The Bobby McFerrin feature.
LOL, indeed
This is the guy you want to demo a keyboard. I'm sure he can make anything sound good.
People who can play the keyboard end to end and play it well do the best demos. Up vote for this guy!
Seriously 👀
No...
one of the best reviews I've seen. straight to the point! congrats
I love his little smile when puts in the sheet stand man, thats awesome
Thanks again forever another demo, and you showed a few other features that I don't think you covered last night. I am really considering it, I will be using it at home most of the time, but not all the time. Thanks again
Wow...sounds so real.
Woah! I loved everything you played!
Best piano demo I ever heard
woah what a sound😍 i gonna buy this thankx for the review.
Thanks for the best demo of this piano. You've sold it to me. I love your playing style too.
It's not a good demo. He doesn't even mention how great the action is on this piano - you have to spend 3000 on a Yamaha digital to get action as good. If you hold a key with thumb and second finger, bring it down a bit and jiggle it, you can feel hammers banging around inside the keys. That is fantastic and gives it an authentic grand piano feel, together with the textured keys. Fantastic piano for that price. The Yamaha P 145 is no where near as good, and the keys make a rattling sound. With the FP 10 the keys are fairly quiet when playing on low volume without headphones.
great review! thanks
Beautiful sound!
As an owner of this piano, I feel the need to provide this feedback: I think soundwise it is not bad, but not too particular good
But most important issue is the clicking noises I start to get from some keys. Apparently I am not the one with this issue. Just wanted to provide this feedback to potential buyers.
Is the clicking loud enough to be disturbing when playing? Or is it still worth buying at this price range? 500 is really the max I can spend
@@benji040 The problem with click is that it's like an manufacture issue. It comes in some keys with time. It has something to do with the exclusive heavy hammering action System from Roland. It's notticeable in sound and also in fingers. The clicking keys sound way clickier than the normal "healthy" keys. It disturbed me a bit. After all I spent more money than I would in a Yamaha or a Casio. I returned it to the shop and Roland offered me to fix. But I chose a refund instead.
@@3xperiment8 It is not a problem with the manufacturing process. The keys use grease as a lubricant. Once the grease is consumed it starts clicking. It is a common issue with keyboards in this price range. However there's an easy fix: ruclips.net/video/nVaTDzB7q7I/видео.html
Thank you
You copied and pasted the same exact comment on another video, so I don't trust you one bit

the piano is awesome, but this guy is a beast. thanks for the incredible demo cant wait to get one soon!
Good demo!
Good sound!
Wow! Amazing!
Great demo. I ordered one in the Netherlands.
I have a sudden love with pianos, i play the guitar and drums and i never learned the piano but I’ll definitely get this Roland fp10 for my first piano learning. ☺️
Excellent demo and excellent improvisational talents !!!
I was amazed when he played the strings on it
Totally amazing at what you can get for such a low price. $499 from Sweetwater. Optional piano stand $89. I assume it has a head phones jack for practicing when everyone else is sleeping. Great Demo. Great job Roland.
Here in Italy i found a roland fp 10 for just 397€
GIMME IT
Excellent !
Thats it I am purchasing it.
The standard piano functions sounds SOOO acoustic! How the hell did you do that! Anyway, great review. Thank you!
this guy is a boss at piano
i could just listen to him play.. good demo. i wanna buy one. haha
I really wish Roland would make more A88 typa keyboards. Good one though!
Best review ever🙌 Mine is coming next week Can’t wait to play yay 😁

How is it
@@ophiuchusleiz7437 The sound is so soft and the size is compact. I’m very satisfied! And if you connect it to Garage band by bluetooth, there’s another world to play
Thank you very much.Yea im currently waiting for it. Damn i have exams but all i can think of is my new piano.
@@ophiuchusleiz7437 I was exactly the same 😂 Good luck on your exams and I hope you like your new piano 🎹 😉
Arrrgh. I want it now!
Une excellente démonstration. Merci.

