifically violent with no cure, and he doesn’t want to do it to play with Batman, he is just done. So he won’t stop. EVER.

The juxtaposition of the characters of Joker and Batman are probably one of the greatest literary duos in any fiction. Both spawned by tragedy outside of their control. Both uncaring to die (though I could picture, and have seen, Joker being 100 times more willing to be like, _"SAVE ME, BATMAN,"_ for the 0 and ½ times we've seen Batman say that to Joker).
Batman: On a suicide mission to protect his city from thugs and super-criminals, throwing himself into danger and justifying his revenge as catharsis for the pain of loosing his parents, so that no one else (or, at least, _fewer_ people) have to feel that pain.
Joker: On a self centered mission of revenge on the city that disfigured him, causing as much pain as he can to feel better about his own pain, because murder is the mission. Ruin lives, as his life was ruined.
One would rather you live in fear, the other would rather you die laughing.
Would you rather be suicidally depressed, or genocidally happy?
