That's just how I took it, at least. And keep in mind, this scene may play a bit different in the actual movie.

@@antonioestark7033 He probably knows a fair bit, so he's asking whether or not he needs to catch her up to speed. Also, she is the Scarlet Witch and is in possession of the Darkhold/Necronomicon. She is going to know a few things just from reading that one tome.

the movie itself was good, at least for some people, but I would agree that the Trailers and Teasers took the hype way too far for a movie that isn’t as good as Endgame or IW.

True. I hated how Sam Raimi directed the movie. He's overrated af. And the writer butchered Wanda and Strange. They should have let the writers of WandaVision write the movie's plot instead or stick to the original plot.
@@cloverofmashiho they didn’t let him fully direct. The chucky director was the original screenplay writer but he was scrapped for what we could assume was getting too scary. So they made raimi tone it down 10 folds and even he can get more creative than this.

From Shuma, Sinster Strange, 616 Mordo, Zombie Defender Strange, theories on it being Nightmare, and even the Marvel Legends line using Rintrah as their BaF.

This trailer was such an Age of Ultron moment where it sold us a completely different movie than what we got. I was so hyped for this and looking back, I can't believe I let myself get tricked again.
Just searched this teaser to say this. The end of Spider-Man felt so dark and consequential that I figured the impending incursion would have gotten Strange into deep trouble but not have ANYTHING to do with Wanda. This gave off such a dark, butterfly-effect cosmic horror/thriller vibe and I was so happy that they were seemingly going to give us that. What we got was fine but everytime I remember seeing the multiverse creep in at the end of Spider-Man and you feel Strange fearing what comes next... and then seeing this teaser immediately after the movie gave me chills. What we got fell supremely flat in comparison. This teaser did NOT match the tone of the film. Also reminds me of the Suicide Squad teaser and how it was portrayed to be tragic and dark. Oh well.

I was also very disappointed, but I have a theory about it. When he says that his universe wasn't like that until he lost but won't say to whom, I think that it was 838 Steven that he "lost" to. I figure that 838 Steven tried to dreamwalk into Sinister Strange and he tried to fight him back but lost, allowing 838 Steven to take over which caused that incursion. And since Reed Richards uses the exact phrase that we see in the trailer, for a different Strange, I think its a decent theory.

This trailer is really good because you thought something else was going to happen but when you watch the movie your like “oh wow so this is who the villain is”
Honestly I really liked the misdirection but I get some people didn't like it
I understand the purpose was to misdirect the audience, but they did wayyy to much misdirection. It almost felt like a completely different movie than I was promised

I did not like the bait. The trailer's version of the movie was 100x better. That's why the movie was pretty disappointing to me when they decided to shift it into a different direction. Like , really?😭 Hyped us all up. And tbh, i was tired of Wanda before the movie began lol.

@@echo_z319 Nah they should be compared. Tony's always been overrated he's not on Strange's level. Science CAN match up to magic surprisingly you just have to be smart enough to implement it. Reed, Doom, Tchalla in the comics, Shuri in the Mcu, Amadeus Cho (Helen from Age of ultrons little bro), Peter Parker all far outclass Tony in that department. Character wise I'd say he's better but Strange has been in like 3 films plus a cameo in Ragnarok and a What if episode or two. Already he's pretty much as complex a character as Tony.

This can easily be the darkest and most serious movie of the MCU. With serious characters like Strange and Wanda. I love the turnaround to more dark movies by the MCU 👏🏼

They did say this would be the first MCU horror movie. Although that was when Scott Derrickson, who directed the first movie, was still attached to the project. But Sam Raimi is even more horror-inclined than he is so, I think I'm going to be watching this through my fingers, I'm a scaredy cat :-D don't normally go to horror movies but I ain't missing good MCU stuff.
@@Slingblade87 well, it's hard to do horror since they have magic and powers and stuff. It has to be somewhat a lovecraftian horror but who does that in marvel anyway. They also need to lure the children to watch so I think they may turn it down a notch.

