Everything about is is excellent. The only drawback, is that it comes a little uncomfortable after many hours of gaming. After 3-4 hours it becomes kinda painful on my ears. Other than that, amazing headset.
It’s a very capable and affordable headset that punches above its weight, indeed. I’ve had one since launch day and use it occasionally whenever I wanna give my Arctis 7s a break.
I've tried all headsets, and these are the greatest ones, that game/ chat equalizer is a must. And voice sounds good. All others make you sound congested
The pulse mic sounds fine. Every video i watch they make it sound different. Some sound condensed, some sound muffled (like this one) but it sounds surprisingly clear and good. Same with the arctis. On youtube it sounds muffled in every video but my homies sounds like the cleanest mic I've ever heard on playstation
It will always sound better when there are other background sounds. Although maybe you just don't notice the difference in mic quality when you're talking to your friends, as long as you can tell what they're saying. I can definitely tell the unique attributes of a mic when listening to my friends
Mine hits the 12hrs of use, I enjoy the ear muffs/cuffs as with the angle of the speaker wall within the muffs it allows a better fit for my ears than most others, I haven't had any discomfort wearing my midnight pulse 3-d headset. I think they are great, they are not as loud as my ghostech 2.0 drops I used as a headset prior to buying the pulse but they are still awesome. I give them 5*
Great review fyi you can add 3d sound to any headset. Also for those that have a turtle-beach-stealth-700 or astro just connect usb use optical port from your TV. Then change chat to chat only and then Dolby dts. Bang you know have sound and chat back like on the ps4. You can adjust sound individual on headphones for chat or game sound. Get full loud audio

@@juniorhsmc1939 well if I'm not using the 3D audio, I switch it off and connect the dac to my TV's optical input, change the PS5 settings. I don't use chat much, so it doesn't really bother me. The games I mentioned are single player anyway

But this Sony Pulse 3D is the ONLY AND FIRST one who actually don't hurt my ears. Even after 4-5 hours of gaming. The mic is not the best but this headset is way to comfy to skip it ! To all of you who have ears problems all their life like me, I really recommend this one !
Do you mean in terms of audio, or fit? Because if you find these comfortable I would definitely urge you to try the steelseries arctis 7p/7p+. However the comfort on these is not too bad either
I tried the pulse 3d first even with the obviously better inzones out. Wanted to save some money, you know? I'm pretty young so I don't have much anyways. But I got them, put them on, and immediately noticed the sound was very lackluster. It was about the same as my previous pair of headphones which were literally 15 dollar wired headphones I found on Amazon for PC. I had never even used wireless headphones and these were a bit disappointing. However, after finding some info on the eq and messing with that a bit, it sounded decent enough that I could handle wearing it instead of the TV audio and I could deal with it on the psvr2, especially since the 3d audio was so nice in horizon forbidden West... In my 5 minutes of testing The drivers were pressing into my ears... HARD. You see, the earcups make it look like your ears will be nowhere near the drivers. Don't let them fool you. I do not have large ears. Not at all, actually. My ears are not protruding or flat, just a normal sized ear. And yet, I found the drivers being pushed into my skull so hard due to the horrible slant design that is not visible unless you look very closely and pretty much only in person. I couldn't even make it out on any promotional image and I knew what to look for. It's like they intentionally made them uncomfortable especially with the circular design. Even so, I tried to move on. After all, my cheap headphones did the same thing. To be fair, they have a flat back. The pulse 3d, while being the normal shape for a driver, feels like a honeycomb texture on your ears, and it feels terrible. Sitting still? You are fine. Move your heads 1cm? It feels like someone is scratching your ear with a stick. I tried to stick it out for a whole week until I found that my ears were in unbearable pain while gaming, and one day I took the headset off only to find out they had rubbed so hard against my ears that they had fully turned red and were hurting terribly the entire rest of the night and still pretty bad the next day. Furious, I returned the headphones. Luckily, the inzones had been on a sale. The h3 weren't an option as they were