Eternals 2 is rumored to be in early development right now. Slated for a 2027 release. It’s a pretty good accurate rumor.

This movie has such mixed reviews that are all over the place. I actually love this movie. People say it's stupid slow, I love the pacing that gives everything more breathing room than just being another rumpedy pumpedy action movie made for short attention spans. I felt the acting, writing, music, cinematography was all such a genuine feeling. Visual effects and cinematography were ridiculously good. VFX were insanely consistent as well throughout the entire film which does not happen all the time. Usually they only save the highest quality work and renders for the most cinematic or action packed scenes.

I actually really like it, but there are a few things that bother me, or that I think could have been better. The deviant in particular could have been a much more interesting character, considering he has the memories of both Gilgamesh and Ajax, so he knows the eternals didn't know, the Celestials are to blame, and that they are trying to stop the emergence. It would have been so interesting to keep him alive, seeing he has the millions of years of memories of Ajax. Now with Thena, she suddenly controls the mad weary, when again, it would have been really interesting to see a conversation where the eternals tell Mad Weary Thena that they know, and are trying to fix it. Or the fact that none of them ever questioned why Sprite never aged, they could've at least told us why they thought she didn't. Or why Druig just comes back completely unharmed after Ikaris said he killed him, and the fact he could've just put Ikaris to sleep, like we know he did to Thena. Or how Phastos seems to have always hated Ikaris, but it was never shown before, or how they couldn't beat Ikaris together, but then he suddenly can alone, like, idk, tell us he realized he could use the sphere technology to drain his energy, done. I still really like the movie, the acting, the aesthetic, the pacing, I think it's a good movie, but it could've been so much better with a few changes. Plus, this trailer ruined the Ikaris twist, but that's more a complaint for the marketing guys.
I saw the movie for free and I still want $12.99 to be put in my pocket because I sat through it

I don’t know why this movie is hated by others. I really enjoyed it. I think it has the best cinematography out of any marvel movie. Has the best use of imax scenes.

I can say a few points - I already don't like the idea of riding horseback - but I get it's from another time or place or something. Also I just don't get how the earth has geological problems simply because people came back to earth. Also what would people coming back to earth matter in terms of the villains of eternals anyway? It's these hinges that maybe would make me lead into it further, but mostly - it's not really interesting enough to have a grip in. It's no iron man trailer nor avengers one. I want to see action and characters together. This trailer didn't show me who the eternals are. I know what makes a good movie and trailer, but this one seemed not to have the budget and attention of the winners - for good reason! Those are their moneymakers, rather than this sidenote of a movie. Not that it's not a good movie - it's just who would watch it?

@Alex_96 For starters, Icarus was completely nerfed and I think we all know why that is. Second, people are sick of forced diversity and the homosexual crap. Third, the pacing was atrocious and there seemed to be more focus on being PC than delivering a solid, well polished story. The source material was completely canned all to promote a current political agenda and movement, so for us actual Eternals fans who grew up reading the comics, it was sad to see. The thing that's a bit like poetic justice about it all? Let's not beat around the bush, "diversity" is just a shorter and prettier way of saying, "less to no straight, white men (and sometimes women)." Yet, the majority of people who would have instantly recognized this and took their kids to see it would be straight, white males. 🤦 So therein lies a huge reason why this flopped. They made it clear that this was a "diverse" movie made for "diverse" people. Well, when what could have been, your paying customers, are 90%+ "non-diverse" you've sort of shot yourself in the foot haven't you? I find it funny and gratifying to be honest.

My favorite marvel movie since Infinity War. Chloé made an incredible film. Such brilliant craftsmanship from the whole of production as well. I'm so annoyed at how people overlook the quality of this film. I just hope Marvel doesn't turn away from this because the talent here is astounding and we need more Marvel directors to take as much care as Chloé did.
I just watched this movie, and I have to say as doubtful as I was. Eternals are by far better than anything I expected. For me it’s better than most of the previous marvel movies. Looking forward for 2nd one

I watched the movie. I deemed the movie is better than I expected because it have many wonderful and meaningful storylines and good performances (such as visual effect). This movie deserved more love and respects in spite of the mixed reviews.
Yeah me too , I can’t believe I listened to critics and internet trolls and never went to watch it when it came out . When I watched it way way later on streaming service my jaw dropped because of how much I loved it .

truth is...it was somewhere there with captain marvel on the bottom. Characters were so PG13 it hurt, dialogues lame, fight scenes triple lame, Angelina playing herself (woman that needs a shrink) in a superhero suit. It was a good movie for children. So if you are one, enjoy it as you were the intended audience for this one.

Just watched the externals, the graphics are so freaking cool holy. Prolly best in mcu so far? And the story of how the universe came to be was really interesting as well. Really excited for the second one!

Rumor has it that Captain America 4 coming next May will pickup directly after the events of Eternals. Tiamut will be the source of Wolverines adamantium claws.
Really enjoyed this one, was great to see it in IMAX on release. It has its flaws, but I love that it didn't just feel or look like just another MCU movie. A grander and more operatic tone, distinct aesthetic style / art direction, and deliberate pacing, set it apart from any/all other MCU movies. And for that alone, it gets a lot of credit from me.

I really enjoyed the movie, especially the scenes where both the CGI effects and the natural settings are at their finest.
I don't understand where all the hate was coming from. They said it was the scriptwriting, that the eternals don't talk and act the way a matured 7,000 year-old person should. It was heavily implied in the movie that they are not humans but synthetic beings that were programmed and are incapable of evolution thus explaining why their personalities are consistent from Stone Age until the present day. Seriously I'd rather have their messy relationships and family drama rather than watch 10 Visions having a debate about saving the world.

Ep 1: how Eternals eternals were made by showing they were made by mutant x gene for being comic accurate which wouldn't even create the Android plot hole like the movie did and to hint for the mutants.
Ep 2-4: Eternals experience in earth and how they got separated.
Ep 5-14: Story of every Eternals' experience after they got separated.
Ep 15-17: Story focusing on Emergence.

To be fair that’s exactly as it is in the comics, the celestials threatened to destroy earth completely if the eternals didn’t follow their commands and the celestials are one of the most Strongest beings in the marvel universe

This was such an amazing movie seriously. Watching this again and knowing what actually happened.....the direction, the scoring, the cast, the effect, and everything.. it's sooooo graaaannnnddddd!!!! Few bumps and loopholes but no worries, it's an amazing movie ^_^

I was so excited to see this movie I really love the eternals especially the eternals in the comics. To see the eternals in the big screen was so awesome because we never had an eternal TV show or movie and this is the first eternal movie ever so it’s pretty cool I saw it

I was putting off watching this probably cause of my bias of the previous MCU movies and wasn’t ready yet for the new characters/major plot themes but I honestly enjoyed. In fact, I loved it. It was good.
