The mic audio quality on the Xbox sounds pretty good. They're both decent, but the Xbox sounds comes in a lot more fuller than the 3D Pulse, and that's like due to mic positioning. I understand that inline mics look cool, but doesn't do sound quality any more favors than retractables. However, both get the job done.

You can't say the Sony has a better sound quality when you haven't adjusted the audio on the Xbox. There are several Reddit entries that tell you some better settings. Give those a try and then give us an update please. Thanks. Video is great. The mic quality is terrible on the Sony. Sounds like you're talking through a can. The Xbox isn't great (compared to more expensive headphones) but it's better than Sony.
That's why he said specifically he is comparing out of the box sound. An he didn't say the PlayStation had better sound quality. He said when paired with the PS5 the tempest audio shines with game sound. An he gave the W to the Xbox headset for overall sound quality. An he pointed out all the changes you could make to them. Doing so and messing with it in a head to head video isn't going to change anything. Most people I know still don't know wtf reddit is they are not going to buy a headset and go to reddit. They are going to buy it put it on an IF something sounds off they will mess with it. An I said in a previous comment I agree the PS5 headset sounds bad they need to stop doing internal microphones it doesn't work.

@@warriormania7034 I own a PS4 and a Series X. I have always preferred Xbox, so yes, I lean that way. Does that make it wrong for me to say tweek the equalizer since you can with the Xbox headset, whereas, the Sony headset doesn't have that capability? I would say the best way to test the audio is to get them both to perform at the best they can so we can make an educated decision. If that makes me a fanboy in your eyes, so be it. If you can honestly say the audio is better with the Sony headset after that, then fine. All of it is opinion of course, but can you honestly say the Sony mic sounds better?
@@TheRealEnate I haven't heaed about anything in Temp Audio that Dolby Atmos or DTS Headphone X can't do. Btw, 3D Audio on PS5 is not limited to Sony headset. So, it even works like Dolby Atmos/DTS Headphone X.

I have both and PlayStation 3D headset is far better (imo). Xbox wireless headset is pretty okay though. I don't want any stupid Xbox fanboy come to bash me based on my opinion. Make them look pathetic and sad.

Xbox wins off a couple facts:
1. Changeable earpads (MAJOR).
2. Fits over my ears, not on them.
3. Bluetooth for calls and music while gaming on Xbox
4. Xbox wireless headset will last longer because you can replace parts.
5. I like bass and they have plenty of it.

They are both good, but I like the Xbox slightly better. Mic and all around sound for music and gaming is better. Also it’s easy to adjust while on your head. But who cares to compare when they are not interchangeable between consoles

The Xbox headset is superior for sound, features, settings, ease of use. Clearly biased as you've been using the Pulse for months, I find the pulse uncomfortable on my ears. Bluetooth over 2 devices is a must too. You gave them a tie for connectivity, it's a joke.
You're asking people about mic quality it's awful on the Pulse, don't use built in mics simple. Stick with the Xbox WHS.

I agree with basically everything you said on the video except for you giving a tie in the connectivity portion. Everything you said in that part makes the Xbox headset sound superior in that area, especially considering you can connect to the Xbox and another Bluetooth device. Other than that though, good video. Keep it up👍
The biggest reason one would buy the ps5 headset over the xbox headset is if you only need 1 but have both consoles. I went with the ps5 because i can use it on both consoles.

I have both people taking no side the Xbox sound better and the feature that you can connect the headset to you phone and the Xbox at the same time is insane, you can get a phone call wild you playing and goes true the headset.

I prefer the PS5 3D pulse headset not only because it has better overall sound and audio quality but it also feels more comfortable. The Xbox wireless headset is ok because it has special features and the mic is not bad.

Honestly a good review. A lot of people seem to be salty that their favorites didint do as well as they wanted both for Xbox and PS5 3D but honestly they are both solid headsets for $100 and for me just go for what console you have as they seem to be tailored moreso to their specific consoles but if you go for either you are gonna be happy.

Great video bruh. Though about the spatial sound technologies, all of them (windows sonic, atmos, dts headphone x) are software enhancements. So they should work with any headphones or headsets. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but these r not specific to the Xbox wireless headset
PlayStation 3D Pulse Headset blows the Xbox Wireless trash out of the water. The Xbox wireless headset sound quality is not only terrible but it sounds like you're underwater

I have the XBOX Wireless Headset pre-ordered (still has not arrived so I can not comment on sound or feel) looks wise the PS5 one looks like a cleaner design.. I do not like the fact there is no boom mic on them though.
He laughed when saying there's an identical rocker for the chat/game mixer and volume. That's a big one for me... if I'm in game and people join the party and i just want game sound, I find it easier on the Xbox to change on the fly.
All the controls should be easy to access and you should always be able find correct one quickly and with touch only.

