Sebastian Stan has absolutely nailed this role, he goes every bit as hard as RDJ or Evans and I feel like he doesn’t get nearly the recognition he deserves for it. Every time WS is onscreen, I tense up wondering who he’s after and if they even have a prayer…
He's by far one of the more interesting characters. We get Iron Man, we get the Cap - WS is the perfect cookie cutter antihero, but he remains interesting because of his internal conflict, we we can all relate to.
I know people are joking about how the Thunderbolts feel like DC Suicide Squad, but thats basically what they originally are in the comics. The main difference between the two is that DC Suicide Squad is a team of supervillains forced to work for the government via bombs in their heads while Marvel's Thunderbolts are a team of supervillains that want to reform and become superheroes.
A much more personal, grounded Marvel. No multiverses, no space threats. Just grounded adventures. The Marvel way. Oh yeah. And that's Bob. Don't mind him.

Nah, he's too human and compromising. Captain America needs to be someone who is, in a way, hard-headed enough (and believe their own righteousness enough) to be able to be stand being a symbol that people look to for what's right and what's wrong. Sam believes in that, in right and wrong and his ability to distinguish it, and that's his strength. Bucky doesn't believe in his own righteousness, and that's HIS strength. Bucky wouldn't be uncompromising about something because it's for the greater good. His character in the MCU, from the start, dealt a lot more in nuance and shades of gray, which was a foil to Steve, who for better or worse tended to see things in black and white (until CACW). And anyway, after so many years of torture and manipulation, Bucky deserved better than to have that kind of inflexible expectation thrust upon him. He needed to have a chance to be able to define himself.

Reason I'm More excited for this over suicide squad is because we've had the chance to get to know everyone through different shows and movies first so I'm More forgiving here and Bucky is finally getting some love ❤❤
