  • Try this easy-to-make Strawberry Mousse Cake if you like. It is so Yummy!!! Enjoy :)
    Ingredients.
    For the strawberry mousse:
    strawberries 250g + sugar 30g to make strawberry puree
    heavy whipping cream 200g + milk 60g + sugar15g + gelatin powder 7g + strawberry puree above to make strawberry mousse mixture
    For the mirror glaze:
    strawberries 100g + sugar 40g + hot water 60g + gelatin powder 3g

    Made this but with a cream cheese and cream combination mix and only 5 teaspoons sugar in total, also used strawberry jelly instead of just gelatine. It turned out beautiful. Thank you for the recipe idea.

    Just finished the jelly top layer and its now setting in the fridge! So excited for this to be my (super late) birthday cake for myself with the whole family!

      @@laurakitchen it was nice! I have a few things I'll change for my own personal preference for the next time I make it (I plan to add a biscuit layer to the bottom to make it easier to remove from the pan, and a splash of lemon juice into the jelly to brighten it up a tad). It's given me a lovely base for a strawberry mouse for making parfait later too! Thank you for sharing this recipe 🥰

    Hi, umm i have a question , for the putting the mousse in fridge , is it okay if i put in a cold room with ac on? It would be highly appreciated if you would reply soon, i need it urgently

    Hi Laura! SOS Question!
    I’ve just made the mousse layer and it’s in the freezer now….
    I’m planning to eat the cake in 2 days so would it be okay to make the top glaze and put the cake in the freezer until consumption?
    Or would it be better to make the top glaze before we eat the cake?

    I tried this recipe and the gelatin didn’t melt in the milk even with the hot water. Everything else was great tho, but the cake was a bit too jiggly.

    Beautiful cake. May I know whether I can use this recipe for 7.5 inch cake mold?

      Thank you so much for your support! The cake pan I used was 6". If you use 7.5" mold, the cake will be a little flat and the outcome may not look the same as the one in my video. Hope that helps.

    Hi can I use dairy whipping cream?

      Hi. Thanks for your question. As long as the dairy whipping cream has at least 30% fat content, it is good to use. The fat content helps the cream whip up. Hope that helps. :)

    Thank you for the recipe! I would like to give it a try but I have a couple of questions.
    1) how many inches (diameter) was your cake mold?
    2) do you have to oil or put paper around the side of the mold? If not, the cake would not stick to it when you unmold?

      Thank you so much for your comments. The size of my baking pan was 6 inches in diameter. It is non-stick with removable bottom. I greased the inner bottom of the pan and lined with parchment paper. I didn't grease the side because, if so, the strawberries wouldn't stay in the place. Hope those help!
