“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

The way this trailer was set up, I thought that Strange would be suffering the consequences of opening the multiverse for Spiderman in No Way Home. I thought new realities and universes were spilling through and that he would join forces with Wanda to stop the incursion. And then Wanda would compare herself to Strange, realizing he was applauded after breaking universes when she was condemned for mind-warping Westview - then she would have her villain arc. *I was deadass wrong*

It's really incredible how Marvel decided to put Doctor Strange later into the MCU and kept him even after Avengers and is using him as a link for progressing between the phases. Really clever.

tbf marvel follows comic book stories with their own interpretations on certain events and characters.
After infinity war, it was pretty clear especially after purchasing fox studios, and after Thanos was defeated, that the next ramp up of threat would require the X-Men's help via multiverse/spiderverse.

It’s beautiful
My issues with the movie 1 year later:
1. Dr. Strange was sidelined in his own movie
2. Mordo was set up as the villain in the first movie and this sequel completely disregards that, by showing another variant of Mordo we’ve never met
3. This movie acts as a sequel to WandaVision yet ignores everything that happened in that show, and has Wanda going through the same arc again
4. Dr. Strange only visits one other universe and it’s not that different
5. Illuminati was lame, and doesn’t use cameos well like No Way Home did to move the plot forward
6. America Chavez is so pointless in this movie and takes up to much screen time when she adds nothing to the film
7. If you didn’t watch WandaVision, you will have no idea what is happening in the movie or why Wanda took a 180 personality change since Endgame. Disney+ is hurting the MCU when you have to pay to watch a show for a movie that can’t stand on its own without a prerequisite. Especially if the show isn’t popular and the new characters aren’t developed or received well. This is one of many reasons why The Marvels will underperform. One is required to watch Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, and WandaVision I guess.

This worries me. I was just getting ready to watch the movie. Iron Man and Doctor Strange are my too favorite super heroes from MCU. Everything I've read about the movie so far makes it seem like Wanda overshadows Strange in this movie, and I wanted to see Strange grow in power and become more badass.
@@gracialonignasiver6302 yes that’s basically what happens. It’s nice to see Wanda not be weak anymore and actually be the Scarlet Witch, but maaan she takes over this movie.
The best way to summarize this movie is Dr. Strange goes on a side quest to protect some girl from a crazy woman who wants to use the girl’s power to get access to her imaginary kids that actually exist in another universe.
What annoyed me the most is all it took for America to control her powers is for Dr. Strange to say “believe in yourself”. Couldn’t she try a little earlier before all the people sacrificing their lives?
The way Scarlet Witch delivers "that doesn't seem fair" line is just something else for me. I'm so ready to see her raging with her full potential as the Scarlet Witch in this movie.

I love how serious this trailer is in Marvel's standards. No jokes at all, everything is in chaos. Also, Sam Raimi definitely nailed the "scary" aspect of the movie
I agree that it's a more serious tone than previous MCU movies, and I'm all for it. I'm sure it's because Raimi is involved.
It also looks like it's a warped, disturbing kind of scary and not The Conjuring with Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, which I like.

This Trailer was freakin GOATED!! Literally hyped up the whole fans. But the movie didn't give justice to this Trailer.
I like how the trailer makes it out like dr strange caused some multiverse destruction that he's forced to fix along with being punished by some multiverse higher-ups, but the movie is basically about some multiverse traveling kid who's being chased down by a crazy witch lady who wants to see her non existent kids.
The trailer definitely crafted a much better story than than the actual film.
Right?! Doesn’t even feel like a Dr Strange movie. No consequences for Stephen doing that spell for Peter. Wong says “you opened the doorway between universes, and we don’t know who or what will walk through it” Why not have the movie focus on Strange teaming up with Wanda to travel the multiverse to fix the mess he caused, while stopping Mordo from trying to kill Strange? Way better than the one we got with Chavez…

Then she suddenly learned to use her powers after Strange gives her the “generic pep talk” of just believe in yourself and you can suddenly stop Wanda at the very end of the movie. I just don’t see how I could fit her in a better rewritten version.
The fact that Sam Raimi is the director is enough that this movie is gonna be great👏
Let's just hope some invisible Hollywood force doesn't turn the tables and makes Raimi look bad like how Arad did it in the Spider-Man 3 days.

Look, I really liked this film. I know it has a few iffy writing decisions and reshoots that may have hindered parts of the final product and it wasn't exactly what we wanted it to be, hell it doesn't even feel that important to the overarching MCU Story considering it barely taps into the Multiverse or any important parts of it at least, but it was fun and had a lot of great qualities. But man, this trailer made it look much better...

Marvel has outdone itself with the trailer. I'm sure it's going to be one of their best movies. Cumberbatch is perfect for the role as Dr. Strange. I can't wait for it.

Say what you will but I actually thought this film was really good. The main thing people didn’t like was the lack of more universes but at the end of the day what we got was pretty cool. It still felt like a Sam Raimi movie and Wanda was fab. If I had to compare maybe I’d put the first one slightly above this, but only just.
The hype for this movie was better than the actual movie. They did Wanda so wrong in this movie. I really miss Wanda. I hope we see her again in the Mcu.
Only someone like Elizabeth Olsen can deliver a line like “That doesn’t seem fair” both so sincerely but also kind of menacingly

I am of the opinion that Phase 4 wasn't bad, all the movies were at least. I only missed BW, Eternals, She-Hulk and Hawkeye

This trailer is absolutely terrifying, no jokes, all seriousness and focused straight to the plot. Love how they revealed more of these, means there could be so much more to be revealed. Can't wait to see this movie.

The way they set up this trailer made it look like Strange would suffer the consequences of his actions, allowing an Incursion to happen on his earth and bring about the eventual introduction of Nightmare into the MCU.

This was actually a really good trailer, showed a lot of the chaos that’s about to unfold without actually revealing too much.
You’re right and if you pay attention a lot of it is only a few scenes chopped up to seem like more of the movie. Check out Wanda’s outfits, Dr Strange’s scars, the locations, and it’s really only like 4-5 scenes.

Well music is generally what makes a movie truly great in my opinion.
Seen lots of sub-par movies that had wonderful music which kept me interested.
Not everyone’s the same though & that’s okay.

It's actually really interesting. You walk away from a lot of trailers knowing at least the basic plot of the movie. Everything in this trailer (other than the opening voiceover) happened in the movie but in a completely different context than implied by the trailer.
Probably the last trailer I saw that did that so effectively was _The Phantom Menace_. And it too implied a much better movie than we got.
When I saw this trailer, I only thought Wanda was going to be in the movie. I didn't think she would be the whole movie. I loved it!

Strange tries to fix stuff making it worse, also his other variants also mess up stuff like supreme strange who destoried his whole universe. He is taken in by Mordo to the illuminati. Wanda finds a variant but she can't take her kids