Nyesel gw beli.. tutsnya clicky... Berisik beut..
Jacob you are amazing I wish you could teach me. Is there anything that has the fp-10 sound in a module?
Just ordered one!
How is it so far? Do you think it’s worth it for a beginner?
I think fp10 rolland better than same level digital piano like yamaha dgx 660, p45. Rolland fp 10 has sensitivity of touching.
What do you think about it?
nice piano!
Having less feature is actually a great thing. I have a dirt cheap keyboard from yamaha which has 61 keys and so many buttons above them that looks nothing less like a pilot cockpit
"Sweet" playing! 😉
Had me sold on the e pianos!
Particularly the first e piano sound 👌
After 2days. .I 'm going to buy this. So I enjoyed this video. Wonderful performance ^^b.
Im going to buy it next month! How is the piano doing after 4 months of use?
@@KZ-lw9gc did u buy it ?
What was the intro song? Want to learn that one too!
Kickin’ ass as usual
That vibraphone took me straight back to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
💕 planning to buy
thank you so much for helping me sell my used Roland FP-10 for top dollar .
Hi Jacob, I'm planning to buy one beginner portable digital piano and the top 2 important features I'm considering are key action and piano tone. Not bothered about other available tones or not interested in playing anything other than piano. Confused with options like FP10, P125 and ES110. Can you please help me choosing the suitable one among these 3 with respect to key action and piano tone?
Do they sell the music stand/ music rest separately? I lost mine :/
i bought this piano few days ago, it's many years i play an upright piano, i have some difficult to adjust my piano technique on the roland in fast passages like in czerny etudes, rolands keys seems to be heavier but i didn't really understood what exactly makes more difficult to play on the roland, is it the same for you guys, how is your experience playing this roland compared with acustic pianos?
7:40 what song is this! it is stunning I have fallen in love
I like how the presenter doesn't even mention how great the action is on this piano - you have to spend 3000 on a Yamaha digital to get action as good. If you hold a key with thumb and second finger, bring it down a bit and jiggle it, you can feel hammers banging around inside the keys. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the non bullshit begginer digital piano!! With this beast and proper teach you will mastered piano in half year or more! And when you switch to accoustic no problem or big adjustment because the weight of keys actually more heavier than common upright!
I agree it has just enough features required to learn. Bluetooth is a big +. Can record easily using midi or aux cables. Good enough action to not require an upgrade until a long long time. I can't say how long cause i spent a year learning and am yet to outgrow the piano.
What song did you play in the begining?
What was that outro song ? Amazing
I just bought this digital piano ( February 2024). I am learning the notations
How did you connected? please help, I want to record, but the quality isnt the same as yours
Whats the title of the first song?
Good morning. I have just tried to Shazam the piano piece at 0:05 without finding it. It was really lovely for me! Could you say me what’s the name of that music? Thank you 🙏!!
I thought playing digital piano cannot be as fun as keyboard until I heard this 9:23 😂
Great keyboard, does it have midi input and output? or computer connections for other files, thanks! super sounds, I like it
Hi, thanks for your interest! The FP-10 doesn’t have MIDI DIN connections, so you can’t connect it directly to hardware synths. However, it does have a USB-MIDI connection, so you can connect it to a computer and use it as a controller for virtual instruments.
Hope this helps, and feel free to reach out to me directly with any further questions!

Are there any other pianos like the f10 with the same features at a lesser cost ?
Please can you tell me if this piano have an output for the amplificator ?
So wen you make transition to another voice, you bring your 2 hands to press 2 buttons? We need to memorize these buttons vs their voices?
Can you sustain only one sound when you layer 2 sounds ?
Did u record directly to camera or using amplifier?
Hi! Good day!
I was about to purchase Roland FP 10 but when I am about to connect it to my macbook, it doesn't recognize the FP 10 as a midi controller/instrument for my Digital Audio Workstation (Garageband). It is supposed to automatically recognize the instrument like any other midi keyboards unless Roland FP 10 does not support Midi functions for DAW?
Can anyone help? Thank you so much!
I had the same issue with my ipad, until I found the ipad is pairing with the roland as soon as I switch it on so other apps don't recognize it as a midi bt device. I must delete it everytime from BT devices, so other apps are able to connect to it. But I dunno if you're trying with bluetooth too or by usb.
Do you still have this problem? I need it to connect to logic pro
Casio CDP S100 or Roland FP-10?
Great demo thank you!
Any news confirming these beauties will be available again around March 2021?!?!
I got mine at costco
Supplier here in the netherlands said the same: March 2021. I asked about the clicking noise, they are aware of it. They sold many fp10's and a handful came back with clicking noises, which are fixed/ replaced under warranty. And it's a 3 year warranty. I do know they now only sell a new version of the fp30, (since they use the same keyaction) not sure if this batch has the clicking issue fixed)
How do you record the piano?
There is a noticeable shaking in every sound as if the pitch bend is slightly turned out causing a subtle flanger, chorus, etc. effect on every demonstrated patch. I'm not sure what it is.
Song at the end please? Thanks!
Could anyone told me what kind of electric piano sounds each of the available electric piano sounds are closest to?
first one sounds like a rhodes to me
How about transposing?
Can you layer the piano with the Pad??
Your opinion for MAX KB6 please?
Did you show how to play internal songs?
Yo, I want something that can make me sound like the band 100 gecs without having to go broke but still getting a bang for my buck.
Any suggestions?
Hi. Nice video. I've heard that it doesn't have stereo out to connect speakers. Is that right?
I mean can I connect speakers and have a nice sound From it? Thanks!
Hi, Marcos! Thanks for your interest. The FP-10 only has a headphone output. You could use this to connect to a sound system, though. For more fully featured outputs, check out the Yamaha P-125:

anyone know where I can possibly order it? I can't find it anywhere .-.
How to add reverb??
Hello! What will be more attractive, casio px-s1000 or roland fp-10? Alas, I could not appreciate the live sound of the instruments, I ordered fp-10 for myself, but later I found casio px-s1000, which was not very expensive in price with fp-10, but it seemed better to me, judging by its characteristics.
Are these two tools very different? Already managed to get upset with my purchase :(
months late to answer this but there is some controversy regarding the key action on the new casios, and in that regard the roland appears to be superior
What are the diferences between the four pianos?
Not sure if this is the right place but
Casio PX S3000 or Roland FP30?
The store near me is having a sale and they are about the same price.
Which one should I get? Any suggestions?
Definitely go with Metallica, waaaay better than Megadeath. IMHO.
Both have very nice key action, great sounding piano sounds, the Casio has a slim, lightweight case and way more sounds. The Roland has Midi/Audio over Bluetooth, the Casio, AFAIK, has only Bluetooth audio. Tough choice, find a way to play them and see which feels better.
Great Keyboard !!!!
Does it work as MIDI controller too ? Just to use it with a DAW.
Hello, great question! Yes, this keyboard will work as a MIDI controller over USB. This is true for almost all keyboards with a USB output.
Thanks!

The vibraphone!!!!!
How do put the demo songs i did one time on acciedient and never did it again
Hi! What kind of cable / pin do you use to connect the fp10 to an amplifier or speakers? Thanks
Hi, Luka. That is a great question! For connecting the Roland FP-10 to a speaker or amplifier, you would be able to use an 1/8" TRS cable to a 1/4" cable and you should be good to go. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Maryann Shirley, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1774, maryann_shirley@sweetwater.com
@@sweetwater Does the headphone output mixdown to mono if you use a mono pinned 1/8" plugg? Or do you have only one stereo channel (left or right) if you connect a 1/8" TRS cable to a 1/4" cable and then a mono 1/4" cable to a keyboard amplifier?
When did it come out?
Hi, i´m looking for the best key action between these models: Roland FP10/30, Korg D1, Kawai ES110 and Yamaha P115... Thanks!...
Hi, Fer! Thanks for your interest. The action is definitely comparable between these four models. They all offer a great, realistic piano feel at an affordable price. However, as a keyboard player myself, my personal preference is for the Kawai. Hope this helps, and feel free to contact me directly with any further questions!

Hi Caleb and thanks for your personal and very helpful opinion, and what about the Casio Px-S3000 key action? is comparable or inferior?...
@@ferdearmas8732 Hi, Fer! The action is comparable on that Casio model. It also adds many more sounds to choose from than the other models we discussed. Hope this helps!

I finally saved up enough money to get a ,cheap‘ digital piano for Christmas, but I‘m torn between the Yamaha P-45 and the Roland FP-10 :/ Which one do you think is better?
Sock •-• roland FP-10. The yamaha is more outdated and less technical but don’t let my opinion change your mind and ask others!
Fp-10 is almost double the price where i live
@@Kevin-be9iy how about the casio px160? Do you have an opinion on that one compared to the roland fp-10?
sorucha I would recommend the Roland FP-10 due to it having a more realistic feel but hey, that’s just me. I’ve also heard better things but for budget of the px is slightly better but if your budget isn’t more then 700$ then i would recommend the Roland FP-10.
@@Kevin-be9iy yeah thanks for the advice
Actually now I'm somewhat torn between the FP-10 and the Kawai ES110
I'm going to try both of them and get the one that feels better for me
How necessary is it to have the 3 pedal unit? . I'm a beginner so I don't know how long it will take me to start needing the other two pedals. If I'll need it soon I'm probably getting the fp30
Hi, Smith. That is a great question! The 3 pedal unit isn't necessary to start learning on the piano. The pedal that you will use the most during your first couple of years of learning will be the sustain pedal, and understanding how to read the music that coincides with using the sustain pedal. Once you get into more complex compositions that require you to have different timbre, sustains, and articulations for the piano, then you would benefit from the 3 pedal unit. The FP-10 should be just fine for getting started and lasting you a good while. Let us know if you have any questions!

how to record it
Sadly there is not 1 store in the US that has this in stock :( Every retailer says maybe FEB 2021 & I really don't want the more expensive older brother the FP-30
I got my piano for 50 dollars and this is a huge upgrade
is the piano worth in your opinion thinking about getting one myself
Xavier Smith thanks
Is this keyboard also good for live performances??
Pauline Payawal yes!
Does this keyboard have a "Transpose" button? In order to play along with my church I'm looking for a keyboard that I can quickly change the key from C to sharp or flats?
Hi, Linda! Thanks for your interest. The FP-10 does have a transpose feature, but it’s not a dedicated button. Holding down the Function button and pressing the A key above C6 will transpose the keyboard up one half step - doing the same with the G key will transpose it down one half step - and the G#/Ab key will return the instrument to its default pitch. You can transpose the keyboard up to 6 half steps down or 5 half steps up.
Hope this helps, and feel free to contact me directly with any further questions!

What are the minuses?
Is this good for performing with a live whole band perfomance??
Hello! The FP-10 is a great keyboard to play if you need to play piano with a band, certainly! I wouldn't expect that the onboard speakers would be loud enough to keep up with a full band, but you could easily plug the FP-10 into a keyboard amp or PA system.