You have to adjust eq settings that's the fair comparison it's not microsofts fault sony didn't add an eq settings for the pulse 3d if you turn the first two eq settings down it sounds amazing for games it has way better sound than the 3d pulse
Yeah that’s true but I still mentioned that you can adjust the EQ, overall I still prefer the Sony Sound for gaming.. and I rather Xbox for music or watching movies etc
@@ShevonSalmon did you even try to adjust the eq on the xbox wireless headset though? You can't deduct points from the xbox headset if you didn't fully review all of it. I adjusted the eq on it and it sounds much better with the lesser low end frequencies

Yow shevon. Did u try all sound decode options on the Xbox headset? Dts x , atmos and windows sonic? How are they vs tempest? In gaming . What about build quality. A joke yaw mek yute Xbox headset even tho the two a dem a plastic the xbox headset firmer. U can’t say suppen lighter and more durable . Like saying a Ford f150 is as durable as Toyota tundra. As someone with both you ain’t giving an unbiased review . Ps5 doesn’t have eq that’s their own fault. My main reason for headset is for parties if not I use my Yamaha receiver . Microphone way better on Xbox. Not sure how much u know about sound fields bredda but this seemed pretty biased
Fair and unbiased comparison. Mic was deffo better on the Xbox headset. Could barely make out what you were saying when you were speaking through the Pulse mic. I game on PlayStation, Switch and soon to be Xbox too so I’m just as neutral. I feel that the Xbox headset just about edges in the lead this time around, for my needs anyway.

I own both sets of cans and the Xbox Wireless Headset is the superior product for the price. It really isnt even a contest. The only ding on the Xbox headset is that you have to adjust the sound because out of the box they sound kind of "muddy". Connectivity is superior on the Xbox headset because they have bluetooth.
The pulse elite has that but why is it 200 CAD? Only a few hundred dollars and you’re getting an Xbox Series S.
I would go for the Xbox because I like black finishes more plus, the mic sounds way better and louder plus mainly because of that multi connection feature to use Bluetooth while playing, that’s a decision maker for me, plus I never really like built it mic, have no idea why Sony would do such thing, built mics normal bleeds in game audio audio or usual sounds low as it did in the review

I have both also and the PS headphones cups are smaller than the Xbox. Almost everything is better on the Xbox headset. The only thing that the Sony's do better is how light they are.

After using both I have to say Xbox’s works so much better. So there’s better sound in my opinion, better build quality, easier to use on other devices and you don’t need an adapter. I don’t hate the PS5 one but it is very cheap feeling. Apparently the new headset they have being the Pulse Elite is decent.
I have big ass ears and the Xbox one fits fine. Literally the only headsets that has ever fit me very well.

Seems like the features on xbox one kills pulse but as a owner of a ps5 and xbox one x kinda leaning torwards pulse and will prolly have to get xbox one when i upgrade to series x
Connectivity can't be a tie. Especially as XWHS supports dual connectivity and Pulse doesn't. Also 90% of audio tech reviews say sound on XBWHS with its customisable EQ features is the best sound in the price class. Even competing with $150 headsets. No DTS X or Dolby Atmos support on Pulse 3d also. Meaning no support for industry standard Dolby Atmos for Movies on your console.
You cannot do a review and not use a feature like EQ settings.
The fact Pulse 3D doesn't have EQ settings is their fault. Not the competitions.

PlayStation 3D pulse headset destroys the Xbox wireless headset show the Xbox wireless headset may have more features the PS5 3D pulse headset. But it pales in comparison to the PlayStation 3D Pulse headset when it comes to overall sound quality and audio because the PlayStation headset is made for 3D audio via tempest 3D audiotech. So the audio and sound is more crisp on the PlayStation 3D pulse headset.
They both use spatial sound technology, it’s not actually 3D.

Out of the box the Pulse 3D sound nicer until you mess around with the EQ settings on the Xbox ones and realize how much more detailed and punchy they sound compared to the Sony headphones and if you pay the $14 for the Dolby Atmos app there is no comparison. That being said I do like the way the Pulse 3D headsets look and feel on my head. It’s weird it’s like they feel and fit better but the foam on the Xbox headsets are superior. I also like the Pulse 3Ds lack of mic which makes it look better but I think Xbox out did themselves in terms of ergonomics and features.
From console wars to headset wars, only reason I'm here 😅. But I'll be using my sony 1000xm4.

Internal mics always lose out to external I don't know why Sony keep using them. An when you are talking on game chat it doesn't sound like it does in the video. So if you specifically getting the PS5 headset to game with your PS5 and enjoy the tempest audio bet. Anything else the Xbox headset hands down this was a perfectly done head to head video. I'm gonna keep rocking my Astros A40's and A50's so I don't even need a headset but I was just curious. Xbox dudes so used to losing they can't even recognize all the W's you gave the headset in the video again perfect head to head.

That's not true . I purchased the Sony headset today and everybody that reviewed the Sony headphones said there's no customization for sound and voice and there is if you go into the settings you can actually make the headphones louder and there's 5 or 6 settings for 3d surround sound audio based on your preference and hearing. So why wasn't this brought up in every review? My series x do offer more options for sound customization but the Sony headset do allow you to adjust sound for personal preference.

Got both. Xbox headset is amazing. Super comfortable with great sound. While ps5 headset is an absolute trash. Sound is bad and it’s hurting my ears. Xbox headset feels softer and more premium. Ps5 headset feels cheap and im in process of returning it.
I have both. I prefer the Pulse 3D hands down. The Xbox headset has so many glitches. Cuts out, etc. Had to exchange my first pair because they had huge latency issues. Considering returning the second pair and just using my Pulse 3D with the Series X.
