    very wholesome! I'm glad you talked about modesty being about the heart, WITHOUT disproving that clothes are important as well!

    Just found you on a search! I was searching about Modesty because it's something I think isn't spoken about often. Self expression/individualism, I've found, has taken us away from the Modesty of the heart and physical apparel as well. There's nothing wrong with self expression though! But I just think we've strayed away from Modesty. Modesty is important to me and to God as we look through scripture. I do feel that some don't understand why I take part in physical modesty amongst other things, but I knowwww what works and what doesn't. I also think we could help each other out as well when it comes to this. I'd love to see your vid on Modest outfits and stuff! (Alright I'm done😂. Let me go watch your other vids ✊🏿)

      oh wow, just now seeing this comment!!! so glad you found me! modesty is also something very important to me and it's taken (and is still taking) me some time to navigate. one thing that has really irritated me is the language that is used concerning modesty from both sides of the aisle of opinions on modesty... definitely gonna make a vid on modest outfits sometime soon, thanks so much for supporting my channel :)

      You said it! Fashion and personal style has always been something I feel a passion for. However, in the past I thought I was dressing outside of the box, when, in reality, I simply had my box out (I couldn't help myself with that one)! Now that I followed the calling of the Lord to dress modestly, my style has improved so much. The outfits are ten times more creative and comfortable. Plus there is a new-found level of respect toward myself and in how I am treated by others. May God bless you on your modesty journey and send companions in Christ with the same conviction for it into your life!

    I am so grateful to God that my sister shared this with me! After watching this, I felt this weight of legalism and shame come off. I know that I received clarity about this topic just from hearing what you had to share. Keep doing God's work because your obedience changed my life for the better.

    Thanks for the reminder of being free. So much ppl are on here “spreading the gospel” and telling people they are going to hell if they do this and that etc. Which is pushing more people away than bringing people closer and they are putting us in a box as if we cannot enjoy what God provided for us because if we do we are “enjoying worldly things” it’s so crazy🤦🏽‍♀️

    I’ve watched a couple RUclips videos about modesty, and yours is by far the best I have seen. I am seeking to start embarking on my journey of learning how to be more modest in my heart & how I present myself!! This is a struggle for me bc in high school, I conformed to the ideal that I needed to flaunt my assets *y’all know what I mean lol* to be considered attractive or “sexy.” As I’ve been growing my relationship with God & I’m now a freshman in college, I know WHOSE I AM, and I want to glorify the Lord. And I’ve been thinking about how I need to redefine my style to fit the young woman I’m growing into as someone who wants to glorify Him. So your video helped so much with this topic & encouraged me to truly seek God for my journey.

    Thank you so much for making this video!!! I have a very similar background as you, I was very promiscuous since a very young age. When I was saved by Christ at 23, the Holy Spirit slowly but surely started convicting about modesty. And I LOVE how you said 1. It’s not all about clothing, but it includes the heart, the intention and 2. That it’s also for men and 3. The personal doubt and how we must listen to the prompting of the Spirit. Overall, thank you!!!!! God bless you, and keep speaking of His Word! It is our weapon against this world.

    A guy told me I looked like a old lady because I had on a floral sun dress he was used to women showing their skin. He felt like he couldn’t be attractive to me because he couldn’t see my body. That was the first and the last time he saw me. This dress was beautiful but sometimes from my own experience, my own men of color tend to sexualized the black woman’s body. They think it belongs to them but it doesn’t. I don’t get that from other races at all. Just my experience. If I walk past a black guy they always say something, I mean always 😂 always looking.

      *The idea of "modesty" is an absolute joke. God created us to be fully naked with NO SHAME and it was only when we started playing our own game that we started viewing our bodies as disgraceful. 99% of clothing has nothing to do with trying to be provocative, it's just the person wearing what makes them comfortable. Clothing doesn't influence bad actions, corrupt character does.*

      As we are sinners, clothes do influence bad things. And the Bibles says we have to dress modestly, so? Is the bible lying? Of course it's because our sin. For example the divorce, Jesus explained that God doesn't agree with divorce but Moses put laws about it because men and women are sinners! And they kept divorcing, so they had to put a law. The same as clothing, you're right, God created us with no shame. But now we sin, so things are changed and He gave us His Word, so we have to obey.

    • @starhunter9085
      @starhunter9085 2 года назад +4

      @@lissettegutierrez2876 *Nowhere in the Bible does it say that our bodies cause others to sin, that's a misinterpretation. The Bible is clear that our bodies are made in God's image and, because of that, we're the crown jewel of His creation. That's why there was no shame in nudity but we've lost sight of that but that doesn't mean that truth changes. Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday and today and tomorrow so if He thought our bodies were shameless yesterday, He still believes this today. Yes we have to cover certain areas of our bodies when we're in public because we'll get arrested for indecent exposure if we don't but clothing isn't God's creation nor was it ever intended by Him so it's not a priority of His. 1 Samuel 16:7 says WE LOOK AT PHYSICAL APPEARANCE WHILE GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART ❤ and that couldn't be any more true. David, Esther, Isaiah and Adam and Eve (before the fall) were all elevated when they embraced their natural beauty (bodies) so our bodies are not shameful "stumbling blocks", they're glorious elevation tools.*

    • @retrosynthdid4476
      @retrosynthdid4476 2 года назад +6

      @@starhunter9085 "before the fall" is very important. We clothe ourselves because sin was brought into the world. Before that, it's true we can be naked and unashamed. Now this is not the case, cause there is sin in the world. The earthly kingdom is broken, seek Gods kingdom. Stop making excuses for dressing pervertedly. You know it in your heart, stop justifying what's wrong.