wired, but I had heard the h7 and h9 were basically the same except for noise cancelling, which while actually being quite useful to me, didn't justify the extra 130 dollars considering the h7s were on sale for 150 at the time and the h9s had no sale whatsoever. So I spent every single penny I had (again, I'm poor and make 20 bucks a month so the pulse 3d was all Christmas money and the extra 60 including tax was 3 months worth of money for me!) For the inzone h7. I didn't want to give Sony my money for headphones again, but I had heard the h7 were some of the most comfortable pair of gaming headphones out there. Let me tell you, night and day. Now, my ears still do press against the drivers. However they are not a honeycomb feeling, and because of the extra padding, it's not a big deal. It's barely at all to begin with and I feel absolutely no pain and the pressure goes away after about 10 seconds when I stop focusing on it. And the only reason my ears reach the drivers is because of the unbelievably comfortable memory foam that feels like you put soft earmuffs on your ear to keep them warm in the winter just without the fuzz (which I'm sure I could add if I wanted to), and the sound is just great. I got the galaxy buds pro 2 for Christmas, and I thought they sounded great. I always knew my first pair of over the ear headphones would be even better and boy was I right. It was an incredible experience when I went into forbidden West in the same arena challenge I tried the pulse 3d in, and heard the same noises there but boosted up to a whole other level. The 3d audio is even better on the inzones than the pulse 3d itself, mainly due to the wider sound stage. Some complain you can't adjust the eq on PS5, and it does annoy me that even the PC eq settings do not transfer to the PS5, but you would be surprised how good they sound right out of the box. Better than the pulse 3ds with the most optimized eq settings by a landslide. Now they are more expensive. Without a sale they go for 230 dollars. That is a bit pricey, but if you want headphones that go well with your PS5, it's a no brainier. The only reason to get a pulse 3d is to put it on display next to your PS5, and hide any other pair of good gaming headphones behind the PS5. The inzone h7 is definitely a good choice in my book. TLDR because I just write super in depth like this: pulse 3d can kiss my ass get the inzone h7/9 instead
I have the original cordless PS head set from the ps4. they work well on the ps5 and have 3d sound. I don't know if it is worth upgrading. It's a decent headset. But it fits a little looser on my head than my liking. Almost feels like it's falling off my head. Volume is also a little low as well. I have to play at max volume for most games, and even then, it's only about 80-85% of what I'm looking for. Also, the 3D audio just does not sound good. Particularly in games like Spider-Man. Muffled, kinda hollow. lacking a little in clarity. Sure the directional audio is good, but the quality is frankly just not. Turning it off sounded better for me. Well I'll tell you guys since i just bought the pulse 3d lol they are quiter even with eq settings maxed out im guessing thats due to the 40mm drivers in the pulse as opposed to the 50mm drivers in the platinums the pulses will work fine for me for now untill i can find a reasonably priced set of platinums or hopefully sony makes a new higher grade headset with larger drivers like a pulse platinum or something

What do you think is the best headset for PS5? i play single player 3D story games like UNCHARTE and The Last Of Us. Money is not an issue i want the best sounding headset.
It really depends on a lot of factors so I can't answer that question specifically for you. Every headset has a different sound signature, some are more bassy, some less so, some focus on clarity while others focus on booming sound. You gotta decide what you prefer then look for the headset that does that
same for some reason i thought they would have a more premium build to it. compare to my HS80 the pusle 3D feels like $30 headset. but with great sound
Be forewarned!! If you like your sound loud these might not be for you. Google that they aren't loud enough and you'll find people complaining. I send mine back because of this reason.
Even with EQ the perfomance of this headphone is not good, it is passable. I used mine for around 1 year, then I got the H9. Much much better, but, after the H9 I got the Audeze Maxwell, and the Audeze Maxwell is in a complete different level of quality.
A great headset for the money, but it don't oustands my Astro A50 when it comes on sound quality or bass response, I use it as a spare headset and again for the money it performs very well.