I watched the movie and I liked it. But I couldn’t help to feel that the trailer was leading me in a direction that was better than the movie went with. Still a great movie, just thought it was going to focus on other things

@@kg7219 You know I used to disagree with what you said at around 2016-2018 but nowadays I can totally get what you're saying. Looking back on the MCU projects (both old and new) they do seem mostly formalized. Yeah SOME were able to break the mold somewhat (Iron Man 1, Incredible Hulk, Infinity War) but overall the MCU has definetely become stale, and I think phase 4 is what's made this more obvious then ever (NWH is the best they've got so far and even that's just ok at best).
@@kg7219 most of the MCU movies are mediocre films. They definitely aren’t masterpieces but they can still be fun and entertaining to watch. I just see them as fun comic book movies and I don’t take them too seriously. They’re not gonna change my life watching them. They are for kids. But they still are entertaining, popcorn eating fun kind of movies.
If you see it as big corporate shlock I don’t blame you, but sometimes the comity can be better in certain situations such as the marvel movies. Imo at least.
If you guys notice, Wanda's costume from Wandavision series & in this trailer is different. A movie version upgrade, looks dope!

But God is so good and merciful that He provided a way for us to escape hell. It's a free gift and all you need to do is accept it. Jesus is coming back very quickly and biblical prophecy is being fulfilled at unprecedented rates. Your next breath isn't promised. Now is the accepted time. Now is the day of salvation! Jesus is the only way to the Kingdom of heaven. And He is the only name that will save you.

Yeah, people thought "endgame" is gonna be the last MCU movie, but there are so much more heroes from Marvel's catalogue in the comics to adapt and tell stories with.

This movie and No Way Home basically confirms that every conceivable Marvel timeline exists parallel and simultaneously to the one we've watched over the last 12 years, not only might crossover again, but definitely will bring more than a few surprises such as X-Men, Fantastic 4 and more! It has BEEN confirmed for YEARS, not only back in the first Doctor Strange Movie do we learn about how the MCU's multiverse is infinite but we also know that the MCU takes place in the comics multiverse and this is without talking about Deadpool being in the MCU and how Charles Xavier has been confirmed for this movie confirming X-Men character, and also Loki's ending led us to having an infinite amount of branches being created in the timeline of the MCU
Marvel logic let’s just mix and match different characters and come up with dumb stories that no one likes and that will never ever be nominated for Oscar’s.!!!

@@dando4515 that’s exactly what I said! No Way Home had no impact on this movie whatsoever. They made it seem like it was a big event, which it had the potential to be and yet it wasn’t. Spider-Man was mentioned once and it was pointless dialogue. It didn’t even feel like a Dr. Strange movie because so much was going on.
I thought Strange and Wanda would team up and actually travel throughout different multiverses like the Fox X-men/ F4 universe and Raimi Spider-verse (since he’s the director) to fix Strange’s mistakes and he would develop as a person. I didn’t get why Wanda was the villain. It should’ve been Mordo like he was teased to be in the first Dr. Strange movie, which set up a great sequel for a good multiverse story and conflict between him and Strange.
America Chavez is fine I guess, if you need someone to help you travel throughout the multiverse, but I didn’t like her origin story. It felt rushed, wasn’t developed well and sideline the main story. Also couldn’t Strange just do that magic circle thing where he moves his hands and walks anywhere in the universe with no help? The Illuminati leak kinda ruined the experience. Now I knew who was going to be in it.
I was really rooting for Christine and Stephen and was sad they didn’t end up together. I had moved on and accepted that. However he apparently still has feelings for her when she hasn’t been mentioned since 2016? All their chemistry was gone from the first movie. Hopefully Marvel does Clea and Strange’s romance justice, hopefully a third movie which will complete his trilogy and not drag his character’s movies on like they did with Thor.

This movie is so good, story is good everything is perfect. Some people just didn't like it because of their own expectations. Dude really expected tom cruise to be iron man, people also expected tobey to show up and deadpool. The movie is perfect, you just got disappointed by your own high expectations hahaha

That Doctor Strange variant was a let down in general. We all believed it was Strange Supreme from “What If…?”. He only has like 5 minutes of screen time, the fight with him and the music notes seemed like he was nerfed and the way he died is lame for someone that powerful.
