I appreciate the feedback! I’m hoping I’ll get better at explaining things the more videos I do for the non-wrench folks. Few words come out of my mouth when I’m wrenching by myself and they’re not the type you want to put on a video lol.
Great video. I recently got an Abba Skylift for my RS660 for when I do my exhaust. I have bought the underslung Mivv but this is the best video with closeups I have seen yet for any exhaust install.
@@nippz05 I haven't received the exhaust yet. Been waiting months. Whilst a few people do have them most people in the EU and US have not gotten anything from those I have spoken to. I have got the addon cat and already received that as it was a separate order. From those that have the exhaust I have been told without the cat in the bike is obnoxiously loud. From videos I have listened too I think the Mivv cans have a better growl. I did ask for an update for mines delivery and it should be in the next couple of weeks.
@@nippz05 AF1Racing. I originally ordered the full carbon underslung can but they aren't making it for now so I changed my oder for the black can with a carbon tip. This is why there has been a delay for most people.
Nice, clean job! But you don't need to install lambda probes, the upmap your ar going to install disable 'em (as well as PAIR/SAS and tank vent solenoid) so just source a pair of M12 plugs for those ports.
Great video, I particularly liked your advice on the radiator, I’ve watched a few doing these and I always cringe when they try and wedge the headers up between the engine and the radiator, always thought to myself, why don’t they just remove or loosen the rad?!! Once those fins get damaged, they look horrendous!!
I appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I’m sure it can be done without removing the radiator but as you said, once the fins are damaged, it looks bad but it reduces cooling. Which happens to be one of the issues with this bike in the first place so it made sense to just move the rad out the way.
I would love to see more of your RSV4! I seen a shot of it from the side in another video and it looks good! Race fairings custom painted? If you have a video of that with the new fairings/finish? Thank you! PS good stuff on the RS660, seems like a great little tool!
Hey Ryan! I actually just sold it. It was starting to collect dust. I loved that bike but I can only afford to race one and the 660 is a lot easier on tires and fuel.
I got them here: www.motovationusa.com/?rfsn=6148013.9e2726 Not sure they carry them anymore. The product is great but it seems that they’ve been having manufacturing delays.
So if I forgot to put the gaskets back on is this a bad thing? I don’t hear and can’t find any leaks. Really don’t want to do all that work again. Thanks!
A couple of reasons. The CRT is LOUD. It sounds great on bikes like the R1 or RSV4. My wife had one on her RSV4 and I had the race oval on my RSV4. Hers was definitely louder but I liked the exhaust note on mine. Also, there is a performance aspect. More HP with the SC1-R.
I did not at the time I made the video because it was on order. I only ran the bike long enough to check for exhaust leaks and do a sound test. I actually uploaded a new map yesterday though. Video coming on how that went.
my question is if you can put the db killer back without problems? because there are many people who say that in this exhaust model you have to drill the carbon tip to be able to remove the welding of the nut that holds the db killer, so I ask if you can put it back again without it falling off? Thanks for answering me.
@@cristobalcampos4535 Gotcha. Yes, you can reinstall without any complications. I had to re-install it when I was preparing to race at Laguna Seca where they have strict noise limits. No drilling needed on my exhaust.
I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking because both sound tests were with the muffler on. The first sound test was with the decibel killer in the muffler. The second test was without.
Oh Sorry. Yes i was Talking about the db Killer. Was thinking about if buying the sc would be worth it, if i was using it with db Killer? Since we have to use the dB Killer in my country.
@@giobove9167 Now I understand. I don't know about the legality of it in your county but I will say that the DB killer wasn't much quieter than without. The first test was dB killer in. The second test was dB killer out. It is a full system so no catalytic converter.
Well done. This is a "courage-builder" for us non-wrench types. Thx.

How does the MIVV sound ?! Do you have the add on cat ? I'm thinking of getting either this SC projects or the MIVV high mount ... Tough decision

Looks great man!! Don't worry, locking pliers are standard when building race bikes!!

Thanks for the feedback! I know I don’t need the probes once the ecu is flashed but I didn’t have plugs on hand.
damn, such nice videos. super professional and high quality. certainly deserves more subs
Thanks, Nick! I appreciate the feedback! They took a long time to set up and it feels worth it when someone appreciates the effort.
Another great one Robert! Very well-explained with great visuals. Keep it up man! 🎉
Thank you!
haha awesome. i’m glad you’re doing all this before me so i can reference.
I’m happy to be a Guinea pig for ya! 😜
That sounds SO good!
Agreed! Not that it sounds horrible with the oem exhaust but it really came alive after the SC.
@@skwidvids Yes. I have a Tuono 660 and the stock sound is amazing, especially when the rpms climb!
Sounds mega!!

Great video! love the brake ducts where can I find those?
Thanks! Yeah, the ducts are really good quality. They're made by Strauss Parts but I'm not sure if they're still manufacturing anything.
The paste is supposed to go on the probes so that you can remove it later because it will rust
Correct. The paste can be used on any parts subject to high thermal stress such as the probes and any other threads or joints.

Wear nitrile grip gloves during handling of the Ti!

I don’t blame you. I wouldn’t want to do all the work again but you should definitely put the gaskets back in.
What made you go with this exhaust instead of the CRT? I’m looking at both but can’t decide which to go with.
Question, did you change the ecu when you removed the Catalytic Converter?
I did not at the time I made the video because it was on order. I only ran the bike long enough to check for exhaust leaks and do a sound test. I actually uploaded a new map yesterday though. Video coming on how that went.
Did you map the ECU right after changing the exhaust system?
I did. I actually did a video on that as well. These bikes are lean from the factory so running a full exhaust without a re-map is a bad idea.
Installing a sc by yourself deletes warraty?
The way I understand it, you void your warranty no matter who installs it.
Can you put the db killer another one?
I’m not sure what you’re asking. Can I put the db killer on another exhaust?
my question is if you can put the db killer back without problems? because there are many people who say that in this exhaust model you have to drill the carbon tip to be able to remove the welding of the nut that holds the db killer, so I ask if you can put it back again without it falling off? what tolls did you use to remove the fairings
Just an Allen wrench to remove the side fairings.
@@skwidvids there are clips holding them. I thought there would be a special tool to remove the clips so you don’t damage them.