Is there anyway to set them up for PS4 ? Like can i set up the EQ through the laptop or idk. If there's a way to do it whoever takes their time to help me with this request. Please and thanks 🙏🏽
sony makes accessories with planned obsolesces in mind, in a year it's gonna peel and break from every possible angle. and before you tell me that you will take good care of it, don't. I've rebuilt and fixed at least 6 pairs all of'em were sony gold, platinum, and now pulse 3D, for all of them the ear cushions were peeled, and hings were broken in half, and the rest sounded flat compared to sony gold
I’m very satisfied with the headset, but I don’t understand why it switches audio output device from TV speakers to -> headset whenever connecting, but not in reverse or when the headset is turned off. So the only way is to manually switch over everytime EDIT: Fixed when I put the headset’s charging port into my tv input i stead of through the PS5 inputs

warzone in general has a really loud sound design that i'm not a fan of, but yeah it sounds particularly hollow with this headset. try adjusting the EQ
There is no such thing like a 3D Headset. Its all Software based with 2 Drivers. EQ setting for Shooters. Dont let them fool you man. Try a proper headphone on a seperated headphoneamp in normal Stereo and you will throw this plastic out of the window.
Purchased this headset and returned it the same day. Don't waste your money guys. It's not good at all. They give you the option of eq settings with them and I think that's the only benefit. That's probably because the sound is so bad that they want to make up for it. I think maybe they will have an update later down the line. Mark cerny did mention that they would keep working on the audio so I don't know. But I would skip guys. I'm not sure exactly what this brother is saying but I'm going to be honest for 100 dollars plus tax it's not worth it. Maybe for just 50 or 60 but nah..

Worst headsets are the sony ones. I’ve had 4 sony headsets the first 2 were the gold edition the old one, and last two were the new gold wireless headset and they all broke down within a year. The build quality is so bad its cheap plastic. The mic sounds like you are underwater and the worst battery life in a headset. A $30 mic has better mic quality. The foam earpads with the fake leather wears down so fast and the little black fake leather pieces start falling off. I stopped buying that overpriced trash and went with the Steelseries Arctis 7P+. 100 times much better headset for an extra $60. Also the mute button on the ps5 controller doesn’t even work with the pulse 3D… you have to mute it from the headset itself so pathetic lmaoo

????
No reply very helpful must say
@@reecewardy8235 no difference except for the colours mate.
Personally once headphones are sitting on my head how they look isnt even considered I only care about how they perform.
Nice review I did get the all black headset as a gift and I do enjoy it. I play mostly sports games so I don't really need a lot of bells and whistles.
Good stuff!
YOU ARE SO UNDERRATED
GUYS WE NEED TO GET HIM MORE SUBS
I appreciate the kind words thank you
I bought the arctis 7p+ and i just could not find anny good presets fore warzone and i could not locate my enemies like i did on my older sonny platinum headset.
I returnded them and also conecting to pc everytime i want to swith it up is annoying
Keep up the great work Pics! Love your reviews.
Would you recommend Steelseries Arctis 7P+ as daily PS5 headset? Looking into buying one these days.
Stay safe man
Great reviews bro👊🏾
🙏🏽
What’s the difference between the SteelSeries 7P+ and the new 7+ ??
I have a video on it 🙂
@@picsoleated I looked for it and didn’t see any recent video on the Steelseries 7+. This headset was just released
All I need now is Official Playstation black plates!! 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Best comfort headphones??
I wish the buttons were easier to locate and interact with.
So? A year later? Did it stand the tide of time? 😊
Mic test on pc doesn't sound the same as on ps5. Me plus 2 other friends use the pulse 3d and the mic sounds very clear and good overall
All my mic tests for PS5 Headsets are recorded through the PS5, unless otherwise stated
@@picsoleated okay thats weird, our mics sound way better in party🤔
How is this pulse headset compared to the sony platinum ?
By the way ive had my platinums since the god of war pro came out and two sets of gold headsets every single one has cracked at the foldable part so now my platinums are taped 😥 looks like these pulses wont break at least
@@chaosmaxtcg The pulse are plenty loud for me, even without turning them to 100% volume. The point of the headset is to sound good, with good volume....not to blow your eardrums out
@@mistermidas11 Speak for your self, I want to go deaf by the end of my gaming sessions.
@@thatguyjoe3649 haha - bare tinnitus for days after God of War.
