- So I am currently in the process of reviewing the new Xbox Wireless Headset and the idea came to mind to check and see if this headset works on the PS5. Long story short I learned a lot of things in this video. And I hope you do too.

Confirmed - it works on the Switch i tried it the day they did the update and no problem. Though the audio is a tiny bit delayed

One question bro. Had you tried using the dongle and an auxiliary cable on any other device? Had you tried using a USB-C cable to Jack 3.5? I’m curious about if I’ll be able to use it with no latency on a Mac.

The Pulse 3D wireless headset can work on Xbox via 3MM headphone jack, however the mic doesn't work.
The wired version of the Xbox headset, the Xbox Stereo headset - Has anyone used it on ps5? I know the audio will work, but does the mic work?
There is a USB Bluetooth thing you can get that will allow you to use any Bluetooth audio set with a Playstation
Try 3.5 jack if the headset doesn’t have one use usc to 3.5mm audio aux or connect to the controller
the Xbox headset only supports Bluetooth and wireless Xbox, 3.5mm don't work through a USB c cable

Bro your setup is sick. Im the type to use 65 inch oled screen and consoles. unfortunately i haven't got a gaming pc and im srsly considering the get one and pair it with a nice 4k monitor would you recommend me to build the pc or get something pre-built?
Always build your own pc unless you getting laptop... Cheaper option, you just might struggle to source the latest graphics cards

I have HyperX wireless headset with a dongle. I put the dongle in my PS5 front USB slot and the headset works fine.

I have the Sony XM3 Headset, Xbox Wireless Headset, PS5 and Series X (no hate!!). I contacted Sony regarding the connection between PS4/5 and the Sony premium headset XM3 (the XM4 wasn‘t released yet) and Sonys answer why it didn‘t work: Sony Entertainment department and Sony HiFi/Headset department have nothing to do with each other. Sadly the Sony company is so divided between the different departments, that they don’t even care about synergies they could pull between their products. I play a lot on different devices, use lots of different products from different manufacturers, but Sony is one of the worst. The only reason I got the PS5 is because Sony delivers magnificent SP games! I really enjoy those, but for MP I stick to the Xbox and PC. And there I can use the Xbox Wireless Headset for both + phone. I mean when I‘m on a call with my bro via Xbox headset and have it simultaneously connected to the Xbox, I can have the phone call and still hear the sound of the game. MS might not have the best SP games, but they surely know how to build great HW and how to make it universal useful.
If you have the Wireless adaptor for Windows 10, it might work , it uses 2.4 ghz since both the ps5 and ps4 don't support bluetooth headsets

Get a Creative BT-W2 Dongle. With this Dongle you can connect the Xbox Headset with your ps5. Audio output only. Then you Need to Use the DualSense mic.

I can Pair them with my samsung Q8D via bluetooth and them get the sound from the tv to this headset. Because i have hdmi from Nintendo Switch directly to my tv. I get the sound from the tv to the headphones when the switch is docked. I dont have ps5 yet But i think it woud work there aswell because it is the tvsound that is in my xbox headphones :)
So even if you cant connect them direct to the Nintendo Switch or ps5 it works when you connect them to the tv 👍👍

So i guess it is the same with Switch.

Yeah i tried bluetooth once and it was unusable because of the delay, not sure what version it was and if it's gotten better since but if it's anything like that it's not particularly odd that they flat out don't support it.
But yeah I guess I have to check out if the wired one works or something else that works for both Xbox and playstation because I'd rather not get one for each.

This can be easily accomplished by purchasing a Bluetooth-USB Dongle for a few dollars. You pair the headphones with the Xbox and also the dongle. The dongle will go to the Ps5. Super easy fix!

@@martouf13 I suspect that it's still shit even if you get it to work somehow because it's not like the ps5 doesn't have bluetooth, they specifically choose to not support bluetooth *audio* because it's not good.
I mean I would probably guess that getting a RF reciever dongle with the PS5 headset is the better alternative because it's not bluetooth.
But yeah I'm currently searching for a better all in one solution myself that isn't sacrificing usability or quality on either console.

Good video, now I don't have to try. It's about money. The hardware is in the console but they don't allow it, to me it's a simple firmware update that will never happen. They want u to buy their proprietary headset and the ones they made deals with.

I fixed this issue by not using the ps5 for any multi-player games.

The PS4 also doesn’t support Bluetooth as well. You can use an Avantree USB Bluetooth Dongle in order to connect Bluetooth Headphones thru Bluetooth

yes and no, but it will for sure run smooth at 144hz. If you need stable 240hz you should get something like 2070super or 2080/2080super or even the 3070/3060

You are right on second point, it uses the Xbox wireless protocol (which is a modified wi-fi) and you can connect it to PC either by Bluetooth or with the Xbox dongle.
But just like Shevon I always thought PS4 (and 5) supported BT headsets. Damn.
@@sean_mc nope bluetooth headset support died with the PS3. Maybe for the better, bluetooth isn't capable of delivering high(est) quality audio and there's also more of a delay usually.
