Joker LOVES Batman. Like I actually think he's in love with him. So I wouldn't put it past him. Lol he pretty much does everything to get his attention, hates Tim Drake because he's the only Robin who Joker hasn't truly traumatized. And he does THAT to get Batmans attention. Read 3 jokers. Joker forces Batman to face his trauma JUST so that Joker can be the cause of any and all of Bruce's pain. Dude is obsessed.

The version of Queen Bee Young Justice's was based on was an enemy of Justice League International. Suprisingly Klarion is actually Etrigan's enemy rather than Fate's though he's not too very consistent (fitting of a lord of chaos I suppose). The funny part is that Jared Leto's Joker actually rocks the exact same dragon tattoo on his back (but in black-and-white instead of red-green), but in the cut of the movie we got we only see it a bit after he jumps into the acid vat to save Harley, and his shirt starts to melt...
There is some Behind the Scenes footage of that moment from different angles with more light, where we see more of the dragon tattoo than we do in the movie proper.
It was also confirmed that it was the same dragon on 2 officials pieces of merchandise: the METAL Die-Cast Joker statue (shirtless), and the DC's COLLECTIBLE SS Joker statue sculpted by the very talented James Marsano.
We might get a better look at the DCEU Joker's back in the Ayer cut, somehow? Not sure what the circumstances might be, but there are quite a few extra scenes with the Joker in it, after all... This is really making me ponder on what makes the Joker seem like the Joker. Like, I would hand on heart swear that Cameron Monaghan's "Not-The-Joker" character from Gotham looks more like the Joker than Jared Leto's incarnation... but he doesn't even have green hair, or the name, and he looks Joker-like right from his first appearance. HOWWWWW.

It felt so real watching it due to the world Arthur was living in and how his entire life is falling apart causing him to turn into this villain. However, I am actually going to DEFEND LETO... As this is an issue that plagues Batman! It seems NO ONE can make a Batman Movie without JOKER or WITHOUT HARLEY QUINN...
Batman has one of the largest Rouges Galleries of Any Super Hero - Yet every time a movie is made, JOKER OR HARLEY QUINN MUST BE REFRENCED OR APPEAR! And that's a major issue....
Take ALL THE SUICIDE SQUAD MOVIES... Harley Quinn is in all of them, She is in the games... She is PART O FTHE SUICIDE SQUAD... Screw the fact that The Suicide Squad PERDATES HARLEY QUINNS EXISTENCE PERIOD... Studios (Warner Bros.) are constantly playing Fan Service without understanding the property!
While I have yet to watch it - Even THE BATMAN has a nice End Credit scene where a NEW VILLAIN could be introduced and everything seems set up for HUSH... An Iconic villain that MANY FANS, Including myself want to see on the big screen... BUT NO - ITS THE F**KING JOKER AGAIN! CONFIRMED... THE DIRECTOR CONFIRMED ITS THE F**KING JOKER!
Give us a Joker who Lives, Who Batman refuses to kill, In ONE SINGLE MOVIE... Then have him be nothing more than a reference for a while, A Background part, Give us HUSH, PENGUIN, RIDDLER, FALSE FACE, THE MNAD HATTER, Then bring Joker back to the forefront... Having planned and waited and he was portrayed to have done in the animated "Killing Joke"
Constantly throwing him and Harley Front and Centre to play Fan Service KILLS THE THREAT! It becomes teh thing the the Joker should never be... BOOORING!

It sad, there is so much potential in the DC universe... But no one seems to be able to get past Joker / Quinn!
Marvel are facing a similar problem, Robert Downey Junior was so good as Iron Man, Many fans seem to have fallen off since he decided to leave... Yeah, I'd take a million Jokers with "damaged" tats on their forehead, when compared to this _Trickster (Dead By Daylight) wannabe ass, lazy eye-having ass _*_Jonkler_* with from... "another universe" -YEAH, I HOPE SO!

All these Jokers suffer from bad writing/dialogue, not the performance, not the visual (except for Letto's), and not the setting.

I think Jokers should be purely rated on how funny their jokes would be if removed from the criminal context.

For the Young Justice version there's something they could play on that might be interesting. "MY multiple personalities." What if it's like there's personalities that we just don't see? Like you said YJ skips over a TON of events between seasons 1 and 2.

This is the first take of yours i disagreed with. I like Young Justice Joker.
I think the issue often arises when they add Joker in with other DC characters thay have powers. Joker works best in more grounded stories, but i didnt think his inclusion or portrayal here was all thay bad. He isnt really a main villain, he is a side character in the show

Joker as a criminal mastermind is actually a relatively recent development. For a long time, he was just an impulsive madman who just wanted to kill people and get attention. He wasn't anything like Leto's Joker but he also didn't do everything for a reason. Hell, the death of Jason Todd was a spur-of-the-moment decision because someone delivered a tied-up Robin to him and he only realised after the fact that Batman would 100% kill him if he caught him after that.

Letos joker acts more like black mask from the animated stuff like under: the red hood. If we put a black skull mask on and took off the grills bros literally him. But he would also be a cool black mask for like a live action arkham origins (spoilers black mask is joker in that sorry). Id say her really did have potential but multiple factors really just cause it to no longer be "the joker" and more like you're average gta 5 roleplay character

For what I ve read about OG Joker he was just another villain fighting Batman with and over phuns nowadays that Batman is so serious, yet fighting a mad clown is something that has to have a balance. Joker and Batman just cant both be all about darkness or phuns. There has to be a balance

Young Justice Joker has that Boondocks animation and expressions. I think that's why he's so off, he doesn't move or express like The Joker normally does.

He has his fans, but I think the CW dollar store Joker that is Jeremiah Valeska is quite honestly pretty terrible as well. He's not as bad as Leto's, but he cuts it pretty close, and I never once asked myself "why won't DC let them call this character the Joker?" because the way they handled him was bad enough to warrant that restraint imo.

    • @randallflagg3700
      @randallflagg3700 7 месяцев назад +2

Jeremiah Valeska wasn't from the CW, *Gotham* was on FOX. And sure, Jérôme was the better Valeska twin, but Cameron Monaghan still did a great job with Jeremiah, especially in season 4
(I love his look in the last episode, even if it's a bit of a controversial one).
Also, they did call Jeremiah the Joker in the official subtitles, and in some promo material, so in a way he became an official Joker, just like Marquis Jet from *Batwoman* season 3... now that one sucked, his story was basically "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker" but ultra cheap and missing all the cool parts.
Marquis Jet did have some nice suits that were cool callbacks to previous iterations of the characters, including very recent ones like the orange Joaquin Phoenix one from *Joker* (2019) which came out only a couple years before Batwoman season 3 (2021-2022).
But aside from that, he was probably the worst live action proto-Joker.
I mean, I'm one of the very rare DC fans who doesn't outright despise Leto's Joker (I actually kinda enjoyed his redemption in Justice League Snyder Cut, and I really want to watch the SS Ayer cut some day), but Cameron Monaghan's proto-Jokers from *Gotham* were, IMHO, muuuuch better characters than the DCEU Joker.

I actually prefer Jeremiah over Jerome 😭 it’s really close tho, I just like him a bit more. I find him more unsettling especially in season 5 episode 7.