The audio disappears when I hit enemy's sometimes both on hyperx headphones and TV speakers it just started month ago since last update it has worked fine before both on avengers ps5 digital edition och god of war ps4 disk but on ghost of tsushima that have headphones mode like most games the audio works good again. Can it help if I buy ps5 3d headphones midnight?
If i have the sony platinum 3d audio ps4. Is there benific to upgrade ro this headset ?
Great review. All Gaming headset are horrible. Best experience are headphones with a dac/amp. But for convenience gaming headsets will do the job. Just know that they all are below average in audio.
to be fair, they're not bad, i've definitely tried wired headsets that perform terribly, even through dac/ amps
@@picsoleated you could have a point. I did pick up the new Drop Sennheiser PC37X in which audiophiles argue is the second to best gaming headphones/headset but I till have not tried it. I’ve been using the Focal Elex and Hifiman Edition XX for gaming right now.
great review
does anyone know if at this point, 11 months later, if the battery life is now also 12 hours on the white and black headset?
thanks.
Help. This one works. But the 7P Plus are more comfortable, but the volume is too low.
If you have a arctic pro, if you change something to the software will it save and use it on the ps5?
Bro your the reason I got a arctis 7p headset and how I know how to change the settings to immersive via the steel series pc software, this comment is off topic but I just wanted To say thank you for your review and content !!!!
Glad I could help!
These headphones are great. The 3D sound is on point. Worth purchasing, unless you're partly deaf or have a big ass head 🤣
Nice video 👍
QQ please, Can I contact these to my phone via Bluetooth?
not wirelessly as it does not have bluetooth, unless you get a usb c to a adapter, plug the dongle in one end and the usb c end to your phones charging/ audio port. or a 3.5mm to usb c adapter to use the aux cord
Can any one confirm, is there any difference btw the white and black version? Technology wise?. Thanks
I doubt it bro... just a different color just like different controller colors
It's just a different colour
Wish the earcups were bigger
So both of the different colors both have the EQ setting now?
Yes
Now that the 7p+ got that price increase is it still worth buying those over the pulse 3D now that they have the eq settings?
No. I returned mine because there is no option for performance mode.
@@sumbodysayjsteat106 On the 7p+ ? I’m pretty sure they have it on the steelseries program if you connect it to your computer
@@jonathanmy3368 no option for performance mode. Shame really. 7p+ suck
You gotta decide what you prefer then look for the headset that does that
Hey what are those lights under the playstation lights?
How loud is this i want a loud headset is this for me
Certainly loud enough to give you a bad head
The sound on these are amazing , the only thing that gets me is the mic and maybe the build quality
same for some reason i thought they would have a more premium build to it. compare to my HS80 the pusle 3D feels like $30 headset. but with great sound
Yeah, at £300 I'd like to think so.
Do a eq settings
Is there anyway to set them up for PS4 ? Like can i set up the EQ through the laptop or idk. If there's a way to do it whoever takes their time to help me with this request. Please and thanks 🙏🏽
Link to the hat?
There is none anymore unfortunately **
Is it better than the hyper x alpha S???
yes
@@sityar really?? you know where I can find a video of them being compared I can’t find one anywhere
@@akirz8816 i own pulse 3d and they are such great headset. Give it a try specially if u own a ps5
sony makes accessories with planned obsolesces in mind, in a year it's gonna peel and break from every possible angle.
and before you tell me that you will take good care of it, don't. I've rebuilt and fixed at least 6 pairs all of'em were sony gold, platinum, and now pulse 3D, for all of them the ear cushions were peeled, and hings were broken in half, and the rest sounded flat compared to sony gold
I'm gonna need you to do update the video. Please about the headset how to set it up cause. I know they update the system in things change😅
I’m very satisfied with the headset, but I don’t understand why it switches audio output device from TV speakers to -> headset whenever connecting, but not in reverse or when the headset is turned off. So the only way is to manually switch over everytime
EDIT: Fixed when I put the headset’s charging port into my tv input i stead of through the PS5 inputs
That is not correct, my automatically switch’s to tv speakers…sounds like you did something in the settings
@@beno6354 same here. When I turn on headset, sound goes instantly through the speakers. When I turn OFF the headset, instantly goes back to the TV
Does anyone who purchased this experience unbalanced sound, like right cup is louder than the left?
Mic quality really that bad? Bummer
Is code for quickly playing
I own a set I have all ps5 only thing don't have is vr2 only coz not out yet I think they are great excellent for combat games gta and others does lack the sound quality £85 in uk and I have bose headphones that are £380 and I feel like im there maybe a few updates on headphones may help but u get what you pay for but I'm biast because I'm ps collecter ps5 next gen buy PlayStation just waiting for vr2 now but the bass could of been deeper the headphones are deep enuf but they will do but as you say we have things other earphones dont like eq and other things respect to you from UK keep up with great informative and helpful purchasing advise from UK respect bro keep it up
Mind cracked but it still works the left ear pieces is broken the holding pieces but the wire is still OK its stupid to me an I never dropped it I hate the small ear pieces that's holding the ear pieces.
Wanted to get this headset when I first got my PS5 but ended up getting the ls15p. They broke recently so I said fuck and got these except the white version.
Guya i need help choosing best headset for ps5 3d tempest engine but i also want to use them for music/ movies , standard stuff
1. Sony pulse 3d
2. Steelseries 7p+
3. Razer kaira pro ps5
4. Alienware aw920H
5. Sony wh1000-xm2
Please share your opinion only if you have actualy experience with ps5. Cheers :)
Sony wh1000-xm4 *
don't use bluetooth headphones with your PS5, it's not even possible so sony WH1000xm4 are off the list. Out of those I'd recommend the 7P+
I don’t trust Sonys headset. Their sound quality is behind with other headset. I had 3 on ps4 all of them were just average.
My experience has been different with sony's previous headsets, but I do agree I think they could've done better sound quality-wise for the Pulse 3d
I dont like the sound while playing warzone
warzone in general has a really loud sound design that i'm not a fan of, but yeah it sounds particularly hollow with this headset. try adjusting the EQ
The mic sounds terrible and my astro a50s isn't compatible so no point in getting a ps5
There is no such thing like a 3D Headset. Its all Software based with 2 Drivers. EQ setting for Shooters. Dont let them fool you man. Try a proper headphone on a seperated headphoneamp in normal Stereo and you will throw this plastic out of the window.
Huh
@@syx1200 😅
What they also won’t tell you is these headphones are really uncomfortable. Maybe it’s just my head but I’m not liking them at all.
They suck!
Funny he's looking for technical differences between the black and white headsets. I'm pretty sure the only difference is the color! Lol
How is the pulse headset vs the sony platinum ?
I love mine. Different strokes for different folks I guess 🤷🏾♂️
The headphone is circular but the inside where the ear rest is Oval , Just save you 2 min. Of your review. Your wellcome!
What the fuck is a PS5? Never heard of such things.
A legendary piece of machinery with locked features
Shame, id snap it up, just can't live with pleather and mic arrangement
Oh so now you’re considered to be a casual if you’re playing on the 3-D headset 😳
Hmmm 🤔 I believe people love to make things out to be more than what they really are…. I mean it’s just a damn headset… I put up big numbers and won numerous games in Warzone all with the 3-D headset…
So in other words how does it feel to be wrecked by a casual?
Lol it's not the serious. It's just for jokes. Have a good day 🙂
@@picsoleated Well tell that to the nerds that thinks otherwise… It’s those comments that you make that feeds the fuel to the 🔥

No if you don't like 3D pulse you have problem(nothing to do with art) you said it's like art you like it or not like it.No Simple things pulse are the best headset for ps5.The price good even if new players don't like better sound they prefer Cronusmax( low self esteem)Noob reaction Zen rather good sound.
noise canceling seems bad and the sound is horrible
They feel like a £15 headset 😒 and 2.4ghz 😬
I have ps5 I have 3D plus headsets
Wait i dont get the noise cancelling thing that u did. Lol.
That there cheap garbage?
YOUR CAMERA IS SHAKING THE ENTIRE VIDEO.
Nice video give away the black if you prefer white I keep white also white ps5/White controller's 😉
